how was their confession? I don't think cellbit have much knowleged about romance after spending half of his life isolated, so I'm curious.

He did a lot of research, okay?? He asked Bad for advice, he read SO MANY BOOKS. He had no idea what he was doing but he tried soooo hard to make it perfect

Here’s how it went down:

Cellbit asked Roier to join him for dinner. This was normal. They ate alone in Cellbit’s chambers. This was also normal.

Dinner was what Cellbit thought Roier’s favorite food was, but. It wasn’t. Because it was just what the knights all ate, standard.

Roier laughed at the way Cellbit’s face fell when he found out, and he reached across the table and took Cellbit’s hand in his and smiled assuredly.

“Hey, it’s fine,” he said.

“No, it isn’t. I was trying to-”

“Gatinho. It’s fine.”

Roier squeezed Cellbit’s hand. Cellbit blushed. Roier blushed as well, only mostly understanding why.

“I wanted this to be special,” Cellbit admitted.

“It is. Any night with you is special.”

“Gods, you’re romantic.”

“Am I not supposed to be? …Do you want me to be?”

“Gods, yes. Yes. Romantic. Yes.”

And then they kissed, yay!

emo fantasy au question: does the royal family ever decide cellbit doesn’t need to be locked away anymore? if so, how does he feel and what happens? is he immediately whisked away to be a prince again? what does he want to do? you mentioned before he might like to write some books, does he ever do so?

(sorry for so many questions, answer whichever ones u want lol. i just like all ur aus a lot and feel the need to show my enthusiasm with questions)

So eventually Bagi takes the throne as the Queen, and she says, okay, it’s been over a decade, he’s gotta be better by now, so she calls him back to the capital.

And Cellbit does… okay? He isn’t running around killing people, and he only really threatens to kill people sometimes. He’s smiling, at least, so there’s that.

Bagi has always fully answered entirely believed that Cellbit was cursed, so she takes his good behavior to mean the curse was broken. Thanks, Roier! You did your duty! You broke his curse!

Meanwhile Roier has never believed in the curse because he, unlike a majority of the kingdom, has seen war. He knows what it does to a person, so he just rolls his eyes and corrects the goddamn queen and the entire court holds their breaths. But Cellbit? His eyes are so soft, he’s never really been this understood in his life.

But even in the capital and its much nicer castle, Cellbit stays in the library or he’s in the gardens with Roier or he’s in their shared chambers. He writes, and he pretends that he’s happy to be home when, really, Bagi and the palace remind him of everything he never got to have.

It’s Roier who suggests it first:

“Why don’t we just… go?”

And then they do.
