Any which way but Zeus is a GREAT episode, but why the fuck did they do that to Hank.

I understand this episode shows that Doc is actually aware of his sons but the way Hank has never got resolution for himself as a son and brother haunts me. So much time was dedicated to Dean finding his shit out and you can say the movie was for Hank finding himself but I’ll be honest I still didn’t find that satisfying either.

It just sticks so sore to me, especially since that scene was very similar to my own experience with my parent (mom) that I kind of sat there floored and feeling unwell that a character in fiction experiences the same thing I did. You aren’t cursed because of your family line, or meant to fail, it’s that nobody really cares anyways about you. You’re fine, not someone I need to be worrying about. You’re just like me. You can’t do anything about it.

The let’s cuddle addition is just cruelty, for a show not affectionate at all to punctuate that in the end of that scene felt like wow, alright, fuck me then.

I think about that scene way WAY more than anything else in vbros because it’s way too specific, hit close to home, but also adds my sadness for Hank entire development with relationships in general.

Hot take but as someone whose made bad life decisions by playing video games:

Genshin isn't bad. It's a solid gacha game all things considered. It's got good lore and some really nice designs.

It's just the Internet punching bag now because League has been shooting itself in the foot for the past two/three years. Since League has been dying rapidly since all the players have left it because it's become so hostile to any player not esports, the burden of "Hurr Durr Bad Game" has fallen to the next highly popular one--Genshin.

I play(ed) League too until again, they just ruined it for casuals. League also has a fantastic lore to it. Don't you holier than thou little shits go and say you loved Arcane and then call League lore garbage. It didn't come from nowhere.

Idk I'm just seeing a trend with how League was treated back in the day vs how Genshin is treated now and outside the playerbase, neither game is necessarily bad and its not a waste of time playing them.

if she lived through the battle, i genuinely think she would have gone with one of the groups of wildlings that leaves castle black, especially bc imo sam (and bran/brynden) were always going to rig the election for jon so he’s going to get way entrenched into the night’s watch. and i think even though she understands why he left, there’s going to be a lot of pain there that he didn’t stay for her, and potentially some guilt over not being able to ~free~ him from his vows. i think ygritte would ask to be sent somewhere else very quickly and jon would not fight it.

however!!! i think her being alive honestly means the men start to rebel against him sooner, and i do think the fact that the other is alive will weigh heavily on their minds and affect their actions - again, not dissimilar to tyrion finding out the truth about tysha and then that “wherever whores go” refrain echoing in his head and affecting where it is he’d like to go and do. but as a fighter, as a soldier, i think ygritte’s life is going to be constantly in danger, and ygritte is both skilled enough and unimportant enoigh that she’s likely to be in the thick of it, always. so their paths were always meant to diverge - but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t obsess over what the other is doing, for good or for ill.
