5. Do you respond to comments? Sometimes with significant delay, but yes

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? If we are just looking at the individual fic, I wrote a couple of episode codas during the Malec break-up in Shadowhunters that were fairly bleak. But I've never really written angst that isn't resolved by a follow-up fic or by the source material. I'm delicate. Ending author's notes don't count.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? They are mostly pretty mushy! Can take your pick.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Nope

9. Do you write smut? Yeah, it's probably my primary vocation lmao. Though a pretty recent one! I had only written it twice ever before I started writing steddie.

10. Do you write crossovers? No, and I feel like this is not as common as it was when, like, LJ and ff dot net were the primary fandom sites.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I am aware of...

14. What's your all time favorite ship? Stucky........

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? lmao. I'm a quitter, so anything I start and don't finish in a sitting is at risk for this. My white whale, gogoboysteve, is the most fleshed out of my WIPs that I'm not sure I'll ever get all the way through.

16. What are your writing strengths? I am very funny. This is obviously good for comedy writing, which is my wheelhouse, but I think more dramatic writing is still set-up and punchline, even if the punchline isn't played for laughs.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? You know how pointing out your insecurities draws attention to them? I started listing stuff, decided that I don't want you noticing my eyebrows are more cousins than twins, and deleted it. I will say I think I am something of a one trick pony and comedy is also a bit of a crutch for me and nvm, Kam reblogged a post about finding your form as a writer, and I am not a one trick pony, I have just been called to write silly porn. My weaknesses are varied sentence structure and physical description.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I haven't done it, but I think it is fine as long as you are not using a translation software to do so.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Maximum Ride

20. Favorite fics you've written? I've said it before, but right now Path to the Rainbow's End because I finished it lmao. And I like the end product! The Floor of Heaven's Lain is also a favorite, I think the structure is fun and interesting, and I could read it immediately after I wrote it without picking it to pieces.

man the first x-files revival season is all over the map politically. Jeff Winger plays Alex Jones from wish.com and Mulder calls him an asshole but then half his conspiracy theories turn out to be true. Stede Bonnet shows up as a lizard man who hears about trans people for the first time and says "that's crazy, people can't change sex" but Mulder explains "it's actually a pretty standard medical procedure and in fact you don't even need surgery to be-" and the lizard guy immediately decides transitioning will fix all his problems. there's a "radical Muslim terrorism" episode where Mulder gets high off his ass on a placebo he thinks is magic mushrooms, goes to a country bar and line dances to Achy Breaky Heart, then blacks out and psychically communes with the terrorism suspect who it turns out is a nice guy who decided not to be a terrorist, but all his friends are terrorists. like what the hap is fuckening

Learning about Captain’s death was fantastic of course, but even for other reasons, this episode was my favourite this series

The Achy Breaky Heart dance and the plague ghosts dancing to Mike’s music and Humphrey spending so much screentime in one piece and Obi and Barclay both back for 2 episodes for the final series and Barclay being nice and friendly now and giving them baby stuff and Obi thinking Brenda dumped him (me and my dad both immediately knew he’d just misunderstood something but we guessed she was talking about the toaster thing) and Robin’s mouse family and CAP GOT TO SEE HAVERS BEFORE HE DIED AND HIS MEDALS AREN’T HIS AND HIS NAME IS

AND OH MY GOD JULIAN ALISON FINALLY FINDING OUT HE PUSHED HER BUT THEN THAT SPEECH HE PULLED THROUGH WHY AM I SO PROUD OF JULIAN FAWCETT OF ALL PEOPLE

I’ll probably rewatch the series and get my thoughts on each episode together more clearly at some point

Series 5 of Ghosts was so good!!!!

I don’t think any of my friends at work/college have watched it yet, so I’m going to Tumblr (again)

Spoilers… obviously.

This whole season was so cute and emotional in my opinion and the best series they’ve done so far.

