Meryl Stryfe, rookie reporter for Bernardelli News Agency if you asked her mentor would be described with the phrase “Wrong place, Right job”.

She seemed to have this psychic ability to predict and be in the location of rather “disastrous” events that wouldn’t have been as quickly reported on given the location or other circumstances. Finding herself in locations of interest she has a self described “tingling” in her head about a hunch or connection she should follow to end up right in the front row of what could only be described like a natural disaster, but diligent research concluds it’s anything but natural.

She’s been dubbed by coworkers as the weather forcaster for one humanoid Typhoon Vash the stampede. But Meryl will boldly claim when tipsy good investigating proved Vash was a mere correlation to the causation.

Vash the stampede on the other hand thought he was simply having the plant equivalent of independent plant allergies. As he sporadically had bursts of not just human energy he equated as a plant sneeze, a tickle in the nose, a tingle in the head and a quick energy pulse he was worried his brother might sense.

What Vash didn’t know was that he was often in proximity of some degree of one Meryl Stryfe when he often had a plant sneeze, and Meryl had no hint that she was also passing by the same man when she was hunting down the next big scoop.

Though maybe Roberto had mentioned the apparent raise in large pink/red jackets someone seemed to always be wearing one in every city and town they passed through waiting for lightning to strike…

Genuinely terrified this shit with Miku Expo is doom forcasting CFM phasing out the holograms entirely... like I went to Magical Mirai in Osaka last year which was awesome and affordable, the crowds energy and songs were fun, so like at least I've seen Miku the way she was meant to be seen, but holy shit if they're silent on this... despite the massive outrage... that's so not good. 😭

Wind power costs could drop 50%. Solar PV could provide up to 50% of global power. Damn

Solar and wind energy have been

underestimated

by analysts and politicians again and again and again. They have gotten cheaper and scaled up faster than even the most optimistic forecasts of a decade ago, or even a few years ago.

And there’s good evidence we’re still underestimating them. In fact, two new reports — one on solar, one on wind — make the point vividly. They argue that the radical trends of the last decade are going to continue, which is all that needs to happen for the energy system to tip over from disruption into revolution.

Solar is going to play a much bigger role than most models predict 

So far, official predictions have fallen woefully short of the rise of solar photovoltaic (PV) energy:

The researchers see two key challenges ahead, if PV is to continue its rapid expansion. The first is the cost of financing, especially in the developing world. The second is integrating high levels of wind and solar into the grid. (Because wind and solar are variable, they require sophisticated balancing from other sources and grid technologies; I wrote about that challenge in some detail here.)

Say PV can address those challenges and maintain its current rate of learning, improvement, and expansion. What would a more realistic model projection look like?

The gray shaded areas show the potential growth of PV, bounded by the lowest and highest historical growth rates. As you can see, this updated model run shows PV wildly outperforming most other model runs (the areas in other colors), eventually providing 30 to 50 percent of global electricity.

Wind costs could drop another 50% and beat natural gas without subsidies, say nerds

The second bit of happy news comes from researchers at Atmosphere to Electrons, an R&D program for wind power at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).

Their new paper is primarily about the scientific and technical challenges their team is researching — high-tech ways to further improve wind turbines and farms. But as part of the exercise, they project just how much wind costs could fall if all those high-tech solutions are implemented. It’s pretty mind-blowing.

Today’s status quo leads to revolution

It’s a little odd. Both of these reports offer forecasts that are wildly optimistic relative to the mainstream modeling community, but it’s not because they predict wind and solar are going to have some unprecedented explosion.

They simply predict that wind and solar are going to keep doing what they’re doing — keep scaling up, keep improving, keep getting cheaper — at roughly the same rate they have been. If that happens, solar PV could provide 30 to 50 percent of global power. If that happens, wind power could be 50 percent cheaper by 2030.

Aurore is very good at hiding her feelings for you. And why wouldn't she? Aurore doesn't want you to know before the right time. Only lamenting about it when she's sure she's alone. It's not her fault that she's like this anyways.

She can't really put a name to it, but she knows it's your fault. How genuine you smiled when you greeted her in the morning. How friendly you were to not just her, but everyone else as well. The warmth in her chest always made all her worried thoughts fade into nothing. But what she didn't like was all those other people taking up your time. Why do you even bother with them when you have someone who's perfect for you?

Aurore is an Obsessive yandere mixed in with traits of the Delusional type. She's obsessive by having pictures of you which she's taken and plastered all over her room. They are all a mix up of photos but never ones close enough where you'd notice.

