Yehhh first episode of slice of life/spiritual info comic is out qwq.
Dragon skulls are excellent at being your bedtime protector (or just anytime). And they love to work on your energy whenever you ask them to. Remember to give them lots of pats and love because that's how they get pumped up and happi!!
Took me wayyyy too long to finish this ayaya, but somehow, my soul just had to give me 10 thousand different activities with other humans (。ŏ_ŏ) I still have an incoming trip. And there's a dragon I want to recruit that I was too hesitant about. Now I don't know if the dragon is still looking for a guardian T..T
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the first episode! Will try to post at least once a week after 10/31 /_> \

So Ahsoka was having mental issues with anakin's fall, meaning she didn't actually want to live. Her fear of being what Baylon said she was meant she was always going to lose that fight, because in many ways star wars is about belief; Luke has faith and trusts the force, destroying the Death Star. Rey has belief and trusts the force and defeats Kylo Ren(1). Ahsoka doubts herself and so she loses.
The reason she was reluctant to train Grogu and Sabine is a result of letting fear of herself stop her from truly comitting, which ties back into Anakin's fall to the dark side.
This is shown when she indirectly tells anakin that all he taught her was war, and that's all he and therefore she was. Her ultimate stand is deciding that no, she wants to live and that they were both more than that. That's why she changes robes from gray to white(2), it's her recommiting herself.

(Not so)Happy 5th TROS anniversary!!!!!
(12/20/19-12/20/24)
TOP 5 ways LF could’ve easily saved Ep IX(aka we will forever be fucked by this movie)!!!!!
Tumblr media
1-HUX is the BIG BAD(we don’t need Palpatine, we don’t want Palpatine)! Rian set this up at the end of TLJ. A completely unhinged, vengeful Domhnall Gleason would’ve been so great! Armitage double-crosses Kylo Ren on Mustafar by shooting him in the back. He declares himself Chancellor of Coruscant!
Tumblr media
(cont')Kylo Ren dies and is greeted by his Uncle Luke in the World Between Worlds(see you around kid). Luke gives him a choice to stay or go back home to Leia. Ben Solo is resurrected by the loyal servants of his grandfather.
Tumblr media
2-Keep the shipbuilder(Rey’s grandmother). The ship in Rey’s TFA vision belonged to her granny. No Ochi of Bestoon, no sith dagger, and Rey is not a Palpatine…she is still Rey Nobody!!! Just as Rey finds her grandmother…the Knights of Ren show up and take that away from her. Rey in turn kills them all. This sets Rey on the dark path!
Tumblr media
3-Give Finn his dang epic Stormtrooper Rebellion! I think the best part of DOTF was how Finn’s story played out. He could become a Jedi or not I’m good either way. More Finn=More Rose!
Tumblr media
4-Dark Rey is REAL! The climax of the movie would be Dark Rey vs Good Boi Ben on Mortis or Exegol(both are cool)!!
Tumblr media
5-Ben/Rey get their happy ending on Ahch-To!!

AHSOKA EP. 3 RECAP
these are my absolutely unabridged thoughts. less of a recap more of a please let’s talk about this shit!! SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT
1. THE PURRGIL. I love them so much. I cried to see them in live action. they’re HUGE!! they’re wonderful. someone gif the Ahsoka purrgil pleeeeeease!!
Tumblr media
2. “I suppose you do come from a long line of unusual jedi” NICE REFERENCE TO THE DISASTER LINEAGE I love this
ALSO love that this show is addressing the ongoing debate between the “anyone can tap into the force” camp and the “some people are born with force abilities camp”—it’s both! and it can be both.
3. love that Jacen is in this and also the subtle Kanan reference I died (“I lost friends people that were like family to Thrawn etc etc)
Tumblr media
4. This is the most female characters I’ve seen in any Star Wars project, EVER. this is the first time I’ve ever seen a space battle (a gun”man” and a pilot and a pursuer in a gunship) all take place between female characters. this is so significant to me I can’t even explain it. watching the scene with the star fight felt to me like that moment when I first watched Rey wield the force (the first force sensitive female character we’d had on the big screen). I wanted to cry. I’m so happy.
Tumblr media
5. surprisingly I don’t have a problem with spacesuit Ahsoka. it’s one of those weird things that sort of works 😂 even though it’s so weird. like that part of TLJ when Leia freezes in space
I’m finally caught up!!! please tell me your takes.

