Cilibrinas do Éden (1973)

Nada mais triste que a ida da Rita Lee esse ano, mas mesmo ela tendo um grande número de discos solo e com os mutantes, esse disco das Cilibrinas do Éden me parece tão revolucionário quanto toda a cena de discos de mulheres no cenário mundial do rock na década de 70, mantendo a psicodelia, mas com um certo tom de deboche e um teclado ainda meio beatles. • Luli e Lucina (1979)

Lucina vive, e é honra poder ouvir, mas a perda da Luli na música brasileira faz desde antes esse disco e toda a história desse duo uma das maiores simplicidades mágicas e grandiosas que passou pela música brasileira. Então, sem poder colocar este disco que hoje é raridade indico ainda todo o lindo trabalho da Lucina e a lembrança das canções que a Luli deixou.

Beth Carvalho foi uma das vozes mais emblemáticas do samba na música popular, deixando muitas interpretações de canções que ainda embalam o samba em sua grandiosidade. Voz da Mangueira em hino de carnaval, deixou o Rio mais verde e rosa e mais triste com sua partida. • Elza Soares - A Mulher do Fim do Mundo (2016)

Elis Regina foi tanto e tudo no Brasil que poderia levar horas para escolher um disco e lembrar dela, mas esse vinil dela com o Jair Rorigues é um disco pouco conhecido que traz um pouco de um lado calmo e repleto de um batuque quente de Jair Rodrigues que somado ao encanto que é a voz firme da Elis é um disco que eu colocaria entre meus preferidos de samba, mesmo que longe de ser lembrado como suas outras leituras e parcerias. É um disco leve, uma Elis que gosto de ouvir alegre, alma que acompanha meu ouvir desde sempre.

• Cássia Eller - Acústico MTV (2007)

Ouvia esse cd em um perdido discman da panasonic, e não tem uma ordem ou geração, mas cada voz aqui tem sua força e a de Cássia era irreverência, era cantar em francês e ainda ser aquele arranhado roco único de quem grita não ser uma garotinha. Veio e foi breve, deixando letras e coragem a todas as cantoras que vieram depois. • Astrud Gilberto - Astrud Gilberto (1965)

Astrud foi enanto na bossa nova e partiu leve nesse ano que também levou Carlos Lyra, baiana tão estrangeira em seu ser impossível de se pertencer a um rótulo ou local, deu leveza e suavidade as grandes canções eternizadas do samba e da bossa nova brasileira.

"Need help getting that, amor?" 

Y/N turned around to see a teasing smirk on Luisa's face. There was a definite height difference between the two of them, something that Luisa would love to point out whenever she got the chance. And unfortunately for Y/N, the cookie jar had been set on a suspiciously high shelf, and of course Luisa had to see it.

Screwing up her face in frustration, Y/N huffed, "I'm perfectly capable of reaching the cookies, Luisa."

"Whatever you say," Luisa chuckled, watching in amusement as Y/N stood oh her tippy toes, still failing to reach the cookie jar.

Another minute had gone past of Y/N struggling, and Luisa trying to hold back laughter, when the sounds of Y/N's struggling came to an end.

"Luisa..." Y/N mumbled.

"Yes Y/N?" she asked, her teasing smirk only widening.

Sighing, Y/N asked the inevitable question, "Can you get the cookie jar for me?"

"What was that?"

Sighing, Y/N spun around to face Luisa, glaring at her when she saw how much she looked like she was enjoying this, "Can you reach the cookie jar for me?"

Standing up from the table, Luisa made her way over to her girlfriend, holding back her laughter.

"What's the magic word, princesa?"

Frowning, Y/N whispered through gritted teeth, "Please. Can you please get me the cookie jar?"

Luisa smiled, "Of course, mi amor," Luisa lifted her hand up to the top shelf, reaching the cookie jar with ease. 

With a frown still glued to her lips, Y/N took the cookie jar from Luisa's hands, "Thank you."

"Hey," Luisa began, gently placing a hand on Y/N's cheeks, lifting up her face to make eye contact, "What's the matter?"

