Childhood:

"Mongrel" isn't his real surname. When he was 11, Chris discovered himself at the doorway to a muggle charity school, a typical so-called bluecoat school in those times where orphans and kids from poor families lived and got educated (if they were lucky to get a place there). He didn't remember how he ended up there, how he got the fresh scar on his face, where he had lived before, who his parents were, not even his surname.

A local boy passing by mentioned to Chris that weird kids with mental problems would never be accepted to any school, where there's not enough space even for "normal" children, and the best place for them is living on the streets or in workhouses. Chris didn't know if it was true but decided not to reveal to anyone that he didn't remember anything, just in case.

The school's headmaster, a man with a strange, absent-minded expression (he was under the Imperius Curse), expected the new student to arrive that day. When Chris was asked his full name, he made up his surname promptly, saying the first word that crossed his mind. It was from the phrase the boy had told him, "Y'know, nobody wanna deal with mental mongrels like you."

A bit later, Chris realised that some snippets of his childhood were still tucked away in his memory: the precious and warm moments with his father, a muggle professor at Oxford University. Nevertheless, Chris didn't remember his name or what had happened to him. His dad sometimes spoke with him in a foreign language. For example, Chris remembered that ‘misha’ meant an affectionate version of the word ‘bear’.

Relationships:

★Before he arrived at Hogwarts (and some time after), he had been struggling with insomnia and nightmares, especially the repetitive ones about an unfamiliar (or not?) boy with cloudy eyes. The dragon attack was, of course, a shocking experience for Chris, but when he first entered the Slytherin common room, he was even more stunned to meet a person who resembled the constant participant of his nightmares, though 4-5 years older.

★Chris and Ominis didn't get along at first. Or, more precisely, Ominis was hostile towards the new fifth-year. So even when he had to mention Chris to Sebastian, for example, he called him anything but by name. He could say "that walking magnet for troubles", "your accomplice", "your new best friend" (with some extent of sarcasm in his voice) or "the neophyte". It took him a while to address Chris by name for the first time.

★Eventually, they became very close. During the 7th year, Ominis developed romantic feelings for Chris but kept it a secret for many years because he was aware of Chris' asexuality (which turned out to be demisexuality later). Chris realized that his feelings towards Ominis had evolved beyond platonic only in their late 20s.

★For quite a long time after Chris arrived at Hogwarts, he mostly avoided people, trusting no one. Sebastian seemed friendly, but Chris was sure that it was only because of his ancient magic abilities, which possibly were a key to saving Anne. It took him some time to realise that Sebastian was actually a friend, not just someone he was hanging out with due to win-win cooperation.

★Before Chris could finally open up to Sebastian and Ominis, his only friend was a wolf that he named Misha (because it was huge and more resembled a bear than a wolf). Chris stumbled upon him in the Not-So-Forbidden Forest. The wolf was seriously wounded after a fight with a dugbog but still tried to attack the boy, who wanted to help. Dealing with animals and beasts was really not Chris' cup of tea, and he was annoyed by the irrational creature, which did everything to prevent its own rescue. But eventually, they got along, Misha recovered, and he would even start running to meet Chris whenever he entered the forest.

★Chris became good friends with Amit. He admired Amit’s thirst for knowledge, enthusiasm for researching his areas of interest and the ability to say no to things that make him uncomfortable.

★Professor Fig was the first person Chris opened up to. One of the most profound regrets in Chris' life was his inability to muster the courage to call Fig 'Dad' while he was still alive. After Fig's passing, Chris withdrew further into his shell, isolating himself even from Ominis and Sebastian.

★Chris contributed to making the Keepers' Wand with Olivander, offering what little help he could. Later, during the 6th and 7th years, Chris worked part-time for Olivander, mostly as an errand boy. He really enjoyed the job and became interested in crafting wands. Olivander helped Chris get over Fig's death.

Some facts:

★Before Hogwarts, Chris had never participated in magic duels. In fact, he didn’t even know that magic existed, being very sceptical about it when Fig first told him about Hogwarts. But anyway, he had to hone his reflexes in the frequent scuffles at the charity school, full of boys with behaviour problems.

★No matter the weather, he often feels cold, which makes him favour sweaters. When he was a student, his clothes, like most of his belongings, were quite shabby due to his extreme lifestyle and orphanhood. Besides, even when he earned some money by running errands like potion deliveries and later working for Olivander, buying new clothes was always his least priority.

★Having all the extra assignments and schoolwork to catch up on, he always tries to push himself to the limit, sometimes neglecting to sleep. Due to his low self-worth, he feels he must do the maximum to prove to himself that he matters like others. He’s either the best or nothing. He doesn’t value his life at all, which, together with adrenaline addiction, makes risking it daily easier.

★He can forget to sleep but tries not to miss meal times as he was often hungry in the charity school. Not a picky eater.

★When he's nervous, he uses humour as a defence mechanism. While sometimes it helps to discharge tension, it can also be not appropriate at all.

★He can easily break the rules if the pros outweigh the cons.

