This is so interesting, actually. We don't really see Zack and Ivy regret their lack of home base. When the subject comes up in The Fashionista caper, they talk happily about "Carmen's Sandiego never ending tour". Don't get me wrong, they definitely are enthusiastic about the Carmen Brand Outerwear building, but they leave it without a look back at the end of The Boston tea party caper.

Shadowsan is the one actively pushing for an HQ, with Player suggesting the idea of the warehouse at the end of The Fashionista caper.

Was buying the building just a way for Carmen to indulge Ivy and Zack with something they liked, or did I miss something bigger?

on kabu, my writing, and writing kabu (long, reflective)

it started on zarla's excellent aokabu fansite. in summarizing them individually, she writes of kabu: He has a history with Peony from the Crown Tundra DLC, who alludes to them being edgey bad boy rascals in their youth together! :O What kind of person was young Kabu…

I said (in the server we're in), flabbergasted, that I didn't remember this bit of lore at all. turns out it's inferred from their exchange at the galarian star tournament in japanese — peony says "kabu-chan, let's show off the coolness of this slightly bad boy team!" which is translated as the "us edgy older blokes" line in english.

in english, peony is speaking of them in the present. they're older blokes with a little edge to 'em. while the implication in japanese seems to be that peony and kabu got up to some bad boy antics in the past. combine that with hints of kabu having a much different personality in his younger days (a hothead trying to blaze his way to the top), and you've got a hint of our sage man of fire having been a moody troublemaker when he first joined the galar league.

my first reaction was chagrin. in all this time, I never really stopped to consider kabu's past. I've loved seeing fanart of him with black hair and his scowly face (esp when it includes current-day smiling kabu for contrast), but I haven't... thought about it. it makes me feel like the lovelorn kabu I wrote for bramble is out of character. that maybe he never harbored those kinds of feelings for peony, maybe they were just league buddies who got into some shit and had a laugh. but then peony quit and left with his family, and kabu went back to chasing his goals.

my feelings about peokabu have changed drastically in the past year. for one, scarvi retconning peony to have two daughters instead of one beloved spoiled one threw a wrench in my headcanon (and I still don't buy it). secondly, I'm not going into the why of it. I'm done thinking about it, that's 2024's issue and has no place in the new year and beyond. I stalled on bramble sequel thousand-petal lotus first because of work and home stressors. suddenly I didn't want to touch it at all, I didn't want to think about peokabu anymore because of what they gave to me.

I didn't update my ao3 at all in 2024 (if you saw that I did, no you didn't. that's another retcon). I spent the entire year feeling guilty about it. in my defense, 2024 was full of not only extreme emotional distress, but huge life changes for my parents (escalating health problems combined with a lot of bullshit) and me (I bought a fucking house and moved into it!!!). I dealt with so much stress and nonstop emotional turmoil on top of working full-time, which comes with its own stressors. how am I still alive. no, seriously. there were a couple of scares.

tl;dr I forgive myself for not writing during that astoundingly life-changing year.

I started bramble because I became obsessed with missjamiekaye's sketches of kabu with a crush on peony. as I also possessed the extreme peony thirst, I wanted to channel that through kabu, along with exploring his feelings over his leader status and projecting my romantic frustrations through him and giving him a good end. I thought, after spending 8 chapters getting inside his mind, that I had bonded with him and knew everything about him. however, learning about peony's original intended line woke me up; I've only ever gotten inside the mind of present-day kabu. the past 50some years? I never gave them thought. so I don't know him at all.

this isn't the say that I still can't explore his past, and I intend to. but I feel like canon past bad boy kabu wouldn't act the way bramble!kabu does. he wouldn't mope about his losses, drink himself into a stupor, and pine over his old assumed-straight friend. just like canon peony probably never got divorced and reconsidered his bisexual youth on the streets, he's got two daughters who need him, he wouldn't suddenly enter a romantic & sexual relationship with his old mate. (or would they? that's the point of fanfic, after all. I'm overthinking this, bear with me)

one morning during The Affairs of Summer 2024 it dawned on me what I could do with kabu & peony in lotus, and that led to me brainstorming a third installment, whose shorthand is persimmon. in between the increasingly busy months (I kept putting off moving into my new house for one reason or another), I retooled my lotus outline. I even wrote chapter 3 during my week's vacation in july, but I was dissatisfied with it, and so didn't post (too much dialogue, nothing happens).

