Sunset is probably the most popular subject among people. I mean, the general public, not those who are into photography. On social media, there are always many likes under every such photo, no matter how poor and uninteresting it may be. What matters is the sunset. Half of the frame can be completely black, a crooked horizon, lack of composition, mess in the middle. Sunset - that's a good photo. Heck! Outstanding. A similar effect is only achieved with black and white photography. Because you know, if something is black and white, it's artistic, period!

Of course, I'm joking a bit because the level of awareness is rising. Perhaps it's also a regional problem. Education in the visual arts in Poland hasn't been at a high level. But everything is changing. Besides, there's no need to be too snobbish. Everyone has their own preferences. Moreover, it's a very philosophical discussion. Whose taste is better? Is what I like good? We can argue about it. However, I won't dwell on this topic any further in this post. I wish you all a nice weekend.

[PL] Zachód słońca to chyba najpopularniejszy temat wśród ludzi. Mam na myśli ogół a nie tych co zajmują się fotografią. W mediach socjalnych zawsze jest dużo polubień pod każdym tego typu zdjęciem, nie ważne jak słabym i nieciekawym. Ważne, że zachód. Pół klatki może być całkowicie czarne, krzywy horyzont, brak kompozycji, sraka na środku. Zachód słońca - to jest dobre zdjęcie. Ba! Wybitne. Podobny efekt ma tylko fotografia czarno-biała. Bo wiadomo, że jak coś jest czarnobiałe to jest artystyczne i basta!

Trochę się oczywiście wyzłośliwiam bo poziom świadomości rośnie. Być może jest to też problem regionalny. Edukacja w zakresie sztuk wizualnych w Polsce nie stała na wysokim poziomie. Wszystko się jednak zmienia. Ponad to chyba, nie ma co też za nadto snobować. Każdy ma jakieś swoje upodobania. Z resztą jest to bardzo filozoficzna dyskusja. Czyj gust jest lepszy? Czy dobre jest to co mi się podoba? Można się spierać. Nie będę jednak dalej dywagował na ten temat w tym poście. Miłego weekendu wam życzę.

I sold my camera (plus some other camera stuff) and got a new one in return and I am in love with the new way better autofocus. It has animal eye tracking!