Aurore is delusional in that she already believes you two are perfect for each other. "You are my shining sun that warms my heart Y/N!" No one will be able to tell her otherwise unless they want Aurore to yell at them. She would never lay her hands on another person so she'll use her words to belittle and scold them. This is after a long time since it takes alot to get Aurore's anger to boil over to that point. It all depends on if they are making fun of you or getting too close to where Aurore is becoming uncomfortable seeing the two of you together. "Stop wasting y/n's time with your stupid nonsense! They are only nice to you out of being polite so bother someone else!"

She slips into your friend group pretty easily, having learned as much about you as she can have the same likes and dislikes as you. She's also the type to buy you gifts related to your interests. She doesn't want to have to buy your love with money since it makes her feel disingenuous when spending time with you if she it's because she's spending money. She wants you to spend time with her because you like her. You have no idea how excited this girl gets when she sees a text message from you.

She wants you to like her and you need to understand something about Aurore going forward. She NEEDS you to love her. Aurore doesn't care if you use your words or even body language, she just needs you to express that you care about her and that you aren't ignoring her. For the most part, she knows that you love her and that you don't NEED to voice it, but it would be lovely if you did.

Her yandere traits only surface if you don't return her feelings and brush her off. If you don't then she'll be the sweetest of girlfriends for you. It's what you deserve and what she needs in her life. Like this she has little issue with those people 'hanging around you'. She's alright with it, because she knows you love her. You do love her. It's only if you don't that it becomes a problem. But not for Aurore..

Yandere Stormy Weather. (Aged-up)

"Our upcoming forcast is a never-ending showering of my love!"

Stormy Weather is everything that Aurore wishes she could be when it comes to her daily life and more so when it comes to you. Allowing herself to express her true feelings more leaves all those who stand between you and her frozen with fear. Far more rude, loud, and aggressive; Stormy doesn't allow anyone to hold her back.

You are hers and it's about time you just figure that out already. Where Aurore was careful never to let her emotions take control of her, Stormy lets them out in the form of her powers. Normally just sending arcs of lightning from the tip of her umbrella is enough to get those rats to back off. But if they aren't smart enough to get the picture then freezing them into blocks of ice will do the trick. Now if they only committed a light offence then she'll let them off easy with a soft shock or just freezing their legs to the ground for a few hours. However if anyone so much as dares to touch you, or heaven forbids tries to take you away from her. Then they are dead. No second chances for anyone who's foolish enough to touch what belongs to Stormy Weather.

Stormy will kidnap you, rather quickly at that. As Aurore would never have the courage to do so, Stormy cares way less about things like that. Who in their right mind would try and take you from her? You belong to her. And you do belong to her. She needs you to understand that just as much as others do. Now she'd only use her powers on you in extreme situations like you trying to leave her. But she isn't against locking you in a room while leaving your limbs frozen in ice. If the cold and soreness of them doesn't make you realise how stupid you've been then she'll just have to keep you like that longer now won't she? "WHY is it so HARD for you to love me back! Just say those damn words and I wouldn't have to do this to you! WHY don't you just behave!"

Unlike Aurore she doesn't have time for your tears and will just leave you alone when you get all emotional like that. You can only cry and scream for so long anyways. She'll just wait them out. As much as she hates having to do this, it's something she can't avoid. Like trying to tame a feral kitten, she knows it just takes a little time before you warm up to her.

If you wish for any sort of freedom or at least having Stormy be a little nicer to you then you'll do well to follow along with the guidelines she has for you. That or develop Stockholm syndrome quickly, or maybe just like her back? She doesn't ask for much, just your love, time, energy, body..alright she's asking for everything but can you blame her? She just wants you to love her. Is that really hard?

Stormy will threaten the lives of those you care about with her powers. Friends and family are on the table when it comes to her dealing out her punishments. And she'll inform you of who gets to take your place for your punishments if you don't behave.

In all truth, Aurore is capable of having a normal and healthy relationship with you as long as you return her love. A cute and happy girl to have by your side. Just don't let her anger boil for too long as she won't be sorry for what happens in the aftermath. As long as you love her, the skies will always be sunny for you. As long as you love her.