★The Sorting Hat doubted whether to place him in Ravenclaw or Slytherin, but settled on the latter. Maybe the idea of sorting a guy with the last name ‘Mongrel’ into Slytherin of all places seemed funny to it, idk. But Chris can defend himself, anyway - he's used to it.

★He isn't the type of person who says "I love you." often, but even if he does, it may sound like,

"I think I love you."

"You…think?"

"Well, all the symptoms confirm the diagnosis".

★He had a hard time learning how to deal with emotions and feelings, mostly "postponing" them to process later. Though he rarely shows affection, it doesn't mean he isn't capable of it, but it takes him much time to open up to someone.

★He can be manipulative and cunning with strangers but becomes a different person with close people, trying to be as honest as possible. Able to admit when he's wrong. Prone to unnecessary self-sacrifices when it comes to those he holds dear.

This is random, but:

I checked Dottore's profile on the pdb site a few days ago and read some of the things people wrote regarding his ennea and mbti. I felt a bit perplexed because it just seems like they were thinking of Omega and not Dottore himself; everyone seemed to be describing the selfish, arrogant and cocky Omega, instead of the man sitting in Snezhnaya and using his segments to complete his work for him so that he can focus on whatever he wants to. That said, I know nothing about mbti (I only really care about my own personality type ngl), so if you have any opinions on Dottore's enneagram and personality type, please share your thoughts! I'm very curious.

Also: do you think he seeks knowledge because he is a hedonist or because he uses it to create a better understanding of the world for himself?

please share what new insights you have on 9s :) i find it hard to recognize 9s who are high energy like karl jacobs and tubbo especially

It’s the high-energy thing I've been grappling with recently, actually! It used to trip me up too, usually my bindspot would be the higher energy 9w1s / when they’re generally in manic-workaholic mode (compared the humble minecraft builder slow and steady tinkering), because that tends to be the opposite of what most profiles would expect.

At the core of most enneagram types usually sits a paradox or two that they swing on, although they’re endlessly multi-faceted on top of that. Sixes get a fear / bravery split, Fives get being real smart / not knowing a dang thing (/j), and Nines get inertia / flow-state-workaholism.

High-energy Nines have the workaholic streak of Threes in that they’re inclined to hustle to buy their ticket into the world, socially, systemically or interpersonally. (The difference between this and Three integration is how much consideration they give to what they’re doing, or if the work is just what happens to be in front of them / given to them at the time, as they can struggle to say ‘no.’) They meld with people, but they also meld with workflows, easing into a slipstream of goals and tasks and doing.

High-energy Nines seem to have a hard time pulling themselves out of the flow state, and can struggle with flowing from thing to thing if they’re stressed or disoriented. It’s a bit of an ADHD caricature at times (regardless if they have it or not) because they can move from distraction to distraction by accidentally putting equal weight on all possibilities and getting lost in the sauce because of it.

I was kind of resigned to assuming that I would never really intuitively understand what ‘a fear of disconnection’ meant, because according to The Scrolls I’m one of the most naturally remote people out there and threatening me with time separate from the world is like threatening me with a vacation. What I needed to tap into was their drive for feeling and being felt by the world in a grounded way, stimulation itself, something a bit more in the vein of effectiveness.

Nines tend to believe in their own natural irrelevance (as an ego) in the flow of life. Sometimes it bothers them, sometimes they’re at peace with it– it’s not a fully rational belief, but it’s how they experience themselves and how they sometimes experience others experiencing them. They can be a bit melty at the edges, taking on the perspective of others because they’re magnetized to that outside input to some degree. Some of them can be very naturally selfless and invest in other people both for their own enjoyment and to go along with something that feels like it has gravity, pulling them into that slipstream again.

On the flip side, it can also give them a complex to try and make up for their sense of irrelevance, to try to build or find something to hold onto so they’re not lost to the void of the world and their own psyche. Of all the things it took me way too long to understand, this one is pretty high on the list– what can feel like a life-or-death scrape to feel connected to something (without being fully consumed by it, a thing that some of them might think they want but tend to burn out on.) Because they feel like the tether they’re grasping is so thin, some of them can feel very easily undermined or discouraged. If you take into account the wings delegating how anger goes, you might get a dismissive or bullish Eight wing or a sharp and obsessively self (and other) critical One wing. You might also start to deal with jealousy and envy as they decide that certain things overshadow them naturally or are out of their reach on a count of who they are. Can easily become resentment if they lean into learned helplessness, or thinly veiled passive aggression if they’re trying to be competitive and play peacemaker at the same time.

That’s a bit of the worst-case scenario, though. Most Nines ‘arrive’ fairly gently, but this accounts for the fringe Nines that almost show up with a vengeance– super amped up and eager to hustle out loud in a way that one usually doesn’t expect from Nines. (But it does come out in little ways in even the milder cases– a covert competitive streak seems to be a guilty pleasure if you put certain games in front of them. They like mastery as much as anyone if the mood is right.)

If they choose to burn the fuel of “I want to be something to someone / the world” they can naturally turn this energy into an altruistic ambition to have an effect on the lives of the people around them in a positive way. Choosing one particular path might be the hard part, but natural flexibility can back them up as they find their way there.

