Req ~ Hello!! Can I request a Leo Valdez x reader where Leo really likes readers hugs and just melts into them

A/n: I added some extra

You two met, fell in love and got together

Someway, somehow, Leo had not given you an actual hug

Like you two would joke, lean on each other, you’ve even kissed idk how many times

But the hugs you’ve shared only ever lasted for like a second

Then, one day you just decide to hug him

It was random and out of nowhere, not that it mattered

This was the first time that the itch Leo had for physical affection was finally scratched

He doesn’t remember how long you two stood there, just embracing, but he does remember how much he loved the hug

He practically melted, molding to fit in your arms perfectly

This doesn’t go unnoticed either

He teases and makes jokes, but you can tell he really looks forward to any affection you give him, especially these hugs of yours

So give them to him, we all know how desperately blud needs them

Eventually it becomes a daily occurrence

So much so that Leo becomes absolutely and utterly shameless

Always going to see you (whether you’re at camp, the Waystation, your house, etc) just to receive some affection

(The distance won’t be too long since you’re inseparable)

Others begin noticing and your friends at camp, Emmie and Jo, even Festus 😭 begin to tease him

I mean Jo was one of the people that Leo talked to about you (mainly for advice) so it was inevitable

Aside from just liking them, Leo feels absolutely safe when you hug him

He’s barely been introduced to the demigod lifestyle (in comparison to you probably)

So being able to relax is a limited luxury

There was always this or that, and if it wasn’t, it was something entirely else

Even before he met Piper and Jason, went to camp half blood and built the Argo-

He was couch surfing for a good while (can only be described that way since he was hardly ever at his foster homes) no security whatsoever and had no idea what tomorrow would be like

Especially when he’d sleep under the Houston bridge

At least now when you hold him he allows himself to be himself than just joking all the time as a way to cope

Plus, you really just make him feel like he isn’t the “7th wheel”

Honestly a firm believer that you hugging him would cure all his problems

Which is why he always goes to you when he’s had a bad day

Maybe it was when you guys visit camp and he has to wait to see you, or after school when you guys have no classes together and he’s just exhausted

Even without an excuse he’ll still look for you.

Today a friend and fellow camper had gotten harmed while you two practiced (truly a story for another time) and so you had to accompany her to the infirmary. Not just because you cared, but was also just worried overall.

Leo must’ve heard from a Dionysus kid through the grapevine because one moment you’re by your friends side as Will is treating her and the next Leo is at your side.

At first he’s apprehensive and skims his eyes over you from head to toe, once he sees that you’re not hurt he sighs and starts sulking.

Just a playful and weirdly funny habit he’s learned (?)

“I thought you were hurt when I heard that you had come to the infirmary” honestly a pretty valid assessment.

“Awww” you’re babying him, just to tease his previous behavior “I’m sorry I worried you”

You went in and gave him a wholehearted hug, just to emphasize your point you began soothing the back of his head.

And to add some theatrics, you began swaying him back and forth.

Usually Leo loved to be affectionate and open back, but seeing as he got caught in his arguably cringe response, well…

Leos face immediately flushed and despite it, he still hugged you back, melting into your arms.

He didn’t argue, didn’t say anything really. Maybe he just wanted to get rid of the humiliation he felt.

Reyna is visiting the Waystation, and apart from some awkwardness between Leo and Calypso still, everything is going well. They all feel like a strange second family to her, in a different way than the Legion had.

So that's why it bugs her when after dinner she notices Leo flinch out of the corner of her eye as Jo pats him on the shoulder - congratulating him on some invention or another. Jo didn't seem to notice, no one did. But, Reyna saw it.

Cornering him later, Reyna asks him point blank if Jo had hurt him at all. As out of character as it seemed, Reyna knew better than most how people could change, or only show a different side to themselves in private. But Leo looks shocked, shaking and crossing his arms in front of himself in a big X shape.

No, no, no, he insists. Jo would never. It wasn't her, it was just a reflex, Leo explains.