Episode 1:

The idea of an April fools episode was so good. I like seeing Alison and Humphrey working together. I liked seeing how each one of the ghosts went down, especially The Captain. I expected Alison to be pregnant on the last season so it’s nice that I was correct.

Episode 2:

The Kitty plot in this gave me second hand embarrassment, but I liked how it ended with her grossed out by people with parents. Fanny being a better poet than Thomas was cool. I found it cute when Thomas put her name at the bottom. Also, I love how Thomas is Scottish. Pat and Julian arguing over the north and south is pretty funny, especially as someone who lives in the midlands. The reappearing solicitor jokes are great.

Episode 3:

KITTY HAS SUCH A COOL DEATH!!!! I didn’t expect that at all and I love it. Out of all the characters, I didn’t expect Eleanor to make me cry. Looking at theories, I never really liked the idea of her killing her. It’s nice to see her actually sad by her sister’s death. I liked how even Kitty didn’t know what happened. It was a better mystery than Alberta in the CBS version.

Episode 4:

Another episode that I cried at. I love Sophie and Robin’s relationship, even if Sophie never knew he was there. It was quite depressing watching Robin being alone. It didn’t even pass my mind that he was on his own. I do want to learn more about William though. He seems like an interesting character. I was a big fan of all the French in it. I’m not French, but I did pretty well in my GCSEs and I haven’t looked at the language since, so it’s nice I understood a lot of it.

Episode 5:

I love this episode! I think it had a great plot with Robin believing one of them is going to get “sucked off.” By the end, even if it’s so unbelievable, you do start to worry one of them might go. It was finally nice to learn about The Captain’s death, however, it did give me second hand embarrassment. I was too worried about him. The moments with Havers was great, and I didn’t expect Haver’s to have given him the stick he has. It makes me change his view on him. When I first watched them together, I always thought it was a one sided relationship. I always though Havers saw him as a good friend and colleague, not in romantic way. This episode changed my view of that. I felt so bad when The Captain tried to reach for his face but he had to stick to holding his hand because… you know… 1940s and homophobia. Yes, I do have Achy Breaky Heart drilled into my head.

Episode 6:

I do like how Kitty accidentally stuck her head in Alison’s belly and her being really bad at keeping secrets. Also that she didn’t know it was the umbilical cord. I’m glad they brought up that Julian pushed her out the window because I know that’s been a big question for years whether she was aware. I’m glad they decided to stay.

6 and 11 for ghosts asking game!

6 - What is your favourite moment from each series?

This is probably all subject to change because there’s so many moments that I absolutely love. I have other favourites that I could include but if I did that this would be far too long.

Series 1 - Probably Pats death scene, I know it’s not exactly a nice scene to watch but I just adore the way it’s done, particularly when he falls against the front of the bus, idk it plays with my brain chemistry in ways I can’t explain. Jim’s acting in that scene is just incredible.

Series 2 - The scene right at the start of episode 1 when Alison goes round the house doing her little morning routine. I just love looking at what each ghost does and I love all their little interactions.

Series 3 - The whole camping thing in Woodworm men is just lovely. We get Patcap and we get the cute little ghosts holiday vibe. I just love all of it.

Series 4 - Mary’s death episode (again quite morbid I need to stop picking death related favourite scenes) I love seeing how they all deal with grief, we really get a range of methods and they all suit the characters. If I had to pick a particular moment I’d go with Cap and Julian’s ‘very manly’ arm touch.

Series 5 - Probably achy breaky heart just because it’s hilarious but also the whole build up with Pat and the Captain having their moment and the Thomas hug it’s all just so lovely (minus the heart wrenching interval of death).

11 - What is your favourite thing about the show in general?

Found family.

I am found family obsessed and I adore the dynamics between all the characters in this show.

Also the fandom, I’ve been in so many fandoms over the years and this is genuinely the most lovely fandom I’ve been in. Particularly because I’ve only actually been in it since the end of October last year. So thank you <3
