Autumn clean up- out of many, one and then they become individual once again. Many of the drawings I create are not successful for a variety of reasons. Experiment constantly. Just like Edison, I am finding all the ways which don’t work, hahaha! I am happy to report, though, because that every day I create more and more pieces which I deem successful. So what to do with all the grade B pieces? Give them new life. Erase and rewind but conserve their story because each one of them marks a moment in my life, an experience and I don’t want to lose that. I want to build on that to create something less obvious, more beautiful, less controlled, more fearless; more natural. Que le temps est mort. J’ai parlé des théories du physicien Bill Greene à Anna : elle ne voulait pas me croire moi, mais elle l’a cru, lui. J’aurais dû lui rappeler que c’est peut-être l’explication de son impression de lenteur... So it's #valentinesday today. Also known as #singlesawarenessday or #unattacheddrifterchristmas. I'm not one for this holiday but...I'm here for YOU. I remember the last Valentine's day I celebrated. I was in college and I started a matchmaking business with my friend Gen two weeks before the day. So that everyone who wanted one had a date on the day. We cleaned up! So on the material day, my friend Jared (who Gen was in love with) who had helped us connect to the males around campus was like, "You guys are flush with cash so YOU take US out." Us was him and his friend Chad. So we did take them out, paid for everything...it was the best, most uncomplicated (for me) Valentine's day of my life. Of course afterwards we got complaints from guys whose dates didn't go exactly the way they planned. But hey our job was to connect you to each other. After that, it was all on you. Anyway my point is, don't be so thirsty for Valentine's that you allow people like me, hallmark and Dean Winchester to profit from your insecurities. *names were changed to protect identities. Besides if your love life isn't the fairy tale you desire you can always curl up in bed with a fictional one. I recommend Jamie and Claire - they didn't go on so much as ONE romantic date yet their love story is one for the ages. You could also get something much shorter like #eraseandrewind to escape with, Explore life after death with Phil and Lillian or risk death with your love like Mya and Leo.
