Awe I love this trend! As a prolific reader these wonderful writers need all the love for the time spent crafting these works for the rest of our enjoyment.

I've seen a few of these posts by now so I'm likely going to be doubling up as I tend to have a bit of a narrower reading scope in the ACOTAR fandom. But, nonetheless, I have my verrry expansive Ao3 bookmark page open and ready...

Nearly all of these fics fall into Elucien category and/or ft. Eris... so if that's your bag you've come to the right place. For the sake of brevity I'm going to rec only a couple fics from each author but I've read through almost all of the fics they have authored and guarantee them all as absolute bangers.

Starting off strong with @missfckingfortune

The way that this author writes Elucien has me on my hands and knees. How they can go from writing sweet and fluffy to hot and heavy scenes deserves a lengthy round of applause. Also, this is going to be a trend with all of the authors listed here, but THE ERIS CONTENT in both of these fics is absolutely chef's kiss. I squeak every time he turns up in the narrative with some assholey, yet endearing comment. Anyway, updates to these fics is an immediate drop everything and read... seriously, I read a chapter update in the Costco line up.

Oh oh, god do these fics hurt so good. Prince of Ashes was one of the first Eris-centric works I read when I started getting into the ACOTAR fandom. It was recently completed and I was left EMOTIONALLY DISTRAUGHT BECAUSE HOW DARE YOU FOLLOW CANON EVENTS. I'm still recovering from Chapter 11 & 12. Such a wonderful fleshing out of Eris' character and! He! Has! Friends! that I am extremely attached to (Micah you deserve the WORLD for sticking by Eris!). Eris in these is REALLY trying his best to be a good brother, but god he is going through it at all times. I am also going to rec Light the Fire Bright which is a collection of One-shots - Eris-Centric and ft. Lucien and a couple other characters.

3. I originally stumbled upon @olenvasynyt through booktok and their wonderful critical discussions/analyses of the source text. I was so jazzed when A Court of Embers and Sunlight began uploading on Ao3 because the sneak peaks on tiktok were driving me mental with the anticipation. This author's writing is so wonderfully descriptive and has such lovely lyrical language, not to mention the world-building is INTENSE. We are just getting going on this fic, but I can tell its going to be a heck of a ride, and I'm thinking its gonna get hella dark hahah... 4. I don't think a rec list can be complete without @separatist-apologist, who was the first author that really sold me on Elucien (I think I pretty sure it was Henrietta the chicken that did me in). We are what is known as a vestige system, a term we coined ourselves (on blurry-coining). To summarise - our structure is linked with the presence of a vestige, a headmate that previously was a sentient core/original but has become more like a shell/blanketself, and is non or semi sentient.

Our vestige is called Abyss. It is permanently frontstuck, and is just sentient enough to act as a prism or eraser of sorts, hiding the presence of the system from ourselves. It does this by taking any memories of the headspace from another headmate switching it, leaving them unaware if it even exists, and transferring any memories made by the previous fronter to the current fronter. This is why we experience both "blackouts" (periods where only Abyss is fronting and the body is dissociating) and low amnesia barriers + a consistent sense of "I" (Abyss messes with memories despite not being able to form its own)

After working as a singer on the continent, Eris found a job on a cruise ship by chance and didn't think twice. That way he could continue his journey around the world working in a more comfortable place. But they didn't imagine that their only job would be as an entertainer, a singer at night. There was a vacancy to fill at the main bar on the cruise ship and that meant more money to earn. So in the end he signed up for both. At night his main job is singing, so you'll see him on stage bringing atmosphere to the place. And during the day you can see them at the bar, being a bartender who serves excellent drinks. Of course, sometimes even at night when there are too many customers you can see him doing both.

I was so excited to join this AU by @beniibene 💕. I love the idea so much! The sea, the cruise... Everything is so sweet and puts me in an inspired mood X3.

It was fun planning Eris little work here and their outfit. And here I tried a new coloring. I'm experimenting with it lately to get better!

The sliding glass door rolled shut behind her, as Nesta stepped down to the patio. Elain had clearly attempted to decorate it, with vases of her favorite flowers placed at even intervals along the table, fairy lights strung up on the lattice roof overhead. But Nesta suspected Feyre and Cassian had dug their hands into the boxes of decorations, as well, because the lights along the railings were unevenly spaced, and the paper lanterns remained in a squashed heap in the corner.