Ahsoka, ep 1 & 2 [SPOILERS]
I really enjoyed these. List of things I liked:
-Lighting, set design, costumes, everything was done so beautifully. It felt very lived in and everything had weight and history to it. I loved the design work on the ancient ruins, the map itself, and the way each location had a distinct visual feel. The framing of shots and mise en scène is often thoughtful and evocative. Film quality work overall.
-When I was growing up I dreamed of Sci Fi/Fantasy stories with this many women getting to be distinct and interesting. It's a pleasure to see. It's not absent male characters, but women's journeys and struggles are foregrounded.
-I'm fascinated by the two master and apprentice duos - a father and daughter relationship that is more formal and distant (IMO) because of the introduction of that (and what DOES Dad feel about Jedi??? I'm intrigued) - and then Ahsoka and Sabine, for whom that bond is about moving closer. Perhaps, in many ways, it is all Ahsoka knows of being family with someone, and Sabine (in light of her grief and equally broken/war torn childhood as Ahsoka?) needs "structure" and a sense of purpose.
-It totally works for me how Ahsoka is sharing with Sabine the spiritual, philosophical, ethical, and martial components of force training - that it doesn't matter whether Sabine is super gifted in the force. The force is with her, and within her, as it is with all living beings, and exploring it is a discipline that offers her and Ahsoka a bond they need and a sense of grounding that Sabine longs for. The power levels obsession is something I dislike; it turns the force into just another superpower, where only superheroes with super gifts matter. I like the Rogue One and TLJ more mystical pov.
-I thought I'd be all about Shinsoka before watching, but so far I'm shipping Shinwren [edit: I guess people are calling them Wolfwren?] pretty hard and having fun with it 🤷 PUNK girl/Emo Goth girl Enemies to Lovers ship ftw lol Shin didn't stab Sabine center mass - she hit her on the side and Shin's dad is reluctant to kill Jedi trained/force using people, perhaps his daughter is too? Also perhaps she's lonely - how much social interaction does she get with other force users? Esp ones near her own age? We'll see!

1, 5, 19
1 - How did you get into toku?
Oh I binged half of Power Ranger at age 10
More recently: I got my hands on a dvd of Super Ninja Steel. I was fading on Star Wars bc TLJ burned me so bad, and I ended up sucked back in. Within a year or two I was also doing Sentai and Rider. A lot of people have these emotional stories with discovering Toku. I, perhaps fortunately, don’t?
5 - Favorite main hero?
Tsukasa Kadoya Kamen Rider Decade
He’s genuinely such a good lead, and a rarity. On top of being rude, he’s one of very few protagonists to be twisted. And it’s so fascinated watching him go from an asshole with depression, to a well meaning asshole terrified of his future, to a false monster, just trying to save as many people as possible (no matter the cost to himself). To…
There’s this brilliant, shining moment at the end of Movie war where Kadoya Tsukasa is content.
It does not last. Yonemura brings him to SHT and says “he goes evil to help fix everything. This is how he does it now. This is how he understands himself”. And Aikawa shows up for the Wizard special and goes “yeah, that sounds right. This is where his characters goes.” And the Heisei Vs Showa says “this breaks him. This pulls him away and apart”.
And then… then Zi-O. Then Decade Vs Zi-O. He has been searching for a place to die. He is alone. This is not what should have been, but it’s what has been decided for him. And all he wants… is rest.
A beautiful ending.
…and hell, let’s focus on Decade proper. Holy hell, Decade proper. Did you know it took until Blade for Tsukasa’s iconic speech music to queue on time? He is not naturally a hero. Tsukasa Kadoya is a monster. He has no story. Except… he wants to be a hero. In a real way. He wants to HELP PEOPLE, regardless of himself, but he doesn’t know how to be good. And every time he succeeds, it backfires. Over and over. And he keeps going anyways.
I skipped Zi-O too. Do you ever think about how Tsukasa kept trying to fix things? To help Sougo on the right path. To help him be a HERO and FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM BEFORE IT ENDS IN DEATH.
Do you ever think about how he failed and succeeded in equal measure?
Do you ever think about how “my powers are my very life” means HE HAS NO LIFE OUTSIDE OR DECADE?
…because I do
19 - If you could go back and change one show, what would you change?
This might surprise you, but I wish Stronger got that extra 10 eps. I wish we got Kamen Rider Tackle. I don’t think it would fix anything, but I do imagine living in a world where the origin of female Rider history is not a tragic death sounds like a much better one.

