Two days after Hawkins was almost split open, Robin saw a woman pacing in the hospital waiting room.

There were plenty of other people as well, sitting or standing or walking the length of the room in a similar pattern, but there was something about the woman that Robin noticed. It wasn't just that she was beautiful, which she was- it's that there was something familiar about her.

She was in blue jeans and an old-school Hawkins High Letterman jacket, light brown hair twisted up in a claw clip. Robin had never met her before, she'd remember that at the very least, but still.

Something about the angle of her nose or the gentle waves of her hair felt like something Robin had seen before, something she'd be able to find in a crowded room or across a street.

But Robin had somewhere to be, so she shook off the odd feeling, and followed the familiar path to Steve's room.

"Hey Stevie."

Steve's smile was tired, but he was looking more lively than when he'd passed out in the waiting room the other day, so she'd take it.

"Robbie, you left me hanging yesterday."

She snorted and dropped into one of the chairs by his bed, swinging her legs over the arm rest and cradling the bag she'd brought with her in her lap. "You're the one who fell asleep during visiting hours."

He rolled his eyes, and she happily noted the colour returning to his skin. "You should be exempt from visiting hours, you're like...essential to my recovery or something."

She laughed to hide the way those words curled soft and warm around her heart, eyes stinging until she blinked it away. The dumbass had almost over-worked himself to the point of no recovery. "'Exempt?' Someone's been reading a dictionary- did one of your children leave theirs behind?"

"Oh fuck you-"

They were interrupted by a knock on the door, and Robin was startled to see the woman from the waiting room hovering behind a nurse.

"You have a new visitor Mr Harrington."

Even knee-deep in confused intrigue, Robin couldn't help but dramatically mouth Mr Harrington over her own shoulder, pleased at the face he pulled in retaliation.

And then the door shut, and Steve looked up to find the woman-from-the-waiting room standing at the end of the bed.

Robin saw his brain grind to a halt at the sight of her.

It was silent (well, as much as it could be in a hospital room, what with all the beeping and whirring) as they took each other in, and Robin slowly brought her knees in closer to her chest like it would shield her from the vague awkwardness chewing at her.

And then-

"Fucking hell, Eve." The woman breathed out, white knuckling the bar at the end of his bed.

At the same time, Steve's face scrunched up as he demanded: "What are you doing here?"

"What do you mean 'what am I doing here'? You're in hospital!"

"I thought you were in New York!"

"Yeah and then I got a call from Hawkins General that my little brother was dying in a hospital bed! Thank you for keeping me as your emergency contact, by the way."

"Well-" Steve spluttered and then crossed his arms over his chest, wincing at the pressure on his injuries. "Obviously."

Several things clicked into place like undone locks. Steve had almost been too comfortable about "feminine" topics for as long as she'd been an active member of his life- and even slightly before.

(He'd once run out of Scoops to buy her pads when she'd started her period in the middle of a shift. At the time she'd figured he was just trying really hard to beat the still a douche-bag allegations.)

Then there were the sweaters that he wouldn't confess to the origin of, the jokes he'd make about Robin "not being the only woman in his life" that she'd thought were about Nancy Wheeler, the vehement denial that the rom-com collection in the theatre room were his.

And, while Robin hated to enforce gender stereotypes, he'd always had the kind of mean girl cattiness that was usually only forged in teenaged girls and merely rubbed off on others.

Of course Steve Harrington had a sister.

Now Robin understood why she'd seemed so familiar in the waiting room.

"What happened to you?"

Simultaneously, Robin and Steve shifted uncomfortably, meeting each others eyes and coming up blank on both ends.

Steve's sister swallowed, jaw clenched and lip quivering as she look back and forth between them. She seemed suddenly fragile, like Steve after a nightmare, or right before he'd collapsed in the waiting room after carrying Eddie inside.

Steve cracked first. "Lou-"

"Don't fucking lie to me, Stephen. This is the third time you've ended up in hospital since your senior year."

Steve blinked, startled. "How did you-"

"I'm your sister." She seethed, and Robin could see flickers of Steve with an axe in his hand in the arch of her shoulders. "You might have told the hospital not to call but I still have friends in this town. If that Hargrove asshole wasn't already dead-"

"Lou-"

"Don't-"

"It was a serial killer." Robin blurted, drawing Steve's sisters' attention to her. "I don't now if you heard about it, but someone was going around killing teenagers. It started with Chrissy Cunningham- she was a cheerleader? kind of cute in a preppy sort of way, but, um- she was killed in our friends living room and then he sort of got blamed for it because, I mean, it was pretty sketchy but he didn't do it! I promise, Eddie didn't- anyway, there was this whole witch hunt, and two more people died which just sort of made it worse for Eddie and a group of us were trying to, like, clear his name, you know? Because we knew he didn't do it and we didn't want him to get killed next, but then one of our other friends - this girl, Max, she's a riot - she was being targeted by the real killer so we came up with this...really stupid plan to catch the killer but everything went sort of tits up and Eddie and Steve both got, well-" She waved her hands at the bandage around Steve's throat and the bruising around his wrists from the vines. "And Max, she broke her elbow and her knee when she fell, and I think Dustin twisted his ankle? So now Max and Eddie and Steve are all in hospital and Dustin has these crutches that he doesn't want to use but, I mean, Steve always makes him because it's Steve, and we don't really know if Eddie's okay yet but no one's come to tell us he's not so we're still hopeful-"

"Robin."

Robin shut her mouth, and took a deep breath through her nose. Steve's sister was staring at her in the startled sort of awe that Robin was used to seeing when she got going. She had the lungs of a trumpet player, it wasn't hard for her to talk until she forgot where she'd started.

"You fought a serial killer?" Steve's sister - Lou? - asked, and Robin hysterically felt like she should offer up her seat.

Steve, bless him, only nodded. Lou stared, lips pressed into a thin line and nostrils flared slightly.

And then, quite abruptly, she was straightening her back and stepping around the bed to hold out a hand to Robin. "Louisa Harrington."

Robin blinked, and shook her hand. "Robin Buckley."

Louisa nodded, like that made sense, and smiled the same cupids-bow smile as her brother. "The best friend- it's good to meet the other half of my brothers brain. Clearly the better half, considering you aren't the one in the hospital bed."

Steve made an offended noise, and Robin grinned.

Anyways here's some SWEET headcanons

Not all of them are nice bc I cannot be dragged away from the angst but most of them are!!

Valtor is legally a ward of Light Rock and will be until he turns 18 and competes in his rehabilitation. I imagine that Light Rock is actually a nice place, the Trix just did not jive with it or the concept of becoming better people. He does therapy at the compound, and his favorite type is art therapy. Valtor really likes it there with his 76 well trained older brothers who are also technically guards

He picks up a bunch of different hobbies at Light Rock. He loves all the activities. They introduce him to theater and it goes exactly like you expect. He LOVES it, and invites the winx et al to all of his shows. He loves the costumes and dramatics about it, and eventually he's listening to Stella talk about types of stitches so he can make his own clothes too

You know those magic limiters the Trix wore on their foreheads at Light Rock? Valtor wears one but he can break it and take it off whenever they want. They're still trying to find a way to actually limit his magic, at some point Valtor got involved in the process

People were first really worried that Valtor could take off the magic limiter whenever he wanted but it slowly became clear that he's perfectly content to stay put so eventually no one cares. The Light Council even gives permission for Valtor to use his magic eventually, despite the fact he's supposed to be limited

Valtor was the one who told Bloom how to get to Obsidian. Like he was there when that happened and he spent all his time after the Ancestrals got trapped trying to get them out so he can just tell the Winx

He obviously doesn't go with them, just because he has the ability to use free will and the obedience built into his essence is now gone doesn't make him immune to mind control spells and he'd rather not. He also REALLY never wants to be face to face with Belladonna ever again, Icy was bad enough tbh

When Bloom puts her hacks powers back where they belong (in Domino) and becomes a normal ass (still stupid powerful, shes related to Daphne AND part of fire mixed with her magic at this point) fairy, she has to learn how to fight like a normal person instead of abusing the fact she doesn't get magic exhaustion. She spars with/around Valtor, primarily because as the Wizard of Magic he can tell her when she's getting exhausted bc she doesn't notice

When the Winx practice group combat they usually spar with Valtor too, who is ecstatic to spend time with the Winx AND use his magic, and they're all there like "if you didn't pull your punches for most the year and have an obvious exploit in your design (aka if you were a nomral born person) we would of never won."