And Azriel sat, his own crumpled heap, in one of the patio chairs with a bottle of cider in his hand.

"Hey," he said, turning to look as Nesta pulled out a chair beside him.

"Hi," Nesta returned.

She liked Azriel. It was simple, around him. Quiet.

And for a while, they said nothing else. Azriel continued drinking, and Nesta closed her eyes. Allowing the sunshine to fall over her cheeks. From beneath the table, she hooked her toe behind the leg of the chair across from her and tugged it closer so that she could kick off her shoes and prop her feet up.

"When do you leave?" Azriel asked.

Nesta opened her eyes, rolling her head over to look at him. For a second, she wondered if he was asking when she would leave the house and head back home. She was relatively confident in the fact that Azriel would be the last one to judge her for leaving early.

But after a second of staring at him, Nesta realized he meant the trip.

Nesta groaned, rolling her eyes as she turned to look back up at the fairy lights overhead.

"I might not be going, actually," Nesta muttered. She sank down lower into her chair.

Azriel sat up slightly, holding the bottle of his drink loosely over the arm of his chair.

"Did something happen?" He asked.

And then something sparked inside of her. An idea.

Nesta carefully pulled her feet down from the other chair, and sat up to face Azriel fully. She leaned forward, ensuring that the front of her dress was perfectly in his view, and gave him a distant, regretful smile.

"No one to go with me," she said. "I can't exactly go on a business trip all alone, can I?"

Azriel raised an eyebrow. She knew he would be able to see right through her. She wasn't exactly making it difficult for him, either.

But at the end of the day, Nesta had a tragically short list of options. She was supposed to be on a plane and flying to Italy in less than a week, and her partner had withdrawn at the last minute. It was no secret–to anyone–what Nesta's job was.

"Can't you?" Azriel asked, his eyes narrowing as he took a swig of his drink. Nesta watched his throat bob, and leaned forward to stroke a finger down his arm. 

She smiled. "Maybe. But it would be such a waste of a gorgeous location, if I was all by myself. Right?"

What she didn't say was that it would also be a waste of money. The trip was expensive, and while the profits from the content she filmed were supposed to more than make up for it, solo content just didn't rake in the same amount of viewers and subscribers as her content with Eris did. And she would be damned if she went back to Eris and asked for a refund.

"Gorgeous view," Azriel shrugged, "gorgeous girl. I'm not seeing the problem."

Nesta sighed, eyes drifting down from Azriel's face to where her finger was still tracing shapes over his arm. He was pretty. And that voice? She wondered if filming with him wouldn't gain her even more subscribers than filming with Eris ever had. If that dark aura, omnipresent around him, wouldn't draw people in through a screen just as well as it did in real life.

Nesta flicked her eyes up towards him.

"You wouldn't be interested in a vacation," she asked. "Would you, Azriel?"

Azriel drained his drink, leaning forward to set the empty bottle on the table, though he didn't move his arm. Allowing her to continue caressing him. Drawing her finger down the length of his arm, and then across the knuckles on the back of his hand.

"To Italy?" Azriel asked. He leaned back in his chair, and closed his eyes. "Who picked that?"

Nesta frowned a bit. Not exactly the response she was hoping for.

"Eris," she said.

Azriel's eyes split open. He looked at her, a muscle working in his jaw, but otherwise his face was perfectly impassive.

"And now he can't go?" He asked.

Nesta's brows drew together. Fuck.

"No."

Azriel hummed, looking back up towards the sky. "So you two aren't working together anymore?"

"Do you want to go with me or not, Az?" Nesta snapped. She snatched her hand away from his arm and sat up.

"It's a tempting offer, Nesta," Azriel said. He shrugged. "But I'm a bit camera shy."

The scream was already built up in her throat, this tight knot that burned and it was entirely misplaced–because really, it wasn’t Azriel's fault that he had his heart set on the most emotionally unavailable man in the city aside from himself–but she felt it boiling over. She could have broken something.

But the door gently slid open, and Cassian strode into view.