i just watched patrick willem's video from 2018 on the last jedi called "what do we want from a star wars movie?" and im going to share my thoughts because no one can stop me, im 6 years late and i don't care
i like his channel a lot and i think he did a good job explaining it, but i agree maybe 50% with his main point. he says that fans who were upset with tlj were looking for the Star Wars Feeling™️ from a star wars movie, the feeling of nostalgia essentially, and that the eu normalizing explications for everything made fans less open to new stuff. the main thing *i* want to say though is about one of his supporting points: that the prequels didnt feel like star wars in that they weren't relatable like the ot.
i love the prequels man. of course, i grew up with them in a way many didn't (as well as tcw which just serves to heighten the movies), so there's definitely bias, but one thing i love about the prequels *is* that vastly different feeling. looking back, the ot could be described as campy, but every person ive talked to who saw Star Wars in 1977 said the effects and presentation were beyond any immersion they'd ever experienced before. the same cannot be said for ep. 1, even people who got into star wars from that movie (at least that ive heard), despite also being on the cutting edge of movie technology, and obviously the dialogue is way cheesier than anything written by anyone other than george lucas, but all that just adds to the vibes, ya know? the galaxy was in a different time then too, and i can't explain how much fun it is to experience these completely separate times in such a visceral way, intentional or otherwise, when watching through the saga
i hate the sequels. of the 3, tlj is far and away my favourite. i would have LOVED to see what trilogy rian johnson and his team could have cooked up if they'd been given control over the whole thing. i love tfa visually, and introduces some great characters (ahem, KYLO...also finn i love him) but just *feels* like anh remastered. if that's what you wanted, great! but for me, i was just sooo stoked to see what a new era would feel like that it really disappointed me. the main thing i hear from people who like tlj is that it takes the story in a different direction. and while i really appreciate that, and do like the force dyad stuff and finn and roses subplot and the not-lightsaber fight at the end AND what all that stuff means for the saga, it still has that feeling of sameness, at least to me, because it's trying to be something so different. the way i see it, it's trying to be *opposite* of what everyone expects, which means it needs to have that same feel in order to subvert it. which, again, is fine by me! tfa was already done and it has to fit that aesthetic to fit into the trilogy, and im just one fan. of course everyone hates ros which i guess tried to do opposite of what they did opposite in tlj? i don't know what they were on making that movie
another thing i wanted to bring up was the whole interconnectedness of the franchise. patrick brought up the eu to show how fans were taught that every detail has an explanation. no second of the ot was without a dozen books detailing what every character was doing in the background and how they came to be there. his point was that, when new characters are doing new things in unexpected ways, people don't like it cause there isn't a wookiepedia article on it yet to explain it exactly, and that that ties into why people hated tlj. i don't doubt it, but i also want to point out that that eu is a source of a lot of enjoyment too. i don't think he was denying this, or saying it was bad at all, but i just wanted to share that the eu is basically the reason im as big a fan as i am. the idea that everything is connected is appealing to me, and the way that star wars does it, where expanded material takes place in all different times and settings with no correlation to publishing date, just really appealed to me in contrast to the marvel way or any other big franchise like that. in any other series, each new installment progresses time forward. in star wars, we have infinite time to explore any era we want...which brings me back to how much i love the completely different aesthetics from the ot and pt. the variety is so refreshing. the galaxy feels so different between eras where the sequels just make it rebels vs empire again. we already have a billion books on rebels vs empire so...what expanded stories can i look forward to thats different in the sequel era? im sure there are lots, but the difference just won't be as great. also, star wars *is* goofy. patrick says it himself, bringing up that there were a lot more jokes in the ot. id argue the prequels take themselves so seriously that the seriousness becomes the goofiness (and i love it). ive said many times on this blog that i LOVE the stupid part of star wars lore. like yes, the fact that it's explained who the stormtrooper is that han killed and stole armour from and that he's fucking tarkin is SUPER UNNECESSARY but it's FUNNY AS FUCK. no one needs to know palpatines name is sheev but that's the best name ever? the problem isn't the lore, it's when people take it too seriously and don't allow for that innovation to happen that leads to more fun lore and stories. which i think is exactly what patrick was saying, he just didn't emphasize how enjoyable the unnecessary-ness of it all is and how distinct feels in different star wars eras are imperative to all these diverse avenues for story and fun to arise. (now do i think people should be able to survive lightsaber wounds? only cause of how much i love qui-gon, i admit to being a bit angry about that...but at the end of the day i don't really care that much? im here to have fun and yeah ill complain about it sometimes but just cause complaining is also fun)
that's why i love tcw (it fleshes out this distinct time period and political setting) and rebels (again, fleshes out the distinct era of extremely fleeting hope between the empire's reign and the coming of the saviour) and the heir to the empire novels (they establish a new era with a different feel—much more similar to the ot than the prequels are to the ot but still) and kotor (same as with htte but more similar to prequels) and the new jedi order and legacy (although it's also basically rebels vs empire, it has enough of a divergent story and tone that i like it) and the high republic in the disney canon (although i haven't digested as much of it as id like cause fuck disney)
but my main point: the thing i want from new star wars is a mix of things patrick seems to love,l AND things he seems to hate. yes i want it to be star wars, so there's some sort of familiar feeling there that needs to present, but i also want a twist on it. the ot was a classic fairy tale. the prequels were political thrillers (sometimes not so thrilling, but still). other stories people really liked act completely differently again, like the mandalorian being a western and also a heartwarming family bonding adventure or andor being a spy thriller and also the best star wars show. each era or sub-franchise has their distinct aesthetics and feels that future artists can make feel even more distinct and special yet theyre all connected which is just fun don't you think? the sequels would have made me a lot happier if they gave us some new ground for new feels the same way the prequels did. anyway that's my official response no one cares about to a 6 year old video. yay!

