The second panel shows Jon sat at his desk with the mug of tea from the first panel in his right hand and papers in his left. He is growing and saying "Martin's such a fucking idiot I hope he dies". It’s very funny to me (and a bit annoying) that Officer Maddie is so scared and shook by the mutilated dolls Jinx made of them, because she's an active participant in chemical warfare.
Which is far more horrifying.

Ambessa when it comes to Maddy: she does bring her up to Caitlyn but quickly drops it because although she's noticed Maddy around, she's also noticed that she isn't quite that distracting and is therefore not a threat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ambessa when it comes to Vi, who she's never met, yet somehow already knows that Caitlyn is in love with and sees her as an immediate threat that needs to be eliminated asap because Vi is the real distraction for Caitlyn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My POINT IS... EVERYONE knows Caitlyn is in love with Vi.
Yes, even Maddie...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Caitlyn doesn't even try to hide it. She made "a scene". I mean come on, you're telling me Maddy didn't figure it out here? And if Maddie knows, then every enforcer knows basically, every council member knew... everyone KNOWS

Dc x Dp Prompt #5
Demon Twin AU only Damian never had a blood son phase and has “biological siblings” (how absurd):
Damian would like to start by saying he is not at fault for this… miscommunication. Truly, how was he to know sharing the same blood as Jasmine and Danyal would make them “siblings”? Not once has anyone mentioned such absurd claims. He has never and will never treat either of the two the way he would Richard or any of his other siblings, but apparently sharing the same donors when being created automatically makes people siblings.
Worse, father is upset at him and mother for “hiding away” two of his “children” from him. Richard and Thomas will not stop staring at him. Todd, Brown, and Drake will not stop laughing. Cassandra has not stopped looking at his body language since this whole encounter started. Alfred is giving him his patented disappointed face he oh so hates but what is he to do?
Damian was not hiding anything or anyone. Jasmine and Danyal have not nor will they ever be his siblings. They are the children of Jack and Maddie Fenton just as Richard and the rest of them are Bruce’s children. Blood has nothing to do with family. They are at best “god-siblings” or “cousins” if father refuses to believe they are simply childhood companions.
There is barely a hint of emotion as father purses his lips while his siblings continue looking on at him in disbelief. Damian is not understanding why they are having trouble comprehending such simple logic. It is common sense to know that siblings are the children at least one of your parents have raised other than yourself. Parents are the people who raise you. Talia raised him therefore she is his mother. He lives with Bruce who is now raising him and therefore he is his father.
Neither Talia nor Bruce raised Jasmine or Danyal, therefore they are not siblings. It is merely coincidence that he shared blood with both Bruce and Talia. After all, every time he’s visited Amity Park, most children look nothing like their parents. How can it not be coincidence when it is clearly far more normal to raise children who don’t share an ounce of blood with you, than those who do.
How can it not be normal when Jack Fenton took Jasmine in so easily knowing he didn’t share any dna with her? Even more so with Danyal who doesn’t share even a drop of blood with either Jack or Maddie. Look at yourself father. Out of all your children, only one shares your dna. Do not try and pin this on Damian for being the only sensible person in this family. Blood siblings, ha, don’t make him laugh.

So I have another post where I talk about how Maddie very clearly lies about why she knew who Vi was when she approached her in episode 1 of season 2 unless Caitlyn had full on described Vi to the Enforcers (She could not see Vi's VI tattoo as she and Steb approached) and in that post I say that it's supremely unlikely that Caitlyn described Vi to the Enforcers
That is ramped up to near certainty she didn't soon after as then the Enforcers at the Memorial might have let Vi through and then maybe the Memorial attack at least would have gone LESS horribly
So really, Caitlyn SHOULD have described Vi to the Enforcers (Really if she had been thinking she would have already known that Vi wouldn't want to join up and that it would take something extreme to convince her, which she had no way of knowing would happen ahead of time, so it probably would have been smarter on her part to not push to give Vi a badge, but instead just set Vi up as someone trusted and who should be listened to), because if they were like "Oh this is that person who Caitlyn arranged to become an Enforcer, we should let her through because obviously she's spotted something important and it's REALLY important that nothing happens here today" (Plus I doubt that ALL the Enforcers changed their opinion of Caitlyn so suddenly, when they clearly didn't think very highly of her before, so if they thought poorly of her they STILL could have allowed Vi through, thinking she was going to cause trouble and thus would knock Caitlyn "down a peg" or whatever to have been so wrong about her)
But yeah, it's fairly clear that Caitlyn didn't describe Vi to the Enforcers (Her physical appearance at least) so again, Maddie knowing who Vi is immediately is a red flag, but really Caitlyn SHOULD have done so'
(Side note, both Steb and Loris likely could have known that Caitlyn didn't describe Vi to the Enforcers and Steb approached with Maddie so he should have been able to tell that Maddie wouldn't have been able to see Vi's face tattoo, did neither of them question her about these things? Because if my coworker walked up to someone and essentially acted like they knew who that person was because of things that I would personally know not to be the case, then I'd very much be like "Hey? What's up with that?")