Valtor is technically transformed 24/7 and can straight up die from magical exhaustion. Unlike other magic users who would just detransform, collapse, and pass out, he's far too sustained by his magic to survive without it. This is one of the said design flaws that could be used to defeat him, please note how both this and ripping his elemental components apart would both kill him

He's a kid but he's the WIZARD OF MAGIC, literally anything that's magic is under his domain and he absolutely treated their fights as games bc he COULD curve stomp anything. Belladonna wasn't fucking around when she created him

He still considers Bloom his sister after she gives up her HAXXS that makes her magic feel like his. Bloom thinks this is adorable and takes him out for family time. Valtor looks forward to whenever anyone comes to visit him, especially when he gets to leave the compound (it's nice there but he's used to having access to a lot more space) but especially when Bloom does it

Magic attaches to symbols easily, and Valtor made his mark to make really complicated magic (like Witch magic mind control and Fairy magic power boosting) easier on himself. He made the symbol at like 4ish and has been using it since. Sometimes he makes the symbol from his hands when he just shoots magic at the problem bc he thinks it looks cool

Eventually Helia takes over administration over RF from Saladin Valtor likes to hang around the place and he gets to help out with combatting magic lessons! Exciting for Valtor, terrifying for literally all the students. Riven and Diaspro tend to be around™ bc Helia harasses them into being around and they do not help the situation. The staff at RF uses Valtor to haze the freshmen. Valtor eventually notices this and is stuck between intentionally freaking them out and not wanting people to be afraid of him

Bby Valtor is Belladonna's biological son, no father. He's made from a combination of all the elements instead of just fire and his true form is more uncanny and otherworldly instead of chthonic looking. A very strong "I shouldn't be looking at this" energy, his appearance sets off the flight or fight response but it's not incomprehensible or anything. He's still humanoid it's just when you're a creature closest in make-up as all 5 of the gods of your world you end up looking weird. Still dragon looking tho

Nabu comes around often to just chat with Valtor about his magic. As a scholar Nabu is thriving asking questions about Valtor and Valtor loves the attention, everyone else is a little concerned if Nabu should be getting child that nearly took over the dimension thinking about how to use his magic more efficiently but it's fine. Valtor is a good kid now

Btw if the planet of Espero (where dimension wide government buildings are hosted, including Light Rock) was ever attacked....no it wouldn't be <3 Valtor would put an end to that shit so quickly it wouldn't even be a fight

having a major dilemma with what class i want my next hawke to be. gabriel is sebmancing (YIPPE) and i think is gonna be blue/purple with a hint of red not sure yet but that’s not my main concern.

like for one im obsessed with a pro-mage hawke that isn’t a mage, i saw a post about how they’re like the only one who has had a truly positive experience with mages and magic on a personal level (the post was a lot more eloquent but i don’t remember who made it) and i’ve been knawing on it ever since. i know he wouldn’t be a rogue so i love the idea of the rogue prince and his knight in shining armor 🥺 he’s also very much himbo which i KNOW is cliche m!hawke characterization but i am not immune to himbo propaganda and warrior just fits that very well.. also im doing it in a more intellectual way so its fine. taking bethany into consideration i love a good older brother/baby sister dynamic, he would take her to the deep roads so the templars cant get her and im NOT killing her off for tragedy purposes this time so she'd become a warden. i havent spent as much time with bethany as carver and the other times i have i didnt know you could save the sibling you bring to the deep roads by also bringing anders rip :/

HOWEVER the older failbrother and little cringebrother dynamic with hawke and carver is just so appealing to me (especially right now in the midst of my succession brainrot being a kendall and roman girl). he’d also be a blood mage just bc i think it’s fun but also the contrast of blue/white holy prince and his red/black maleficar bf is *chefs kiss*.

okay actually after this stream of consciousness i think i will go warrior... like i obviously have more thoughts about that than mage, as much as i love putting blood mage pc into situations. okay time to spend 50 years in the character creator 😵‍

THANK UUU FOR LIKING MY CRINGY FANKIDS LOLLLL this is really sweet but i am afraid i have not. gone that far ahead. i dont rly have answers for any of this. mostly cuz.... i designed ayame and konoha bc as bio kids i get to like grab things from the canon characters to design them yknow and that was the fun of it to me (even if ayame truly looks just like ayano but thats the thing hehe i wanted to give her a sweet face but somehow she's frowning most of the time which makes ppl be like omg youd be cuter if you smiled more!!) erm erm erm i mean i did think some stuff like age differences and dynamics and stuff... but id be lying if i said i have any proper ocs thought out lol. mostly i have thoughts abt the first kid because in my insane sick brain i have a whole shinaya arc written. while ayano is adopting this kid I DONT EVEN HAVE A NAME FOR is when she gets back together with shintaro and shintaro goes through this process of oh my god i got ayano back after all these years and OH MY FUCKING GOD I HAVE TO BE A DAD NOW because its like. this was ayanos choice BEFORE shintaro and she probably does an ultimatum like lol i wanna be with u too but...this is gonna be my reality like im planning to be a mom and if u dont want to be along for this i totally understand. but shintaro steps up💪💪💪 at first its probably like i dont plan to parent ayano's kid we're just... taking things easy but its difficult not to immediately fall in a family dynamic as soon as it starts. i think shintaro doesnt realise he's a dad til the kid asks him if he can call him dad and then he flatscreens. also i think its a very quiet kid so sometimes he has this sorta kinship with him that he doesnt with ayano bc shes just so ALL IN UR FACE yknow. thats all just shinaya thoughts tho ok he is adopted at around 6 or 7 years old, and ayame is born like *quick math in my head trying to remember my little insane timeline i wrote in my post* 3 years later. so they have a big age difference. in my doodles i picture ayame around 11 or 12, so by that age this big brother of hers would be in college or something. she completely idolizes him and thinks of him as this unapproachable coolest guy ever especially cuz he's so much older. but for the other 2 id be lying if i told u i even imagined genders or something LOL like designing this would be leaving fankid territory and enter Proper Oc area sort of you know what i mean. i think theyre a little closer to ayame though and theyre little rascals and have a very tiny mekatrio pranking mode sort of thing. but... the other 2 would have a big age difference too. they were all adopted as like... from 6 to 10 years old ig and ayame yknow. shes baby. with this i wanted it to be like... ayame's thing is supposed to be that she is The Little Sister. like how ayano was the big sister. once more. imagine traversing through the literal underworld to get the Most Important ArtifactTM of your entire pantheon only to meet the god of death and/or funerals. and he is just. italian.

Anubis really wants to bully Bast for being a babysitter but he also realizes he has been a babysitter for the last 2000 years so he really can't say anything.

I cant tell if Bast would like this Anubis better because he is in general more mellow or if she would be freaked out. Like who are you and why are you wearing the dog's skin.

Anubis does, reasonably, tell himself that he doesn't believe in the christian god and/or a being higher than. well. them. but when meeting the Kanes he does ask a Higher BeingTM or the fates or whatever to PLEASE let him not get attached to them too. He has his hands full with the Di Angelos. Said Higher BeingTM or the fates completely ignores him and he gets really attached. As I've said before; absolute mother hen.