I still think the Machete order, if you are coming in blind, is the best. This would be:
4, 5, (1), 2, 3, 6 (7, 8, 9)
Ep 1 in the original Machete order was cut out and I'm fairly agnostic about that. I do think it sets an important tone for Obi-Wan in particular and establishes Anakin's relationship with his mother but aside from those none of the other characters who play significant parts later have a defining moment or arc in the film.
7,8 and 9 have a problem of being a VERY obvious sequel. I mean that in the classic 80 comedy sequel problem. They try and retread the same ground as the previous movies but just make the set pieces bigger and more exciting. Then as now the problem is that running it back isn't that interesting, like TFA was intriguing when it released because it was a mystery box of "how does this connect" and characters who had fully open paths...and then they did the most boring trope-y BS with them and even chickened out on just going with TLJs crap.
Look I don't want to rant too much about TLJ (and ROS) but its just not a great movie. Its "subversize" in the most 2010s dudebro Snyder Cut way possible. The original trilogy was constantly laughing at itself, hell even the prequels TRIED to be self referentialy funny and even sometimes succeeded. The problem with TLJ is that it wants to be "edgy Star Wars" but then never commits and STILL feels constrained to replay the old hits. It refused to pick a lane, was it an edgy exploration of Luke as a broken Jedi, a heist movie for Finn, an action drama with Poe, or just TESB rewind with bigger explosions.
The only point I give it is that within each of those individual arcs the movie commits and just goes with it. ROS's biggest sin is that it refuses to be a movie. Its literally just a collection of scenes that give characters moments on the way to the big flashy battle at the end. It was the Game of Thrones Season 8 of movies in that it makes you feel less excited to have watched any of the stuff that came before.
I’ve only ever seen episode 4 of Star Wars. What would be the funniest order to watch them in?

