So Odysseus opened the wind bag.

He disguised himself as an old man like with the wooden horse to get back into the palace.

Hermes said "you need a mind set change for this" and "fight your way through, do what you must do"

So Odysseus stabbed Poseidon over and over again forcing him to stop the storm.

Hermes said "no matter what keep moving"

So he sailed past the Charybdis.

Hermes told him to remember every trick.

So he took down the torches to attack the suitors like scilla

And honestly? I believe Hermes reminder to "not open the bag"? Was just what he had to say. He was supposed to tell Odysseus to not open it. But Hermes being Hermes gave Ody a little push, a little wink wink.

Lol but really, I realistically expect it to be severely rocky. He’ll have good days, mostly bad days, but what keeps him grounded is of course his family, you know?

But imagine losing your entire fleet under your command...

...only to come back to an entire population of thousands of people, expecting that you will lead them.

look i know we’ve had these lyrics for a while now but going back with fresh eyes that have seen the vengeance saga: in “hold them down” when antinous talks about killing telemachus and how “only the ocean and i will know” i can only imagine poseidon, having freshly been given a resounding ass-kicking by odysseus for even mentioning threatening his son (among other things) going no no no motherfucker do NOT bring me into this i’m not doing this again

my favorite thing about how everyone draws Odysseus

for what ever reason Odysseus is drawn as the shortest adult mortal character and honesty it's funny to me . Props to Ody the og short king.

The suitors all call Odysseus "old King" like ??? Do they not know his name or who he is? Did they just see a posting "Looking for new king of Ithaca against Queen's will, dw about who you're replacing" and a bunch of dudebros just went hell yeah lets go?

The only time some of them seem to have any knowledge of the old kings personality is when one guy is like "this guy cunning" and another goes "smartest king around tbf" and that is IT. Saying "he's more cunning than I thought" about the guy who's basically responsible for bringing down Troy is CRAZY. Which leads me to believe that that guy doesn't actually know that this is THE Odysseus. which, again, CRAZY.
