Okay I'm hyperfixated on Encanto for the 2922982882727261934th time, so! Some of the Batfam as members of the Madrigal family (excluding Abuela because I hate her):

Bruce is Isabela. Fight me on this if you dare. The one that was raised to be perfect and preserve the family, ends up pushing down their true emotions in hopes it helps everyone else. Completely backfires and ruins everyone's lives.

Jason is Mirabel. The outcast of the family that actually just wants to be good enough for them deep down.

Dick is Camilo. Obvious reasons. They both base their whole lives around pleasing, entertaining and making others happy, and probably have a really shitty sense of self.

Damian is Bruno. Everyone views them as the Bad/Evil ones of the family, when really all they've ever wanted was to have a family that loved them for who they are.

Tim is Dolores. I can't physically explain this I just feel it in my soul. Uhh.. Knows everyone's beef and issues. Family therapist in a way.

Alfred is Julieta. Albeit Alfred is definitely more (light-hearted British) sarcastic and passive aggressive lmao. They're the caring, true parental figures of the whole family. Everyone's parent. Will always be there to fix you up and feed you something tasty if you get injured.

halloween headcannons with the strawhats (modern strawhat au!!) characters luffy, zoro, sanji, usopp, nami and robin quick a/n i whipped this up in like 20 minutes... i know this is late but should i do a second part?? (please ask me to do law he is rhe love of my life)

he LOVES Halloween. he doesn’t really get the ideas and stuff behind it, but trick or treating is his THING.

he doesn’t necessarily get why he has to knock random people’s doors and say ‘trick or treat!!!1!!1!’ but he gets sweets anyways.

to me, luffy is in the middle about costumes, sometimes he just puts a stripey t shirt and is like ‘im a pirate!’ but sometimes he puts effort into his costume

they do end up looking terrible, but that’s how they’re cute!

he loves watching horror movies too! loves the coziness of cuddling with you in the middle of the night

sometimes… when little kids come for trick or treat she tricks them by giving the sweet to them and then taking it away last minute but then she feels really bad so she gives them another sweet

you guys also bake cookies for Halloween together

but overall, Halloween with nami is a very enjoyable and fun time where you guys get to dress up tons and no one asks 😊

Bruno raised an eyebrow at the Omega infront of him "you're not here for a reading?" He asked with disbelief dripping from his voice, taking a drag from his cigarette mid sentence with barely a fuck to give the Omega who had a look of determination.

"Don't you want to see the love of your life or some shit?"

"I don't want to know my future"

"Everyone wants to know their future"

"Not me" (name) shrugged and the Alpha scoffed "bullshit, you will eventually and some way it will be my fault"

Bruno sighed and stood, a towering seven feet tall and having to lean down to look at the other "and why would a little Omega like you want to come all this way to bring me this?" (Name) Was unwavering at the glowing green eyes and slight stubble on the Alphas face "I wish to court you"

Well wasn't he forward?

An Omega asking an alpha out like this, unheard of in this backwater town-- his mom would have had an aneurysm at the concept of an Omega breaking courting traditions but she lost her mind at basically anything so Bruno didn't care much about her thoughts and opinions.

But (name) of all people asking him out like this?

Bruno knew who (name) was, a male Omega was rare, (name) being the only one in town and had countless suitors chasing after him and yet this little thing wanted to court him?

Was he trying to piss his parents off?

He almost chucked at the other but he wasn't going to entertain his delusions.

He was no fool, especially to pretty omegas like (name).

And so the words came easy off his tongue.

"No" Brunos voice cold and clear, taking another drag of his cigarette while standing back up and looking down at him as he was nothing but instead of a teary eyed Omega, he saw determination "I was expecting you to say that, I'll be back tomorrow! Save space for lunch!" And with that the omega wandered off, the Alpha scoffing before putting out his cigarette with a glare.

He felt this omega was going to be a headache.

Everyday like clockwork he harassed the Alpha with delicious treats and meals, annoying him with conversation and frivolous nonsense.