It's easier than not to let Mikey hold him upright, grin pressed into his temple, a fistful of his race suit in each hand. The day was like any other today. Most of my days are and so I awoke this morning and the days business had begun. I stayed up late the night before editing my youtube video and getting it posted I even made a thumbnail for it, a task i did not think i was going to accomplish. Having stayed up until one day bled into the next, I only had time for a couple hours rest at the most. Therefore this morning I was quite tired but that is the price I pay for ambition. My Marisella had slept with me that night however she had gone to bed much earlier than I and we arose together. She was running a bit late as she often does when she stays in the pelican with me and so rushed off. I was quick to my feet as well but not to be off rather to clean and get the landboat ready for travel and so I did and off to work once more I was. I arrived at work with little more time than to feed and water the animals and inside I went without a moment to spare. The reason I was just in time being that I stoped at the gas station on the way in to aquire a couple of much needed energy drinks just so I could survive the day zombiefied rather than passing out on my feet.  Even the sweet nector of Monster energy wasn't enough to boost my spirits much and so I made it through the morning. Lunch time arrived and I was quickly shook to action as it appeared that my Twitter account had been completely obliterated from all the web.That would have been detrimental to my goal of being a success full afiliate marketer as I have spent much time growing an audiance on there to which I can advertise goods. So with that fresh fear in my i was vitalized and began trying despiratly to figure out what was going on. Many a hastily typed email was sent and by the time my lunchbreak was over my account had been restored. I survived the rest of the work day but still there would be no rest for me. The first after work task that needed to be completed was that of aquiring propane since I had heard that there was snow forcast for tomorrow. However before that we must pick up my youngest two children Christopher and Parker. Ariving at their mothers house however I was dissapointed that parker did not wish to come this night. I had my suspicions as to the reason those being his wanting to play videogames whith his online friends. I agreed he could stay behind as I don't believe in forcing my children to spend time with me...well not all the time atleast. With chris loaded into Marisellas car off we were to fill my propane tank. With that task completed back to Marisellas apartment for the evening it was. At Marisella's she made dinner for me and chris and her daughters. While she was Cooking can you guess what I was busy at? If you were to by chance deduce that I was typing away on my keyboard working diligantly at my marketing you would not be wrong. I posted my five links per account and then took up the task of re-making my tik tok account as my other had been perminatly banned for live streaming my work. who knew people would have such a problem with the dismemberment of waterfoul. I learned my lesson though and am going to be much more careful with it this time as to never get banned again and lose all the hard work I have done acuiring followers. Marisella finished dinner just about the same time that I finished up my work, other than typing tonights entry that is. We sat down to a meal of salad and the most delightful home made potato soup. Marisella Is so very good to me. we watched good mythical morning., A favorite youtube channel of mine while we ate and almost as soon as we had finished the hour was growing late and already it was time to get young christopher back to his mothers house. After dropping Chris off my oldest boy came to the car and gave me a late christmas presant it was a purse shaped like a treasure chest. I'm not sure if most manly men would appreciate such a present but I was utterly delighted with it and thanked the boy most genuinly. We were pulling out of the drive again when to my surprise my second to oldest son came running out of the house and down the driveway after us we stopped and pulled back in to see what he needed in such a hurry and his reason for rushing to catch us? that would be to show us how he could spin a basketball on the tip of a pensil. It filled my heart with such joy to see the boy so excited for something as he is lacking in enthusiasm for anything these days. I hugged him tight and bid him goodnight and we were off in ernest this time. Upon arriving back at the pelican it was more busy time cleaning and doing my chores for the night as well as repairing some of the plastic on the outside windows that had come loose. with all that done the evening was almost over. My Miraculous Hero Academia: Character Sheet Update

Miraculous Character = Quirk. Quirk Description.

Class 1-A

Marinette Dupain-Cheng = Lucky Charm. Allows Marinette to summon a seemingly random object to aid her in her endevers, but the object only last for five minutes before disappearing. Only one Lucky Charm can be summoned at a time.

Adrien Agreste = Cataclysm. Allows Adrien to destroy anything he touches, but he needs to collect energy before unleashing.

Chloe Bourgeois = Venom. Can cause paralizes upon contact, but Chloe needs to keep her nails maintain for her to use Venom to its fullest.

Ivan Bruel = Golemize. Can turn into a giant golem and can create miniture golems from the enviornment around him, so long as he can write the word "Truth" on the object he plans to make into a miniture golem. The mini-golems can only work so long as the word "Truth" remains intact.

Alya Ceasair = Illusions. Can create illusions of anything she wants when she plays her flute, the illusions remain intact so long as they aren't touched.

Juleka Couffaine = Invisability. Can turn invisable, but has to look in a mirror to activate and deactivate the Quirk.

Mylène Haprèle = Phobia. Can create familiars of people's greatest fears to aid her in whatever she does. These familiars remain intact as long as Mylène doesn't scream in fear.

Max Kante = Technogy Manipulation. Can control technology with mind.

Alix Kubdel = TimeJump. Can travel through time, but has to eat carrots to do so (the size of the carrot she eats determinds how far back or forward in time she goes).

Nathaniel Kurtzberg = Drawn to Life. Can bring anything he's drawn to life to become his familiar. This doesn't work on portraits.