however, now that my life has calmed down and I'm in a much better place, both physically and emotionally, I think I can get back into writing. unfortunately, I've picked up some new bad habits during the course of last year, so it will take some time to break them and reintroduce healthier ones. wish me luck.

one more thing I want to note is that middle-aged opposites and the passionate fandom it spawned literally could not have come at a better time for me. at first I was like hehe that's cute, I'm glad kabu is in masters and he and larry can be good friends! and now I am totally brainrotten for them being in love and married. they saved my life. the timing with my lotus re-draft was perfect.

someone, on tumblr I think, called me the kabu expert for putting so much love and care into him. that's extremely flattering and I'll do my best to live up to the title. I think it's funny that, between 2003-05, I was head over heels for flannery, and now I love her cool uncle. the way this fire-type family has held my hand over the years 🥺

also in 2024 I joined yumejoshi twitter, where I have 4 dozen loves to ease my broken heart, not to mention it gives me an outlet to talk about my older ocs at last. kabu is like my my gen 8 girl from 2020's top husband so I can't be kinnies with him anymore, I guess. the way I separate bramble!kabu, aokabu, and yume!kabu is probably deranged, but I don't care. I found my home.

my terribly disloyal adhd brain wants to write more ncis fics now that I'm well into my rewatch. disregarding how behind I am on every wip that already exists. literally barely managing single chapters every few weeks and my brain wants to spit out soooo many ideas ugh. especially bc there's so much that I wish happened that we never see, even when we can imagine it's happening off-screen, and I'd love to write so much lol.

so on top of the ideas in progress, almost all for other shows, my brain wants me to write:

-ziva breaking down when she's close to having tali and trying to come home, only to be in the hospital because of the flight, and give tony's info to the hospital as her emergency contact. he gets the work call and immediately heads out because it's a family emergency. he, gibbs, and senior get to be there for baby tali's world debut, and the team family meets them at tony's place when they return to the country.

-qasim surviving the attempt on his life and living to be ellie's official fiance and future husband

-ellie and nick goat yoga - among other lowkey kinda-dates. esp if accompanied by a slowly increasing interest from the other team members (and including someone chewing nick out for acting like there's no reason for men and women to be platonic friends, esp when he's trying to say they're having very platonic time spent bonding together, oops, pick one)

-ellie and nick, too-long stakeout in a home. trying not to be too domestic, but ellie keeps thinking about and mentioning when she and jake moved in together and it's getting awkward.

-sloane/izzy sapphic surfer times, with a side of interagency noncooperation.

-reeves' aa experiences and pieces of that scotland trip with ellie

-reeves', abby's, and kasie's volunteering, ducky's book tour and following vacation.

-post-what-child-is-this ellie and nick oopsie baby. gibbs having a different idea of how to tread with an in-team relationship than he did for tony and ziva, let alone him and jenny. still being peak protective dad mode. (remarks to himself about how apparently none of his kids use proper protection, despite being good at protecting themselves otherwise.) everyone having fun with them learning to be parents, once the not-quite-shock subsides. team being advisors, esp as they figure out that things aren't really casual, they're just scared of feelings.

-earlier people with relationships to the team coming back.

like maddie (kelly's long-ago best friend) being in contact with gibbs as she continues about her life, graduates school, gets married, etc. mcgee's little brother from that program growing up. the mentees that torres had, like max whose dad was an agent who died in the navy yard bombing? jeanne and her husband being points of contact on more cases in africa.

sarah mcgee! finishing her degree and getting to work, eating her weird pizza. what is/was her relationship with the admiral or with penny like? what is delilah's sister like? where are leyla and amira?