Seeing everyone hyped about star wars and honestly it's a franchise I've been wanting to get into, is there a particular order in how I should watch the film's (and or series)?
Welcome to the fandom! I'd be thrilled to have you join us here!
Quick background primer before I answer the question. The Star Wars fandom loves using abbreviations and shortened names wherever possible to refer to the various films/series/other media, and it can get pretty confusing if you're unfamiliar with the lingo. You'll see the following used pretty regularly:
The Skywalker Saga: the three main trilogies (PT/OT/ST), which all focus on the Skywalker family. This is a new term that's often used by Disney; fan usage is so-so.
The Lucas Saga: the six movies (Episodes 1-6) that George Lucas, (SW's creator) made, wrote, and/or directed himself.
PT/OT/ST: refers to the three main "trilogies" of movies: The Prequel Trilogy (Episodes 1-3), the Original Trilogy (Episodes 4-6) and the Sequel Trilogy (Episodes 7-9).
Individual Movie Abbreviations: The Phantom Menace (TPM), Attack of the Clones (AOTC), Revenge of the Sith (ROTS), A New Hope (ANH), The Empire Strikes Back (ESB), Return of the Jedi (ROTJ), The Force Awakens (TFA), The Last Jedi (TLJ), and The Rise of Skywalker (TROS). Occasionally Rogue One gets shortened to RO. Solo does not get shortened.
The movies are called "episodes" because Lucas considered them to be individual entries in a larger story. They're numbered based on the chronological order in which their events occur. So Episode 1 (The Phantom Menace) was the 4th movie to be released but tells the earliest events that occur chronologically (movie-wise).
Now for the movies, I have two different but equally clear answers to this question, and which one you choose depends on your personal preference:
Release Order: Release order means watching the "Original Trilogy" movies (A New Hope->Empire Strikes Back->Return of the Jedi) that came out in the 70s/80s first. Then watch the prequel trilogy (The Phantom Menace->Attack of the Clones->Revenge of the Sith), which came out in the early 2000s, and finally the sequel trilogy (The Force Awakens->The Last Jedi->Rise of Skywalker). You can watch the two anthology films (Solo and Rogue One) in whichever order you prefer at any point after finishing the OT and PT.
Chronological Order: Watching in chronological order means you watch the movies in the order in which the movie's events occur within the timeline. This would mean watching Episodes 1-3, then watching Solo and Rogue One (in that order), and then watching Episodes 4-9 in the order they're numbered.
Note: There's a nearly 20 year time gap between the end of Revenge of the Sith and the beginning of A New Hope. Solo takes place ~10 years after ROTS/9 years before ANH. Rogue One takes place right before ANH starts and effectively serves as a background prequel. I personally recommend waiting until you've seen the entirety of the Lucas saga (Eps 1-6) before watching either one, because they were created to be supplementary material to those movies, but if you're doing a pure chronological watch, they both come before ANH.
tl;dr "either watch 1) Episodes 4-6->1-3->7-9, or 2) Episodes 1-9. The two anthology films (Rogue One and Solo) can be watched in any order at any point after you watch Episodes 1-6."
Both orders have their pros and cons. If you'd prefer to start with a war-based drama that has a happy ending and better collective script, I'd start with the original trilogy (A New Hope). If you'd like a romance-based Greek tragedy that has better worldbuilding and a lot of fun action sequences, I'd start with the prequel trilogy (The Phantom Menace).
Everything else is fun and adds to your experience, but is extraneous. The movies generally tell a complete story. If you want to be a movies-only fan, that's perfectly acceptable. However, there's a wide variety of other Star Wars-based media for you to consume and enjoy if you find yourself interested in the wider Star Wars universe. If you're interested in those, I'm going to put the rest of this answer behind a 'read more' since it's getting a bit long.
In the current canon, the principal form of "extra media" is the television shows. I'm going to list them in timeline/chronological order for clarity:
The Clone Wars (TCW): the 7 season animated television series that takes place in between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. TCW is an anthology-based show principally focusing on Anakin and Obi-Wan (and Anakin's apprentice Ahsoka Tano) as they fight in the Clone Wars. Show has ended.
The Bad Batch: starts basically immediately after ROTS concludes, focuses on a group of clones after the rise of the Empire. You will not understand this series if you haven't watched TCW. It's basically one of the few Star Wars shows that can't stand alone, since it's effectively a direct sequel to a few episodes of TCW. Currently airing.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (Kenobi): Kenobi is focused on Obi-Wan, one of the main characters of the Lucas saga (Eps. 1-6), and explores his attempts to protect the Skywalker children while hiding from the Empire. It takes place in the 19 year gap in between ROTS and ANH and starts approximately 10 years after ROTS concludes. Show has ended.
Andor: a show focused on Cassian Andor, one of the protagonists of Rogue One, and the other founders of the Rebellion as they fight the Empire. Takes place about 5 years before ANH. Currently airing.
Star Wars Rebels (Rebels): a 4 season animated television series that focuses on a "found family" of rebels fighting against the Empire. Starts about 4 years pre-A New Hope and runs to about 6 months before it starts. Show has ended.
The Mandalorian: Currently 2 seasons with a third on the way, Mando is a live-action show that takes place five years after the events of ROTJ and stars The Mandalorian, a lone bounty hunter who goes on the run to protect "The Child." Currently airing.
The Book of Boba Fett (TBOBF): a direct spin-off of The Mandalorian, this show follows bounty hunter Boba Fett from The Mandalorian and other Star Wars media as he establishes himself as the new crime lord of Jabba the Hutt's former territory. Show has ended.
There's also a variety of video games that take place within the Star Wars universe. The most popular ones include Jedi: Fallen Order, which tracks a survivor of the Jedi Genocide in between ROTS and ANH, and the Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) RPG games, which take place approximately 10,000 years before the events of the movies and focus on the great Jedi-Sith Wars.
There used to be all of these very pretty and easily-to-follow visual timelines that helped orient fans as to when a piece of media chronologically took place within the timeline, but when Disney bought Star Wars and discontinued the Expanded Universe (EU) to create the new/current canon, that also made all of those timelines lowkey obsolete and Disney has chosen not to continue making them.
Anyway, if you're interested in reading any of the books/comics, that's honestly worth an entirely separate answer on its own so I'm not going to answer that here, but let me know if you get through the movies and are interested in getting into that corner of the SW universe! I hope this wasn't too overwhelming for you and is easy enough to follow; let me know if it's not. And like I said at the beginning of the post, welcome to the fandom!