Reflexes come from repetition, Reyna counters, and Leo deflates slightly. His face does this half smiling thing, like his mask is melting off slowly. Before he'd died, Jason had told her that Leo wasn't exactly what people thought - or what Leo wanted them to think. They might not have liked the comparison, but he reminded her of Nico in that way.

I had a foster mother who... Leo trails off, but he makes a half hearted fist and swinging motion with a skinny arm. It said enough, he didn't have to explain more.

Reyna tells him she'll talk to Jo and Emmie about it, but that makes him blanch harder. He doesn't want them to act weird around him, doesn't want to be pitied or judged.

They're your moms, Reyna says. They're not going to pity you, they love you.

It seems to give Leo pause, a great feat for him.

You should talk to them, Reyna says again, quieter, less of her Praetor voice sneaking in. Leo agrees, and gives her a short hug before darting off somewhere.

Cristina & Burke >>> Cristina & Owen

Burke wasn’t perfect but at least he realised he couldn’t change Cristina and so he did the best thing for both of them by leaving. Obviously leaving someone on the altar is shitty but like in the long run it’s a good thing.

Apart from that, as a couple they were so sweet like if you just watch old clips of them dancing and just living in their apartment and he’s all neat and she’s all messy but it’s just cute!!!

Owen is literally the worst. I don’t even need to explain this one. There were moments where I felt kind of bad for him but overall he is just the worst.

Teddy and Henry were such a cute couple, their story was so sweet and I wish he would’ve stayed alive so they would’ve been endgame.

The scene where Teddy comes home to find Henry throwing up blood on their sink 🥺🥺 When I tell you I cried so hard!!! To me they were top five couples of Greys idec.

They RUINED Callie’s character! She was so good and badass when she was first introduced and then they gave her the worst exit ever. I loved Callie but her last arc aka the custody battle really made me hate her.

Izzie is overhated! I love Izzie and she’s my fav character. Yes cutting the LVAD wire was wrong but she was desperate and in love.

Katherine Heigl (Izzie) CARRIED the first five seasons of this show especially season 2. Her acting was so brilliant, it’s insane. Actually, Katherine Heigl and Sandra Oh (Cristina) carried, and deservedly won Emmys and Golden Globes for their roles bc they were brilliant.

Izzie x Alex >>> Izzie x Denny. Izzex was THE Grey’s couple in the early seasons after MerDer. She changed him 🥺 he changed for her. Their wedding was beautiful, everything about them was beautiful except how she left him but I sort of understood after everything she’d been through. Just know it wouldn’t have panned out like that in storyline if Shonda didn’t have a problem with Katherine. But they got their happy ending in season 16 which I was SO happy about. My fav couple ever. Like I felt bad he left Jo but HE ALWAYS LOVED IZZIE MORE.

I feel like Lexie is overloved? I mean she was a really nice and funny character and she was lovely but why is she people’s favourite character ranked above Cristina and others??? Lexie’s storylines were never really big or important, why are you liking a character just bc they are nice?? Like Sandra Oh didn’t deliver such AMAZING performances for y’all to pick Lexie over her bc she’s “nice”.

CRISTINA WAS THE HEART OF THE SHOW! Which is why I stopped watching at the end of season 10 the moment she left!!! Her dramatic scenes, her comedy, her everything was perfect.

I honestly feel like the central relationship of the show was the friendship and bond between Meredith and Cristina. It was the crux of the show. It was heartwarming watching them be so close, almost telepathically connected without even saying anything.

George was VERY pick me in the early seasons, but he was a GOOD guy and it showed by his actions. Also the way he was so brave in a quiet way.

The scene with Izzie in her prom dress getting in the elevator and the doors open to reveal George in his army uniform showing he died WAS PEAK CINEMA. I CRIED SO HARD.

Alex was genuinely really mean to George up till George died and for no reason?!? He just didn’t like George at all and bullied him and it was uncomfortable to watch like bro it’s been five seasons WHY DO YOU STILL HATE HIM. Like Alex had started being nice to the girls by that point but he was still horrible to George??? I wish I’d seen their friendship develop.