Sadie still has a crush on him. He tells her that he is way too busy to even consider himself as an actual person (and he also has already mentally put Kanes in the same category as the Di Angelos) so kinda a bad idea to develop feelings for him.

(assuming he isn't just straight up gay. which is my main hc for him honestly).

Can i do a plot-twist and just say he likes Carter more at least at first? Like of course Sadie can take care of herself even if she is like. 12 when they first meet. But I also feel like this Anubis sees Carter as the Older SiblingTM and relates a little too much.

Unrelated but I also love the thought of the egyptian gods meeting Anubis, thinking he is still an angry/bitter/angsty emo teen (or the ancient egyptian equivalent) and now he is culturally catholic and probably has Divine Anxiety or something.

I honestly just feel like whatever parts of Isis is AvailableTM when the Kanes are in the Duat just sees Anubis and, just like the godfather, goes "look how the massacred my boy".

Anubis does his best to help the Kanes deal with Set but he still has his deal with Hades and have to 1) make sure that Bianca and Nico are safe and 2) make sure no one at camp half-blood suspect that he is. a god. At one point he tells the Kanes "unfortunately greek gods do not grant paid leave so you are on your own with this."

Nico stuck at camp wondering why tf his older brother keeps randomly disappearing (especially in the middle of the night (he only finds out because he struggles to sleep. because he is 10 and everything is new and kinda anxiety inducing. so it is nice to crawl into Anubis' bed bc that feels safer)).

When Nico does actually catch Anubis in bed it is like when a cat sits on your lap. Like by instinct Anubis knows he needs to go and help the Kanes or talk to Hades but Nico is sleeping in his arms so he is legally not allowed to move.

(He also probably starts getting worried for how long he will be able to actually hold Nico since Bianca is gone and maybe even dead already)

I am not sure if I should include this in a post-titan's curse/the red pyramid version of this post but like. When (or if) Bianca dies and Nico runs away, Anubis 100% would go after him. So, yall think he would just take him to the House of Life? Yall think he would have actually told the Kanes about his job beforehand? Or would it just be him popping in with an absolutely FURIOUS/distraught emo child like "hi, hello, yes, this is technically but also not really my brother, our- or his- sister just died and I kinda want to make sure he doesn't get himself killed because I am already in bad water with my boss. Can yall take him in for a bit?"

I normally like to HC Anubis and Nico as physically looking very different but I also find it funny to imagine the Kanes seeing them side by side and going "are you sure you are not biological brothers?"

Bianca's death was/is tragic but the thought of Anubis learning to wrangle Nico as if he was nothing more but an angry/feral kitten is very lovely.

Au where Anubis casually gets assigned to be Bianca's and Nico's older brother, anyone?

(messy points below, mostly from Anubis' pov coz he is my pookie)

Like, once the other Egyptian gods start dropping like flies because the magicians are imprisoning them, assuming they may also go after Anubis, he turns to Hades as a very very very last resort because, well, he would like to not be imprisoned for all eternity, thank you very much. Hades agrees on the condition that Anubis looks after his demigods, since he otherwise really isn't to any use of him, which Anubis accepts. So, Anubis is basically the Hades/Pluto demigods' divine babysitter in exchange for some protection from the magicians who may or may not also want to imprison him.

I shall say that this either works bc A) Hades kids radiate enough death so that he can be around them without a host or B) it is all just bureaucracy so when the rest of the Egyptian gods are gone those rules simply do not really apply.

Anyways, once the Big Three ProphecyTM rolls around and Maria Di Angelo kicks the bucket, Anubis is left in charge of making sure the Di Angelo siblings survive, taking them to and staying with them at the Lotus Casino and the different schools that Hades moves them around to, either as their "older brother"/guardian or as their pet dog that the authorities simply don't bat an eye at.

The siblings, with their memories absolutely fucked up, simply accepts that they either have a brother, a dog, an older brother who is occasionally a dog, or a dog that only conveniently shows up when their brother isn't there and vice versa.

And since I haven't read any RR books since I was 12 and I never read the HOO series, I can't really talk much about the logistics from here on out but. I have some thoughts in general.

Anubis makes sure that he takes the majority of the responsibilities, so that Bianca can be a little more happy and a little less stressed than she would have been if she was alone looking after her little brother.

He also happily distracts Nico when Bianca needs a break, he can genuinely listen to Nico ramble about whatever for hours, remembers it quite well and can return the conversation, which Bianca rarely has energy for.

(He was the exact same when he was young and wants to make sure Nico has someone that listens to him)

Genuinely cannot rest until he makes sure the siblings are fine and safe, which becomes a bit of a problem when Bianca goes on her first and last quest, and even more of a problem when he is more stuck in the Brooklyn House and he has to keep contacting Nico before he allows himself or Walt to rest as a result of that.

He is so so so so SO protective of the siblings. He is absolutely ready to die or kill for them. He is not a fighter, more often than not a pacifist, but when it comes to them he is the first to throw hands.

Also him absolutely being ready to kill the demigods that find the siblings at the military school coz he is so used to the "any demigod or magician is here to kill one of us and I have to protect them at all costs" mode that he has been kinda stuck in for the last 70 or so years, minimum.

He is merely an older sibling running on the equivalent of 3 hours of sleep and 2 strong coffees, which really doesn't help the situation once shit starts going down in Brooklyn/the Egyptian pantheon.

Speaking of the Brooklyn House. After being a Divine BabysitterTM for like 2000 years he genuinely cannot get rid of those base instincts, which ends up with him fussing over the Kanes/Walt/Zia and the rest of the initiates because those are CHILDREN and they need to REST and be SAFE and EAT PROPERLY and TAKE YOUR DAMN VITAMINES, WALT.

Because of those 2000 years of babysitting, Anubis is genuinely amazing with kids. You'd think they'd be scared by him, but no. He is the first one they run to when they scraped their knee and need a band aid and a hug.

He also 100% stares right into Percy's and Will's souls the moment he finds out Nico has/had crushes on them. Despite being raised in an entirely different time he definitely is a "no dating until you are at least 25 otherwise I might have a heart attack" sibling and he is not letting some random demigod break his lil brother's heart. He accepts Will well enough though coz he makes Nico laugh which in the end is the most important thing.

Will might actually be more intimidated by Anubis than Hades but that doesn't stop him. Nico is his babygirl and he knows Anubis is (probably) more bark than bite (most of the time).

No matter if Hades allows him to like. stop being a babysitter once the gods are restored and Ma'at is balanced and all, Anubis still sticks around and checks in on Nico (and eventually Hazel). He gets antsy if he hasn't heard from them at least once a day.

He probably has a good base relationship with Jason and Reyna (bc both are protective older siblings when it comes to Nico) but he keeps Percy at a distance ever since Bianca's death (not that he blames him). But he isn't particularly close to any of them, as his priorities lay with Nico, Hazel, and the Brooklyn House.

Assuming Anubis doesn't like. Introduce himself to the greeks as "Anubis" and instead says he is someone else, I have absolutely no idea when or if he would ever tell any of the greek demigods what he truly is. But I suppose Nico would eventually find out that his older brother actually isn't related to him at all, or even from the greek pantheon, and instead only happened to become his older brother as a favour to Hades. Depending on how he finds out he definitely could get upset but I like to believe he sorta figures eventually, and is just happy Anubis genuinely cares for him.

I also like to think that the greek gods they meet when the demigods take the siblings from the school to camp half-blood, just gives Anubis A LookTM. Either they are fully aware he is protecting the Hades kids or they think an Egyptian god is just casually hanging out with some random demigods. Which must certainly be a sight to behold.

