I know I complain about this all the time but I’m so frustrated by how amazing the storytelling is for sims 2, while sims 4’s prewritten stories are bland at best.

ive been playing a little early strangetown and starting thinking up college hcs for these gyals theyre still kids in my game.. whatever. im the planner

ok first, ages since theyre all fucked up in game: Instead of the twins being older than all of glarn's kids, they're only a year older than lazlo which Yeah would mean glarn got mpregnant and disappeared from the house for some months to hide it (idiot), dropped the twins at his lovelorn ex-wife's house, and returned home to his "normal" kids. They'd otherwise be in their mid-late 40s living with these recently graduated young women and like for what 😭 As of 2004 they are 26, erin is 24, and kristen is 23. she skipped a grade so she was a college freshman at the same time as eri ^_^

but anyway this drawing is set in 1998 HERE ARE THEIR MAJORS: Lola in poli-sci, Chloe in philosophy (she never fucking chose), Erin in psychology, and Kristen in public health but in-game it would be biology stop i wanted them all to begin with P beacuse. silly. kristen's mom, being an older and more traditional parent, wanted her to pursue a career in medicine but after her death kristen got the courage to choose the major she wanted, which was <whatever major gives you a boost in athletic LOL i havent checked>

gah i didn't mention but college is where the 4 of them met :3 I'm thinking of placing them in this university because i want it to be pretty far from strangetown hence the Actual Grass, plus kristen isnt actually from there so mission u may be closer to her hometown? maybe? Post-graduation they all get a house together because of their money situation even though chloe is a bitch to kris and erin 😭 (kris doesnt mind though eheh... my idea is that her and chloe had a fling in college but while chloe is a romance sim and does not gaf, kristen is still a bit hung on her) (i dont necessarily ship them tho im a diehard misten/lost waters/whateverthefuck fan OK. kris is a simp for pretty femmes & i cant exactly blame her...)

When your hood once again decides to break on itself and literally throws your town back in time, wiping half of it, INCLUDING a build you were really proud of. It was my back-up sadly so... Rip. Fixed the majority of their memories and turned it into a weird plot about government mind-wiping or something.

Loki and Circe were fixed as well btw, I don't know what my hood was doing with them cause once I reloaded the lot without saving they were okay.

K-MODS : UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

Now that we ( at last ) finished our global x11 update, time was coming to get a closer look, especially on the oldest files ...

There's a joke to be made with updating after EAxis mess. Maybe something like ... Si(m)siphus ... Really, once we start working on an update, it seems like *everything* needs an update and we'll never get to the bottom of it. Or ... worst ( or better ) we get an insight on something we couldn't figure out and now we just want to test a theory or two, just in case it'll crack the code ... aaand we'll be good to make an overhaul of something else. Anyway ! Here we are :)

BRINDLETON BAY We are half pleased with the results here but those files needed to be updated ... Indeed ! The Cats & Dogs town is back into the fold with updated texture. We even removed the red pavement for more consistency. We aren't quite happy with the final result of this town and we'll probably come back later for finishing touch here & there but it'll do for the moment.

Please enjoy the return of Brindleton Bay among the family of the k-mods files :D

STRANGERVILLE

We always have a soft spot for Strangerville, surely because it reminds us the Sims 2 Strangetown which was was so fun and irreverent !

You already have the k-505 nature we updated not long ago. Now, we remade the k-505 urban and put work into finishing touches, making sure we've covered everything that needed to be k-hippied :D

K-505 : BASEGAME NATURE FILES UPDATE Which should actually be : What-A-Surprise-We-At-Last-Found-Files Somehow, we tackled the San Myshuno Pit Of Darkness Problem. Yes, you read that right, with one single file, two little adjustment and a lot of hair pulling ( "What do you mean EA stretch that file like peanut butter on a toast ?" ) Okay, with less sardonic comment, the k-505 base game mod actually got a new update that's even better. You know those rocks with grass on them ? Yeah, we cleared that. It's now better looking. No more funky hairy rock. And of course, as you may know if you read the previous post, we finally found the files guilty of the black/question mark deep down in San Myshuno ! So, do not hesitate to update all your files ;)