Muffins Ennea ADDENDUM:

I wasn’t planning on making a follow-up to that post, but mama/dada’s got some ideas cooking. Mama? Dada? What’s the non-binary version of mama? Nvm, it would sound cringe. I think I’d rather misgender myself than call myself a ‘zaza’ lmao. 😭

Anyway, that post was kinda dogshit. I mean, I stand by a lot of what I said, but I also don’t. So, this is my full personality profile of the bakers!

So, let’s go over the conclusions I made last time:

Pinkie Pie: Enneagram 7w6 with a SP instinct.

Inkie Pie: Enneagram 8w7 with a SX instinct?

Minkie Pie: Enneagram 4w5 with a SO instinct.

Blinkie Pie: Enneagram 4wX with a SX instinct.

Apple Bloom: “IT GOT ERASED AGAIN. APPLE BLOOM SO3.”

Derpy: “DERPY SX7/IDK FUCKING SP6 IDC.”

I don’t agree with all of these anymore, but I stand by the fact Minkie and Pinkie are probably enneagram 4 and 7. I’m not entirely sure of Minkie’s instinct.

In this post, I am going to be breaking down EVERY piece of EVERY characters typology. Maybe I’ll even go into the victims typology in the story? Prolly not.

Minkie Pie 🥧

MBTI: ISFP

After some consideration, I decided Minkie Pie is probably an INFP. And it seemed the consensus on PDB was much the same, which made me immediately reconsider. Just kidding. So, my reasoning is that she is an obvious Fi dom. There’s little question there. Genuinely not understanding how someone thought she was a Fe aux. But the question remains about Ne vs Se.

Minkie has a lot of creative, but practical ideas. And I wouldn’t say she has more ideas than she can execute, nor is she stuck ‘in her imagination.’ So, I can definitely see a Se argument. However, she dwells on the past a lot, which is why FiSi makes more sense than FiNi. In her LARS, I mean, Mad Madusings, she constantly compares her past to the present. She does this to prove some sort of overarching idea, which could be FiNi, but hmmm… her ability to “just know lies” is also very FiNi. I’m torn. Actually, I think I’m going to go with IXFP. She’s clearly a Xe aux. Kidding. INFP makes sense. But ISFP also makes sense especially when in her mad musings she always makes conclusions about people based on past experience to form some sort of archetype of person. Which is Ni…

Ni can look like Si, but Si is more routine based than Ni. I’m gonna go with ISFP for now.

Enneagram: 4w5 (so/sx/sp blind)

Enneagram so4w5 seems right, but I’m also open to sx4. Though, Minkie doesn’t particularly seem envious of others as like, an overarching trait. She just seems pissed at the world. I suppose that could be sx4. I’m a little torn.

Also holy shit, my Ne brain just realised The Game. Minkie’s life is like a video game, trying haurd to beat the stage.

Anyway, I don’t know tbh. Sx4 makes senseeee, but Sx4 is shameless. Minkie is not. Unhealthy so4, ig.

Tritype: 459.

Minkie is obviously a so4, but what about her tritype? Well, because I think she’s a 4w5, her head type is 5w6. Her gut type then, is probably 9w8. I don’t have much good reasoning.

AHH. I hate socionics. I really do. Because I don’t understand it, so it’s bad. Jk. Uh, so, I don’t know. I’m going to go with uh ESI but I can also seen an argument for anything because idk lol.

Blinkie Pie 🥧

Blinkie SX4 is something I stand by. It makes the most sense for her character. She’s probably a sx4w3, as she’s focused on accomplishment and ‘authenticity.’ Her tritype is harder to crack down. She doesn’t seem like a very intellectually driven type, but she does value community ‘at least if we were all locked away, we’d have each other.’ Which is an argument for 6, however… I don’t know. Probably 468. Her MBTI… ah god. Okay, so, unlike that one Deviantart post, I am going to go out on a whim and say she’s probably not an ESTJ. Cognitively extroverted 4 is pretty weird. I’m completely unsure of her MBTI. She has values, but they’re influenced from her friends and father. But Fe anywhere in her stack is weird. ISTJ could work? In Inkie’s Stellar Obsession, she spends the whole time telling Inkie how ridiculous her idea is. Granted, it’s also because she doesn’t like Stella (Fi) but still. ISTJ 4 is uh… weird. So maybe ISFP? I know I’m switching stacks but ugh. I don’t know. Te-Fi is obvious. Si-Ne and Se-Ni I’m more confused about. Maybe Se? She’s very practical. ISFP is the best guess I can give. Inkie, a character I wasn’t sure about. I’m still not convinced she’s an 8. She could be a 9. But she doesn’t seem to struggle with self-inertia.