Over a third of the way through The Whispering Skull heres my current thoughts

- If I were Lockwood and Lucy I would be a little bit mad about George missing the whole "area theyre searching was an execution ground for criminals" thing but also I feel like it's the first clear sign we get that something is off with George. Like hes burnt out. Hes tired. Hes just a teenager. They all are and theyre working adult jobs and literally dont have the capacity or past experience to communicate with one another. Very realistic for teenagers.

- I love Kipps so much I love how full of himself he is I love how pathetic he comes across even when he gets the upper hand I cannot wait to see him and his team get cut down to size.

- That being said I would have thrown down then and there had I been struck with a Mag Flare like that. better ways to go about ghosts, its dangerous as shit, badly damaged L&C's clothes and perfectly shows that the Fitts agency arent really trained in a people-first way. The way they put pressure on their teams to secure a source above all and encourage hostility towards other agents.... Super telling about management and an early warning sign to me. Esp with what we know happens to Ned Shaw (which i'll have a lot to say about later when it happens) and Kat, Bobby and Kipps v trauma.

- I liked Joplin a lot when I read the books as a kid + my reread 2 years back but now... idk. Too reckless, esp with how he treats ghosts when in the company of teenagers and children. Hate how comfortable all the adults in this world are about putting children at risk. They really treat them as a resource or rather than anything else.

- The skull is such a fucking shit stirrer which again makes so much damn sense when you learn hes a teenager whose been stuck with no one to talk to in a jar for like a hundred+ years. Of course you're trying to push apart Lockwood and Lucy. You are a fucked up ex-cultist teenage boy who finally found someone to talk to and are perpetually stuck in your teenage brain and hormones. You are So Jealous.

- Lucy, George and Lockwoods argument about the Georges recklessness and then The Skull seeding distrust again drives home my point about communication but also Christ these kids need more friends. Their entire childhood and teen years are stripped from them. They have no family to talk to or guide them. No non-work friends their age to vent to. Immense trauma and no one to help them through it.

- Jonathan Stroud give me a follow up series following the team in their mid twenties coping with having their lives dedicated to a job they literally cannot do anymore and the repercussions of no education and no safety nets for agents once they reach adulthood. What do they do? Where do they work? Where do they go? How do they afford to live? What happens to agents who only built relationships with coworkers they cant even face because of trauma? Agents disconnected with their families? Nightwatch kids whose education was ruined because their days were spent recovering from their shifts? I need to know.

- Okay back to the book the ghost cult stuff hits so much harder in a post-covid world. I was there getting harassed by anti vaxxers when they invaded parliament for a month and it ended in violence. of course in times of fear people become vulnerable to misinformation. You Are Not Immune To Cults. Or Propaganda. Again, spin-off following the people who try to fight those who profit off of peoples fear and build wealth and followings off of it. Theres so much interesting stuff in this world I want to explore.

- Kipps and Lockwoods teams having to work together bcos of Barnes is so good. I love Kipps team so much I love seeing them

- Kat Godwin is autistic and I know this. Because I am Autistic. Also she comes off as someone who has shut down to everything around her because, again. trauma of her work. at 16 theres no way she hasnt been through something similar to Lucy or Lockwood. I'm sad we see less of her after book three. same with Bobby.