@ohmytheon replied to your post “also one of the things I loved about tlj was how you could tell John...”
I am a slut for michael giacchino so I was happy with rogue one's music. Lmao
omg so for some reason I was convinced Michael giacchino did the score for tfa (I guess bc he and jj Abrams always work together) but that’s NOT the case I feel an utter fool

Note
constance i need to vent like... i should have loved that ep because luke is my favorite sw character but why is he making grogu choose between din and jedi??? luke would never??? and why is ahsoka even there idc about rosario's ahsoka... and i wanted so bad to see cobb again but it should have been cobb AND BOBA IM SAYING THIS AS A DINCOBB SHIPPER it should have been cobb and boba interacting wtf!!! they're sidelining boba and fennec like they did finn and poe and im so fucking annoyed :(
i think it was both fair and not fair for luke to do that like....
it was unfair because it's a terrible thing to do to a child? it's probably one of the most important decision he's gonna make for his upoming 100 years and since grogu cares about both it makes things even more sad becaus both things clearly mean a lot to him :/
but also it is fair because luke lets him have a choice. like luke said, grogu's heart might not be in it so he might as well stay with din? also to be honest, since grogu is aging super slowly, he'll live for a long time, he could spend his entire life with din and then go back to jedi training with another jedi? or luke if he's still alive?
i think the whole thing is a very jedi thing and that's my personal issue because i always imagined Luke adjusting the Jedi way to a less.... "radical" cause that the Jedi preached so i'm a lil bit sad they're going this way but luke's still my boy, my n°1 drama sassy kween
and also like i've said, they're desperately trying to tie everything with the sequels so they're leading him to the whole hermit thing we saw in TLJ...... so luke's building up his jedi academy and everything so yeah... luke is different from what i have in my mind but he was still nice and sweet, and dramatic so i still enoyed seeing him!
and the cgi/deepfake was really incredible oh my god i was stunned. mark must also have been so deeply disturbed to see himself young again lmao

The Latest Information on Lucas’s Sequel Trilogy he wrote in 2011. Also some information from  Star Wars Archives: Episodes I-III: 1999–2005, author Paul Duncan interviewed George Lucas his ideas of a Sequel Trilogy.
Firstly, some of the things Pablo Hidalgo has stated about Lucas’s sequel trilogy that he has access to and spoke to Lucas directly about.
We know Lucas never considered the EU canon or a part of his Star Wars universe so it is not surprising his Sequel Trilogy was of his own creation.
........
"Fast forward to 2012, when we hear George is looking to make SW movies again, I though I thought 'I wonder what next Mon Calamari's gonna be. And it turns out, the Mon Calamari this time was huge swaths of the EU. There was no Jacen, no Jaina. No new Jedi Order. Chewie lived. Not surprising, but there it was."
~ Pablo Hidalgo, 2016

..
[Regarding Lucas Sequel Trilogy Treatments he wrote in 2011 and sold to Disney]
Comment - "What are you talking about? J.J. threw out His story treatments and he [George Lucas] has no imput at all anymore."
Pablo Hidalgo Response - "Not entirely true. But the treatments as they were pretty much disregarded the EU, which was to be expected.”
~ 2018
https://ibb.co/Dz7qhTB
........
Commentor - 'Thank You for the clarification, might I ask if you ever recieved any direction that George Lucas with the number of children the Solos had as depicted in the EU?'
Pablo Hidalgo - "All I meant is his starting point for this Trilogy didn't have Jacen, Jaina, and/or Anakin."
Commentor - 'Was there Ben Skywalker?'
Pablo Hidalgo - "There was not."
https://ibb.co/JH2Y8tg
.................
Question -  "My question is, *what did George's treatments for 7 look like? I would love to see if they fit the EU."
Answer [Pablo Hidalgo]- "They did not. For instance, there was no Jaina, Jacen, or Anakin."  ~ 2017
https://ibb.co/N7HKCsF
Tumblr media
................
Pablo Hidalgo - "Jacen and Jaina never existed in George's storytelling, even in treatment form."
Comment Response - "And about Mara Jade?"
Pablo Hidalgo - "No. George never thought of Mara as being part of his universe either."
~ 2016 https://ibb.co/YLHk6Ft