K-101 : MAJOR UPDATE Technical lingo : we updated the specular files because it was bugging us to no end. Old wooden floor, cool. Old wooden floors that shined so much it looked new ? Not under our watch, no sir ! In addition, it solves a glossy problem for Mac users with an intel based computer. Damned ! we are so good ... :D All floors have seen their specular double-checked and done ... and by the way, all Jungle Adventures floors were added, all of them. Of course, if you notice something we may forgot, just tell us :)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - K-303 : SKIES & MOONS UPDATE As the title says : those are moon & night sky replacements. It is re-organized ( we redid the folders to do not mix moons and skies ) All you have to do is to place these files into you mods folder and tada ! a brighter and bigger moon for your Sims :)

Ophelia scrunched her lips together and gave him a light punch on the arm. “Now tell me what happened to the Smiths already. I’ve been at a complete loss. I tried everything to find them, but it’s like they dropped off the face of the damn planet. Johnny and Jill’s cell phones aren’t even in service anymore.”

Ripp sighed, preparing himself for the long explanation. Just thinking about it was quickly sobering him up. “Well, around two years ago, every alien in Strangetown was—”

“What are we talkin’ about over here, kiddies?” a particularly smelly man interrupted, wrapping his arms around both of them.

“Ugh, hey, Dante,” Ripp groaned. “We’re kind of having a private conversation here.”

MY WEDDING TRAUMA: A SURELY-SIMS x ICE-CREAMFORBREAKFAST COLLABORATION, CONVERTED TO THE SIMS 2 [download - 👰🏽🤵🏽]

are you tired of brides in white dresses and toddlers with perfect pink flower baskets? is cereal packet gameplay just not doing it for you anymore? maybe you'd like your weddings to put the 'strange' in strangetown? search no more, the ingredients for the strangest wedding in sim nation are finally here!

so, since i caught that one virus, i've been playing around a bit more with ts2 cc creation and finally had the time to work on converting a big set again. but then... what to convert? the answer came to me in the links section of a random lookbook... in a sort of fever dream. a set that captures the recent theme on my blog, families, and yet completely destroys it at the same time: my wedding trauma.

everything here is remarkably versatile. i mean, i know for a fact that people aren't just going to use that jumpsuit for a wedding, elvis needs more freedom than that! there are 9 cas items and 6 buy items for a total of 17 items in this set!

the original ts4 collaboration is complete perfection; it has just the sort of trashy, nonsensical vibes that the ts2 wedding department is sorely lacking. my conversion of this isn't perfect, i'm still learning how to do clothing and there are some minor issues mentioned below the cut, but overall i think that it came out pretty good and i hope it invokes some chaos in your game. 💥

sooo in our timeskip johnny and ophelia are divorced bc in the end they had different views on life, their kids are with ophelia but johnny still visits like a cool dad who takes you to mcdonalds and bowling and shit johnny used to be an actor who gained quite some fame for some of his roles but now he kinda fell into obscurity and is only offered some shitty commercial roles so he can't afford the lifestyle he is used to anymore. jenny is still coddling him and suggests that he moves back in if he's really struggling but that's just not cool for a grown ass man.. well he still has his cool sports car i guess tank is also divorced with almeric lmaooo yes i love this ship yes they're divorced 😁 well almeric has no one to blame but himself bc he's a pretentious asshole light yagami kinnie who's hungry for power even being the whole ass simnation president tank kinda had to take a lot of time to realise he's being taken advantage of more and more especially his military position they haven't been talking to each other for years and then they meet in strangetown's grocery store both being like "what the hell are you doing here" bc they moved to some more.. prestigious places and the next moment they're in johnny's apt catching up on each other's life and stuff idkkk why i made this post but if anyone is interested in more context.. also here's a sketch for the early version before i decided on something else entirely

Albany still tried to stay in touch with his children, at least the ones who actually wanted to talk to him. He was especially invested in Desdemona's life after graduation, knowing she moved in with her fiancé in Pleasantview.

Alice got used to taking care of herself and grew to enjoy playing alone. She didn't really make friends at school and she didn't expect Albany or Edith to join her.

Edith was too busy spending time with the cool alien boy she met at the party. She loved listening to him rambling about how green folk are a norm in Strangetown and started wondering if she should move there when she's old enough.
