See, Eng Doffy sounds so confident and smug but in that assholeish way, he gives me the "I want to punch him" feel. Meanwhile Japanese Doffy gives me the "I would not DARE punch this man bcs I know I will not live long enough to regret it" feel. I would not DARE go against Japanese Doffy, I would not dare speak or yell at him, while I would foolishly think of punching and attempting to punch English Doffy. Does that make sense? Eng Doffy would trick me into thinking I have a chance. Japanese Doffy I wouldn't even think about fighting him.

I love how you can already pick up on his "I am a god" thingy bcs Eng Doffy says "creates the blind spot in humans" he could have said "people" but nope. That's a nice little hint.

Also, once more, Eng Doffy is making my brain work for it with the "But it's the rigidity of the mind assuming no one would go to such lengths that creates the blind spot in humans."

It's interesting how I can sorta pick up on the hatred Law feels for Doflamingo in English. Law has quite a calm voice in English, but it gets ROUGHER and RUDER in tone when he talks to Doflamingo. In Japanese, he tends to raise his voice so he's LOUDER than Doflamingo when he talks to him so both VAs have their own very good takes on the approach of Law's emotions. Very nice.

Doflamingo in English speaks like an angry dad who is trying not to show anger but is still angry and is about to beat the shit out of his son, and also condescending as hell. Like oooh, damn, the condescension when he talks to Law like Law is a kid (he does this in Japanese too just in a bit of a different tone but you still feel the "angry dad disciplining his kid who did sth extremely extremely stupid" so the shoe fits)

Grimmjow x Bazz-B

Some Notes: This is canon abstraction! The lower half of this is not how the episodes play out. Tragically these characters are never shown to have met in the anime nor the source material but they were in close proximity canonically! Events right around Grimmjow's rampage toward Askin (manga - 629; anime TYBW - 32) are where most of these screenshots are from. The concept I decided embellish was: since Bazz's group was shown so high up during Grimmjow's rampage that Bazz could have noticed someone wreaking havoc down below. Heavier-handed headcanon is Bazz's liking it (not that much of a stretch, he likes breaking things!). I wasn't sure if I could make one of these for GrimmBazz reasonably but Bazz seemed to spend plenty of time on that high perch looking around the battlefield and fortress so this felt like the closest to canon that was reasonable. Since Grimmjow's aspect is destruction and Bazz is a punk and quincy (sometimes translated to 'monk of destruction') I thought the Destruction x Destruction theme would be would be neat too.

It’s a restless night under the clear, starry sky. After missing the rainstorm that blew through and hours of tossing and turning, you steal your resolve. You tiptoe around your room, grabbing your necessities. In your pockets are a strawberry chapstick, headphones, and your phone in its baby blue case. Around your waist is a lightweight raincoat that does little more than break the wind. You double-check for your glasses, finding them right where they’re supposed to be, perched upon your nose bridge.

You creep down the old, creaky, carpeted stairs that face your red front door and tentatively turn the golden knob. The floorboards creak beneath you, but your parents and siblings are far past asleep. You step out onto the dark street, lit by episodic lamps that cast a dim orange hue across the street.

You text the one person you wouldn’t mind not being left alone by.

The gray icon of him typing back appears almost immediately despite the late hour.

You type out on the keys, the Y, the E, and the S.

“Mark?” You call out softly into the dark where a figure, approximately his height approaches you. You know it’s him because of his stride and the visible white logo on his sneakers that reflects the minimal light from the street lamps above.

“I’m here.” His familiar voice comforts your brief uncertainty. You wordlessly meet him and start walking the direction he came with him. This isn’t routine, but your relationship grows stronger in each other's silent company. 

He puts a comforting arm around your shoulder as you lean into him, and you feel the occasional rub of your shoulder. He breaks the silence of the humid night. “I was hoping I could walk with you, even if just for a minute.” He confesses quietly. “This feels like a scene from a movie, right?” He’s referencing the faint stars that glimmer above your heads.