DEREK was a dick. Like at the beginning. I just didn’t like him at all. He grew on me a bit but I honestly didn’t care that much that he died. He had his good moments but first three seasons he was a dick to both Meredith and Addison. I understand why with Addison bc she cheated on him, but he was so awful to Meredith when she was sleeping around and he basically called her a whore??? BRO YOU ARE THE ONE WHO REJECTED HER AND CHOSE ADDISON?!? Bye lmao

Bailey was SO good in the early-mid seasons. Like just so entertaining to watch and honestly Chandra Wilson is the third person who carried the show along with Katherine and Sandra. But she got annoying in later seasons.

But Bayley and Cristina in the shooting episode was top tier acting. You could FEEL their emotions through the screen.

Grey’s Anatomy doesn’t have the same magic anymore since Cristina left. I really don’t like any of the new characters like Maggie or even Amelia or any of the new guys. And OWEN IS STILL THERE WTF.

Besides that, here are some scenes where I felt like the acting was brilliant:

— When Cristina is performing surgery under gunpoint.

— Izzie when Denny dies. I think the best acting performance of the whole show. “An hour ago he was proposing and now he’s going to the morgue.”

— Cristina when Burke left her on their wedding day, “he’s gone, I’m free”

— Bailey in the shooting episode.

— When George remembers that he slept with Izzie when they were drunk. The scene doesn’t even have any dialogue yall, it’s just their EXPRESSIONS are so good. It’s my favourite scene in the whole show. It’s so emotional and dramatic and only a few seconds long.

— Probably others but I don’t remember.

The Torture of Being a Personal Heater

Winter post… sort of

It had started before you two even got together

It was unusually chilly, and so you were naturally attracted to the warmest thing in the vicinity

Aka Leo

You stuck to him like glue despite the fact you two never really interacted

Which should’ve been foreshadowing or atleast a glimpse of what being with you would be like

Especially once the weather got chillier and fall turned to winter

He was your designated personal heater

You always held tight next to him at school during the winter months once you two sort of settled at the Waystation

Even when you’re not at the new place you’ve learned to call home- you’re still holding onto him because if you had to describe it in some way shape or form- it’s like he creates a bubble of heat around you two

And you really don’t plan on letting go anytime soon

Luckily this only occurs during Winter because if not then gods so help Leo, he will literally suffer from a heat stroke

Then when he gains consciousness, will argue it’s because he’s too hot (wink wink)

- anyway

Leo doesn’t really mind that you’re drawn to him because of this

I mean he sort of finds it funny and occasionally teases you for it but otherwise it’s just his way of life now

(Adding to the irony of the title)

Especially if you run cold, Leo would actually prefer you lean on him than have you shivering and timbering while he’s all nice and cozy

Now,…

If the only reason you’re actually leaning and resting your head on Leo in the first place is to be able to exert your clinginess without rising suspicion-

Congrats! You’ve succeeded

Homeboy does NOT realize anything is amiss since most of his other friends also use him for warmth

Which can be a tad torturous but he endures it nonetheless-)

He’ll happily hold your hand in his if he gets to hear how warm he is come from you

He does NOT care

But if if Leo hasn’t noticed your clinginess by now-

(Probably blindsided by his own

-you better believe that basically everyone else has

Other residents at the Way station will just roll their eyes playfully and shake their heads at the sight

Eventually Leo finds out that you’re just clingy asf

He really doesn’t get why you’d keep that to yourself, especially since he’s always happy to cuddle

But then again he can’t be talking with all his insecurities that he keeps to himself-

Anyway! Atleast now Leo understands you a tad better than he did a few seconds ago

The only instance where I can think being near you would be close to torturous is when you’re warmly bundled under the covers with Leo

It was a lucky instance considering all of Emmies and Jo’s regulations when couples sleep together-

Anyway

You’re there cuddling and what really Ircks him is if your cold hands brush against his stomach or if your cold ass feet touch his leg or something

He will be startled

And he won’t do anything else really 😭

Just tells you to get closer so that you simultaneously warm up and effectively prevents these shocks