“Ah, Marblestone "Inkie" Pie... what a Sugarcube. Inkie is the second oldest of the four pie sisters, though she grew up as the oldest since Minkie had not been found yet. she is often very honest, but if you are not on her good side, her honesty is blunt and very insulting. she speaks in a firm, low voice, and is very confident. she seems very proud, holding her head up high and walking with a strut. she has heavy lidded eyes, and her smile can be quite intimidating and frightening, even when she tries to act casual. inkie is a natural born leader, and has been known to be the "protective" pony of the group, and makes a majority of decisions. sometimes she gets pissy when her decisions are shot down, but this never lasts long when it comes to her friends and sisters. Inkie has the ability to love as strong as her ability to hate. she often uses pet names toward her friends and sisters, such as "hunny," "sweety," "sweeatheart," "love," "dear," and many others. she'll address her sisters as "dear sister" when being reassuring toward them. since inkie and Blinkie are the sisters that have spent the most time together, they seem very in tune to each other, thinking along the same lines and coming to similar conclusions. So, what we can learn from this is that Inkie is honest, blunt and confident. She’s proud, protective and a natural born leader. She makes the decisions for the group and doesn’t like her ideas being shut down, but she doesn’t care if it’s her sisters. Inkie has the ability to love just as much as she hates, which completely goes against the idea that she views other ponies aside from her sisters as toys and not something to love/hate but I digress.

In the actual story, Inkie displays these behaviours several times. This leads me to believe she could be an 8 or 9, but which?

Well, Inkie doesn’t value peace, come to think of it, so she’s likely an 8w9. I still say 8w9 > 8w7 because she’s much calmer than other wings. I view wings more as flavouring than having to match up 100%. So, I’m leaning 8w9. Actually, I think 8w7 makes more sense… she doesn’t have much 9 qualities.

So, what instinct? I still stand by sx/sp 8. So sx8 then.

Tritype: 874

We know her core type (gut) is 8, and I’d imagine she struggles the least with shame. So, we need to figure out her head type. She could be a 5, as she doesn’t seem to struggle with any of the anxiety 6’s do, but 7 is also likely. She’s an unconventional 7 if so, but still. She’s probably 874. But I can see 854. I should probably make my mind up though. Hmm… 874.

Besides, it doesn’t make much sense to have your wing not be your fix. It’s not impossible but me.

MBTI: ESFP

Okay, so, I’m going with Se-Ti here. You might be wondering why, but it’s actually very simple. When going into typing characters, I always assume they’re a sensor until proven otherwise. However, I don’t let myself get biased. I was sure Inkie would turn out to be an intuitive. However, re-reading, Inkie is actually very grounded in reality. She isn’t creative, more of a ‘technical thinker’ as she says and focuses on the present moment. She also makes decisions primarily based on what she wants, her own ‘values.’ Values don’t always have to be moral, and she’s a clear example of that. She values her sisters, but not other people, hence why she protects them but dismisses the other. I just can’t see Fe-Ti or Ne-Si.

Big five: SCUEN.

Might seem weird, but Inkie actually does tend towards the calm side of things. She goes into things with little plan when her sisters aren’t around, and egocentric is a no brainer. N is self explanatory; I is usually more of an experience seeker.

Temperament: Choleric-sanguine is the closest fit to her. You may argue phlegmatic but she does not try to serve others in the slightest lmao. She’s selfish.

Oh, fun fact, “yup! i like to think that there's something running in the family. pinkie is bipolar, inkie is scitzophrenic (sp?), and blinkie has bordeline personality disorder XD” Where do we get any idea of that in the story, through their behaviour? Nowhere.

Also, despite Inkie knowing her actions are wrong, and the others, Rei said this regarding Derpy: “she doesn't think it's wrong. none of them do. you gotta put yourself in the shoes of a sociopath; they each may have different reasons why they think the way they do, but when your brain works in this fashion, your view of the world is warped.”

Alright! Let’s go back to this! Reminder that I am ONLY talking about Muffins Pinkie Pie here, and not MLP Pinkie Pie, who is very different from Muffins Pinkie Pie. So, I don’t think my typing was wrong at all. But I’ve been considering 8 for Pinkie. However, I’m not sure if she’s 7w8 or 8w7. I think Pinkie starts off as a 7w8 but Reitanna randomly decides to make her a megalomaniac. So, it’s complicated.

8’s don’t like vulnerability, but Pinkie doesn’t care. In fact, she’ll use her vulnerability to manipulate Apple Bloom in Silence Is Silver. So, that rules 8 out.

That being said… well, we’ll cross tritype when we get there.

So, I stand by her being a sp7w8. You might think Pinkie is too pessimistic to be an 8, but she isn’t a pessimist. An edgelord, but not a pessimist. She only confronts her dark attitude in life when literally being sentenced to death.

I think Pinkie is a textbook 782, and I’ll explain why. I was inclined to say 728 but I think she struggles with shame the least. She is very aggressive in getting what she wants, but she also has a 2 fix because she views her baking as a give and take.

"You do not control lives, Pinkie Pie," Celestia growled lowly, feeling hatred toward the party pony. "And you have caused more sadness than you can even imagine..."

"Have I?" sneered Pinkie. "With all of the cupcakes and pastries I brought to parties? With all of the money I helped bring in when I started working at Sugarcube Corner so that the Cakes found financial stability? To the point where they were able to care for themselves and two brand new foals when they came along?" She suddenly stamped her hoof on the floor, making everypony jump once again. "I know for a fact that every single pony in this room consumed quite a large amount of my special pastries, including you, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna. And I can recall each and every one of your reactions after taking the first bite! You want to know what it was?" Her furious eyes scanned the room as she was met with no response. Then she chuckled lightly. "A smile."