You think for a minute before deciding to tease. He doesn’t mind the silence. “I’ll be the smart, attractive, kind main character, and you’ll be…” You pretend to think, “My loyal best friend? My charming love interest?” This is your ulterior motive, flustering him.

“I could be.” You can hear his breath hitch in his chest from your proximity. “I don’t know if I exactly fit charming, but I could be your love interest.”

“Promise you’re serious?” You ask faintly.

“Serious as I can be.” He’s fidgeting with the sleeve of the wrinkled shirt you threw on before you left the house. A firefly blinks in front of you. It’s the first one of the summer.

“I’d let you be my love interest.” You tell him, burying yourself a little further in his side, waiting for his response.

“Would you let me kiss you?” His sentence is abrupt, but the answer comes easy to you.

He turns to face you, “Yes.” Your lips and his tenderly meet under the streetlamp, it’s slow and perfect. You hook your arms together behind his neck to pull him closer. He kisses you like you’re the only thing he’s ever missed, and maybe you are.

When your lips break through heavy breathing, you smile up at him and pull a case out of your pocket. 

“I have the perfect song for this.” You grin, and he takes a wireless bud in his hand and sticks it in his earring-clad ear. You put the other in yours and press play. 

“I didn’t know how much I missed you.” He mumbles against your lips as the first drum line hits. Void of word, you push your lips back into his

Voe never missed an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Of course, her death threw a little wrench in that situation, and considering that only Hellborns get to watch human TV she had to substitute it with something. Luckily, Valentino produces and airs a show about his actors in drag weekly, so Voe could tune in for that. 

Voe was simply minding her business watching when Alastor was strolling through the parlor and became distracted by all the bright colors on the screen and simply had to stop and comment.

“My dear, what in Hell are you watching?”

She turns to face him “Oh hi Alastor, I’m watching Val’s new show Drag Me to Hell. He’s got all his best actors d dressing in drag and performing different talents,”

Alastor cracks his neck “What is ‘drag’?”

Voe stops all activity. She isn’t exactly surprised that this man had drag explained to him, but she didn’t really know how to explain it to him. It was a concept that most people just got.

“Hmm,” she said, pulling out her phone and looking it up “Here look, it says ‘a performer (typically a man) who adopts a flamboyant or parodic feminine persona, with glamorous or exaggerated costumes and makeup’”

Alastor cocks his head in confusion, squinting while his smile grows strained

“It’s basically men dressing up as women but in a more exaggerated way. Usually, it’s men anyway, but women can do it too,”

“Why would they do that?”

Voe squinted, her brain was working in overdrive trying to explain this to someone who was around before television. “It’s just a form of self-expression, look it’s Angel!”

The Radio Demon looked toward the screen to see the effeminate spider dressed even more femininely: in a long pink wig, a strapless black gown, heavy makeup, and lashes. He watched Angel Dust dance on the pole given to him. It seemed almost enchanting to watch his moves, which, despite being overly sexual and suggestive, had a bit of class to them. 

Voe speaks up some more gesturing toward the screen “They challenge societal expectations with bold attitudes, a flashy fashion sense, and unexpected makeup looks and rebel against gender conformity and embrace sexual freedom and a carefree attitude.”

Alastor takes a moment to let this sink in

“They’re like….modern day flappers if you will,’

Alastor’s eyes widen upon hearing this, flappers he could understand. If these…performers were shaking up societal normals the way flappers did, then this was something he could get behind. 

“Do you mind if I watch it with you dear?”

Voe smiles widely “Of course you can watch with me! Come, sit” She pats the spot next to her and her husband sits down with her. She leans onto his shoulder “What you’re saying now are drag queens, which are the men who dress as women, that’s the most popular. There are also drag kings which are the women that dress like men,”

“Have you ever thought of doing drag?”

Voe slowly turns her head up at her husband “Perhaps. Have you ever thought of doing drag?”

A blush rises up his cheeks “Of course not I only just learned the term today!”

“But the concept of drag has been around for centuries, have you ever thought of dressing femininely?” The blush on his face gets deeper “Oh my gosh, you have! Why haven’t you before? You would look sooo good!”