..
"There was no Ben Skywalker in George's Universe. He came from the NJO team." ~ Pablo Hidalgo 2016

................
"Question from Today, but I thought this was pretty well known. George Lucas never considered Jacen, Jaina, or Mara Jade as part of his universe."
~ Pablo Hidalgo May 2016 https://ibb.co/VDX2qvY
....
"But anyway Luke in exile predates TLJ by a long time and came from someone who can very happily and rightly supersede anyone's feedback :)"
~ Pablo Hidalgo https://ibb.co/sKZnWKk
[Luke was in something of a self imposed exile on an Island in Lucas Sequel Trilogy which is something that Disney ripped off from Lucas’s Sequel Trilogy. Pablo is referring to Lucas in this quote.]
..
"Luke was training a new generation of Jedi, it all went wrong because of 1 boy, and he's the 'Jedi killer' - that's the source.”
~ Pablo Hidalgo, 2016 https://ibb.co/JjYtGtf
[The source being George Lucas sequel trilogy treatments he made in 2011 and ended up selling to Disney later. Something else Disney ripped off from Lucas’s Sequel trilogy.] ..
Pablo Hidalgo -   "George's starting point for 7 had no Jaina, Jacen, Anakin and Chewie never died. So yeah."
[Reply] - "Could we please send this to every EU purist we know?"
[Other replyer] "They wont care."
[First Replyer] "They will after what Hidalgo just said after this."
[Pablo Hidalgo] - "No, they won't. You can't correct the internet. The info's out there. They've made up their minds."
https://ibb.co/mXGX0Qn
..
Pablo Hidalgo - "But there was no sequel trilogy at that time."
Commenter 1 -
'Also, Lucas' Treatment of EP VII did not have the twins born in the Thrawn Trilogy'.
Pablo Hidalgo - "It didn't have twins."
Commenter 2 -
'You're referring to the treatment Lucas sold Disney in 2012. I guess plans changed.'
Pablo Hidalgo - "Or were defined. Jacen and Jaina were never part of George's story. They were Tim's [Zahn] invention."
~ Pablo Hidalgo Q&A

Here’s what George said about them during an interview with James Cameron for his The Story of Science Fiction project.
“Back in the day, I used to say ultimately what this means is we’re just cars, vehicles, for the Whills to travel around in…. We’re vessels for them. And the conduit is the midi-chlorians. The midi-chlorians are the ones that communicate with the Whills. The Whills, in a general sense, they are the Force.
All the way back to — with the Jedi and the Force and everything — the whole concept of how things happen was laid out completely from [the beginning] to the end. But I never got to finish. I never got to tell people about it.
If I’d held onto the company I could have done it, and then it would have been done. Of course, a lot of the fans would have hated it, just like they did Phantom Menace and everything, but at least the whole story from beginning to end would be told.”