"I just helped with my parents shop, my papa is planning on opening a cafe so people can read and have a nice drink and snack" Bruno didn't know why he let the other go on and on but he did, going through half a pack of cigarettes before (name) was gone for the day, always leaving food and a recent development; a paper creation that be left for him.

There was a collection building in Bruno's den.

He didn't know why he kept them but he did.

These days turned into months and before he knew it.

(Name) Was worming his way into the others life like a parasite.

It was late, (name) and Bruno sat in comfortable silence and the Alpha hadn't realized so much time passed when (name) slumped against his shoulder, sleeping contently and causing the Alpha to freeze unsure what to do.

But his alpha instincts had other plans, gently putting his head on his lap while petting his nape.

God what was he getting into...

Maybe he should see his own future...

But Bruno didn't want this... Whatever it was to end, deep down be knew he was beginning to care for the Omega and begrudgingly...

Oh how he could stare at those eyes for hours.

(Name) Closed his eyes once more and cuddled into him....

He wouldn't miss this chance to be close.

And that night was the best sleep (name) and Bruno ever had.

Bruno sighed as he lit a cigarette in an alleyway while everyone celebrates Juiletas wedding, the whole village in attendance as people danced and sang. "I don't think I could convince you to a dance, could I?" (Name) Asked with a slight teasing in his voice and the Alpha glanced at him bored "when the mountains move, I'll dance with you" the Alpha blew smoke in (name)s face, the other coughing slightly with a glare "so why are you hiding from your sisters wedding" (name) leaned against the wall beside him, the Alpha towering comparatively "I have no interest in this shit"

(Name) Hummed and pulled out something wrapped in a cloth from his jacket pocket and unwrapped an Empanada and took a bite before offering some to the Alpha, standing on his toes to get it to the others lips, Bruno raising an eyebrow at this "what are you doing?" His voice bland and slightly confused "I haven't seen you eat yet!" (Name) Huffed and the Alpha rolled his eyes before taking a bite, the food was fucking delicious but he was not about to admit that. "So...?" (Name) Asked hopefully and Bruno leaned down close, lips barely brushing before speaking "I had better" a bold faced lie that Bruno would never admit, seeing the others pout made him chuckle. "So why are you in an alley way with me hm? It's not proper for an Omega to be with an alpha while unmarked"

"It's rather dangerous, Omega" Bruno continued when the other looked confused "left alone with an alpha, anything could happen" it was an attempt to scare the other off but (name) just stared at him with blown out pupils, completely calm "you won't hurt me" (name) said simply and cupped the others face when it got close enough "oh? And how could you be so sure?" Bruno huffed amused, subconsciously leaning into the others touch "because you had countless times where you could have taken advantage of me but you havent"

"Many alphas would have taken any second to take advantage of that but you turned me away at every courting attempt, you don't care about my secondary gender... It's one of the reasons I fell for you" (name) admitted before kissing Bruno's cheek "and I'm in this alleyway with you because you're the only one at this party I want to be beside"

Bruno released the other from his hold, a look of uncertainty in his eyes towards the Omega who looked at him like he hung the moon.

"(Name)? There you are~" a slightly slurred voice called from the alleyway entrance, (name) visibly freezing at the sight of his most persistent suitor while Bruno could smell the faint scent of annoyance from the Omega "oh? And you're with the town's monster? How... Unique" Bruno glared at the other with a venom (name) didn't think was possible. "So Bruno, how is life? Cause more people misfortune? See someone having a miscarriage? Curse an old woman with the death of her husband?" These were things that Bruno had seen prior, things that made the village view him even worse, blaming him for the death of an old man and a baby who didn't have a chance to take their first breath.

"(Name), sweety" the suitor said getting closer and (name) could smell the alcohol on his breath "it would be in your best interest to get away from the likes of him, nothing but tragedy follows Bruno Madrigal" reaching towards (name) to get him away from Bruno but a large hand slapped it away.

Bruno looked murderous "I suggest you go back from which you came, wouldn't want to find out you lose your hair in the future, no?"

