i've found an amazing open source screen capture tool called ShareX. you can take beautiful screenshots and record videos for free! OBS hasn't been functioning properly for me, so this is a great alternative. there's no streaming functionality and i can't figure out how to record in-game audio just yet, but it's much kinder on my laptop than OBS

Did I really slap together a whole-ass fake fairytale for the sake of one post? Yes. Was it really necessary? No. Will it become relevant at a later point? Maybe.

THE PRINCE AND THE BEGGAR GIRL

Once upon a time, there was a prince who roamed the city's streets in disguise, without the mantle of royalty about his shoulders. The prince was dressed as a beggar, with tattered clothes that hid his true identity and a hooded cloak that concealed his royal ears.

One day, in a quiet corner of the magical marketplace, the prince met a beggar girl. She was pretty, with a heart as pure as starlight, yet as poor as a church mouse. In her eyes, however, gleamed a hidden purpose, a mysterious spark that captivated the prince's attention.

Curious, he struck up a conversation. They shared tales of their journeys, and as they grew closer, the beggar girl confessed her greatest wish - to find and reunite with her lost family.

Moved by her story, the prince pledged to help her in her quest. Together, they journeyed through enchanted forests, crossed shimmering rivers, and faced trials that tested their friendship. Along the way, the prince discovered her magic - she could mend wounds with a gentle touch, summon light with a whisper, and navigate hidden realms.

They met mythical creatures and sought guidance from wise sages who sensed the destiny weaving around them. With the prince's unwavering support, the beggar girl eventually uncovered the truth: she was the long-lost daughter of a powerful wizard lord. No longer a beggar, she was joyfully reunited with her family, who welcomed her with open arms.

In the midst of the celebration, the prince felt his heart swell. Gathering his courage, he revealed his true name, his royal heritage, and the disguise he had worn this whole time. The girl confessed that she had long suspected his secret - though it was his kindness, not his crown, that she cherished. She told him her heart had belonged to him from the moment he promised to help her.

Turning to the girl's father, the prince humbly asked for his blessing to stand beside her as partner and equal. Grateful for the prince’s role in bringing his daughter home, the wizard lord bestowed it gladly.

The prince then turned back to the girl and knelt before her - not as a royal claiming a bride, but as a friend, a companion, and a man in love - and asked if she would share her life with him. She said yes.

And so, beneath a sky alight with stars, the prince and the girl wed in a grand celebration, and lived happily ever after.

Sleeping with Koa is great. He knows her body better than she knows it herself. He's sweet, he's caring, and he's passionate.

He's also her ex.

They promised to never do this again... yet here they are. Doing it again. How stupid.

One thing led to another and, before she knew it, she was back in Koa's bed. As though she'd never left. She allowed herself to get swept away: letting the alcohol and his sweet nothings sway her rational mind. Maybe she just needs to be held to make everything feel better.

The worst thing about Koa is that he knew exactly what to say to make her swoon. The worst part of all of this is that they both knew each other so well; they knew the pain the other was going through; and they knew how to make it all better.

Being emotional is not a label that Qaletaqa enjoys for herself. Stoicism was always at the forefront of her mind, even at her own detriment. Yet, the recent passing of her father made things feel a lot more real. Thinking about the past hurt sometimes.

🌽 Cobwrangler Ranch 7 Selu Terrace

Home to the titular Cobwranglers, they stand at the forefront of Talon Peaks' corn supply. With great emphasis placed on corn in Cherokee tradition, they are an important and respected household. Well, when there were more of them. Nowadays, the townsfolk look at this household with a great deal of pity.

After the altercation at the motel, Koa invites the sheriff back to his place for a debrief. Mostly to check in on her, as she's been acting odd these past couple of months. Knowing someone also meant knowing what irritated them the most, and Koa seemed to be brilliant at riling the lady up.

The Bollen Queen 2.0

Finally found those wagon wheel fence posts by Maylin so I could finally complete the riverboat restaurant for Old Town. It's smaller, but with @freezerbunny-sims2's embankment tutorial it's just right. I much prefer flooded lots than beach lots for lots like this now!

Off-Grid

Requires my cheat object to function.

Requires easy lot check.

As long as that object is on the lot bills/paper/genie lamp delivery will not happen. The mail person will still appear on Tuesdays and Thursdays? Consider it a known issue; they come to the lot but do not deliver bills. Works well enough for me.

Qaletaqa and Tiger had an agreement that she be notified of any newcomers. The town's been through enough, and the sheriff will stop at nothing to protect her people. But first, reinforcements. Even if it is just one person, her paranoia tells her to gather Koatohee for support.

So with my new tax system, Qaletaqa's taxes have skyrocketed. Gone are the days of $1,000/sim for the upper class. TAX THE RICH!

Her lot value is $226,669 and she has zero deductions, so her taxes are $45,334. Yeah... ouch.

Upon reflection, I think that's a lot to be paying and that's not sustainable at all for a sim to make in just one round. So, I've changed how taxes work once more! Hopefully, it's more gameplay friendly. My rules have been updated, if anyone was keeping track of that.

And, no, she won't get a tax refund. She's a great sheriff who loves her people <3

Vehicles Need Gas

Hello Simmers! This mod adds the necessity of gasoline for your ownable vehicles that supports traits!

Features:

Ownable vehicles need gasoline in order to use

Functional Gas Pump (Found at community lots under misc > vehicles)

Functional Jerry Can (Found at community lots under misc > vehicles)

"Siphon Gas" feature for sims (Autonomous with the kleptomaniac trait)

Custom animation made by me

This mod is a semi-global override, meaning it should work with almost ALL vehicles (Even custom ones) :

Mesh and texture is all done by me EXCEPT the jerry can, i found it on some blender website lol

While Sasa tends to the estate, Qaletaqa tends to her town's infrastructure. Various destroyed amenities need to be in place once they unlock community lots (timewise, Ayizan has just moved in). So I'm hosting a poll!
