i wanted to address a recurring kind of ask i get here and on @queer--buccaneer​. people will message me (in good faith!) to say 'this person you reblogged from is an exclusionist'.

i promise you, it doesn't matter. and we can stop acting like it does.

it doesn’t matter to the people out there in the real world oppressing us. queerphobes don't stop harassing a-spec people when they learn they're 'not really LGBT'. therapists don't refuse to see people with DID because of endogenic systems. no parent ever made the decision to hate their trans child based on seeing a kid using nounself pronouns.

and the fact that people put exclusionists and anti-mogai blogs in the same league as TERFs and facists like they're even remotely as dangerous is pretty weird!

i know it can really feel that way when you're young and your identity is being attacked by people like that. but like. most of the people who are anti- your identity are also teens. that should tell you something about how dangerous they are. they're not the people writing your prescriptions, or paying your food bills, or passing laws against you.

so there’s a huge difference between giving actually harmful rhetoric a platform and sharing a meme from someone who disagrees with you. exclusionists aren't harmless, for sure, but reblogging a flag from them doesn’t increase their sociopolitical power over you.

i'm aroace, but i really like this one. i like to think about how pissed off the creator would be to see me using it. if the flag explicitly excluded a-spec people (which it doesn't), and we decided that no, the white stripe represents aro/ace lesbians, wouldn't that be wonderful? if a meme making fun of 'mogai culture' is funny to us and we reblog it and have a laugh at ourselves, wouldn't that really take the wind out of their sails? i'm like 70% sure i've seen a huge dropoff in anti-mogai joke flag blogs since we started doing it too.

bc community symbols and memes are both forms of art that are supposed to surpass their creator. they're supposed to be free to distribute and use.

like, before the which-lesbian-flag poll i didn't know the lipstick lesbian flag creator was biphobic or racist or anything. i didn't know the creator of the one i use was an exclusionist. nobody knew, until someone went digging for it, because 90% of the time a person's politics have no bearing on the art they make. especially when that art is used and reinterpreted by millions of people with millions of other viewpoints. plenty of bi lesbians, lesbians of color and disabled lesbians have found their place under the lipstick flag!

or the inverse: whatever intentions the creator of the labrys had don't matter any more, because TERFs made it their own. plenty of queer people enjoy the cthulhu mythos even though lovecraft was a known homophobe. pepe was made a fascist mascot despite his creator being the sweetest guy in the world. i could go on! my point is...

some disclaimers real quick: - i AM 'anti-endo', in the sense that i don't personally feel comfortable with endogenic systems interacting with me, or syscourse-heavy pro-endo people interacting with me. nothing against you, i just feel uncomfortable with interacting! - i am also an 'anti-shipper' - but, again, it's mostly because i'm uncomfortable with pro-shippers interacting with me. i have my own opinions, and i don't automatically think 'oh, all pro-shippers are evil and disgusting' - i just don't know where your line is if you ARE one and i'd just prefer to not interact or be interacted with you! - i do not have any diagnosis in regards to being a system, however i do have a ton of dissociative disorder symptoms, and while i have no idea where i fall on the dissociative disorder scale, i do believe i have some sort of disorder causing my system. this belief has been made with a shit ton of research into these disorders, and the utmost respect for other systems. - while my blog url includes the word 'demon' in it, i am in NO way implying systems, fictionkin, or those who share a similar spirituality with me are demons. i simply really like this word and url, and felt like i'd like to use it. if the url makes you uncomfortable, feel free to block me, that is absolutely your prerogative and i'd hate to make you uncomfortable. - the blog ‘mascot’ is kyubey from puella magi madoka magica! i do not kin him, but i couldn’t NOT use a little demon kitty that’s cute as a blog mascot.

dopamine surge purge.

 i must write while i am still experiencing the short-lived effects of the stimulant i have ingested.  there is a lot that is happening and so much to be touched upon in my thoughts today.  i will try my best to jot down what’s most substantial.  

due to unfortunate developments regarding the covid-19 outbreak in the united states, many of us are now stuck at home.  although i would have never wished such circumstances to be the cause of such consequences, being at home with a lack of external obligations is what i have always wanted.  one must make the most of what is given to them and i will try to use this newfound free time to the best of my ability to craft a better future for myself.  if there’s any time to be creative and catch up on materializing projects i have heavily fantasized about, it is now.