She’s clearly just messing with Celestia, but there is some truth to what she is saying. She clearly views what she’s doing as “good” to a degree because other people like her gifts. 2’s struggle with pride, and because Pinkie thinks she’s helpful, she feels she is entitled to do what she wants. This is a light fix, but still there.

Pinkie Pie also has a need for her cupcakes to be THE BEST, leading me towards a 2w3 > 3w2 fix. Being the BEST isn’t her main goal, but it’s up there.

Oh, fun fact about Fluttershy by the way, Reitanna was considering making her a baker. As a FuckedUp!PinkieShy shipper (like in an AU where they’re both fucked up idk) I would’ve loved that.

Pinkie Pie is probably an ENFP. At first, I considered Se dom, however she is VERY opportunistic and has constant ideas. Who even gets an idea to bake someone because of a cheese grater? Poor writing, or a Ne character? Either way, I think Ne-Si makes more sense than Ni-Se. Pinkie actually does use Si to a degree. She gets enraged when Celestia takes her friends away (even if she did it herself. Hypocrisy!) and also has a very strict schedule on how she does things. Fi > Fe might seem very strange however Fi users can manipulate. Pinkie doesn’t care at all about societal standards. She only keeps up with them to avoid being caught for her crimes. Also, while she hides her depression, it’s mostly to protect herself rather than her sisters. In Twilight’s Fall, she has no problem being pessimistic to her friends and saying horrible stuff.

Apple Bloom:

Oh Apple Bloom- she’s had it rough. Definitely a type. So, for her enneagram… I decided to look at Broken Tiara, as it’s the story I think characterises Apple Bloom the most, and Silence Is Silver. We learn from the former that Apple Bloom struggles with rage and wrath. She wants to cause other people pain because she’s suffered. Apple Bloom self-sabotages in the story, killing her very own big sister but using Pinkie Pie to fill the gap. She destroys her family, because they don’t matter anymore, Pinkie Pie does. She believes killing is her destiny.

Enneagram: sp6w7- explanation below

Reitanna says this about Apple Bloom, “Actually, no, it's nothing physical, it's a trauma model. Apple Bloom had already shown sociopathic traits by joining pinkie in the first place, but what people don't realize is, the actual act does a lot more to the mind than watching someone lose their life. First, with each incident she witnessed, stress and trauma were put on her brain little by little, meaning it was literally breaking her sanity. Once she did it herself, the power of this act traumatized her so severely, it finally broke her sanity. Since she is a child, the effects of this are much more detrimental than to an adult, due to the fact that the brain is still developing. The damage has caused her to develop one or two personality disorders, which is common in trauma models in children. Since she has been treated so kindly by pinkie pie, Apple Bloom's brain associates these acts as good things because she has been shown positive reinforcement by her mentor, therefore, she doesn't comprehend the fact that something bad has happened to her. She is under the assumption that THIS is who she really is because of pinkie's manipulation. This loss of reality makes her, by definition, insane.”

“I can't pinpoint exactly what she has because I would need to look at all of the personality disorders, but she's definitely not sane.”

Personally, I won’t theorise on what personality disorders Apple Bloom could have, as she is still a child, and children usually get diagnosed with conduct disorder rather than ASPD, so I don’t want to speculate too much.

Apple Bloom compartmentalises her empathy and true nature for her trauma and manipulated self. ("Nah," she chuckled, “That wasn't the real me. It never was. This is the real me, the other one was just tryin to keep me locked away.")

She has an obsession with destruction. She refers to wanting to destroy other ponies in Broken Tiara and says the exact same thing in Silence Is Silver when talking about Silver Spoon. She’s also power-driven, much like Pinkie Pie, and wrathful.

In ABGHCM (Apple Bloom Gets Her Cutie Mark) we see more of this behavior repeated. “I think this was all meant to happen. Everything happens for a reason, right? That's why I was the one who volunteered to take you when your number came up."

She justifies it all with it being her destiny. And getting her cutie mark (one of the worst utilising of this plot device ever) helps her solidify this. I sorta have a theory that Pinkie used dark magic or smth to give Apple Bloom that cutie mark to manipulate her further, but that would be silly. Perfect for Muffins, I can’t take a single thing in this story seriously.

Anyway, let’s look at Apple Bloom’s answers. She’s optimistic (believing everything will be okay), loyal, “brave,” condescending, anger driven and spiteful. Things we already knew. Her enneagram being 1 is unlikely, unless she’s a very unhealthy one. 2 isn’t impossible, but she doesn’t seem very heart triad, you know? Probably not a 5. 6, 7, 8 and 9 are on the table. I think 6 is the most likely, and we can rule out 8 and 9. She’s probably a sp6w7.

She doesn’t seem to hide her anger. In fact, she actively goes against Pinkie, but that’s when she’s REALLY pissed off towards Diamond Tiara, not her usual mode. In fact, she seems scared of Pinkie otherwise.