Can yall for a moment imagine being the Kane siblings, trying to get the feather of truth from the god of death to avoid the impending apocalypse, who then says "sorry I am mostly on babysitting duty so I can't really help yall more than this, good luck tho."

Walt who meets Nico and is so conflicted because in one way he is slightly weirded out by this tiny depressed gremlin, but in another way the Anubis PartTM of him is just going "protect protect protect protect", which is a weird first impression.

One of the Kane siblings would be interested in Mythomagic, I just know it. Either Sadie coz it is funky or Carter bc it is nerdy. Either way, Nico has at least one Kane to bond with bc of it.

Nico just has the ultimate diplomatic immunity because he can go between Camp Half-blood, Camp Jupiter, and the Brooklyn House basically as he pleases.

On a completely different topic, the majority of Nico's wardrobe is just shit he has stolen from Anubis, he just lets it happen, in part because it is not like he as a god has a limited wardrobe, and in part bc Nico is absolutely adorable when he drowns in Anubis' jackets bc they are too big for him.

Also, Anubis helping Nico train his death magic, and teaching him the easiest ways to build endurance while using it.

Frankly the thought of the rest of the gods being banished, imprisoned, in exile or attempting to free themselves while Anubis is playing babysitter is very funny to me in general. Imagine being Isis or Osiris and attempting to ask your nephew/son what he did during the 2000 years yall were imprisoned and he goes "I took a side job as a babysitter to pay the bills".

This is a series I will be starting and will be exploring friends and family with synastry. I am on the aroace spectrum and I don't see much exploration of this side (I've only seen them lately really) so I decided to add onto it.

This series will start with my older sibling (who I will refer to as Vanya since they remind me of her) & my dad with confirmed times. Then my step-dad, mom, and brother will be all together with unconfirmed times as a little add-on for their own post. So let's get to it!

Me: Sun & Mercury in 1st / "Vanya": Sun & Mercury in 2nd Other pieces point to this, but a big portion of my childhood was comparing myself to them & my brother. They are extremely intelligent, talented, and did many "firsts" in our family so I admire them a lot. At the same time they absolutely adore me as a little sister lmao (see mars overlay). They never explicitly told me why so I wish I could expand on this but unfortunately I was focused on being left alone. On the flip side, they were also very protective of me, and always made sure I knew that I had a place to run away to if I needed to get away from home after they moved out. They always shared their resources with me if they could.

*My venus is in their first, and theirs is in my third. I would make a separate section but I feel like I'd just be repeating myself lmao. We'd have a lot of car rides with long conversations but that's the only extra thing.

As long as our mars didn't get in the way, loved hanging out with them. As I just said, we had very long talks in the car, and sometimes would take aimless car rides just for this purpose (and as I got older I started to realize this was not something that people just did lmao). The venus overlay blends in with these tbh, it's hard to ignore especially with us moving and most of our contact is through phone calls, texts, or voice messages. We will flip between light-hearted conversation and very deep talks about society or how people work or how we coped with our lives and how we're coping now and "isn't that so fucked up that's fucked up right?!" and i'm blaming Both of our house placements for that one. However if I'm focusing just on the moon, you can Clearly see how we emote with each other and when we're enjoying ourselves or if we pissed each other off...and well we're water dominate.

Me: Mars in 3rd / "Vanya": Mars in 5th My fucking god lmao we got into so many fights b/c I did not like being touched. Very very very touchy, but we also hung out a lot as kids and enjoyed a lot of activities. Sliding down the stairs on a big mattress is one I vividly remember. They also made me love thunder/lightening storms by helping me make a fort to distract me and strung up lights so now I love forts & storms bc of that (but I need it decked out like that shit needs to be pretty, the curse of venusian moons). I think I'm displaying it pretty obviously here but my words were pretty direct most of the time, but I usually was found playing a lot of board games with them when their aries venus wasn't out trying to end me.

💾Aspects

Okay so. Here's where it gets fun.

So first let's establish that besides my mars, all of our inner planets are in degrees that corresponds with each others placements that will make any harsh aspects easier to deal with and strengthen our easier aspects. Their MC and sun & mercury's house lines up with how I wish to present myself. (I know this sounds really messy but I'm trying to Not throw their entire chart out to strangers haha). Backing up to just looking at signs, element wise we understand where we're coming from and for our venus signs--while there can be a clash and it can be frustrating, it's just the fact that we handle things differently. They're still cardinal signs so it's not that much of a struggle. This is a set up for me seeing them as the Perfect older sibling. On the surface it seems pretty easy especially with those overlays! Now let's get into it lmao

My Venus & Mercury Square Their Moon

One of our Biggest issues is that it takes us 2 months to get on the same page and understand where the other is coming from or why they said what they said. This is why lmao. My Virgo mars comes out Strong too when I believe they're reacting too "strongly" to something as well, because I don't see how I'm affecting them quite yet. I vividly remember a phone call lasting 2 minutes because I joked about hearing something in the background and they felt hurt over it and I was confused and didn't feel like talking afterwards because I felt like I couldnt talk (mercury) if they were that sensitive (moon) over something that small (square). Week or two later we just Talked and it was fine that's all you have to do, but it's just a problem to work on. The venus touches on the physical touch aspect. It is simply "I do not like when you touch me" + "but I like you :) hug". However, in typical water + earth fashion I pull a "I said it once Im not saying it again", and virgo is not as playful as gemini is. Literally just boils back down to miscommunication once again.

My Sun Opposite Their Saturn / My Moon Opposite Their Pluto

This is why I went so deep into degrees and elements earlier. Granted, everything said about this is usually in a romantic sense, but I really do not. Feel anything in terms of controlling or feeling stifled or sense what the opposing side is supposed to be going through from them. The most I get from them is that they're extremely protective from me, which in context anyone would be of their younger sibling. If anything it might come out during fights but I feel our lilith and mars more during fights lmao, and speaking of which:

Virgo Mars & Gemini Lilith VS Gemini Mars & Sagittarius Lilith

Christ. Mars overlayed in third is fickle and sensitive, and it doesn't help that my Lilith is in Gemini either lmao. It’s normal sibling shit, we bicker and annoy each other, but with the combination of both our placements and houses: when we have a fight we fucking have a fight. There are only two times I have ever yelled at someone and "Vanya" is one of them. They will poke and prod for funsies plenty of times and I can pick up on when it’s jokes and when it’s not (Gemini Mars VS Gemini Lilith). Sometimes I entertain it and when I don’t I tell them to fuck off or just don’t react and eventually they move on (Gemini vs Virgo). However, what you have here is not only two mercury placements going against each other, but two lilith placements that oppose each other. There’s going to be a lot of “getting under your skin” here, and mixed with water that’s not good lmao. You can assume the rest for yourself.