Maddie Nolen always being a Noxian spy COULD'VE made sense if she wasn't also supposed to be a rookie enforcer. Because plenty of countries IRL have sent spies to other countries, even if they weren't planning to go to war with them. The problem was just how quickly she ingratiated herself into foreign law enforcement when they presumably know she's not a native Piltovan. So it would've been way more interesting if she'd been introduced prior to season 2, as a normal person (perhaps a passing acquaintance of Jayce's prior to his apartment blowing up) who maybe moved there for education or some other cover story.
Like, maybe she was supposed to be a student at the same academy Jayce or Caitlyn goes to (idk if they went to the same one), as, like, a transfer student or on education visa or via scholarship etc. So they know she's from Noxus, but since they're not actively hostile and she's not really being suspicious, no one thinks twice about her. Then, maybe she graduates after act 1 and by act 2, she's now living there for "work"/she decided she liked Piltover so much that she wanted to stay. And again, no one thinks about it because, well, Mel Medarda is Noxian, and she's a councilwoman! What reason would they have to be worried?
So by act 2, she's somewhat-friends with Caitlyn, and maybe pretends she's "inspired" by her to join the enforcers. They're not best friends or anything, but Maddie's persona as "Caitlyn fangirl/admirer" leads to everyone- including Caitlyn- to sort of overlook her. After all, she's been here for YEARS and hasn't seemed to do anything. I'd imagine as a trade port, Piltover has a decent amount of immigration every year anyway. I'd think a good chunk of their population are first-generation immigrants, so they don't think twice about Maddie joining the enforcers.
Then by season 2, she's not necessarily "experienced," but she's been on the force about as long as Caitlyn has (and has known her for even longer), so when Caitlyn pulls a dictator, Maddie ends up as primary advisor and first pick on the strike team. It would also make Caitlyn rebounding with her make more sense- they're not super close or anything, but there's a level of trust there already. It could also help mitigate that power imbalance. It's still there, but this time it's more like "being messy and fucking your friend" than a strictly professional line being crossed (because being friends means they're already past professional).
This way, she doesn't have to be super relevant to the plot prior to season 2, but she doesn't feel out of place, either. You might wonder how and why she'd spy for that long without switching sides/going home/etc., but honestly IRL countries have done weirder shit, especially when it comes to spies. Many have years-long missions. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
Anyway, that's what I think would've made the "betrayal" REALLY stick the landing. Because it wasn't just "my side piece- who I inexplicably trusted for some reason- SHOT me, can you believe it?!" But rather, "Oh, I did NOT see you coming. Et tu, Brute?"

I have an arcane 'hot take'
I wish they ended season two off at the end of act 2—now stay with please just stay with me for a moment!!
just so you know this is a really long rant so i'm sorry in advance, spoilerss ahead ofc!
main focus characters mentioned + timebomb—
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
────────── ⊹ ⊱ ☆ ⊰ ⊹ ──────────
Most of us know (at least i think everyone knows) that arcane was originally supposed to be a five season show, i repeat a five season show. And i really fucking wish they kept it this way, or at least made it a season longer than it ended up being. But don't get me wrong, i'm happy (and maybe a little heartbroken) with the ending we got. I just wish they didn't condense it down into the two seaon show.
In all honesty, It felt a tiny bit rushed. And yes, maybe that was our fault for making so many theories, but either way, they introduced so SO many new themes, for non league players (like myself) an episode or half on magic on it's own, and don't get me started on the new characters. There wasn't enough time to explore all of their backstories, or their motives in only nine episodes. We needed more time, i'm sure we can all agree on that, right? Do you get what i mean?
To get a better idea of what I mean next I’ve provided visual representation, oh yeah
Personally think this would’ve been a pretty good ending for the season. The cliffhanger would leave fans pissed but it would do numbers.
So instead of cramming all of the seasons plots + sub plots into those three acts, they could extend it and explore those points in more detail and depth. We'd be able to develop a much better understanding of those plots.
─────────────────────────
An example of the extended plots i'd like to make clear is Maddie. She was iffy from the start. Sure she was cute and seemed sweet and all, but there was something off about her. And then we learn that she was actually working under Ambessa's wing, fuck we've already missed so much.