The suitors face morphed into one of anxiety and anger but turned away none the less and the two were left alone.

"You can't even do that, can you?" Turning around (name) looked around for the alpha but Bruno was no longer standing there, just (name) and the lingering scent of Bruno.

like that, Bruno was gone.

And (name) was by himself.

(Name) Tried to visit the Alpha the following morning, the Madrigal family watching with saddened expressions when (name) was rejected each and every time "he takes time to open up, give him Patience" Peppa said softly, worried clouds forming over her head while (name) smiled sadly "I know I can be quite forward with the things that my heart desires... I just... When I look at him it's like the world rights itself..." His voice wistful and so loving, it hurt that Bruno kept pushing him away... He knew he should accept that the Alpha didn't want him but he just couldn't step back...

It felt like fate to be with him.

So (name) came by every day and sat infront of the door, chatting to the Alpha about his families book store and even reading from the book he brought and when he had to leave, there was always a basket of treats for the Alpha.... But it seemed the only ones who enjoyed them were the rats.

"At least you enjoy them" (name) whispered to a rat that crawled from the basket, carefully lifting it into his hold "do you know what he's doing up there? If so could you give him this note?" The Omega carefully tied a note to the rat, surprised when the rat seemed to understand what he was conveying before running off.

Bruno's space was destroyed, the Alpha sweating and scratching at himself. He got too close! He got to close to (name), he could have hurt him!

After visit three, Bruno read his future with (name) and...

He saw (name) crying.

Alone and crying, holding a pup... Their pup.

And on his finger was a string...

He knew (name) was his soulmate...

He knew it but he didn't want to hurt (name) the way he would if he pursued the relationship.

But could he change fate? The future was set in stone was it not?

"He came by again...?" He could hear the omegas voice faintly travel through the vast room, his voice calming to his ears but painful for his heart.

(Destined one) He's definitely the type to help you with your emotional weather powers. Helping you stay calm, take deep breaths, and drinking tea(just like Félix😊) and even invited you to meditate with him. In regards to the "Guillermo del Toro Says “We Have to Rescue” Studio Animation From “Emoji-Style Behavior”" article/statement, do u have examples of animation that specifically is & is not this type of expression/animation? Bc it's rly hard for me to actually picture this and like I need examples ahaha

Disclaimer - I was not at this specific talk, so I don't have the full context and I know from reliable sources - friends of mine that DID attend it - that it's not all he said there, so that article is pretty much only relying spicy chosen bits. That being said, I will focus on this paragraph.

Getting more specific, he went on to detail what he despises about certain lazy proclivities in commercial animation, notably how characters and emotions are “codified into a sort of teenage rom-com, almost emoji-style behavior.” He added, “[If] I see a character raising his fucking eyebrow, or crossing his arms, having a sassy pose — oh, I hate that shit. [Why] does everything act as if they’re in a sitcom? I think it is emotional pornography. All the families are happy and sassy and quick, everyone has a one-liner. Well, my dad was boring. I was boring. Everybody in my family was boring. We had no one-liners. We’re all fucked up. That’s what I want to see animated. I would love to see real life in animation. I actually think it’s urgent. think it’s urgent to see real life in animation.”

What he talks about here is something I find omnipresent in modern American animation, or from studios that are funded by and/or trying to sell to americans (ex: Illumination McGuff). Here del Toro specifically mentions characters and emotions and how they are codified, which would include how characters are written, how animated their emotions and body language are, how they interact... He also mentions studio animation, an important distinction - this does not include indie animators!

A few things, adding * to those he's specifically calling out here, and more of my own that are not stated but I feel match the style

*one liners

*the "dreamworks face"

*sassy attitude

*quick banter

*taking poses

looking into the camera

overtly smooth, cartoony body language

characters explaining their emotions, plot resolutions around this

I will now get to examples, starting by a comparison between two animated films. Both of these films are contemporary, family-audience, french animated films. They share similarities in setting, being medieval fantasy fairytales about female heroes. One of these films was made with an american audience in mind (Pil), and the other caters to a french audience (Dragon Princess). You can compare how the characters act in both trailers:

Try and only focus on dialog, body language and expressions, barring art style and story!

