I’d remind skeptical after seeing this indie game that “tried” to be like “Cuphead”. But only ends up making it a bit worse than better.

Enchanted Portals devs sure does have unique ideas with the animations; if done right differently. Sadly, it came in bad timing as you seen this video. 😔👎

Ok guys…hear me out…The game sucks, I do not like this game….however…Bobby’s design is just so adorable…He’s an adorable design stuck in bad media.

I’ve decided he’s a silly little shop keeper in My “ToonCross” Cuphead AU.

He’s essentially The Wasteland’s “Porkrind.”, he has no effect on the main plot of the AU at all. Soooo…I drew up a little concept for him. He’s only in the Wasteland, he won’t appear much.

I’m not sure about his sister yet.

After I Watched Inside Out 2. I'm having Fun Drawing some Birthday Gift Fanart of Alexis who turned into a Gaming Chimera after VG Character Altering Machine is having a Malfunction.

Alexis is a Gaming Chimera, A Head of Ribbuny, Right Arm of Meowscarada, Left Arm of Cow from Enchanted Portals, and Lower Half of Magna Charge.

It’s an Inspired Frankentoon but Gaming Characters. They Could be Described as Pal, Pokemon, Robot!

“Enchanted portals” finally coming out soon and I couldn’t be more happy, since I’ve been anticipating this for 3 years, after the reveal. You know, not every day you see a game that look like “b” class European TV animation, with an interesting cast of characters and designs.

The problem is, that even after all this work game still looks like it’s will be unfinished, but… you know I believe in it). Go “enchanted portals”, go for the win!

✨I've been hyperfixated on Enchanted Portals recently, and what it could've been if more work was put into it and uhh. Here are some notes/basically my brain trying to recreate the game in my ✨vision✨

✨Note that I don't have the tools or coding knowledge to actually see anything through, the most it'll really get is some fan redesigns and maybe me writing out and singing the songs

Enchanted portals is out

I've seen it.

It's..okay. For cuphead clone ideas are there but gameplay itself needs so much work to be done. Sounds is lacking, the animation of bosses are clunky, the gameplay is boring. Super unpolished and charging it 50 bucks like cuphead is crazy. To extent I get it because the extra money should allow them to fix the game but idk.

Shame, cause first annocument kinda killed the game itself being a cuphead clone but make it wizards(?). There's a reason cuphead took so long to create. Not to discredit work with budget they had put in but yeah it clearly shows.

Enchanted Portals to be published by Perp Games

Perp Games will publish Xixo Games Studio-developed hand-drawn cooperative side-scrolling platformer Enchanted Portals, the companies announced. Perp Games did not announce platforms, but the game was previously slated for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC, and both PlayStation Store and Steam pages recently went live.

Kinda hate how people are riffing on Enchanted Portals so hard.

It was made by 2 people with zero funds who just loved cuphead so much that they wanted to make their own game inspired by it. It's the literal definition of a passion project and people are shitting and spiting on it.

The fact they even finished it and released it at all is much more than any of us ever could. And the hypocrisy of people saying they want more games or people making games who actually care and are passionate and than there's these 2 people trying their best with literal dirt and people trip them, kick them while they're down, and go haha.

Make your own game with no money and than well talk.

Enchanted Portals is an absolute mess, plain and simple. Every part of its gameplay is either way too random, broken, or broken in how random it is. It’s an insult to Cuphead and the other run-and-gun platformers it takes inspiration from, with awkward controls and unbelievably cheap difficulty.

Witch Boss from Enchanted Portals

The first Instagram upload, incredibly basic design and way subpar execution. It's not especially great. About the history: I found out about Enchanted Portals by Xixo Games Studio, the game that was collectively hailed as a Cuphead ripoff/bootleg by the Internet. While watching its Kickstarter Trailer, I was mesmerized by the witch boss (appearing about 0:29, trailer below), thought the character was cool and decided to draw it.

I've been making digital stuff for over a month (horrible of course), wanted to put it somewhere, and knowing there's going to be some following for this witch online for sure, I made this piece and my account. This upload did nothing, but I started tinkering more with drawing software and kept uploading more artworks.

I really like this version, think it's a good remake, the difference is night and day. Like the hair and details on the hat. And gotta keep the grin, it's the first upload after all.