Could be sp7, but I doubt it.

Okay, figuring out her tritype was HELL, but I think I’ve got it down. So, her heart type was the hardest to find, but I think she’s a 3 fix. Why? Because she’s obsessed with getting her cutie mark, as a means of protection (6 core) from her bullies. As for her gut type, I think we can rule out 1, as she doesn’t really care about morality, and 9, because she isn’t conflict-avoiding.

MBTI: ISTP

So, probably a Fe-Ti user, but I can see her Ti being higher than Fe. As for her other functions, I think… Se-Ni? Maybe Ti-Se-Fe-Ni… but that doesn’t FEEL right. That’s ISTP, right? Um…

She uses Ni in ABGHCM when she predicts Applejack will need stronger restraints, and she has very Ni attitudes in life (“this was meant to happen.”

Ni-Fe? INFJ? Unlikely. Her Fe isn’t THAT strong. Tert Fe seems right. ESTP? But E6 is cognitively introverted. She uses a LOT of Ni.

Actually, I can see Fi-Ni for Apple Bloom, but maybe Inferior Fi? No… Tert Fi? What “values” does she have though? Literally none.

ISTP? She’s kinda manipulative, but inferior Fe users still have Fe in their stack. I mean she literally taunts Applejack by saying “One last bit of sisterly bonding, right?”

Derpy!! Our blorbo!! We only have Derpy and Babs left, so let’s start with our autistic little blorbo. So, Derpy was abandoned from a young age, and had no friends. Stumbling across Pinkie’s hobby sort of gave her a connection, or someone to rely on. Sp7 is my first thought, to be honest. Not a 1, 2, 3 and probably not a core 4. We can rule out 5, and 6 is unlikely. Same with 8 or 9. In fact, I’m pretty confident she is a 7. I don’t know her instinct though. Reitanna once said on Twitter Derpy struggles with Gluttony, so…

Probably sp/sx 7w6 (still wary) 741.

Okay, so, I probably have to justify that 1 fix. Derpy is very cautious of making a mistake, so the point where she cries because of it. She’s also under the impression that what she’s doing is morally justified to a degree, “what’s bad for you is good for us,” though that could just be selfishness. Her 1 fix is very light, but I feel like she hates the way she was treated and hates how cruel the world is, despite the fact she is a hypocrite.

Fe is not impossible, but idk if it’s her dominant function, really so. I think she’s an XSFJ, probably ESFJ. And the reasoning is that she’s very empathetic, albeit selectively, and she values her friends happiness over her own. She doesn’t like change very much, like when Pinkie got taken away, and that’s how anyone would react, but she does seem to like feeling safe and structured. She had an adventurous side though (Tert Neh) and uses VERY flawed logic to justify her actions using her inf logic.

She’s probably not a 1, 2, 3 or 4. 4 fix is possible. 7 and 9 is also less likely. 5, 6 and 8 are the main contenders. We can rule out sp6 and so6. I don’t think she’s an 8, as she doesn’t seem to care about control, but protecting herself. So, now we’re torn between 5 and 6. I’m leaning 5? She could also be a 9. No, I think she’s a 5. She’s very obsessed with mindfulness, taming the mind and… she’s also too confident to be a 5. I know, fallacy. But I don’t really understand fives. You’re like aliens.

Born in 1947, Grant is the only child of Oliver and Cecilia Battersea. He grew up in a home full of love, with numerous cousins and extended family. Despite being one of the younger cousins, Grant managed to form good relationships with most of his cousins. He was sorted into Ravenclaw upon starting Hogwarts, just like his father had been. He met his future wife, Janet, at Hogwarts… although their first meeting was purely accidental and they didn’t reconnect until after Hogwarts. Grant was fascinated by his family’s history, from the Wexford earldom on the Battersea side to the murder of his great-grandfather on the Kennedy side. It was this fascination that propelled Grant into a career as an auror, although he spent much of his career researching cold cases as they were the things that fascinated. In 1972, he married Janet Bruce and two years later they welcomed their first child, a daughter they named Aileen. His son, Mark, followed three years later in 1977 with Scott coming two years later in 1980 and Isla being born three years after Scott in 1983. Grant was content with his four children and was beyond relieved when his whole family escaped the second wizarding war unharmed, even though they had spent much of the war in hiding. Grant had helped with coordinating safe houses, though, unable to stand by and watch everyone else do things. The biggest shock came when Janet informed him that she was pregnant for a fifth time in late 1999. Their youngest and fifth child, Luke, was welcomed in July of 2000. Despite the shock, Grant enjoyed being a father again. He enjoyed spending time with his youngest. He just never expected that his time with Luke would be cut short. In late 2006, Grant was murdered alongside his wife and four eldest children. Luke had a good relationship with his father. They had a fairly close relationship and always got along pretty well. Luke doesn’t have many memories of his father, as he was only six when Grant died. He does often wish that he could talk to and just be with his father.