As part of the book Star Wars Archives: Episodes I-III: 1999–2005, author Paul Duncan interviewed George Lucas. During this interview, George talked more about his plans for the sequel trilogy.
Tumblr media
Paul Duncan: What about the stormtroopers? They look robotic, but they’re not.
Tumblr media
George Lucas: How do you know what they are?
Paul Duncan: Did you have a different idea of what they were?
George Lucas: Yeah, they started out as clones. Once all the clones were killed, the Empire picked up recruits, like militia. They fought, but they weren’t very good at what they did.
Tumblr media
Paul Duncan: That’s why they kept missing.
George Lucas: That’s why they kept missing. Then after the Rebels won, there were no more stormtroopers in my version of the third trilogy.
I had planned for the first trilogy to be about the father, the second trilogy to be about the son, and the third trilogy to be about the daughter and the grandchildren. [There was only one, Ben Solo, another Disney rip off.]
Episode VII, VIII, and IX would take ideas from what happened after the Iraq War. “Okay, you fought the war, you killed everybody, now what are you going to do?” Rebuilding afterwards is harder than starting a rebellion or fighting the war. When you win the war and you disband the opposing army, what do they do? The stormtroopers would be like Saddam Hussein’s Ba’athist fighters that joined ISIS and kept on fighting. The stormtroopers refuse to give up when the Republic win.
They want to be stormtroopers forever, so they go to a far corner of the galaxy, start their own country and their own rebellion.
There’s a power vacuum so gangsters, like the Hutts, are taking advantage of the situation, and there is chaos. The key person is Darth Maul, who had been resurrected in The Clone Wars cartoons — he brings all the gangs together.
Tumblr media
Paul Duncan: Was Darth Maul the main villain?
Tumblr media
George Lucas: Yeah, but he’s very old, and we have two versions of him. One is with a set of cybernetic legs like a spider, and then later on he has metal legs and he was a little bit bigger, more of a superhero. We did all this in the animated series, he was in a bunch of episodes.
Darth Maul trained a girl, Darth Talon [The only thing from the EU in Lucas’s Trilogy, but it wasn’t even really her, just had the same look and name, completely different background. She wasn’t even born yet at that time frame in the comics]., who was in the comic books as his apprentice. She was the new Darth Vader, and most of the action was with her. So these were the two main villains of the trilogy. Maul eventually becomes the godfather of crime in the universe because, as the Empire falls, he takes over.
The movies are about how Leia — I mean, who else is going to be the leader? — is trying to build the Republic. They still have the apparatus of the Republic but they have to get it under control from the gangsters. That was the main story.
Tumblr media
It starts out a few years after Return of the Jedi and we establish pretty quickly that there’s this underworld, there are these offshoot stormtroopers who started their own planets, and that Luke is trying to restart the Jedi. He puts the word out, so out of 100,000 Jedi, maybe 50 or 100 are left. The Jedi have to grow again from scratch, so Luke has to find two- and three-year-olds, and train them. It’ll be 20 years before you have a new generation of Jedi.
Tumblr media
By the end of the trilogy Luke would have rebuilt much of the Jedi, and we would have the renewal of the New Republic, with Leia, Senator Organa, becoming the Supreme Chancellor in charge of everything. So she ended up being the Chosen One.”
George also expanded on Midi-chlorians:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“This is the cosmology. The Force is the energy, the fuel, and without it everything would fall apart. The Force is a metaphor for God, and God is essentially unknowable. But behind it is another metaphor, which fits so well into the movie that I couldn’t resist it.
Midi-chlorians are the equivalent of mitochondria in living organisms and photosynthesis in plants — I simply combined them for easier consumption by the viewer. Mitochondria create the chemical energy that turns one cell into two cells.
I like to think that there is a unified reality to life and that it exists everywhere in the universe and that it controls things, but you can also control it. That’s why I split it into the Personal Force and the Cosmic Force. The Personal Force is the energy field created by our cells interacting and doing things while we are alive. When we die, we lose our persona and our energy is assimilated into the Cosmic Force.
If we have enough Midi-chlorians in our body, we can have a certain amount of control over our Personal Force and learn how to use it, like the Buddhist practive of being able to walk on hot coals.”
And the Whills:
Tumblr media
“The Whills are a microscopic, single-celled lifeform like amoeba, fungi, and bacteria. There’s something like 100,000 times more Whills than there are Midi-chlorians, and there are about 10,000 times more Midi-chlorians than there are human cells.
The only microscopic entities that can go into the human cells are the Midi-chlorians. They are born in the cells. The Midi-chlorians provide the energy for human cells to split and create life. The Whills are single-celled animals that feed on the Force. The more of the Force there is, the better off they are. So they have a very intense symbiotic relationship with the Midi-chlorians and the Midi-chlorians effectively work for the Whills.
It is estimated that we have 100 trillion microbes in our body and we are made up of about 90% bacteria and 10% human cells. So who is in service to whom? I know this is the kind of thing that fans just go berserk over because they say, “We want it to be mysterious and magical”, and “You’re just doing science.” Well, this isn’t science.
This is just as mythological as anything else in Star Wars. It sounds more scientific, but it’s a fiction.
It’s saying there is a big symbiotic relationship to create life, and to create the Force, but if you look at all the life-forms in the universe, most of them are one-celled organisms. I think of one-celled organisms as an advanced form of life because they’ve been able to travel through the universe. They have their own spaceships — those meteorites that we get every once in a while. They’ve been living on those things for thousands of years, they’ve been frozen, unfrozen, and can survive almost anything.
The one-celled organisms have to have a balance. You have to have good ones and bad ones otherwise it would extinguish life. And if they go out of balance, the dark side takes over.”
..................................................................................................................
Obviously there is the older information that’s already been out there, I just wanted to share some of the newer information that has come to light. I’m sure in time we will learn more.
