girl the writers really wrote ep 9 and 10 to make us cry so much. i cant even analyze shit BUT i will compliment somin and haein's acting! they really do have the charm and will immerse you into their characters. the writers really showcased the range both actors have (especially with somin's top tier romcom skills and haein's melodrama side!) i really really enjoyed this weekend's episodes, this kdrama is such a fun watch

Dan Heng Δ Witch Hat Atelier AU (part 2) ⋆｡˚ ⋆

Fleshed out my ideas for this AU a bit more. It's surprising how much of Dan Heng's lore could fit into the Witch Hat universe.

In this AU, Dan Heng is exiled for being an inadequate successor to Dan Feng by those who tatooed the forbidden spell onto his back. Dan Heng only inherited Dan Feng's appearance but not his mastery over magic.

While in exile, Dan Feng's foes in life would hunt down Dan Heng. He never stayed in one location for too long and defended himself with "Cloud Piercer".

Then, he met Himeko, a contraption repair specialist, in a town he drifted into. She introduces Dan Heng to the Astral Express, an atelier on rails she runs alongside Welt and Pom-Pom. Thus, Dan Heng became the Astral Express' first apprentice.

Some context for those who don't read Witch Hat Atelier -

In this world spells are cast by drawing seals on surfaces using special ink, rather than incantation or an individual's inherent magic. The spell takes effect when the outer circle of the seal is closed.

Because of its ease of casting, magic is a closely guarded secret and mostly only taught to those born into witch society.

Any spells that drastically affects the mind, body or environment is forbidden and punishable by memory erasure and exile. Healing magic is considered a huge taboo and is big source of conflict in the story.

Before becoming a full fledged witch, you have to apprentice under a more senior witch.

It is not the first time I am doing it. I might forgot to put "please don't tag it as ship" under my drawing of tighnari cyno. Please, do not !

I love them as best friend, I love them as brother/found family, I don't mind the queerplatonic relationship at all

But their romantic side make me pretty uncomfortable. No hate ! It is my own taste.

Shippers are always welcomed and I am so glad you like my content 💕 but all my art concerning them (unless I tag the ship) are purely platonic. I just ask for some respect of my taste and not reblog my art with the ship tag.

I don't want to block, because I am genuinely glad you enjoy my work and as a young artist, it means a lot for me. Thank you so much 🙇 !! But as a human, I can't deny how uneasy it makes me feel.

I’m ngl I don’t really care about veilguard anymore. like I’m just over it. my tav was the most interesting character in the game because I gave her the worst personality ever but she kinda lives in my brain independently from the rest of the game now. and Neve was my favorite companion but even she has so little content and canon development it’s like ok I’ve seen all there is to see and I don’t feel particularly inspired to go any deeper. I’m over it

Jet-Skiing through Identity: a deep dive into Mobius M. Mobius (part 6) 🚤

So, through the realms of my (personal) analysis, we've come a long way to Mobius's character. From the comedic relief to the deep natural need to care from others, from fear of abandonment to suppresed emotions. But guess what? There's more. There's always more when you really get into it.

I see episode 3 of season 2, "1893" as sort of a calm before the storm : a really sweet time before the rest of the chaos really emerged.

I love how the clothes they are wearing are probably conjured by Loki for them to fit in the time period. This is more of a headcanon, but beside all that chaos, Mobius probably loved it as well.

Here is another gem from this character: although he possesses an effortless charm most of the time, that doesn't equal the actual confidence. Like he's trying to hide the lacks in self esteem with an abundance of showing off. But around his closest confidante, he naturally gets that out, not needing to overthink it anymore: with both confidence and charm. I'm talking about that line:

"I see everything, I notice everything"

which is right before the famous "You've got some Cracker Jack on your chin, what about that?". They really were on a silly little date.

We also get to catch precious moments of Mobius's pure curiosity and opening to the new. I imagine that he also lost some experiences he had with the memory wipe at the TVA, so everyday can be a new gift now that he really gets to do something *else*. That's noticeable when Victor Timely's presentation of The Loom begins, doing an amazing contrast with Loki's more careful behavior.

Not to talk about persuasive: the tandem bike? A classic. I'm not saying Loki wasn't a little compromised by the circumstances, but Mobius made himself pretty clear too!!

And at the end of the episode, I love how he stays behind to look at Ravonna for a little while after Loki exits through the time door. It's not that he doesn't miss his old friend, but he knows better than to try and meddle in her business right now.

In episode 4, "The Heart of the TVA", Mobius's natural kindness is once again an important piece of the game. Him and Loki too try to be gentle with Timely, as they see he is scared and understand he's just a variant, different than He Who Remains.

When they finally get Timely to work to their plan and save the Loom, there it is again: that waiting in uncertainty, the fear of things going south really, really fast. So he does what he's used to: try and have some pie.

Sylvie is obviously disturbed by this, as from her perspective, they should be even more agitated, just like everything else around them. And here's just a part from what she said to Mobius:

"Timelines are just lines on a monitor. Doesn't matter if a few disappear. Because you've never bothered to look if one of them is yours"

This time, Mobius doesn't snap like he did with Brad. Because it isn't coming from one of his coworkers, it's from Sylvie, whom he helped in the past. And in the way she says it, he's more prone to believe her. So he doesn't reciprocate her speech with anger. Why? Because he doesn't deny it; feeling guilty about something automatically implies admitting the other is right. And he doesn't have the strength to fight it anymore. Loki does it for him afterwards in the pie room - as he deserves.

At least he got a hot-cocoa to warm him right back up :))

I realize I've been so flaky with responding to asks, finishing my drawings or fics I promised, etc. I've kind of been drifting in and out of tumblr without interacting much. Real life just finally started, and I need to build up a ton of motivation and find time before I can work on a fandom project. Just wanted to say that I'm still here and still working on stuff, just slowly.