- Now I want to write a hyper empathetic autistic lucy/low empathy autistic kat fic where they both realize they have a lot in common with their Talents and work and bond it doesnt even have to be romantic i just want to see more of Kat

- A LSO i need lucy to have more female friends for the love of god i understand this is your pick me phase of your teens but it makes me so sad to see your internalized misogyny even though it ABSOLUTELY makes sense for her character and is so common for teen girls like her but the way she talks about sensitives and every other female operative she meets. girl. who are you trying to impress rn. you dont need to.

the sagau that i know of tends to start off with Kaeya a lot but i fully believe my girl Amber should be the first teyvatan aware for the amount of times her baron bunny saved my ass

when you, her nova, gained control over her, she gained access to some perks such as:

conditional immortality — when left alone by the nova/not in the current party, she can now just. not die. permanently that is. unless the nexus decides that she will be out of the narrative, she just cannot die and will constantly respawn. if the nova is logged in and she didn’t heal herself, her hp will be in the red zone lmao

disabled friendly fire — a sunshine attacks another person whether they are a fellow sunshine or not, the attacks will just go through them without harm. enemy mobs, specific plant life and the likes are the only ones capable of getting damaged

access to the inventory – anything the nova has attained, they can take and use. good luck with your hoarding because your food are definitely gonna decrease by a LOT once you log back in

private chatroom — just so they don't go insane, sunshines can gossip and pass news to one another on how things are going on their end. they speak of how far the nova (not traveler) is with their journey, and maybe just be a support group since i subjected them through a lot of bs

time loop — ...yeah. so long as you (the player) haven't progress in the given storyline in-game, you essentially trap them in an localized time loop. characters will end up "blinking" back to where they are initially if [1] the nova logged in, or [2] traveler, piloted guided by the nova, is in the area and the playable character is included in the quest the nova stumbled upon

spectators to the music — whatever bgm you have whether you have the in-game music on or are using a custom playlist, the ones in your current party (along with the parties beside the current one if you're toggling and choosing between the groups) will hear it. jean and tighnari are definitely disappointed in me for playing unholy while yaoyao is in my active team that one time w h o o p s

gained written and verbal language — whatever language you have downloaded in the game is now something the sunshines are proficient with.

for example: i have both english and korean voice packs downloaded so therefore they can speak both now. i only have english for my text. if i end up doing the typical isekai bs in the sagau community with my kr voice pack activated, the only way i can communicate with them is through writing back and forth in english lmao. if they manage to communicate with me in the self-aware Monika way then once they start speaking i am screwed since i don't speak korean :') – i don't see them speaking in textbox since [1] my speed reading sucks ass and [2] do you want your screen to be filled with text? do you?

depending on who you obtain next, they're the ones next in line with the madness. good thing they have the sunshine trio to help them out with this now. hallelujah Amber 🙏

YESSSS I love this question!! Here’s some off the top of my head:

1x17 (Barry tries to bench Morgan because of [redacted for spoilers], but Morgan ofc doesn’t listen because Iris and Henry are both in danger and Barry can’t focus on both of them. Results in some tension between them too, esp on Barry’s end (and tbh I get why))

1x19 (I’ve discussed why here :D ✨Bates-induced angst/whump✨)

1x23 (the Morgan vs Eowells confrontation in the finale…oooh it’s gonna be SO GOOD)

2x13-2x14 (I’ve been more and more tempted lately to have Morgan tag along to rescue Jesse, and!! I’m so excited!! Especially because she and E2 Barry would hit it off, and that’s so fun to think about)

Not a specific episode count, but…Morgan & Jesse’s roommates arc. I know it’s post-2x16, but beyond that, the details are currently fuzzy 😅

2x16 (the Trajectory episode!! Still nailing down some details, but I’m excited 💞 Eliza survives this episode ofc, and she even gets to chew Tina out a little. And Morgan shows her first big sister compassion 🥺 also also, a little backstory modification for Eliza regarding how she got her powers, sticking closer to the comics, and no split personality (and I’ve mentioned before that like the comics, she’s a WOC in my AU!))