Feature films that, in my opinion, also fit that "emoji style behaviour" (* for those I have not fully watched) any why:

Turning Red: the sass, the one liners, body language, camera looking, quick banter, plot resolution with characters explaining their emotions. The whole film fits

Puss in Boots: The last wish: sass, one liners, body language, banter, characters explaining their emotions. Scenes like Puss meeting his past lives and the dog's dialog are strong offenders

The emperor's new groove: sass, one liners, posing, banter

Encanto: sass, posing, banter; the explaining their emotions to drive the plot is ridiculously present to the point where I'd say del Toro was vagueing that one with the family example

Klaus: posing, banter, body language, explaining their emotions

*Nimona: sass, posing, banter, expressions...I only watched the trailer so can't say much but it leans HARD into the rapid fire quip territory with emotional resolution

*Trolls: sass, posing, banter, body language, camera looking...

Regarding films that do not do this, the quick answer would be...watch foreign (=not american) and/or older films. Nowadays with internet a massive catalogue is available, although the USA has such a monopoly on animation via its advertising budget other countries don't have that those films can be harder to find especially if you only use english-speaking internet.

As most studio animation is for a young or family audience and my entire example list above is, I will give some recommendations of films that are also for such an audience, but with older and worldwide picks. Some of these films are fully available on YouTube (although not in english always), so I'll be linking that when possible!

Mom is pouring rain (France, 2020s) (trailer): A shorter film about a little girl sent to live with her grandmother while her mom heals from depression. Has emotions front and center but expressed and animated in a way typical of modern french animation, with cartoony designs but subtler, more "boring" acting

The little prince and the eight headed dragon (Japan, 1960s): Beautifully animated in a style distinct from anime, this is a simple folktale adaptation. Fully on YouTube, albeit in its original english dub who's quality is frankly not great.

Next! (UK, 1990s): Stop motion short by an animator who specifically explores subtler, harder to animate expressions, as well as the art of theater, represented here by a Shakespear puppet playing out his works as a one-man show.

Ramayana (India, 1990s): Animated version of the legend of the same name, coupling a Ghibli art style with your ancient legend's large scale battles and polite heroes.

Ne Zha (China, 2010s)(trailer): that trailer is dead serious, it's actually a pretty damn silly movie! Including this one because as a big CGI animated film it's interesting to compare to what Pixar/Dreamworks/etc is doing.

...I'm realizing that I included a whole lot of animated folk tales so for modern chinese animation I'll also name Legend of Hei (2020s)(trailer), an original fantasy film with indie origins and a whole lot of over the top action.

As for films from the US that do NOT match that style? As a country the US has a rich history of animation asides of Disney! I personally grew up on Tex Avery and Looney Tunes cartoons who (pre-90s) are great examples of this.

Skipping Duke since he has his own powers already, we have Tim as Mirabel and Steph as Camilo. As tempting as it would be to switch them, I think there’s great angst potential in Steph never being sure if Bruce actually values her or just finds her powers useful.

Also angst in Tim being the only one without powers having to work to prove himself and Bruce being terrified as Jason has Luisa’s strength and was still struck down.

Outside of that Jason’s power doesn’t change that much, neither does Dick with Isabela’s powers, just now uses vines to swing around. Cass is a bit weird because she’d have Delores’ power, so now you have a girl who hears everything but can’t understand it. I mean it’d be helpful in the field, but I imagine it would get overstimulating quickly, especially trying to focus on one conversation while she’s just starting to learn English.

Finally we have Alfred, Barbara, and Bruce. I picked a random triplet for each since they’re the oldest, so Alfred gets magic healing cooking, obvs, Babs gets Bruno’s powers to match her Oracle branding (we’re not gonna talk about how this affects the killing joke or how Bruno made prophecies for others but never for himself ok?), and Bruce gets Pepa’s powers.

