so my favourite trope is not just enemies to lovers. It's the idiots-dynamic.

No, not idiots-in-love (though I do love it) but when one character who is always smart about everything in life turns stupid only when it comes to their partner or their relationship, MEANWHILE the other one who is an idiot all the time turns into the smartest person ever when it comes to the partner and their relationship.

I was recommended that series by a friend, Andrew decked Neil with his exy racket 20 seconds into the book, and followed that up by tHE most sexually charged scene between Andrew and Neil in the elevator and I was at lunch with that friend that same day demanding answers as to when they were getting together. How did nobody see it coming until the 3rd book ISTG for the love of queer coded characters they had more tension 3 chapters in to the book than Keith and Lance had 6 seasons into voltron and that drawn out queer-baiting pile of bullshit

childhood academic rivals neil and andrew coincidentally meet up later in their 30s after years of never seeing or speaking to each other. after neil’s sudden disappearance in their 3rd grade, andrew was left bereft of the chance to purposely annoy a certain someone with his eidetic memory and perfect grades with little to no effort in preparation, he’s got no one to pick academic fights with. years down the the line, the only thing that has changed from their passive aggressive relationship is that now, one of them is the world’s most wanted serial killer, the other is a cop. their accidental meet up occurs during a shootout when neil’s loyal henchmen gang up on andrew ready to kill him his before he gets a chance of killing their boss. neil was quick to act when he made sure that not a single shot was fired, he threatened his own men to save andrew’s life. little did anyone know that neil has always been a little OBSESSED with andrew. he is demisexual yes, but there’s something about andrew that always excited him ever since they were teenagers. however, all is fair in love and war. will their love or hate for each other prevail leading to one of their demise?

I can’t remember if we are allowed to pick multiple (if not I’m sorry but take my appreciation for you anyway 💖) but could I possibly have some vampdrew? I love it so so much and the way you write his thoughts is such an interesting take. His interactions with the others changed by his vampiric attributes and his relationships with the others is very intriguing and I love it)

WIP Wednesday (6/19) | Vampire Andrew AU (Part 144)

Kevin turns over his wrist, rubs his finger along that soft skin. He knows his blood quells Andrew’s hunger the best. Keeps him full the longest. But he can’t make Andrew drink if he doesn’t want to. Their deal is for Saturdays and Andrew will not budge at all on that, the stubborn idiot. 

With a sigh Kevin twists Andrew’s ring on his thumb, remembering how badly he was affected by the barely-there blood of torn cuticles. He wonders… If he were to cut himself, would Andrew give into the temptation and drink—

“Do not!” Andrew shouts from the bedroom. Kevin freezes, fingers still messing with the ring. And the others share a look. 

“Don’t what?” Nicky calls. 

‘I wasn’t going to—’ Kevin thinks, cut off when the bedroom door swings open. Suddenly Andrew is there with glowing eyes and a finger pointed at him. 

“I mean it, Day,” He says, clearly pissed off. “If you try it, I’ll throw Nicky out the window.”

“Hey! What the fuck? Why me?” Nicky says, throwing his hands up. Everyone ignores him to stare at the threat-making vampire.

“Say you won’t.”

“Won’t what?” asks Aaron. 

Kevin looks down at the floor. ‘I won’t. It was just—’

WIP Wednesday Game 8/9/23 (Closed) | New Kings AU

Kevin comes to with a start.

He hisses in pain and finds that his hand hurts the way it only did in his nightmares anymore. Pain is fine. Pain means he's alive. Alive means he can recover. Recovery means that he can play Exy again.

"Kevin, are you okay?" he hears his dad ask and feels a warm familiar hand on his shoulder.

"Hand." he grits out.

"I know, it's going to be okay." His dad promises him and Wymack had never-

Kevin's eyes open and his gaze shoots up to see Coach David Wymack, his father, standing to his full height looking two decades younger than he had in his hospital bed.

"Is everyone okay?" Wymack calls out to the bus, hand still on Kevin's shoulder to steady him.

There may have been answers but Kevin couldn't hear them. Every ounce of his attention is on his living and breathing father.

"Dad?" he asks and watches as Wymack stiffens.