Janet worked as a herbalist, with a tilt towards medicinal herbology. In 1972, she married Grant Battersea and two years later, they welcomed their first child, Aileen Cecilia, in 1974. Born in 1974, Aileen is the eldest child of Grant and Janet Battersea, 26 years older than Luke, and a Ravenclaw. Aileen took her role as the eldest child quite seriously and was always on the serious side. In fact, many would say that she was quite similar in personality to her great-grandfather, Edmund Kennedy. Aileen was both a prefect and headgirl during her tenure at Hogwarts. After Hogwarts, Aileen went on to become a lawyer, fostering her love for doing right. She was engaged when she was murdered in 2006, at the age of 32. However, Aileen died knowing that she had protected her baby brother and had done at least one good thing in her lifetime.

Luke had a good relationship with his oldest sister, although Aileen was the sibling that he spent the least amount of time with. Aileen was the most stunned by the announcement that her parents were pregnant for a fifth time, seventeen years after their youngest child. However, despite her misgivings, Aileen adored Luke and he adored her.

Brother: Mark Dermot Battersea [deceased, 1977-2006]

Born in 1977, Mark is the second child of Grant and Janet Battersea, 23 years older than Luke, and a Gryffindor. Mark was always the most athletic of the four eldest Battersea siblings. He loved everything to do with athletics and he joined the Gryffindor quidditch team as soon as he was able to, earning the position of beater. He also fell in love with the Star Wars movies after seeing Return of the Jedi in theaters, something he would share with his baby brother. After Hogwarts, Mark went on to play beater for the Falmouth Falcons. He was murdered at the age of 29, alongside all of his family aside from his baby brother.

Luke was closest to Mark. They had a lot of similar interests, and Mark earned the spot of favorite sibling by introducing Luke to Star Wars. They often engaged in fake lightsaber duels and Mark just adored his baby brother. Luke adored Mark as well. They loved each other dearly and Luke definitely had some hero worship towards Mark.

Born in 1980, Scott is the third child of Grant and Janet Battersea, 20 years older than Luke, and a Hufflepuff. Scott was the most sociable of the four eldest Battersea siblings, joining multiple clubs including frog choir and the dueling club. Attending Hogwarts in the same year as Harry Potter himself meant that Scott’s years at Hogwarts were a bit chaotic and he wasn’t able to engage in things as much as he would have liked. After graduating Hogwarts, Scott became a journalist. He was inspired by what he had witnessed in his seventh year at Hogwarts and he became quite determined to show the world what was going on beneath the surface. He also began to research the murder of his great-great-grandfather. He was murdered at the age of 26, leaving behind a devastated boyfriend.

Luke had a good relationship with Scott, although they weren’t always the closest. Scott often took Luke on tours of Dublin and London and Edinburgh, showing his baby brother the world. Luke adored his big brother, just not as much as he adored Mark. Scott loved his baby brother.

Sister: Isla Janet Battersea [deceased, 1983-2006]

Born in 1983, Isla is the fourth child of Grant and Janet Battersea, 17 years older than Luke, and a Slytherin. Isla was the quietest of the eldest four Battersea siblings. She preferred to keep to herself and fly under the radar, not drawing any extra attention to herself. Unlike her older siblings, Isla didn’t join any clubs or teams. She kept her head down, listening and observing, filing everything away to showcase in the art that had become her passion. After graduating from Hogwarts, Isla rented a studio space and dedicated her time to the craft of art. She never sold anything in her lifetime and her paintings remained hidden until 15-year-old Luke accidentally discovered her studio. She died at the age of 23.

Luke had a good relationship with his sister, although she remained the most mysterious of his siblings. They didn't spend a ton of time together, although Luke did prove to be Isla's occasional muse. They loved in each other a lot, even though Luke didn’t adore her quite the way he did their older siblings.

Luke’s second cousin once removed, Esmanur was the daughter of his second cousin, Bayezeid Battersea and a woman of high standards, who was used to being treated like royalty. She married businessman Mahmud Parsons and had one daughter, Shreya, with him.

Luke doesn’t have much of a relationship with Esmanur as she doesn’t have much time for anyone besides her daughter and sometimes, her husband. He doesn’t mind, knowing that he doesn’t want someone to replace the family that he had had.

A charged undercurrent of romance seemed to underlie their every interaction and Luke began telling Sophie things that he had never told another person before. Childhood:

Luke Percival Battersea, born July 21, 2000, was the youngest child of Grant and Janet Battersea of Enniscorthy, Ireland. His parents were both around the age of 50. He also joined older siblings Aileen (26), Mark (23), Scott (20), and Isla (17)… who really hadn’t been expecting another sibling as Luke was an oops baby. A wanted oops baby, but an oops baby nonetheless. However, his siblings all slowly began warming up to the idea and all four of them indulged Luke.

The first six years of Luke’s life were stable and happy. In many ways, he was essentially an only child being raised by much older parents and could sometimes get away with a lot. His siblings all indulged him and did things with him that their parents would not have liked. The most important thing that his siblings did was when his big brother, Mark, let him watch Star Wars: A New Hope when he was four. From that moment on, Luke was pretty much obsessed with Star Wars, one of the few things that would always give him a sense of happiness and comfort.