I mean like in a meta way Gotham was literally made to reflect Bruce's mental state, but what if that was true in universe? What if it's rained everyday since that night in the alley? What if you're trying to fix a city and you can't even fix your own brain? What if you're just making it worse? Worse weather, worse conditions, worse things you're willing to do to get out.

What if you're Batman, with an unreadable face, yet your emotion can be read on a thermometer?

What if you can't feel it in the Watchtower, but the weather warms up when you tell that old Bat a joke? What if the skies clear up when he knows you're flying to him?

What if you're Dick Grayson who can make the sunshine with your smiles? What if you're used to getting rained on when you try to talk?

What if you're Jason Todd, and the rainbow you once made only come out in the reflection on the hailstones he drops every time they mention your name? What if you once wanted nothing but thunder clouds, but now you want lightening to strike at everything but you?

A thought that occurred to me was that if Tripitaka has made a bubble while Wukong was flying him away from the Monster of the Week, was there ever like a moment where they ended up accidentally clanging around like a pinball?

Since I’ve seen criticism on Stephanie’s performance as Vaggie here and there, I feel like defending her a little bit.

As someone only got to know Stephanie since Hazbin Hotel, I was very surprised to look at her filmography on IMDb, because I had watched Encanto, Maya and the Three, Q-Force, The Legend of Vox Machina, One Day at A Time, and Modern Family way before Hazbin Hotel, but it never occurred to me once that these characters were played by the same VA / actor. I think it alone kind of speaks how versatile she is.

Some people say they find it weird that Vaggie singing voice does not matching her speaking voice, but I’ve been suspected the different voices were intentional since the beginning. If you listen to her lines in ‘Happy Day in Hell’, ‘You Didn’t Know’ and ‘Finale’ closely, Stephanie can actually sing at a lower register. ‘Whatever It Takes’ and ‘More Than Anything Reprise’ happen when Vaggie is alone by herself or with Charlie, where she feels private and safe to be entirely herself. I think someone as guarded as Vaggie, wears a tougher shell in public but has a softer interior deep down — her different voices are just a manifestation of the two sides of her.

What made me have more faith in my theory is that Stephanie revealed at TCC that Vivienne approached her to voice Vaggie. Since Vaggie’s background did change a lot from the pilot to the series, I assume that Viv pictured a different voice for Vaggie too. An actor who has the range to deliver very different voices. Being a queer Latina is probably a plus.

What I learnt about Stephanie throughout a year catching up on her multiple works is that she does take her craft seriously. If you watch enough of her voiceover works outside Hazbin Hotel, you will know she absolutely has the ability to convey various emotions in her voice, even in that iconic gruffer Rosa Diaz voice. So the reason some people criticize that she sounds “not there” or “not putting in effort” as Vaggie is more likely due to the direction that she was given. Voiceovers are different from live-actions where actors do not get the full scripts often and do not even opposite the other actors most of the time, so they rely a lot on the voice directors giving them instructions. Again back to that Viv knows what voice she wants for her characters, I think that the very monotone performance is also intentional.

P.S. I had the thought of asking Stephanie about Vaggie’s voice acting at her TCC solo panel but the line for Q&A was too long so I settled with watching the panel at a closer distance. Maybe next time. Or wait for Viv to finally open up more about Vaggie’s changes from the pilot to the series one day *fingers crossed* (sometimes I get the weird feeling that Viv has been avoiding talking about Vaggie in depth due to spoilers)

I don't know why no one has ever thought to give this little guy the Carlos treatment. If you've been in the Encanto fandom and simped on Camilo, you know what I'm talking about.

Just picture the gang meeting Pavitr's family and Chander is just chilling on the couch playing Mario Kart or something and the gang is like...what?!

Emo boy here hates the fact that he's the younger twin...and much shorter than his brother. From his perspective, it sucks. It's so weird, they were the same height one day and overnight Pavitr just shot right up!

Chander doesn't understand it, where's his growth spurt?! It doesn't help that Pavi likes to tease him about it.

