[EN] Spending long hours at work, I sometimes glance out the window. I watch people taking their smoke breaks.

Two ladies from social services come out regularly. The girls from the bakery — first time I’ve seen them.

Have you ever wondered how many times someone took your photo without you having the slightest clue?

I once took a friend to Gdańsk for a photo event. Later, she sent me photos. Photos of me. Of her getting into my car. Of us driving off.

Turns out her husband had hired a private investigator to follow her. They were in the middle of a divorce. She wanted to leave. He wanted the court to declare it was her fault.

It was a strange experience — seeing all that afterward. But hey, that’s life.

Someone’s always watching. Even when you have no idea.

Does it matter? Most of the time — probably not. Unless someone wants to use it against you.

In the end, the PI didn’t follow us to Gdańsk. And he wouldn’t have caught any steamy hotel room scenes anyway — there weren’t any.

But I do wonder how he would’ve handled that kind of assignment. I was seriously impressed. Middle of the day, city center — he knew where to be, at what time, in what spot — and stayed completely out of sight.

[PL] Spędzając długie godziny w pracy, czasami spoglądam przez okno. Obserwuję ludzi, którzy robią sobie przerwę na papierosa.

Dwie panie z GOPSu wychodzą regularnie. Dziewczyny z piekarni widziałem pierwszy raz.

Zastanawialiście się kiedyś, ile razy ktoś zrobił wam zdjęcie, a wy nie mieliście o tym pojęcia?

Ja kiedyś zabrałem koleżankę do Gdańska na event fotograficzny. A potem ona wysłała mi zdjęcia. Zdjęcia mnie. Jak ją odbieram. Jak wsiadamy razem do samochodu. I tak dalej.

Jej mąż wynajął detektywa, żeby ją śledził. Byli w trakcie rozwodu. Ona chciała odejść. On chciał orzeczenia o jej winie.

Bardzo dziwnie było to wszystko potem obejrzeć. No ale co? Takie jest życie.

Ciągle ktoś nas obserwuje. Nawet wtedy, gdy nie mamy o tym pojęcia.

Jakie to ma znaczenie? W większości przypadków — pewnie żadne. Chyba że ktoś chciałby nam zaszkodzić.

Ostatecznie detektyw nie pojechał za nami do Gdańska. Gorących scen łóżkowych i tak by nie uwiecznił — bo ich nie było.

Ciekawy jestem jednak, jak poradziłby sobie z takim zadaniem. Byłem pełen podziwu, że w biały dzień, w centrum miasta, wiedział gdzie być, o której porze, w jakim miejscu — i pozostał niezauważony.

[EN] This week was all about moose. We went on a lot of walks and ran into them often.

Next week will probably be more family-oriented — you know, Easter and all.

This morning started with a headache, which isn’t great. I'm off to try and ease it a bit.