Besides that we have a bunch of easy aspects which is kind of obvious given our placements, but our modalities, degrees, and elements makes it a easier to overcome hardships in our relationship. They are the only person I have forgiven so far (including our mother) after overstepping a serious boundary lmao and I don't know if that'd be different if our charts were changed.

haikyuu sibling hcs

i am returning from the dead because of this, which has me going insane every time i think about it. there will probably be a part two of this. i simply cannot get it out of my mind

nishinoya’s sisters

all of them are older than him, but I’d say one is a year older than him (3rd year), one is four years older (3rd year of uni) and one is six years older (graduated a year ago)

the nishinoya’s are a Loud family. they are constantly yelling at each other, whether in an argument or just to talk to each other. they’re also all very messy, with the middle sister being the lesser of four evils by actually returning cups and dishes to the kitchen (she goes to all their rooms while she’s at it)

the eldest is the one who got nishinoya into volleyball. she played in high school, and she taught little 9-year-old yuu in the back garden as a reward for finishing his homework. she played non-competitively at uni and dropped it after, but she’ll still always practice with him whenever she’s home

the youngest sister dresses like an egirl and has the bleached streaks at the front of her hair. she had leftover bleach when doing it, so she convinced yuu to do a matching style, which is the origin story of the blonde streak in his hair

the youngest sister also plays football (soccer), and they help each other practice. they’re absolutely best friends.

all of them are Fiercely protective of each other. he likes to think he’s the one protecting them all the time but in reality he is the baby of the family and they would all rather die than let anyone so much as lay a finger on him

the middle sister is the only one with good grades, and they always say she has all the brain cells between the four of them. she also sleeps until 1pm (which doesn’t mix well with yuu’s tendency to wake up at 7am acting like he’s had three energy drinks) and went through a lot of boyfriends in high school (yuu tried to intimidate all of them, and failed, because he was 13 and short as hell). they get along better now she’s moved out.

the eldest is only a mature functional adult because she had to stop the rest from injuring themselves or each other constantly when they were kids. she’s the go-to for advice for all of them, but will always go to her brother when she needs to rant

the eldest got All of the height. she is a tall woman and she likes to use her siblings as armrests to make them feel even smaller. gives good hugs but also slaps her siblings around the head as a form of greeting

they taught yuu about style and respecting women. he chose not to listen when it came to style and wears ugly tshirts with funny slogans anyway, but he would beat up a misogynist.

asahi had a bit of a crush on the youngest sister for part of their second year and will NEVER admit it

overall they are chaotic, loud and messy but they get along really well, simultaneous hell yeah and big rip for the parents.

suga’s brother

ok listen he’s 7 (11 years younger) and babysitting him is part of the reason koushi became an elementary school teacher

he is o b s e s s e d with dinosaurs, tsukishima begrudgingly and secretly gives koushi his old, more childish dino-themed things to pass on to the kid

absolutely idolises his brother. wants to be Exactly like him. he rlly tries hard in school because of it (even though he has a pretty short attention span)

also wants to play volleyball bc of suga, and is his brother’s biggest hypeman

terrified of daichi but loves asahi. its asahi’s biggest win

makes suga watch disney movies with him (he doesn’t actually make him, its unclear which one of them enjoys it more)

kyoutani’s sister

she’s 23 (6 years older) and the COOLEST BITCH

has a sort of indie / grunge style, basically that fun y2k-ish style but with more chains and fishnets

plays electric guitar, has a bunch of stick and pokes, wears doc martens and is doing a masters degree in journalism.

she had a massive emo / punk phase back when kentarou was 10 and thought she was the most amazing person alive. he started trying to be punk like her and it stuck

they would kill and die for each other but argue All The Time. especially when he was like 13-14. basically hated each other but now they very much respect each other

they would play fight all the time that almost verged on genuine physical fighting. they still do sometimes, and she wins 90% of the time.

the most put together person you will meet in your life. its honestly scary how organised she is. time management queen.

the science genes run in the family. just started a master’s degree in biology and plans to do a PhD

every teacher that taught her expects tetsurou to be just as smart and capable. it annoys him, even though he gets the grades, because they assume he’s gonna be just as well behaved and organised as her. that man has not handed in a homework assignment in his life.

she has Long Ass, Thick Ass Hair and if she ever lets it get slightly out of hand it looks like a Nightmare

still hates tetsurou for making her practice volleyball with him when she was 12. she missed the season finale of a show she liked and then got it spoiled for her because she was helping him and she still holds a grudge about it

may be put together, but she’s still fun. will buy tetsurou alcohol if he asks her to (not too much tho, so parents don’t catch on)

he tries to flirt with her friends and she hates him for it (the newer ones that meet him when he’s like 18 seem to enjoy it and she hates that even more)

is Very intimidated by tetsurou’s volleyball team, will still bully him in front of them tho. when her and kenma team up they are ruthless and if he didn’t know they were joking he’d probably cry

yaku pretended to have a crush on her for almost a whole year in second year to annoy tetsurou. he even got her in on it and ‘asked her out’. it was the longest and most worthwhile con he’s ever pulled.

black rose arc, black rose arc, oh black rose arc!!! by you adding how do i feel about the arc in general you are unleashed me to make a long post giving my very disorganized thoughts about this arc.

a couple of people call it a filler arc? i guess technically it is because it does not directly contribute to the main storyline and it wasn't in the manga and also the ending of the arc sort of makes it so the whole arc kind of didn't happen???

but also i think if a person labeled it as a filler arc they are kind of missing the point?? even if it doesn't contribute to the main plot (which it absolutely DOES but i'll get to that) it adds so much nuance to the characters of utena.

you get to see side characters and how they tick!! some of which like kozue and shiori become very important later as they become miki and ruka's rose brides in the akio arc! (side note : what was up with ruka he just kind of showed up and disappeared lmaooo)

also, it adds to akio! (tw warning for only the next paragraph, i'm talking about akio so you can except me talking about grooming and abuse)

not only is this where akio is introduced, but he is always so omnipresent. it was ... honestly really terrifying to see how chill he acts with utena here. of course the real grooming begins in the akio arc but you can see how he starts here. how he kind of builds himself as anthy's cool older brother that utena can trust and ask for advice for... but we the audience know that he CANNOT be trusted as even know we see him being shady af in the background. i really feel like if we skipped straight from the first arc to akio arc a lot of the creepiness of akio would not have been realized because of ... just how NORMAL he akio acts to utena. he's charming, he's smart, and he overall is somebody utena SHOULD be able to trust bc we should all be able to trust an immediate family member of a best friend , but of course the world doesn't really work that way. anyway akio tangent over because BOOOOOO akio (he honestly terrifies me so much because of how many predators like that exist and you can meet without realizing their intentions)

BACK TO BLACK ROSE ARC

one of the main reasons i feel like this isn't a filler arc, at least not in the traditional sense of the phrase, is because it builds a lot character relationships. something that i didn't like when i first watched revolutionary girl utena but now is one of my FAVORITE things is that for a while we don't really get a straight forward utena/anthy episode. because their relationship doesn't need to build in an episode, it just slowly builds over time. we just see these two causally existing and they just start to trust each other.

in the akio arc we get to see just how close utena/anthy have gotten over the series because of their late night conversations. like how if the black rose arc didn't exist akio wouldn't have been as impactful, if the black rose arc didn't exist it would feel more sudden how close utena/anthy have grown imo.

this arc adds a lot to the world as well. as long as the students stay inside of school they will not grow. dead people wander the halls thinking that they are still alive. these two facts contribute a lot to utena theorizing and analysis (mainly, the ideas that ohtori exists within a plain of frozen time literally because of anthy's magic and metaphorically because the cast is very cozy in their coffin) and i could not thank this arc for that enough. not only are these very cool ideas that may or may not have inspired elements in my own story (i can neither confirm or deny that one of my oc story is heavily inspired by utena) but they just add so many layers!

this arc also felt necessary because of the new duelists??? if we went straight from the first arc to the akio arc then it would've kinda gotten very tiring to see the student council constantly duel and lose to utena (with the exception of touga's sole victory to utena in the first arc before she duels him again and wins) but these new duelists possessed by the black rose are very interesting!

if i did have to make a compliant about this arc, though, i will say that at times the stories felt very disconnected to each other. while it was very funny for utena to not even know who keiko was when she dueled her, it would've been nice if sometimes the arc of the black rose duelist intertwined more with utena. as the arc goes on, the student council is on alert and is trying to figure out where the black rose is coming from, but they never really try to ask utena about it and utena never really tries to get involved? she just is chill until she gets the note to go to the duel arena to fight the black rose duelist. i don't really have a solution on how to fix this? maybe have the student council member that the black rose duelist takes the sword from be more involved? idk.

the villain of this arc mikage also really fascinates me??? i... really like him??? but not even as a villain ... i just really pity him. the realization he has in his duel with utena that everything he has been doing is for nothing because mamiya is already dead .. that always really hit me? the horror in his voice when he starts to recall the truth in his false memories.... for some reason, this is one of the most terrifying parts of the show for me. the realization that something you were doing, something you were doing that might've been awful but you were doing it because of somebody you care about deeply and love, it was all for nought. how much time he has wasted...

even before his duel with utena, there's this moment when after he got punched by utena he says something like "if she hadn't seen my duelist ring and challenged me to a duel, she could've killed me" or something like that, he's just so pathetic and i feel very bad for him but at the same time am too disconnected to him to truly feel empathy for him... that's some TOP TIER shit

overall, this part of the show is one of my favorites. the only part i like more is the last few episodes because it makes me very emotional.