Smart ass to the fullest degree and a cocky SNARKY bastard. His quips are just as fast as his brothers but probably a LOT meaner. He has no filter and doesn't try to have one either.

He tries to be seen as nonchalant but this lil guy is an eternal flame baby. For some reason he was born with anger so....yeah, anger issues. He stumped his toe this morning? It's everybody's problem now.

Please believe me when I say he's a sweetheart, he just has a very antagonistic face. He'll help his aunty, parents, or brother out no questions asked, feed the street cats (dogs too but he's more of a cat person), tutor some kids here and there, etc.

Don't touch his hair! The only person reserved to do that is his mom and even she has to chase him down to comb that bird's nest he calls hair.

Chand knows his brother is Spiderman and does "not" care all too much. Great, something else Pavitr can one up him in doing. LOVELY!

Has been in multiple school fights...gods this boy gives his parents grey hairs. Turns out he's more inclined to throw a fist at disrespect than his brother is. He comes home with more injuries than Pavi does on a bad day.

Cusses like a sailor when adults aren't around. Pavitr is used to it at this point, so he doesn't bat an eye. Usually.

Chander is cool with Pavitr's friends, Likes Hobies the most though. They match each other's chaotic energy so to speak.

Some of his hobbies include cooking, reading, coin collecting, and playing games, and making weapons (with a 3D printer and they are FAKE! Well...most of em). He wants to be a game developer when he's older because they games out now just aren't doing it for him. Well, besides Mario Kart, COD, Little nightmares, and FNAF. (And secretly animal crossing...shhh, don't tell anyone).

Very stand off-ish if that wasn't clear. He'll make it known if he doesn't feel like being bothered at that moment.

Parkour savy so most of the injuries he comes home with are just scuff marks.

Has his own pocketknife that he secretly made himself. It's engraved with his name on it but much to his dismay, he doesn't use it often.

Even with school fights or fights outside the school with people his age, he refrains using his knife 'cause he doesn't want his parents on his case about it.

Plus, his fists and his gold brace knuckles help him enough.

How did you decide which concept character was who's kid in your Encanto au?

Miranda: Miranda was automatically one of Bruno's once I decided to pair him up with Alejandra. The two women look far too similar to not be related.

Amelia and Sofía: I read a fic where the twins were Bruno's daughters, and really liked the idea. Plus, they look similar enough to Alejandra, but with Bruno's skin tone, I think it's believable they could be their spawn.

Princesa: I knew for sure I wanted Isabela to have a new "golden child" burdened by their gift, and Princesa fit that role nicely. I was also having trouble fitting her due to her random blonde hair, and since Isa adopts her kids, genetics didn't really matter.

Fuega: Fuega's whole thing seemed to be her annoyance at her "perfect" sister, so I made her Isabela's daughter -Princesa's sister- to reflect that.

Mariana: I saw someone use her, and just wanted to lol. Needed a third kid for Isabela, figured she'd work just fine.

Leta: Since she was supposed to be Pepa's twin, I figured making her her granddaughter was a good way to connect the two, and explain the physical similarites. She also matches Dolores and Mariano physically fairly well.

Andrés: Needed more boys, so I dug around in the Bruno concepts. This guy looked suprisingly like Dolores, with the darker skin and the curls, so I picked him.

Carlos: Had to use the famous Carlos. Since Camilo doesn't have bio kids, I gave him to Dolores to explain why he looks so much like Camilo. And looking at him, he actually resembles Mariano a lot lol.

Avila and Amada: When I raised Dolores and Mariano's kid count to five, I needed two more, and so I picked the two older twins from the girl cousins page. They have Dolores's ears and Pepa's smile, how could I not?

Tom��s and Rómulo: Knew I wanted to use these guys from the begining (thanks for the idea!) but placing twins was hard, since I was acting under a strict 'three kid' rule for myself. I gave them to Luisa, since a) she was adopting so I didn't have to worry about genetics, and b) I rationalized that she would have kids the youngest kids, and be the last to have them, because she needed to work on her self care, and having kids is just about the opposite of that.

Zoe: Same reasons as the twins pretty much.

