design notes: strong steel casing especially where it attaches to the axis, and sufficient neodymium magnet, the height from the axis is divided as 40/20/40, so 20% of that is our steel casing, 40% for the magnet
inside the steel casing is an aluminum core for the remainder 40%, that accounts for the rotor's net weight saving
but there is a twist, we must make sure that the magnets never go anywhere, that is the risk of catastrophic motor failure right there, and so we are encasing them inside the steel casing
applied as a whole we are looking at how much weight we can save, while still having powerful motors in my opinion
what more weight can we save, the rotors axis, well I guess those are steel tubes
or if it turns out that we are too light and we need to weight things to add torque to the motors, that they have aluminum cores
there is one last thing however that we should never underestimate, and that it is the great rotational forces exerted on structures, that can border the deformation of even solid objects

🌙Since it’s #MoonieMonday I thought I’d post an update on my Sera Myu Super Moon. Here is where she was left after not being able to finish for @fanimecon. It was such a bummer. I’m honestly not sure what I came away with on that experience. The two weeks of late nights and stress leading up to Fanime triggered a week long fibromyalgia flare up for me, which I just got over. It was frustrating and @windofthestars and I definitely had the wind taken out of our sails to work on these since. Now that life has calmed for me, I’m making a list of what needs to be done. There’s lots of snaps and small tacking on the collar and butt bow but also the wig needs lots of work. We stubbed them, added the ponytails over the stubs (accurate to the stage versions) and made separate odango buns that will be covered in wig fibers horizontally with a swirl of fibers on the back side (weird, I know). Those are actually attached with neodymium magnets for easy removal for travel and storage. I also plan to fill in the bangs more to hide the wefting better and ventilate a lacefront at the bang center. The ponytails will be encased in a nude-yellow net casing like the stage wig. The ends will be curled. I need the moons for my boot tops made and attached and the bodice will be completed with the last stage accurate trim from Japan!