"You. Why are you so tall?"

Luisa laughed, earning another frown from Y/N, "It's not my fault you're shorter than everyone."

With a huff, Y/N crossed her arms, "I am not."

"Are too," the Madrigal chuckled.

"Am not."

"Hey, it's ok," Luisa began, grabbing Y/N by the hips to lift her up onto the bench. Luisa crouched slightly to be at eye level, "It's kinda cute."

Y/N's cheeks immediately heated up at Luisa's words, though she tried to not let it show.

"Shut up," she muttered, her voice muffled as she tried hiding her cheeks with her shirt.

"Why? It's true."

"You're the cute one," Y/N mumbled, attempting to redirect the focus, unintentionally making Luisa's cheeks blush bright red.

"Uhhh..."

"Are you... blushing?" Y/N asked, her grin widening at Luisa's flustered state.

"No! I-it's just hot in here..."

Y/N gasped with happiness, "Oh my gosh! I didn't know I could make you blush!"

"I'm not blushing!" Luisa squeaked, her voice getting higher.

Before Y/N could say anything, Dolores poked her head in through the door, "Luisa, you good? Your heart's beating like, crazy."

"Aww!" Y/N gushed, smiling when Luisa's cheeks went even redder, if that were even possible.

"It's fine, Dolores. I'm fine. It's all good!"

Dolores noticed Luisa's bright blush, and Y/N's wide grin, and immediately understood, "Ok then." she squeaked, before walking off.

Smirking, Y/N turned her attention back to Luisa, "So... what else can I do to make you blush?"

"Pft, d-don't waste your time, Y/N. I doubt you'll make me blush anymore." Luisa stuttered, knowing full well that Y/N could easily make her blush.

"Oh really?" 

"Mm-hm," Luisa hummed, unable to produce words at the time.

"Soo... Not even by doing this?"

With no warning, Y/N grabbed Luisa's shoulders, smashing her lips against hers.

Pulling away slowly and breathlessly, Luisa whispered, "Yeah... that'll do it."

The two stayed in a comfortable silence, just enjoying each other's pretense's, as if they were the only two in the world.

I took the ending as, the family realizes she knows what she's done is wrong and they realize that she'll be taking steps into becoming a better person. Another thing, this is a kids movie and almost everytime someone apologizes, it's as if movies take a guideline out of improv and can't reject offers of apologies (yes, and guideline) because of runtime or whatever. Now would it have been better if there was a better apologize shown through actions and it wasn't so quick? Yes. But honestly, the whole movie had a quicker pace to me. I was fine with it though. But that's just my two cents

So I started writing a Bruno fanfic.  I wanted to write something delving into his past and also showing how his life is after he returns to the family.  I know it’s Disney, so they have to wrap the movie up with a nice happy ending for the kids.  But in reality?  This family has a lot of baggage to unpack.  And it’s going to be a long and rocky road.

Then, as I was thinking about how the story could go, I had the idea of Mirabel getting a gift of her own - the ability to look into and show others the past - and how she might use that to reveal where the cracks may have started, where they may still be hidden under the surface, and help her family continue to heal.  

For most of the people in the family and the Encanto, Mirabel’s gift would be one that brings joy and nostalgia.  Bruno, however, avoids it like the plague.  He’s also having trouble readjusting to life back with the family, as Mirabel keeps finding him off hiding in his little nook in the walls.

Feeling somewhat responsible for Bruno’s time in isolation, and with a growing curiosity about her Tio’s life, Mirabel vows to find a way to use her gift to help him face his painful past so that he may move forward into a brighter future.

Trigger warnings: Deals with mental health issues like anxiety, depression, the effects of isolation, agoraphobia, avoidant personality disorder, etc.  I know the conversation as to what issues Bruno is suffering from is kind of up for debate, but for my fic I’m kind of drawing from my own experiences with said mental health issues and dysfunctional family dynamics.  Because I relate to Bruno way too much than I want to admit and and writing from his perspective is strangely cathartic.