Hugo: Also an idea from you! He was originally Mirabel and Bubo's (because of his rockin hair and 'stache combo) but Óscar ended up being a better pick for those two. Thought it'd be nice to give the loud Camilo a quiet kid for a nice challenge.

José: He needs no introduction. It's obvious, even if he's adopted, that he's Camilo's kid.

Héctor: Since both Bruno and Isabela ended up with all girls, I wanted at least one of 'em to have all boys to even things out a bit. So I found a concept of Antonio I liked, and used him as Camilo's third.

Óscar: He was originally Bruno's, but when I added Bubo in, I realized how similar they looked, with the hair and the nose, and liked the idea of Mirabel having a kid with an "odd" gift.

Beatriz: She's a beta Mirabel. They look too similar to be anything else imo

Lidia: I just loved this early Luisa concept so freaking much. Thought she looked emough like Mirabel to be hers, and also gave her Bubo's stature (they both shorties lol)

I really need to update them though especially since I had wedding lore for Lore itself more fleshed out.

AS FOR THEIR WEDDING SONG...maaan I really need to put time aside to specifically put together their actual wedding playlist. There are both SO MANY choices for them yet none because all the songs I have picked for them are too fast pace for a more traditional wedding vibes...I DID cheat a little while answering this ask and look up a list of good R&B songs to play at weddings and found out Jamie Foxx and Beyonce's duet "When I First Saw You" is a REALLY good fit for these two.

When it comes to guests, they would def invite all their close friends (so everyone in Briar Patch basically). Pinokuni is def Jack's best man with Kai being one of his groomsmen while Ashe is for sure one of Nana's bridesmaids along with Xia being a bridesmate.

I see Jack and Nana getting married as the cliche fairytale ending for Beanstalked so Jack SOMEHOW accidentally invites all the cool folks they met throughout their journey together. He'd do it in the "I wanna be nice just so no one feels personally excluded because all these guys were really nice and helped us save the world" and not really expect anyone to truly show up save for 3 or 4 people...

...and then Jack and Nana find out "Oh everyone we sent an invite to actually showed up and now we actually have to figure out how to seat 50+ people in one location"

So it started off initially planned to be lowkey only for it to become VERY highkey at the last second.

It isn't much of a problem though because the spot they have their wedding is outside. SPECIFICALLY at Nana's dad's final resting place..which sounds wild BUT LEMME EXPLAIN--

When he died, he purposely made sure he was in his big ass wolf form so that he wouldn't be hauled off by hunters and taken from his family. So there is a giant wolf skeleton that is located in the Lupine Forest that is kind of one with nature now so it's covered in greenery. It's a little unsettling to those unaware of the lore behind it while also still being serene. Nana goes there often when things get too hard so she can talk to her dad.

She wanted to have her wedding there so she could make sure her dad was present. And Jack was more than willing to oblige her.

Miraculously, even with the giant guest list, everything goes off without a too much of a hitch. I wouldn't say entirely smoothly since that's a lot of people and there's some shenanigans afoot especially at the wedding reception since that's when everyone parties.

BUT it's a very fun experience for them both, even for Nana who is the #1 antisocial of the village.

The couple did take a very well deserved honeymoon in a much quieter place afterwards though. Poor things had to recharge and fully process they were husband and wife now.

Okay ngl I didn’t know what pepa’s gift was (haven’t watched Encanto and I think that’s what it’s from) but I looked it up and I incorporated it in to the best of my ability!

Summary: Your quirk is affected by your emotions. How will your yanderes deal with that?

Notes: These are separate headcanons for each of the 3 characters.

TAKAMI KEIGO (HAWKS)

Hawks first notices you when he’s out patrolling the streets. The sky is as sunny as your smile and he simply returns a grin, checking you out a little while doing so.

It’s not until the next day that he really notices you, though.

It’s storming so hard that he’s having trouble flying- but only in an isolated part of the city. Everywhere else is calm, so it must be someone’s quirk, he thinks.