Why was she working for Ambessa? Why was she smiling like a bitch when she was abt to shoot Cait? Did she have ulterior motives outside of being a pawn in Ambessa's game? There's other points that i can't think of right now, but there's missing infomation. There is holes.
Then there's Enforcer Vi, Act 2 Caitlyn and Vi. Their arcs in the story were watered down DRASTICALLY. In a simple summary, we witnessed vi become an enforcer, the caitvi get together and divorce in the same episode. Then we saw the start and the end of Caitlyn's dictator arc from the 6 month timeskip in like under 20 minutes of screentime. And we also got 2 lousy minutes of pit fighter Vi from said timeskip. There was major external and internal struggle for the both of them during this time in their lives and it impacted them a shit tonne in different ways, and it was basically was skipped over like it was nothing. These experiences alone impacted their mental health heavily. We could’ve gotten so much more from this!! Be so fucking for real.
And then there's Jinx and Isha. We got flashbacks during Act 2 Ep6, but thats the thing, they were just flashbacks. We didn't get to experience the whole thing. We see this huge change in Jinx after the time skip, and it was all because she had Isha to ground her. And we see nothing of this. The character development was pivotal, and we missed it.
Same slightly goes for Ep9. Jinx lost Isha, and she's about to kill herself. Then Ekko steps in and saves the day. Next time we fucking see them they're in different outfits, they've got paint and doodles on each other, AND they've teamed up? Ugh! Again we've missed so much. And to top it all off, it was confirmed that they scrapped at least 30 minutes of timebomb footage between?? God damn.
All of these points could have been explored deeper if only we had more time. More of Maddie’s story, more of pit fighter Vi, more of dictator Cait, more of Jinx, Isha, Ekko.
Sometimes these things can’t be helped but it would’ve been so nice.
Got opinions? If you do I’d actually love to hear more theories from you people. I love to see your thoughts and stand points.
(and i also just want to point out that theres a FUCKING petition to relase the extended cut of the caitvi sesbian lex scene, which is so crazy and insane... anyway heres the link if you want it)

« What am I here for? »
—— Caitvi, post s2 ep9.
The sun crippled into Caitlyn's bedroom lazily, the scent of rubbing alcohol invading Vi's nostrils as she stepped in.
Not that she hadn't spent the past ten hours pacing back and forth to check when Caitlyn was gonna wake up.
She knew that the doctor had mumbled some bullshit, like some sort of "she needs rest, I gave her sleeping pills", but Vi couldn't wait.
She wanted to talk to her, to mourn her sister and her dad with the one person she had left.
She wanted Caitlyn to hold her, and she wanted to hold her as well.
It was only when she could hear Caitlyn's voice attempting to let out some words, that she rushed to the side of the mattress.
"Caitlyn,"
She began, breathing heavily through her nose, almost to let out the stress that had bottled up until that moment. She saw the terror in her eye, the hands coming to touch what was blocking the view on her left one.
"Easy, easy, you can't touch that, cupcake."
Vi's voice slipped through the creases of silence broken only by Caitlyn's rugged breath, while the shorter girl grabbed her wrists and placed them back down.
"What happened?"
Caitlyn's voice stabbed at Vi's chest; nothing sounded like her. Like the woman she had fallen in love with.
She was scared, terrified.
A kind of terror Vi had swore she would've never let anyone she loved feel, not on her watch.
"Ambessa's dead, love."
Caitlyn's eyebrow rose; she knew Ambessa was dead, it was the nickname that stinged her.
"Love?"
She asked, Vi's cheeks catching fire almost, as she looked down, and Caitlyn couldn't help but chuckle, a silent note taken about picking her on that later.
"Sorry, anyway— Mel brought you here, you were hurt pretty bad, but she could keep Loris alive, no wonder how she did that with you as well."
"Maddie?"
That name hurt on Caitlyn's lips as much as it burned in Vi's chest. They had talked about it.
After their encounter in the bunker, Caitlyn had let the name of the person she'd seen slip out. Even tho Vi always took at least five minutes to remember the name associated with the face.
"what about her? she's fine"
Vi whispered, gritting her teeth and leaned back on her chair, scoffing, her arms crossing at her chest.
"She told her to shoot me,"
And that was enough for Vi to completely relax her eyebrows and eyelids.
"what—."
"She's with Ambessa, and— Violet!"
The thud of the chair - once it dropped for the way Vi had stood - made Caitlyn flinch, the cold air from the door flying open hitting her with the realization that probably she was gonna regret telling Vi that Maddie wasn't on their side before she was strong enough to hold her back.