NOW FOR THE SPECIFICS

favorite black rose duelist: honestly? wakaba. the girl deserves it this is stress relief for her. not only is this duel very emotional as i don't think we've ever seen utena refuse to duel somebody (at least not in the way that she does in this episode) but just the SHEER emotion.

i'm a real sucker for fighting the person you care about the most which is why the dark signer arc in yugioh 5ds is the best yugioh arc and this just really takes the cake in this arc. utena always shows concern for the black rose duelist because they are clearly people in pain who were not able to properly duel with their grief which let mikage manipulate them, but it's taken to a new level here.

the way that after the duel is completed, wakaba comes home to her empty dorm where saionji used to be but now isn't always gets me. she's just such a lonely girl and that's never really resolved for her. a lot of the other duelists have a optimist note to end on (kozue asking miki for a milkshake, shiori and juri saying hello to each other as they walk past, keiko being friends with nanami again, etc.) which is why the fact that wakaba is more alone now then she is ever... it is a feeling i can relate to an almost embarrassing amount.

favorite episode: COWBELL OF HAPPINESS, NANAMI TURNS INTO A COW-

favorite episode that isn't cowbell of happiness: i'm very torn between the landscape scaped by kozue and thorns of death. shiori and kozue are both very interesting characters that i like a lot. but i'm going to go with thorns of death for now, as while i really like the landscape scaped by kozue, i think my preferred miki/kozue episode is their episode in the akio arc. meanwhile i like thorns of death way more than i liked whispers in the arc (mostly because i just do not really care that much for ruka, but azure paler than the sky was a banger and he was in that?) i just loved the feeling of seeing shiori the girl juri loves so much and juri's reaction to seeing her. the way my heart was wrenched when black rose shiori mocks juri... it really did hit different. but the hopeful ending did make me feel a lot better. i do like the way that juri out of all the student council members is the one closest to self actualization and this really sets that up even if there is still a bumpy road until then.

honorary mention: the boys of the black rose and kanae as a black rose duelist are both really great. i feel like if this wasn't the arc opener it would've had more room to stretch its legs and show how horrific it could've been. kanae is a girl i feel really bad about and similar to wakaba, i don't really think her episode was a very optimistic ending for her especially since akio probably killed her later in the show?

honestly the minute akip appeared on screen, engaged to a girl who HASN'T EVEN GRADUATED and is also emotionally manipulating her so much and having his little sister manipulate her too... throw the whole man away

tl;dr - the black rose arc is very good and i like it a lot, the ending of the arc really fucks me up, somebody give mikage & all the black rose duelists therapy, throw akio in the garbage, and this show probably exists in some sort of time loop / frozen time space as a metaphor for the whole coffin thing but you can probbaly find people smarter than me talking about that.

Why are there any ships in fairy tail at all anyway?

Admittedly it has been a bit since I read through it, but I feel like the whole point/theme of fairy tail is their familial bond and how much strength they take from their guild family so why there be ships??

I understand that some characters would naturally fall into relationships, but I feel like most of the ones in ft don't.... make a lot of sense. I'm mostly talking about the canon ships, though some fan ships are odd too

Not that you can't enjoy them I just don't understand them. To each their own, right?

And also, I feel like there are a lot of issues with canon ships? Take Nalu for example. Their relationship reads to me like a sibling one. Lucy is the older sister and Natsu is the annoying younger brother who constantly pokes around in her stuff and goes off on a rampage if someone hurts his sister.

I fully admit that I could be influenced by various fanon that I've absorbed over the years, but Natsu and Happy are constantly breaking into Lucy's apartment and using her stuff without asking. Lucy's constantly surprised and tries to kick them out when she walks in to find them already at home so I highly doubt that she gave them permission to drop by whenever they feel like it to use her stuff.

Even at the end of ft, when Lucy gets her award for her book, the first thing that happens the next morning is Natsu and Happy barging in, waking her up, and then Happy damages her award by scratching it even though they should know by then how important publishing a book and getting recognized for it is to Lucy.

But it's fine cause they'll "always be together." right?

I guess I could see Nalu happening as like a "we're already constantly together, might as well try it?" kind of relationship, but not as a together forever one.

Gruvia I don't understand at all. Especially don't understand how Gray goes from being creeped out and uncomfortable around Juvia in the beginning to "your body belongs to me." Which is icky to me for a whole other reason, but I digress. Still don't understand it.

I think Juvia was done dirty. She ended up obsessed with Gray because he beat her and made the rain go away right? She could've gone on to explore a world that wasn't constantly grey and wet, she could've been infatuated with Gray for a while before realizing that her feelings weren't reciprocated and moved onto something else. She could've become her own character, instead of a cardboard cutout with alarming amounts of stalker painted on.

Seriously, when Gray goes undercover in that Zeref worshipping group I forget the name of, Juvia literally gets so depressed she becomes the rain woman again and sits outside for, what was it, three months? And gets sick for her troubles.

I think Jellal should've had more than just a amnesia, remembered everything during tenrou's 7 year nap, "I can't love you bc of all the things I feel bad about." And Erza should've had more than "you were my first love, you killed my childhood friend, I thought you died, I forgive you."

Obviously that's oversimplifying things, but they both have issues relating to the tower of heaven that need to be addressed and worked out.

I do like Jerza, I just think it needs some fleshing out.

I like Gajevvy. My only complaint about this one is I would've liked to see more of Gajeel changing from the asshole he was bc of phantom and start making active decisions and changes bc of ft's influence into the mind of person who likes to dress in fancy white suits and sing in stage and puts everything on the line to protect his guild.

Was that a coherent sentence? Idk man, it's late and that's what you're getting.

I also would've liked to see more of gajevvy becoming friends and then moving into lover territory.

Hm, I probably like this one the most bc we can actually see Gajeel go from sadistic asshole to prickly but caring family.

Evergreen/Elfman just feels like "oh, a male and female character are teamed up, let's put them in a relationship."

Ultimately, I don't understand it, but I don't have any feelings about it either way.

i love reading these types of tweets, just people talking about the character in canon, analysing what furudate was trying to depict when he wrote these characters. also the phrase “monsters can only thrive among monsters” ???? fuckjng love that, so much to unpack tbh.

idk i just rlly want to see these characters thru the eyes of the author. it’s hard for us readers when 1) we don’t know the thought processes behind the making of each character, and 2) many characters we only see on the volleyball court. but people act differently in different situations. i know it’s a pipe dream but i always hope for more canon haikyuu content outside of volleyball, just regular slice of life content, just teens being teens (i know haikyuu-buu exists but it’s not confirmed to be canon so 💀)

- 🪢 sorry this become somewhat of a rant. this has been on my mind ever since i started liking suna, i couldn’t find posts / tweets like this for suna so i rlly struggled trying to fully understand him (which irritated me bc it felt like he was a one dimensional character ��)

The amount of nerdy that I am I LOVE shit like this.