However, everything changed one October night in 2006. The whole family had gathered for a small dinner and celebration when the windows blew inwards and a cloaked man appeared. At his parents’ urging, Luke’s eldest sister, Aileen, shut him into a closet with the urging to be quiet and stay put until someone came to get him. That was the last time that Luke saw his parents and siblings. He was found in the closet by aurors, who quickly pieced together that this was the missing Battersea son. Luke was shielded from the scene of his family’s murders and placed into the custody of his aging and widowed maternal grandfather, Angus Bruce.

Nearing ninety, Angus did the best he could with his grieving and orphaned grandson. One of the first things that Angus did was get his grandson a Labrador retriever puppy. Luke named the black lab Chewie, after the Wookiee Chewbacca. Unfortunately, Angus suffered a debilitating stroke and three weeks later, he suffered a second fatal stroke. After that, Luke was placed with Battersea relatives, descendants of his grandfather’s brother, Louis, in London, England for six weeks. Unfortunately, it turned out that one of his cousins was severely allergic to pet dander and thus, Luke was moved to another relative shortly before his seventh birthday.

This time, he was placed in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland with his grandmother’s younger brother, Alfie. Alfie had a strong sense of duty and family, so he had no problem taking in his grandnephew. Alfie, despite having handed out the majority of his possessions to his own children, decided to give Cecelia’s grandson their father’s pocket watch. Luke was shocked to be given the pocket watch and held it close, knowing that there was a history tied to the watch’s owners. Unfortunately, Luke’s time with Alfie was cut short when Alfie found himself falling into a chronic illness. Despite his best efforts, Alfie made the difficult decision to explain to Luke that they couldn’t keep living together. It wasn’t fair to the eight-year-old, who deserved someone who could keep up with him.

After Alfie, Luke was placed with more Battersea descendants, still from his grandfather’s brother, Louis’s family, in Wexford, where the Battersea earldom had once included. Luke spent six months in Wexford, before those Batterseas had to move for their matriarch's career. Next, Luke found himself in Leeds, England with some of his Bruce relatives. They didn’t know what to do with the grieving and angry eight-year-old (and his dog). Within three months they asked for Luke to be placed with someone else. This would, thankfully, be the final placement. Mahmud Parsons and his wife, Esmanur Battersea-Parsons had arranged to take Luke in, despite the distant relationship with Luke being the second cousin of Esmanur’s father and descendants of Luke’s grandfather’s brother, Niall. They had a daughter, Shreya, who was three years older than Luke and made the effort to get to know him. Luke took nearly a year to get fully comfortable with living with the Battersea-Parsons. He kept waiting for the other foot to drop and for something to happen where they decided that they couldn’t do it anymore. Luckily, that never happened and Luke slowly became more and more comfortable.

Hogwarts Years:

Upon starting Hogwarts, Luke was sorted into Gryffindor. He took a while to grow comfortable at Hogwarts, even though he was used to being by himself. It was just that he didn’t have his beloved dog, Chewie, with him and Chewie had been with Luke since his family died. In his third year, Luke made the Gryffindor quidditch team as their new seeker. That same year, Luke also began researching his family’s murders in earnest. It became a somewhat all-consuming search, but after nearly failing multiple assignments, Luke realized that he couldn’t let his search completely consume all his attention.

In his fifth year, Luke formed a friendship with Sophie Pembroke which quickly gained underlying layers of romance. They danced around the romance aspect for nearly a year, even though everyone else knew that Luke Battersea and Sophie Pembroke were in love. They didn’t start dating until the end of their sixth year.

Adulthood:

After graduating from Hogwarts, Luke continued his research into his family’s murders and discovered the connection between their deaths and the death of his great-great-grandfather. He also began to notice similarities in a variety of murders from the 1880s to the 2000s. It all led up to a confrontation between Luke and the cloaked man who had murdered Ferdia Kennedy back in 1891. The cloaked man was killed and a century-long conspiracy was discovered, one that ran deeper than Voldemort or anyone who had come before him.

After finding the truth, Luke didn't know what to do with himself. He put more and more of himself into his relationship with Sophie and with selling Isla Battersea paintings. His career is still TBD

Luke married Sophie on September 25, 2026 in a small ministry ceremony, with her family in attendance and a few of their closest friends. They had two children, twins, together. Their children, Angus John “Gus” and Kennedy Lucretia were born on September 13, 2028.

Old Age:

Luke retired at the age of 102. After his retirement, he spent time helping Sophie pass on her wand making shop and traveling. He spent time with his grandchildren as well.

Death:

Luke passed away at the age of 116, in 2116. He died peacefully in his sleep and left behind two children, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Trivia:

Luke is the great-grandson of Simon Battersea, the last earl of Wexford, and Edmund Kennedy, a former head of the treasury department. Simon’s youngest son, Oliver, married Edmund’s youngest daughter, Cecilia, making them Luke’s paternal grandparents.

Luke first watched the original Star Wars trilogy at the age of 4, courtesy of his big brother, Mark. From that point on, he would run around the house, whacking things with a plastic lightsaber. He also snuck out of Hogwarts to go and see The Force Awakens in December of 2015.