2x17 (Barry travels back to 1x11!! So excited to write him interacting with s1 Team Flash…and especially s1 Morgan. Oh the dramatic irony. Oh the fury he’d feel, and the helplessness—the red flags are neon signs to him now, and it’s pissing him off that he can’t act on his impulse to protect her from Eowells. But Barry also knows that as unhinged as Eowells is…he’ll do anything to save/protect Morgan (for selfish reasons ofc, but still). And Morgan happens to be in danger back home…)

s4, Crisis X, I forget the episode number (so…listen, I still have to figure out what fixes I’m making to this disaster of a Crisis (Stein won’t be dying, but that’s all I’m sure of rn). What I do know, though, is that Barry and Morgan, and Wally and Iris, will have a brother-sister dance at the Westallen wedding (Wallinda will probably dance at least once there too), and it’ll be great 🥰 and possibly a Morgan and Jesse power swap that happens an episode prior and lasts throughout this crossover, though I still have to iron out those details 😅)

5x18 (this is the s5 backstory episode and…really this is just my way of saying I have a storyline planned out for this future version of Morgan that I’m very excited to share 👀 tho it’ll be revealed in a different way than the show. Events of s5 will be shuffled around a bit)

s6 Crisis (will involve Thawne ofc, and parts of the og 2024 Crisis. It’ll be a fusion of sorts. May also involve the return of someone unexpected…👀 and it’ll also be…quite the emotional rollercoaster for poor Morgan. Also, this is roughly where the AU’s finale is gonna be, so ofc I’m excited for this!)

My theory for part 3

I have a theory for FF7R part 3

There were people who were disappointed we never got to see Rocket Town. TBH, I was a little. Though how the game goes, we had no reason to end up there. Even in the OG game, ending up there was a mistaken by both sides, as Sephiroth was going a different direction. Having Cid give our characters air travel was something I enjoyed just as much. Yes, he was not as angry as we seen him in the game, but the man was in his element.

Hey you mentioned a theory? Yes, I did. There is a chance Rocket Town will be where our main characters start off in. Much like Kalm, we will get Cid's current home as means to get used to the game's mechanics. ( Reminder Rocket Town was only made because of the Rocket being there. ) If so, we will also get some of his background cause, lets be real, Cid's time as the Rocket's Pilot is only a part of his history. We will do side missions for the town, as Cid doesn't know when he'll be back. So either Cid or Shera will encourage the player to help the locals do a few things before leaving. Good chance the Tiny Bronco will be turned into a boat again... And the team will make their way up north. Reason I think this theory has a chance?

Before Part 1, Red XIII was not shown till near the game release. Then we got him as an NPC.

At the start of Part 2, he becomes a PC. Kalm is used to remind us of old mechanics and teach new mechanics.

Part 2, Cid and Vincent are shown close to the game's release. Then we got them as NPCs.

So naturally, its very likely Rocket Town will be used as at the start of part 3. Besides, they know fans really want to see it. I want to see how close the home is to the OG. Esp Cid's study with the models, designs, guns, and working car.

Bonus Side Theory: Cid sleeps in the vehicle as it runs, so he can simulate the vibrations of being on an airship. The exhaust is funneled outside the house, so the set up is perfectly safe.

Only time will tell if my theory is sound or a fangirl's wistful thinking.

what would your kit design for leafs look like? real redesign or fictional, i dont mind either 👀

the LEAFS okay.

generally i find the current leafs design (esp with its spiky logo) as a pretty good design. very classic. the biggest thing i would add is a shoulder yoke like last year's reverse retro.

the away uni is basically the same as the original but with a yoke; the home uni has a yoke as well as a bit of a change to the second stripe. generally i don't want to mess with a two-colour design too much, especially on a team a hundred years old -- simple, bold, recognizable.

the main problem i have with the leafs' current kit is the BIEBER JERSEY, which is not only (imho) ugly but (not an opinion just a fact) impractical as an actual jersey. the blue and black don't offer much contrast, and the white number outlines aren't bold enough to make them distinguishable. if your jersey numbers need irl eyes or 1080p to make sense they don't work!!!

flashback + Mt. Silver

Flashbacks. | accepting.

The frigid air bites and nips at his skin as snow gently rocks downward. Red inhales, expelling a deep cloud of fog as he walks along a particularly treacherous mountain cliff. Boots are thick with wetness, icy cold beneath him beginning to seep into his socks. He’d take it like the champion he was though, continuing his trek between the heavy banks of snow surrounding him. Amongst all its chaos, Red found peace atop Mt. Silver, even with his lack of preparedness.