Alastor shakes his head furiously “No, no, no, no! Stop! This is too much,”

Voe shuts her mouth as quickly as she opens it, and they sit in silence for a beat or two. “Okay, but you’re already wearing heels….”

He turns to look at her as the blush overtakes his entire face as Voe’s grin widens to match his.

Day 2 of your period, the worst day. Backaches, cramps, and an endless stream of blood between your legs left you basically immobile the entire day. You had tried to do some yoga earlier in a last attempt to end your pain but you gave up and laid on the floor until you had to go to the bathroom again.

You groaned again into the pillow and stretched one leg behind you, unaware of the sound of the door opening.

“Y/N?”

You looked up to see Steve standing in your doorway, a bouquet of lilies in his hand and a concerned look on his face. His eyes scanned the room, the messy sheets, the bottle of Motrin on the bedside table, and you twisted in the center of the bed. 

“Shoot!” You cried, shooting up from the bed only to collapse right back down.

Steve ran to you, dropping the flowers on the floor as he wrapped an arm around you.

“We had a date,” you whined, tucking your head into his shoulder as more cramps surged through you. “I’m so sorry.”

“Don’t worry about it,” He said, his eyes still panicked. “What’s wrong? Are you hurt? Sick?”

You shook your head pulling him closer.

“No, it’s just… women's issues.”

Steve tensed before speaking again.

“What?”

You pulled your head up and looked away. You really didn’t want to explain.

“You know…like…God Steve! Are you really going to make me say it?” You complained, moving to get under the covers of your bed. 

He sat for a moment, his eyes following your movement and getting a glimpse of the black towel shoved in your sheets.

“Oh.”

The two of you delved into silence for a moment and your cheeks blazed red. Embarrassed, you turned away from Steve, not letting him see your humiliation. Tears brimmed in your eyes when you felt the bed shift as he left the room. You pulled the blanket tighter around yourself as the tears spilled over onto the pillow and pain flared through your abdomen.

A minute later, Steve returned. 

“Sweetheart?”

You didn’t move, embarrassment and pain coursing through you.

“I got your heating pad from the closet and grabbed a brownie from the kitchen.”

That got your attention. You turned over, wiping your eyes before looking up at him. Steve stood there holding both items with a comforting smile on his face. When you didn’t object, he sat down on the bed with you, reaching down to plug in the heating pad before scooching closer to you, handing it to you to settle it where you wanted. You leaned into him as it began to warm, letting out a sigh and taking the brownie from his hands. The two of you sat for a few minutes together before you spoke.

“You’re not disgusted?” You asked him quietly.

He shook his head, his arm going around your shoulders and squeezing you tight.

“Of course not, it’s natural. Almost half the world goes through it, why should I be disgusted by it?”

You took another bite of your brownie, wincing at your cramps. Steve felt you tense and moved one of his hands to your stomach, applying pressure right where you needed it.

“The other guys I’ve been with didn’t want anything to do with me when I…so I just assumed you would, too.”

“Never,” he replied, dropping a kiss on your forehead. “I’m always here for you.”

In the past three days, I've maybe had five hours of sleep.

It's not helping that my mom's oxygen machine is fucked up and keeps going off with an alarm for some unknown reason at all hours of the night.

I was supposed to get out of the house later today, maybe go to Half Price Books or something. But I was asleep for maybe 45 minutes when that fucking alarm went off again and there was no chance in hell of going back to sleep.

It is 629 am. I don't want to go anywhere today, but my mother is forcing me out so I can do something for myself and not have to be on call. And all I can think about is driving down to the park near our home and trying to nap in my jeep instead of going out and being around other mortals.

Lack of sleep is never good for someone who is as mentally ill as I am. But I stopped taking my pills years ago cuz it was thinning my hair and fucking up other things with my health. I tend to be okay and can steer clear of triggers, but when my sleeping habits become even worse than they already are, I'm likely to have a schizophrenic episode.