"Violet!"
She called again, her act already reflecting on her senses, obliging her to lay back down and take deep, deep breaths.
Without Mel worrying about the people in Piltover, of course Maddie was outside the Kiramman's house with whoever apparently hadn't seen her betrayal on full display — more for Vi to get mad for.
Hands clenched in fists, it was like Maddie had seen that coming; the pink haired Zaunite was still covered in blood and bruises, had refused to leave Caitlyn's side, not trusting anyone next to her —and when Maddie saw her walking towards her, she only had enough strength to start walking backwards.
Funny how the slower she walked, the faster Violet seemed to be approaching her. As much as Maddie had adored her for her story, now fear was dripping down her forehead in liquid form — because Vi's eyes were empty, there wasn't anything except for rage, that was deductible more from the way she was breathing through her nostrils and the way her neck veins were swollen, than her actual expression.
Covered in dried blood, dirt and with her eyes redder than she'd ever admit, she made sure both her hands were ready enough for her to grab that obnoxious redhead, and give her what she deserved.
Revenge.
Now, it's not that Vi hadn't thought about being better, proving everyone that the place she came from meant nothing but oh well - she was gonna / fucking thank you / prove everyone wrong next time.
Maybe.
Probably as high on adrenaline as someone who just spent two hours on rollercoasters, or mouth-filled with the same anger she felt only once she'd realised her father was gone, it took her nothing to close the distance with- fuck, she had already forgotten her name again.
Ammy.
Teddy.
Kelly?
Nelly.
Merry?
Mary-
Abby. Yes, had to be Abby.
Closed the distance between them, Vi's fists clenched at the girl's uniform, lifting her from the ground not without a little groan for the effort and her muscles still sore.
"You tried to kill her!"
"Vi- I was following orders, I had to— I didn't have a choice-"
Maddie's voice came out shaky, a first fist flying in her direction - once her feet touched the ground again -, landing exactly on her cheek.
There weren't much people around the building, which was probably the best for Vi, not so much for Maddie; the timing and the coincidence of Maddie being here were presented to Vi like a cake on a silver plate. The mere thought of her being here to try to pay visit to Caitlyn coursed through her veins, gathering up rage until she could only see red.
The stumble she took had Violet taking advance of the girl's tripping, a kick to her shin as the redhead fell on her back, Vi's knee on her stomach.
Another punch landed on her nose, and Maddie really thought Vi would've stopped there.
But Violet? She was filled up with rage, remorse, grief, anger, her nerves so on edge she could've snapped any time and probably crawl back to Caitlyn's lap, crying.
The way she grabbed Maddie's cheeks with one hand and squeezed made her groan and cough up, her nose bleeding already.
It was quick, sudden, and after a second, Vi's face was inches away from Maddie's.
"I would've shot myself in the fucking mouth at any given command to even aim at the strands of hair out of her ponytail."
The comment made Maddie gasp in horror, her eyes swelling up with tears, her only resource now being the emotional pang of guilt.
"I did love her, I care about her, I was just-"
Before Maddie could finish the sentence, a pressure gripped at her throat, her eyes widening.
"Stop saying bullshit, stop fucking talking!"
The more Vi pressed on Maddie's throat, the more the girl's eyes widened, and it was useless her tapping on Vi's shoulder to loosen the grip.
Around them, a crowd of helpless spectators, because the Arcane Forbid anyone would mistakenly get into Vi's way.
"Violet!"
Caitlyn's voice echoed through the crowd; she had left her room. And damn, she looked like crap.
Now, Caitlyn hadn't exactly seen Vi beat up Maddie, but if she had to put two plus two with the way Vi had stormed out of the room, and her... aggressive way to handle feelings, it was an easy guess.
She took her time, slowly walking down the stairs, both of the women on the ground turning like deers in headlights.
"Would you let Maddie go, please?"
Caitlyn's voice was firm, but there was a hint of struggle in speaking, her hand covering the stitches on the hip stab Ambessa had given her just a couple days before.
Violet's grasp around Maddie's neck loosened.
"Maddie, that's your name, you useless piece of-"
"Violet!"
Grounded by the taller Piltovian, the shorter girl removed her hands and lifted them in surrender.
And that's when it hit her.
An attempt to escape, probably, but a kick arrived right at Violet's hip wound / ironic the symmetry in each other's wounds /, while she was turned to Caitlyn, making her bend on her stomach.
"Shit!"
She indeed finished her sentence, her hand coming to rest exactly on the wound.
Then, the shot.
Caitlyn's eye widened in terror; the tight embrace Maddie had pulled Vi in only needed to push the can of the gun up to the woman's waist.