Which you know what is interesting is the way each can be laid out for each characters struggle with loneliness and how Sakusa’s is clearly the easiest to identify and yet people chastise him almost the most (Have y’all ever met only children? They can be a little weird and I’m married to one ok so I get it) But ironically Bokuto is one I never thought about (though I’ve thought in depth over Akaashi’s bc he latches to the 3rd yrs and then gets physically left alone) 

Bokuto’s loneliness is weird bc of course when Furudate let out who has siblings (which I got way too nerdy about that bc the family dynamics were real obvious after Furudate gave us siblings to characters) Bokuto is the youngest among three and anyone who’s ever had/known three kids is the baby is almost always the golden child in some way. On purpose or not. Like how much older are the sisters? Are they close? Did they baby Bokuto and that’s why he’s so focused on the team? (bc he needs someone to not really “take care” of him but at least guide his emotions at least) We see Oikawa’s sister is obviously old enough for him to have nephew that old so clearly they weren’t raised too much together (age gap) But Bokuto being the baby among two older siblings (female) in an Asian family really would speak to his need for attention bc he’s 1. The baby and 2. The only male child. Not faulting Bokuto at all bc like, he could really be a dick but he’s not. Which makes me feel like the sisters are closer in age bc if you’ve ever had siblings you know your ego gets to be in check no matter what. Bokuto’s loneliness is just something fun to pick apart bc it’s not exactly loneliness (or at least I don’t see it that way) like out of all of them he’s def seeking validation more than anything it feels like. Anyways- Sorry I’m rambling I like character analysis way too much XD

But god yes the lack of content outside the volleyball realm drives me crazy. Especially post high school in that short 5 year span before MSBY v Schweiden. Which this is my total bias talking but I constantly want to know when and how it happened that Kageyama just, mellowed out. He’s reintroduced not even really with a scowl. Totally unphased by the dumbshit Hoshiumi does, he’s surrounded by little kids (which I still wanna know when kids started to like him bc he’s the only one seen with a lot of younger fans repeatedly) and he smiles like a lot. Growth from the MSBY team always circles back (for me at least) for the four of them being together and growing like that. But Schweiden doesn’t have that substitute brother feel? I mean I think Kageyama and Ushijima get along real well (simpletons) but what about the other teammates? (Hoshiumi still has feral vibes that never leave I love him for that) But Kageyama was with them graduation on basically so who helped him mellow out? Who had such an impact on him that Kageyama kinda relaxed back into his interested, wide eyed and calm middle schooler self who was just enjoying playing volleyball. Like, Furudate??? You can’t just give me my man vibing being sweet and dealing with Hoshiumi’s bullshit and not tell me when it happened?? Was it personal life growth?? Was it the team?? FuruDATE GIVE ME ANSWERS

No one ever really points this out (or at least I haven’t seen it) but the two panels we get of Suna timeskip he’s smiling. I don’t know why but I just feel like that speaks to his character a lot. That he’s actually really a happy individual he just hated high school. He was in the lowest academic class, he loved volleyball but hated any variation of the twins and Kita and he was good at what he did but never really shined over having to deal with everything else. Which I mean he’s def not a spotlight kinda guy but even when they’re watching past games for prep Ukai has to point out Suna is the main point getted for Inarizaki (bc everyone is focused on the twins) I dont know...I just kinda find Suna interesting bc he’s seen as almost mean but timeskip Suna is smiling, chatty with Komori and good enough to be in the top leagues. He always struck me as one of those kids who hated school but was incredibly smart. Which is why I probably liked canon Suna a lot quicker than whatever the fuck the fandom depicts him as. (not to mention the being the older sibling so anyone who’s older knows you tend to be the emotionally calm one to not stir the pot and keep things calm at home which would really explain Suna’s deadpan look a lot just from personal experience as the eldest child)

When you had figured out you had a crush on a gangster, you knew there were risks.

So you can imagine your own disappointment in yourself when you realized the gangster you liked was the Ultimate Gangster. A Kuzuryu. You fell in love with a Kuzuryu.

But oh lord did you fall deep.

You were already friends with Natsumi, you were used to dealing with the overly aggressive and arrogant front from your brothers. So becoming friends with the girl was easy. Hajime didn’t see how you were able to do such a thing, but appreciated it since it meant he had to break up less fights between her and Sato.

But then there was the day you met the older brother of the (self-proclaimed) Ultimate Little Sister.

The boy hated you at first, especially when he saw what looked to be a gang symbol on that jacket you wore almost all the time. But he mostly hated you due to his overprotective nature of Natsumi. Even though he wouldn’t say it out loud, it was painfully obvious that he was simply looking out for her. You understood, of course. Your own older brother was like that constantly when he was alive. And now that you were the oldest sibling, it was your job to be that way with your other brother.

After a little while though, he learned to not pay much mind when he heard your motorcycle come up to the school. Or when he would see you next to Natsumi. Nor when she would bring you up in conversation like you were the only one she actively hung out with. Through further investigation, he found this was exactly the case. It took longer than he would’ve liked, but he found that Natsumi only had one actual friend. And that was you. That’s when he started to appreciate you a bit.

However, he noticed rather quickly that she only ever used your first name. She never mentioned your last. This made Fuyuhiko suspicious, but he figured she didn’t want your name out amongst the clan.

After Natsumi died, the boy began to see and hear of you even more often. Apparently you had made friends with Peko at the funeral, which he certainly did not expect. He didn’t even realize she had invited you to the funeral by demand of his father. But it was that fact that got him to finally take an interest in you.

Your first meeting that wasn’t a simple wave from you followed by a scoff from him was when you were with Peko in the dojo. He watched the two of you train and meditate, not saying too much until you mentioned your little brother. You had an angry little sibling, that’s how you became friends with Natsumi...

So naturally, that’s what he brought up when the three of you left. You and Fuyuhiko were walking next to each other to your motorcycle home while Peko went her respective route (as to not be connected as Fuyuhiko’s bodyguard). The two of you got along well, surprising the short boy. You could handle his anger issues and calm him down just as well as you did with his sister.

Eventually it had gotten to the point where you got along too well. Which is what lead to today...

You found yourself running out of the reserve course building faster than Hajime even. He watched you run off with a chuckle, wishing you luck on your mission. What was that mission exactly? Confessing your feelings to a certain yakuza.

You had met up with Peko earlier that day, she helped you prepare the letter and cookies. She then took them to her classroom and placed them on Fuyuhiko’s desk. When he had first seen the two, he immediately asked Peko who put them there.

“I did.” She said nonchalantly before quickly adding, “I was asked to by someone.”

Fuyuhiko raised an eyebrow, curious as to why she hadn’t given a name. He knew it couldn’t be from Peko, he would’ve seen her make the cookies. He also knew she wouldn’t deliver him anything that was unsafe, so he opened the letter before the bag of sweets.

Before you ask, you do know me, but I’m not telling you who I am just yet. All you need to know for now is that I really like you, I have for a while. Even before we met, I admired you from a distance, which is kinda embarrassing to tell you.

Now this got the gears in Fuyuhiko’s head turning. Someone liked him? Why? How?? Who???

Peko refuses to tell him either, using the excuse “you said I don’t work for you while at school” with a small playful smirk. He wanted to yell at her but it was Peko, he just can’t bring himself to yell at her.

He spent the rest of the day trying to figure out who sent it. It wouldn’t be anyone in class cause Peko put it there. He wasn’t close with many others in different classes. Part of him thought it was someone in the reserve course because it said to meet them between the two course buildings. Except Y/n was the only one he was close with in the reserve course, plus they were the only person to call him “Fuyu”. But there was no way they liked him back... right?

So he went with the only option he had, he was going to see who gave him this letter.