When he flies into the heart of the storm, he expects to see a villain. Instead, he finds you, sobbing into your hands and curled up on the dirty cement.

You cheer up immediately when you see him, a famous pro hero, and the storm clears almost immediately. Sun peaks through the dark clouds until they cease to exist, all because of him.

He’s honestly flattered. More than flattered, really. It’s almost addictive, the knowledge that he’s the one that calmed your storm.

You tell him about the villains that held you at gunpoint and stole your purse and he’s so seething mad that he’s surprised a storm hasn’t appeared over his head.

He’s rougher than he needs to be when he catches the villains. They’re in rougher shape than usual when he hands them off to his sidekicks.

He goes back to check on you, see the look on your face when he hands you back your purse and tells you that those villains won’t be bothering you again. You’re smiling so brightly that it makes his knees weak.

You don’t leave your house often, but when you do, he’s your eye in the sky. He even blows off some of his scheduled patrols to watch over you.

Every time that something is off with you- be it a lightning storm or just a slight sprinkle of rain, he feels a need to know just what it is that upset you, and to somehow fix it and bring the sun back into your life.

He wants to be your sunshine, the constant factor to keep that beautiful smile on your face and the clouds far away.

He begins to feel jealous that others make you happy. Angry that you have friends. Furious when someone flirts with you.

He’ll keep trying to make you happy and do his best to drive others off without upsetting you.

After all, he’ll always know how you’re feeling just by looking at you.

TODOROKI SHOTO

When Shoto first met you, he thought you had a fire quirk. After all, you were quite literally burning with righteous fury.

It took a long time of observation for Shoto to realize that you weren’t some secret long-lost Todoroki child and that your quirk was something else entirely.

He watched as you cried literal rivers when you were sad, turned fire engine red across your entire body when you were embarrassed (even your clothes turned red!), and, yes, created tall flames whenever you were angry.

Somehow, he felt like he could relate with you a little, when you had a quirk related to fire, but there was one thing he couldn’t match.

You were so expressive.

Not just quirk-wise, no. Your facial expressions and body language always matched whatever your quirk was doing, and Shoto almost wished he could do the same.

But he was awkward, had trouble expressing his emotions. The only emotion he expressed well was anger, and that’s the emotion that gave you fire.

A connection, perhaps?

Fate?

Shoto longs to grow closer to you, but he settles for watching you every time he’s home. After all, you are his neighbor.

He likes to see your fury fire a little too much. Maybe that’s why he’s always instigating issues with you.

Sneaking into your house and stealing things he knows you’ll need just to see frustrated flames spread up your back while you tear your home apart looking for it.

Throwing things into your yard to watch your hair light up as you angrily snatched the trash off the grass, muttering about “stupid litterers”.

It’s not right for him to enjoy seeing you with a negative emotion so much, but he can’t help it. A sick part of him feels like he can relate most this way.

And Shoto just can’t stop himself.

BAKUGOU KATSUKI

You were always a sight to behold when you were feeling any way other than neutral.

Bakugou liked all of your emotions, if he were to be honest to himself for once. He would never admit that aloud, of course.

You glow brighter than the sun when happy, nearly blinding him with your otherworldly beauty.

You burst into flames when you’re angry, the flames always lighting up your features in the most flattering of ways.

And when you were sad? You cried fountains of water while you drooped like a wilting flower, shrinking a little and looking frailer than ever before.

Would you believe that sadness was Bakugou’s favorite of your emotions?

Sure, you were beautiful when happy and got him pumped up when angry, but when you were sad?

He just wants to scoop you up in his muscular arms and feel your now-tiny form in his own.

He wants to wipe your tears away until they trickled off and no longer spouted wildly from the corners of your eyes.

He wanted to cheer you up a little, to watch you turn from a wilted little flower into a lightly-glowing, sheepishly-giggling mess.

He likes your sadness so much that he finds himself saying terrible things to you, just to watch that transformation.

He feels guilty after saying and doing awful things, to be the cause for your sadness.

But to see you shivering and sobbing below him?

Worth it every time.