If anything, the boots were a delivery alongside his rival’s latest brief visit, a gift from his mother. A winter coat sits back at home in his cavern, Pika and Espe probably nestled inside to keep themselves cozy alongside the well-lit fire pit.

It was just Red outside in his lonesome, not bothering to rope any of his team outward into this freezing weather. It was chillier than usual that day anyway, even with the soft snowfall. Bucket in hand, the brunette presses it into the fresh snow beneath him, tugging it inward with a heavy grunt. As new as it was, it was still heavy, ice molding with the pillowy substance.

Despite his youth, having just been a teenager, Red’s arms had thickened up since first arriving upon Mt. Silver’s wretched yet gorgeous arches and cliffs. It was a dreary expanse, yet pretty all the same. Untouched by wildlife as well as people, any creature with half a brain knowing fully of her dangers. She was not a force to be reckoned with, this mountain, and yet Red had decided to throw himself full throttle at her, an unstoppable force against an immovable object. He’d seemingly conquered her too, unwilling to give in to the demands of the harsh weather and intense temperatures that, even at times, would threaten to dive below freezing.

It was a challenge to him, maybe. Then again, it’s more likely Red preferred the isolation.

Another grumble, teeth grind as a young Red scoops up the snow, lugging the pail of snow toward his makeshift humble abode. An imprint of his foot is left with each step, a crunching noise present each and every time he’d move.

Red’s arms were dry, ashy; skin clearly not meant to sustain such horrendous climates. Knuckles seemed to crack at their peaks, a scab or two healing over from skin having broken previously. He was good at taking care of the bare necessities, but anything further and the trainer would fail. He’s unbeatable, but at what cost?

Despite everything though, he’d managed to make do. His current objective was to bring back the snow in-hand, let it melt, and boil it to remove any dangers. Drinking water was a priority to keep himself up; he’s just hoping that the berries he set to grill weren’t burnt upon his return.

He scowls in disapproval as snow enters his boot, immediately melting against his ankle. It makes him grumble, using one hand to fix his hat in an attempt to calm himself. Red liked Mt. Silver, but that didn’t mean he liked being inconvenienced.

With a tiny bit more effort, Red is able to recover quickly, hustling back inside of his temporary home. His nostrils are immediately wafted with the smell of slightly-charred fruit melded with a sour-tart tint. Despite the climate and abhorrent weather, aspear and yache berries were native to the mountain's very miniscule flora. Aside from the varying treats Green would occasionally bring for Red’s enjoyment, his primary diet consisted of those fruits, nothing more. He’d often make a grocery list for his pokemon, but seemingly couldn’t stomach the thought of making one for himself. Red was particularly simple, but that didn’t mean his pokemon were--and even if his thoughts on this entire situation weren’t perfect, he was still considerate enough to think of his team.

They were his family, after all. The thought of neglecting them made his stomach turn.

So Red sets the bucket of snow down beside the fire, tugging up a thick branch of pine from the pile he’d scouted for earlier that day. He carefully attempts to add it to the flame for fuel, tongue sticking out at the corner of his lip in focus.

Red shoots upward as a soft, high-pitched groan reverberates from across the flame, Pika rolling over in her spot atop Sleepy, Red’s snorlax. She’d abandoned the winter coat long ago, opting to lay atop the giant bear’s cozy tummy. His concerned expression contorts into an easy one, doting smile etched into his lips as his inner brow curves upward. The champion opens his mouth to say something before shutting lips again, deciding it’d be best not to accidentally disturb her slumber; or anybody’s for that matter, it seemed. Char laid cozy in a ball alongside Blasty, charizard and blastoise curled into one another comfortably. Venus, Red’s venusaur, laid flat on her tummy, snoring at an almost absurd volume…but she was old, the frog could get away with it. Espe sat in the corner of the cave, tail twitching as he kept watch of everybody else like the greatest hall monitor you’d ever seen, or rather an overprotective mother.