You sat there at the fountain. Hajime had told you it’d be a good place to meet up with Fuyuhiko, since he often sat here with Chiaki. He told her to meet him somewhere else today for you. So here you sat, waiting for someone who may not be interested in coming.

Just as you were considering giving up and going home, you caught a glimpse of a short blonde boy in a main course uniform.

“Y/n..?” He sounded like he didn’t believe you were there. You gave an awkward wave.

“Did you like the cookies?” Your voice was light as he walked up to you, standing only a few feet away.

“Yeah.. they were really good..”

Fuyuhiko’s face was slightly scrunched, like he was thinking about something serious. It left you concerned but you didn’t know what to say. Instead there was a short and kind of awkward silence. It was deafening. After about a minute, he voiced his thoughts.

“You realize how dangerous this is, right?”

Your head tilted in question, making the boy sigh.

“Don’t.. get me wrong, Y/n. I... I-I really like you too.” Your face lit up for a moment, making his next words hard for him to let out. “But.. I’m a yakuza- the heir to the most dangerous gang in Japan.. people are gonna target you. I can’t have that.” He let out another sigh.

Your own face contorted into one of slight confusion. It slowly turned into amusement, causing you to cover your mouth to let out a stifled laugh. Fuyuhiko looked back up, clearly irritated.

“What the fuck are you laughing at?!”

His angry voice was amusing to you and made you laugh even more. This only pissed the boy off further. He stepped forward again and grabbed you by the shoulders, bringing your face close to his.

“This fucking is serious, Y/n! I don’t want to get some call that someone has you hostage! I don’t want to make you go into hiding cause someone threatened to hurt you! I don’t want to end up with you beaten to a pulp! I don’t want to find you dead in a warehouse cause they want to get back at the Kuzuryu clan! I just fucking can’t! Not after.. not after Natsumi..”

His hurt words forced you to calm yourself down. You took a breath and brought your hands from your mouth to his face, his freckled and blush-marked cheeks in your palms. A reassuring smile was steady on your lips.

“Fuyu, what’s my last name?”

The question took him off-guard for the third time that day. He knew Natsumi never mentioned it, neither did Peko. Why did this matter?

“I-I don’t know,” he answered honestly anyways. His eyebrows furrowed in frustration as he waited for a response.

“Owada.”

Fuyuhiko froze for a second. Owada? As in the biker gang Crazy Diamond?? How did he not figure that out??? Your motorcycle, the jacket you almost always wore, hell even the mention of your dead older brother and alive younger one should’ve been a hint.

It took him a minute to realize why you would bring that up. You had protection from that sort of thing. You were used to being targeted. You could defend yourself with ease. You weren’t gong to end up beaten to a pulp or dead in a warehouse like he had feared. You could take care of yourself even with all the violence surrounding gangs, cause you were the coleader of one. Or at least, your brother was the leader and the gang would protect you.

Once again, you let out a small laugh at his facial expression. It had snapped him out of his thoughts before he angrily grabbed you by the collar. He gave one last look into your happy eyes before kissing you.

To say it was inexperienced was an understatement. But you couldn’t care less, this boy was yours. He felt you soften up and let himself do the same, relaxing into the feeling of your connected lips.

Pulling away, you could see the smile on his face grow wide and the red on his face spread even wider. Both of you stood there for a while, simply staring into each other’s eyes. That is until you heard the engine of a motorcycle in the street.

“Y/n!” You let out a sigh and turned to your younger brother with a deadpan face.

“Mondo, I’m in the middle of something here.”

“You can have your fuckin kissy-face shit later, right now the dudes n chicks are wondering where their soon-to-be former leader is! You’re late for your step down party!”

Step down party? Fuyuhiko decided not to question it too much, he’ll probably ask about it later though.

Mondo stood from his bike and took a few strides towards you and the short boy, causing Fuyuhiko to look around to see if Peko had followed him like she usually did. And of course, she had, right behind the bushes surrounding the fountain. He turned back to see you next to your brother, smacking the back of your his head and messing up his pompadour. He looked like he wanted to smack you back but he knew he’d be in some deep shitif he tried. You turned back to Fuyuhiko, kissing him on the cheek lightly.

“I gotta head back, but I was thinking maybe I could get you a ride around town on my bike tomorrow? Like as a first date maybe?”

His smile couldn’t be wider.

“Yeah, I’d really like that- but don’t fuckin crash and kill me!”

“Just cause I’m stepping down as leader for Mondo doesn’t mean I won’t know how to drive a motorcycle anymore, Fuyu!”

He smiled as you let out a final laugh, turning towards the motorcycle Mondo had driven as getting on the backseat. Said brother tried to turn and yell at Fuyuhiko one last time.

“Hurt them and I fuckin swear-”

“-Mondo shut the fuck up and get on.”

“Peko, you’re not killing my partner’s brother.”

explain olivers foresight now or die

I WENT INTO OLIVER'S WHOLE BACKSTORY BC OF THIS. I AM SO SORRY. also sorry to ios users because this sure is a long post and thats a blocked word FJNREGJRNE

tldr, he gets funny little phone calls from the future, and depending on the importance of what's being talked about, it can be from as far ahead as a few hours to a few thousand years. also stuff doesnt always come true.

OKAY SO. oliver's foresight!

so the way oliver got his supernatural abilities was. kind of barbatos's fault, actually. oliver was born into this super religious but also super gullible household, and basically, each time his older siblings had been born, his parents had prayed to "angels" to bless their kids.

except it wasn't actually angels, it was a couple of asshole brothers pretending to be angels to forward their own ideals and such.

so like, oliver's oldest brother was "blessed" by lucifer with leadership and success, so now he's a big CEO, except he hates it and desperately just wants to live a normal life away from the politics. oliver's sister was "blessed" by asmo with charm and beauty, but she also can't connect with people, to the point that it took years to connect even with her own brothers. and oliver's last brother was "blessed" by belphegor and now hes just a mcfucking mess.

so oliver got barbatos. and barbatos gave him foresight, and nothing else, because foresight itself can be as much as a curse as it is a blessing.

when he was a kid, this wasn't too bad. it was the sort of thing that got worse with age, especially since he and his siblings are now growing up and their parents are realizing "oh god those weren't angels" and just arent telling their kids whats going on. so oliver knows something is wrong, because he'll sometimes look at people and get these weird premonitions. yknow all those horror movies with creepy kids that look like they Know something. thats baby oliver, except his premonitions were more "you will get a 74 on the test" and "there will be a shortage of your favorite ice cream flavor"

this got a lot worse as he got older, though, because sometimes he'd see bad stuff and get really anxious, to the point that he couldnt really function as a person because of all the anxiety attached to possible timelines that may or may not come true and had to be avoided best he could. this lessened when he went to RAD, luckily, since he felt more relaxed knowing everyone here was super powerful and could handle stuff.

as for his phone, when oliver was growing up, he was really attached to this goofy little flip phone he had, because it was his one method of communicating with all his siblings when they started going to college and stuff. by the time he hit high school, he was so attached to it that his abilities started manifesting through it. he could basically "pick up" the phone to get premonitions, but now he had the choice to just. not pick it up

so for the actual minutia of his abilties, he:

- gets phone calls from the future - he cant call himself. it has to be someone else, either a person with time-related abilities, a person with heightened magic, or a demon pacted to him - they have to call a certain number - depending on how important it can be, it can be a call from like. the next day (for like, minor bets) or thousands of years ahead (world-altering events) - not everything comes true. the future is uncertain! - he can get premonitions without a call, but those can be really uncertain and anxiety-inducing, so he typically chooses not to unless its an emergency

also hes not atcually related to lilith because that plot point sucks. instead hes just able to hear her voice through the calls!
