In 2023: My Chemical Romance performed their 63rd show of the 2022-2023 Swarm tour in Meeanjin (Brisbane), Australia. At this show, an unreleased song (titled "Eagles" on the paper setlist) was performed for the 7th time ever, with new lyrics. Gerard Way wore a dark grey skirt suit and white shirt, and "Everything Under Control" was written on the drums. (🖤)

-WHY CERTAIN SITUATIONS/PATTERNS KEEP REPEATING?

A lot of situations or patterns keep on repeating and we be like "why it's happening again and again with me?" This happens when you're stuck in the past. When your inner child is still unhealed. When your inner self is still unaware and hidden. When you're spiritually not awakened. One more reason why it repeats is because the universe wants to teach you something but you still didn't understood.

-HOW TO STOP THE REPEATING CYCLE?

1. ELIMINATE OLD BELIEFS

To break the continuous traumatic cycle, first it's important to eliminate old beliefs and patterns. Meaning all of your old perception, thoughts, behaviour and habits you need to eliminate them. After eliminating old beliefs and patterns, create new and positive beliefs and self image. When you clear and release the old, a space for new is naturally made. Heal yourself. Heal your inner child. Heal all of your past traumas.

2.LET YOURSELF FEEL

Let yourself feel. Cry out . Burst out. Write down your feelings. Meditate. Pray to god. Do things you love to do. Go out in nature. Deep breaths. Smile. Talk to yourself. Love yourself. Take care of yourself. Don't let your feelings or emotions control you. Clear out. Don't hurry up but also remember don't let your emotions go too long. Don't ignore or avoid your emotions.

3. CREATE A NEW YOU

I haven't read about this anywhere but... if edwin was in hell for such a long time, he had already seen everything around there (as you can see in his notebook), including the punishment inflicted over the people who sinned by lust.

my point is, that despite not knowing modern terminology, that boy knows what sex is, he had seen it, and probably his perspective of how it works is just another layer of his trauma.

Update: I had been unable to stop myself from spiralling about this and I'm just thinking about the implications and the way Edwin probably tried to get out of the lust room several times before, but also the way he struggled even with Charles' help, and how it must had been when he had to do it on his own...
