Andi: He's not only a highly talented ski jumper, he's also a great guy. Very talented sports man, no matter what movement. That's why I'm really happy for him.

Andi: It's more than deserved and we will definitely drink to that.

Pius: I'll definitely have to buy a round of beer for everyone. Any more than that I won't be able to drink anyway.

Last weekend! Final day of the ski season in Engelberg so we decided to go, but the weather was pretty good on Saturday and we knew ski conditions wouldn't be great so we climbed in the valley on Saturday. Two friends spontaneously joined us and we had a lovely first rock sesh of the year (even though I was pretty scared, as usual when I haven't climbed on rock in a while, which is pretty much always in the past few years 😭) (side note: not me in any of the pictures, all my cool friends haha).

Then Ben and I had an amazingly cosy evening in the van - I'm still not used to how fantastic it is in there now 😍 reading in bed felt pretty special that night.

And then the last ski of the season on sunday 😥 sad that the season is over but already looking forward to next winter when, if everything goes to plan, I will be much less stressed and busy and able to do much more skiing and ski mountaineering! Yay. Had a nice day anyway and it felt so good to get an adventure weekend in inbetween all the madness.

Rezeptionsgeschichte, die Geschichte des Verstehens, die ein Werk findet. 1989, 2023 im Selbstversuch. Auf der Rückfahrt von Bonn auf der A1 Thomas Bernards „Die Ursache. Eine Andeutung“, gelesen von Ulrich Matthes. Das Buch hatte ich 1989 in Engelberg gelesen, abends las ich schwanger viele Seiten A. und K. vor. Bernards lange Sätze, deren Aussagen durch Wiederholungen verstärkt werden, die Batterie der Adjektive, die den Effekt der harten Redundanz verstärkt. Studentische Begeisterung. Gefesselt waren wir, im Nebel der 48 %-igen Freiburger Birne, vom großen Bernard illuminiert.

Und heute !? Auf der A2 kurz nach Remscheid, genug vom Österreicher, sein Pathos platt, die Sprache manieriert. Bernards CD raus, „On the beach“ von Neil Young on. Il n'a pas pris une ride!