And fire again.
The last thing Vi heard before fainting was Loris' voice, and a prayer for her to stay awake.
Opening her eyes again, the purple of Caitlyn's bed curtains helped her understanding where she was, a weight on her chest keeping her from sitting up.
She groaned, and from her chest the weight shifted, a soft hand sliding down from her shoulder to her sternum.
"You're awake"
The woman's voice making it through the room and filling that torturing silence. Vi's chest trembled, rising and falling in a slow pace.
"Loris got her before she could shoot again"
Caitlyn continued, her blue eye analyzing Violet's face features, waiting for her to say something.
"Did you actually need to go beat her up?"
"Yes,"
Violet's answer was weak, her eyes hadn't opened yet, but she could feel Caitlyn's judgement stare burn on her skin.
"I can feel you judging "
She whispered, a chuckle escaping the Kiramman's lips.
"I'm not happy with how you handled the thing. It wasn't necessary to beat her up, Violet."
"Oh don't 'Violet' me with that sweet mouth, cupcake."
She could feel Caitlyn's hand sliding up her cheek, caressing her jaw as she gently traced her skin with her thumb. The touch relaxed her, her hand coming to rest on her own stomach, the index flicking up to try to touch Caitlyn's arm.
They stayed silent for a while, basking in the sound of the other's breath, until finally Caitlyn spoke again.
"I don't want you to fight my battles. You could've gotten yourself killed."
Violet thought about her answer, about how true Caitlyn's words were; she opened her eyes enough to see her, blue hair falling on her shoulders, her closed eye scarred, the opened one swelling with tears.
"I only have you to fight for."
The girl whispered, and it was her turn to reach up and cup the taller's cheek.
"I only have us, left to hold onto."
Her words cut through scars Caitlyn didn't know she had, betraying her own silence with a sigh.
"I have to protect you, cupcake."
She whispered, the hand tugging slightly, her thumb tracing an imaginary vertical line from Caitlyn's nose tip to her chin. She had lost everything she ever gave value to in her own life. Her sister, her father, her friends, and part of her ability to feel anything except for rage.
"If I'm not here to love you, what am I here for?"
That line took Caitlyn by surprise, the weakness in Vi's half lidded eyes, stirring something inside of her.
"What did you just say?"
She asked softly, trying to understand if she had misheard.
Violet's bandaged hand stroked the back of her knuckles against her cheek, as she tried sit up, only succeeding into buckling her shoulders up.
Her eyes opened a little more, droplets of emotions streaming through her powder blue irises.
She remained silent, observing the sweet features in Caitlyn's face, the tenderness in the way she curved her eyebrows, and her eyes seemed as beautiful as always, even if one of them couldn't open anymore.
She traced with her index finger the bridge of her nose, slid it up to her eyebrow, and back to her cheekbone.
She'd spent hours analyzing the starry sky that Caitlyn was, but this was different. There was a different type of longing, a different type of worship in Vi's eyes.
Caitlyn stilled there, a little frown adorning her forehead as she felt the confusion rising for how sweetly Vi was handling her.
Not that Vi hadn't laid her hands softly on the Piltovian's untained skin before, but this? This was something she didn't think Vi could be capable of.
"I love you."
Easy like whispering her own name, Violet pronounced those words in the exact moment Caitlyn had opened her mouth to speak. The breath caught in her throat, she looked like she'd just been caught doing something bad.
"why are you looking at me like that?"
Violet dared to speak, only to find herself exhale under the weight of Caitlyn's lips.
She hadn't kissed her yet, not since both of them had had much more important things to do, such as surviving, and she was planning to, don't get her wrong.
Just not like this.
Not that she complained anyway.
She let Caitlyn lead her, the excitement of that kiss bringing her hand to firmly grip at the girl's hip, tugging at her top.
"You're unbelievable."
Caitlyn whispered as their lips parted, briefly, a chuckle escaping from Vi, that lifted her hand in surrender, her eyes widened as she suppressed her next words when Caitlyn kissed her again.
"You're lucky I love you too."
She breathed out, softly, her hand shifting to pat her cheek affectionately, just before leaning down in the position she was before Vi woke up.
"I can hear your heart beating."
She felt the pink haired Zaunite's hand through her hair, caressing her head gently, a chuckle making her chest wiggle, barely.
"Hmm, tell me when it stops."
[ Little post scriptum! I'm italian, first of all, so excuse me for any mistake. Second of all, I wrote it just for fun after seeing a tiktok and I hope you find it a little entertaining at least. :) No hate on anyone, spread love. <<3 ]