It wouldn’t be until Red sits back down and shucks off his giant, clunky boots that he sits cross-legged by the fire pit, the espeon taking this as his invitation to make his presence known.

In silence, the brunette extends a hand for the eeveelution to sniff and observe, studiously running the side of his maw to study his trainer further. Eventually, he trots into Red’s lap with lithe steps, twirling once or twice before resting in a ball between his trainer’s lap. It’s a quiet interaction, Red knew he was saying hi, and in return he’d do the same. One hand softly pets the creature, and he keeps that caring smile, appreciative of the purple cat’s company.

The berries could wait, burnt or not. He had family to attend to.

I’m not going to lie, the past few days have been emotional, and I still don’t have the words to explain all of this. Now that we are in the middle of car launch season and the rumours are slowly dying, I don’t even know how I’m going to explain this. But here we are, and despite me being late to reactions when it comes to announcements, I can finally explain my reaction to this announcement: Lewis Hamilton is going to Ferrari starting from the 2025 season.

I was pretty shocked at the announcement at first, but after doing some research, I found out the reasons behind this, and I immediately knew that it was time. To see that the Mercedes Benz board decided to not let him become ambassador after the contract extension has really angered me to the core, and I don’t even know if I can trust them, nor the team principal any longer. And the fact that John Elkann decided to give Lewis a lifetime contract with benefits of helping out his causes, shows that there is a good chance of going to a new and top team, and that announcement came at the perfect time, but also at the worse time when we are kicking off the 2024 F1 season.

I’m not going to indicate any more reasons of why there are many mistakes from the past two seasons, and I wish I could no longer support the Mercedes Benz board nor the Mercedes F1 team, but just because I’m mad at the team, doesn’t mean that I’ll stop supporting them. At the same time though, because I’m currently in my final year of studies, 2024 is marking the end of an era for myself and Lewis. Therefore, after many days of thinking and numerous support for the team, I have decided that this year will be my final year of supporting the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team before the move to Ferrari next year.

I feel so incredibly grateful to have supported Lewis since 2020, and I will be supporting him for some time till the end of his F1 career, but this time I will be continuing the support for Formula 1’s top and most popular team of all time: Scuderia Ferrari.

I’m very proud of Mercedes for all the hard work they have put into bringing home 8 constructors championships and 8 drivers championships, but most importantly for putting the brand back on the map. They have returned to the sport after a 55-year hiatus and have become one of the most popular F1 teams to date. I want to thank Toto for all the hard work and leadership despite some hard times, the people at the factories in Brackley and Brixworth for creating the best cars in the business, and to the late Niki Lauda who supported them in good and bad times, and we still truly miss him.

I also want to say a huge thank you to the drivers who have been alongside Lewis: Nico, Valtteri and George for supporting Lewis over the past 12 years. I also want to thank the fans, my family and all the followers who have been with me for the past four years.

But as Lewis stated: “The time is right to make a change and take on a new challenge.” I know how much it felt to go a new F1 team, and I saw Lewis go through that phase in 2013. Way back, Mercedes was a backmarker team before Lewis arrived, but after ten years we have seen the best transformation in F1 history. Of course it the same feeling with Ferrari, but they are in the mid-table. I’m excited to see what Lewis brings to the team and what they can do together. So please give them the time to bring Ferrari to winning ways, especially with the new regulations coming in 2026.

During my time when I supported Mercedes, I actually had a dream of owning a G-Wagon, but seeing the costs of the car and realising that I cannot continue my dream further of getting the dream car beyond 2025, I had a good test run of what it felt to be inside a G-Wagon, and all of that would’ve not happened in the first place if it wasn’t for the greatest F1 driver of all time. So, I’ve managed to save the best for last. I want to say a BIG thank you to Sir Lewis Hamilton.