Nino Lahiffe = Protective Shell. Can create protective barriars to negate any oncoming attack, but has to carry around some kind of arm shield to activate the Quirk.

Rose Lavillant = Aroma. Can create any type of fragrence and/or gas, but has to eat flower petals to activate the Quirk.

Le Chien Kim = Uproar. Can dissrupt/nullify the Quirks of others, but he has to make some kind of direct contact or secondary contact with the person (ie, he either has to touch them directly or hit them an object).

Sabrina Raincomprix = Hindsight. Can use any kind of vision (ie, heat vision, x-ray vision, inferred vision, ect), but has to wear pescription glasses to deactivate Quirk.

Luka Couffaine (3rd-year adviser) = Second Chance. Can go back in time to change events to either avoid certain things from happening or make something better, but he can only go back a maximum of Five Minutes.

Kagami Tsurugi = Elemental Forms. Can turn into one of three elements; Water, Wind, and Lightning. But she can only turn into one element at a time.

Aurore Beaureal = Stormy Weather. Can control the weather to an extent, but has to have an umbrella in hand to activate.

Mireille Caquet = Forcast. Is able to pridict attacks and outcomes by reading the air pressure in the vicinity.

Jean Duparc = Slight of Hand. Is able to do magic tricks without prep, but has to wear silk gloves to work properly.

Ondine Mainrie (this will be her surname in this story) = Mermaid. Can do whatever a mermaid can, but has to keep hydrated.

Marc Anciel = Written Off. Can make words come alive, but he has to already have written the word down on some kind of surface.

Ms Mendeleiev = Chemical. Can identify the chemicals in anything. Science teach.

Caline Bustier = Mama Bear. Can turn into a protective bear when angered. Class 1-A teach.

A dramatic glimpse of the aftermath of a collision between two exoplanets is giving scientists a view at what can happen when planets crash into each other. A similar event in our own solar system may have formed our Moon.

Known as BD +20 307, this double-star system is more than 300 light years from Earth with stars that are at least one billion years old. Yet this mature system has shown signs of swirling dusty debris that is not cold, as would be expected around stars of this age. Rather, the debris is warm, reinforcing that it was made relatively recently by the impact of two planet-sized bodies.  

A decade ago, observations of this system by ground observatories and NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope gave the first hints of this collision when the warm debris was first found. Now the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy, SOFIA, revealed the infrared brightness from the debris has increased by more than 10% – a sign that there is now even more warm dust.

Published in the Astrophysical Journal, the results further support that an extreme collision between rocky exoplanets may have occurred relatively recently. Collisions like these can change planetary systems. It is believed that a collision between a Mars-sized body and the Earth 4.5 billion years ago created debris that eventually formed the Moon.

“The warm dust around BD +20 307 gives us a glimpse into what catastrophic impacts between rocky exoplanets might be like,” said Maggie Thompson, a graduate student at University of California, Santa Cruz, and the lead author on the paper. “We want to know how this system subsequently evolves after the extreme impact.”

Planets form when dust particles around a young star stick together and grow larger over time. The leftover debris remains after a planetary system forms, often in distant, cold regions like the Kuiper Belt, located beyond Neptune in our own solar system. Astronomers expect to find warm dust around young solar systems. As they evolve, the dust particles continue to collide and eventually become small enough that they are either blown out of a system or pulled into the star. Warm dust around older stars, like our Sun and the two in BD +20 307, should have long since disappeared. Studying the dusty debris around stars not only helps astronomers learn how exoplanet systems evolve, but also builds a more complete picture of our own solar system’s history.

“This is a rare opportunity to study catastrophic collisions occurring late in a planetary system’s history,” said Alycia Weinberger, staff scientist at the Carnegie Institution for Science’s Department of Terrestrial Magnetism in Washington, and lead investigator on the project. “The SOFIA observations show changes in the dusty disk on a timescale of only a few years.”

Infrared observations, such as those from SOFIA’s infrared camera called FORCAST, the Faint Object Infrared Camera for the SOFIA Telescope, are critical for uncovering clues hidden in cosmic dust. When observed with infrared light, this system is much brighter than expected from the stars alone. The extra energy comes from the glow of the dusty debris, which can’t be seen at other wavelengths.

While there are several mechanisms that could cause the dust to glow more brightly – it could be absorbing more heat from the stars or moving closer to the stars – these are unlikely to happen in just 10 years, which is lightning fast for cosmic changes. A planetary collision, however, would easily inject a large amount of dust very quickly. This provides more evidence that two exoplanets crashed into each other. The team is analyzing data from follow-up observations to see if there are further changes in the system.