when you’re alone and no longer on the go with the daily grind of life, you can’t hide from issues you may have unbeknownst suppressed.  this happened yesterday, and as it’s happened many times before, it was more of a familiar nuisance rather than a challenging ordeal.  i’m realizing that i place too much importance on what others may think of me and that it is really creating unnecessary blockages in vain.  i cannot help what others may think of me and i can no longer try to mold myself to everyone’s expectations or projections that their own inner stuff may make of me.  i can only follow my own vision from this point forth.  even if the content i choose to release helps or uplifts one person in a sea of those that may respond with adverse judgement, it would have been worth it.  that is a new insight i have developed.

another concept i am also dealing with today and the past few days is not identifying with my work.  i am employed by my muse and Endo Orphans.  i am not my muse or Endo Orphans.  i am a co-creator in this universe and i have contributions to make.  i can only try my best.  it all comes back to the idea of karma yoga.  you are only entitled to your labor and not the fruits of your actions. 

I’ve tried to come up with a new name for my creative affairs, but it no longer seems right to do so and I shall explain why.  The place I’m acting from in which I feel I should find a new name rather than remain with Endo Orphans is from a place of fear of being criticized or made fun of.  It is a name that resonated intensely with my heart instantly upon hearing it back in my adolescence, but it is also a name I’ve tied to feelings of artistic failure, thoughts of beating a dead horse, a sunk cost fallacy, and individuals I used to interact with whom heavily disliked the nature of my muse.  I let them go, this isn’t about them, it’s about my heart’s resonance with my vision.  Who cares what they may think, I wish them well with their endeavours.  This is my path to walk and my path is my home. Why do I have such an affinity to Endo Orphans?  Endo Orphans is clearly a word-play on endorphin, the body’s endogenous opioids.  Opioids are pain-relieving.  Life contains in it lots of suffering and due to my strong interest in eastern mysticism and the idea of enlightenment which is often affiliated with the end of suffering, the name is a reference towards our highly individual journeys towards the discovering of our true self.  The name also behaves as a double-entendre as it is also a reference to this true self that I speak of.  Endo being a prefix meaning ‘inside’ and Orphans meaning ‘without parents’ is a reference to the all pervading consciousness found inside all of us that has no parent but itself.  The witness, our true awareness, the space in which our thoughts arise and the place we watch the entire drama and illusion that are our lives with unbearable compassion.  It is this “I” that I believe is our true identity.  It is a name that carries heavy significance with me.  It is this “I” in which we are all one.

Why Orcas?  Why are Orcas your mascot, so to speak?  From a very young age, I’ve been allured by them heavily.  Physically speaking, I can’t think of a more beautiful and mystifying creature.  With a color scheme that contains black, white, and grey, and how they sort of look like yin-yangs, I feel as though nature reveals the nature of duality through them quite eloquently.  They are seen to be the carriers of Ancient Wisdom in certain tribes.  Being both curious, highly intelligent, sociable and amiable beings, they must also hunt, and being the apex predator that they are they must participate in the unsettling activity of taking life.  They show reverence as at times they let their go prey go in the sake of training their young when a meal isn’t needed.  To this day, there are no recorded human fatalities caused by wild Orcas.  I can’t think of another apex predator that can be said about, their intelligence and discernment is unique.  There are wives tales of Orcas protecting fisherman at sea from sharks and even guiding lost travelers back to land.  They’re grey saddle patch to me also symbolizes the unity merging of black and white, revealing that things aren’t always what they seem and that things aren’t always black and white, they can be grey.  The place that lies behind duality, in which it is all one.

In the future write something here about seeing them in person and how they hide underwater and then surface revealing themselves and the awe that resembles at the moment the feeling as though the veil has dropped and one is seeing God.

last thought, regarding a concept i’m dealing with today.  is my preoccupation with my physical appearance.  i’m over it, i can’t care anymore.  everything takes time, and time takes everything.  these are the cards i’ve been dealt, and fuck it, it’s enough.  i can deal, and i will learn to see the beauty in my flaws and the perfection of it all, and it’s paradoxes with the days to come.