Thank you Lewis for helping us in difficult times, especially in a difficult time in my life when I couldn’t even make it that far in my studies. Thank you for being a passionate driver, not just with thirst traps we see on our IG stories, but with amazing energy that makes me smile. And thank you for giving us an opportunity to rise back on top like you did for the past twelve years. I am so so proud of you for all the effort you have done to become the greatest of all time, and I can’t wait for the next chapter in 2025.

But right now, we’re heading back to work, and we have a lot to prove that we can go back to winning ways, so let’s finish the adventure with Mercedes on a high. May God bless us and protect us during this season, and may we enjoy this journey to the fullest.

Hi everyone! I figured that with all the new people hanging out, I should probably formally introduce myself! :) My name is Clove, and I'm a professional pokemon trainer, though at the moment I'm on a bit of a hiatus while I go to college!! I study biology with a focus in pokemon and plant ecology, and it's been a super fun experience to learn about how pokemon interact with the world around us (and vice versa)!

I currently have 3 pokemon that I (for the most part) keep with me:

Pie (Appletun) - Pie is an ESP I have a school to help with my anxiety! She has the relaxed nature and is super down to sit on top of me when I need a weighted blanket

Mustard (Luxray) - Mustard is my partner pokemon! I met her when I was a kid (long story short: I got lost in the forest and she helped me get home). For the most part she stays at home with my parents, but I take her out on weekends to run around campus lol

Jelly (Venipede) - Jelly is the newest addition to my team! He's just a little baby 🥺 but technically I'm not supposed to have him while at school so don't tell anyone lmao

My blog is mostly about what me and my pokemon are getting up to (you may have seen the joltik revolution of 2023 (which is being handled!!!! hopefully)) and there's also a lot of reblogs from other pokebloggers for funsies :)

had a minor tiff w/ ben over asking him to wear a mask @ work for a few days which ended up fine but the thrust of it was: me: i dont understand why it's so hard for you to give your boss a heads-up that you're gonna mask for a few days bc you're geting married in <2 weeks and want ti minimise any disasters + we're currently in a covid surge ben: no one at work wears one and i dont want to be the only one. office politics + environmental pressure etc me: *silent bc i cant think of a nice reply to that one* ben: ill ask if i can work from home this week :| he also was like "i didnt realise me saying no would upset you?" and i was a bit like ...do you think i would ask you to mask up for the fun of it all?!?! anyway w/e w/e i do understand how shit it is to be the only person wearing a mask, it's really embarrassing + esp in a workplace environment where you need to be v concerned w/ how people are viewing you innit. like the social cost is real + i know his office is v quiet as well but like. we're literally getting married in <2 weeks and covid can take like 10 days to clear (or more - last time it took ben 10d) so just take thi one for the FUCKING TEAM, BEN anyway w/e im happy he said he'd work from home (it should be fine - his work seems v reasonable) bc that seems like a good option btwn social cost @ his job + just raw dogging the oxygen also i do understand the social pressure when no one else is wearing a mask which is why i get in there first and either lie or exaggerate massively to anyone i come across. or just tell the truth, depending on what's best. like the other day when i took my wedding dress in for alterations i said to the tailor like "hiiii - sorry about the mask, im just super paranoid about something going wrong <3 :)" in my least threatening tone + he was like Of course honey :-) and that was that. i have also used the excuse that my mum has cancer (which was half-true lmfao) and that i live with a "highly vulnerable person" (absolute lie) like if you're in a situation where you're never gonna see these people again just like make something up or explain first or whatever the fuck lol

we basically spent all evening/night (it's 4am and i just left our bedroom lol) hanging out in our bed (with the above argument only taking up about 10m earlier on) trading pokemon on pokemon go / battling on pokemon go / watching tiktok / having sex

oh god i nearly forgot - HE BROUGHT HIS WEDDING SUIT HOME + he looks so fucking good, like an old worldy gentleman, 3 piece suit with this incredible lining fabric + like little bits of pink sprinkled throughout
