expending on the mlm pricefield thing (and i’m not talking about double exposure anymore), i think if pricefield had been one of the first mlm pairing to be openly queer in video games history, it would’ve been way more of a big deal back when the game was released and years later. i also think little to no people would be debating whether their relationship is platonic or not, and people would’ve been way faster at jumping to the conclusion that you were homophobic if you thought they were.

historically, the most popular mlm pairings (i’m thinking johnlock, kirk and spock from star trek, merlin and arthur, all the h*rry p*tter and marvel gay ships) have a way bigger fanbase and are way less denied than the wlw ones (i’m thinking supercop, emma swan and regina mills, betty and veronica from riverdale etc). (for the record, i looked up “queerbaiting” to make this post and have examples, and found like a dozens of mlm pairings and always the same few wlw ones…) AND it is way more socially acceptable to say “those two women have a platonic relationship” whereas, if you do the same with johnlock, for instance, you WILL get an angry twenty paragraphs long reply about how there was nothing platonic about it (even though John Watson married a woman).

my point is not “he married a woman so he wasn’t queer” my point is, whenever one part of a wlw pairing has a boyfriend, or a man who she shows a glimpse of interest in (*cough cough* Warren Graham *cough cough*), it is IMMEDIATELY used as ‘evidence’ that this character cannot be queer since she can be in a heterosexual relationship — which is an argument that, again, you will practically never find directed at a gay ship. and, again, the few people who do use this argument against mlm pairings are called ‘homophobic’.

AGAIN, i am not saying that you cannot ship Warren and Max or are homophobic if you do, i’m saying that if Chloe and Max had been two guys, people would’ve been so focused on them, on Max’s diary’s entries, and the two possible kisses they can share onscreen, and the flirting and implications in their relationship, and Chloe’s obvious attraction to Max, that grahamfield would’ve had a way smaller fanbase — or no fanbase at all. and people would’ve absolutely disregarded the fact that you can make Max romance Warren (who is a girl in this scenario). they would’ve seen Warren’s nearly one-sided flirting, and would’ve immediately gone “she (Warren) is in love with him (Max) and he doesn’t give a fuck” (and the kiss in the Two Whales would’ve been collectively ignored by the entire fandom, as is Mary Watson, or Pepper Potts, or Tonks, or Ginny Weasley).

but BECAUSE Max and Chloe are girls, people are still debating whether she is even queer or not by saying “if i make her romance Warren she experiences no attraction towards Chloe and therefore is straight” which is false, because the attraction is HERE. all you, as a player, get to decide is whether or not Max acts on it. and no matter how much evidence there is that Max is indeed romantically interested in Chloe, you will NEVER convince those people, because to them, the moment a woman and a guy interact in a non-platonic way, this woman has to end up with said guy, no matter how queer-coded her relationship with another woman is.

and now that pricefield is broken up, people who would’ve been rioting if it had been guys are calling people who are rightfully upset ‘dramatic’. just try and imagine the reaction of the Sherlock fandom if Sherlock was returning without Watson because “they argued off-screen and decided to stop seeing each other”. those guys aren’t childhood best friends, are never romantically involved, their fandom hasn’t been begging to have a glimpse of them together for ten years, and yet i can’t even imagine how angry people would be. all this fandom was asking was to at least not destroy Max and Chloe’s friendship, and look where we are now.

You know it’s a small town with nothing to do when the local youth are all obsessed with the live saga of the news anchors. (I think the reason why they care so much about it is because they were the closest thing to a mother & father figure they had growing up)

when it came to the bradford family, they were considered the perfect all american family. william a well known fashion photographer, who grew up with wealth but still made a name for himself. emma bradford, an attorney, who's story really inspired people that no matter where you come from you can still become someone. and the moment joshua was adopted, it was like he had the whole world at the palm of his hands. his parents encouraging him to do whatever his heart desired.

joshua's story could have been different though. the first five years of his life he was raised by an amazing woman, his birth mother, lucy davis. his father was never in the picture, and that was okay, because he had lucy. but one night after a shift at the night and dine, a storm was brewing. driving back home was more difficult than expected, and out of nowhere a truck came driving towards her, ending in disaster.

with no record of his father, and there not being a next of kin to take joshua, he was eventually placed with the bradfords, who fostered the young josh. and they had fallen in love with joshua, even when he was so quiet and timid to begin with, but once he felt comfortable, they love how thoughtful, creative and sweet he was. they knew that they wanted him, and they decided to adopt him.

growing up with the bradfords, he was coming to his own. he loved his parents, and he loved what they did, always interested in what they do, specifically with his father's photography. his creative side being shown more and more, it was clear where his interest lied. so his parents had gotten him his first camera at thirteen. and his love for photography grew, amongst the rest of the arts.

he had accomplished a lot in his quarter life. winning photo competitions, going to college, and graduating with a business and photography degree. and now, he wants help young artist fulfill their dreams just like he was fulfilling his own. but there was still one thing he wanted to do before he started it all, he wanted to find who his birth father is. the problem was, there was no information on him. and he felt like it was finding a needle in a haystack. but he wasn't going to give up.

best friends for life: if there was one person josh confided in practically everything, it was always his best friend. she's the girl that he tended to gravitate around for years, they even shared their first kiss together, and tried the dating, but decided that being friends was the right move. she's the one he always cared what she thought.

from bully to friends: it's crazy how the jock and the art kid once to hate each other. tale as old as time. but growing up had changed them both. one night out together and they ended up having a good time. who would have thought these unlikely duo would be good friends.

2023 in Review: The 25 Sexiest Scenes

Grab a cold glass of water and a paper fan, because TVLine’s list of the sexiest TV moments of 2023 is likely to raise your body temperature.

Naturally, there are plenty of kisses and love scenes in the below roundup, including passionate smooches from Abbott Elementary, The Summer I Turned Pretty and Station 19. And of course, the hot hookups on Outlander, Superman & Lois and The Morning Show also got our pulses racing.

But sexy times in bed (or against a wall) are not required in order to fog up screens. Case in point: Magnum P.I.’s Baywatch-esque strut, Law & Order: Organized Crime’s oddly intimate shootout and a Daisy Jones & the Six serenade all turned up the heat without ever hitting the sheets. And more than one of our selections made the cut with simply a well-delivered sexy line of dialogue. 

Fun fact: Making their second appearance in a row on this list are Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, Nancy Drew, Power Book IV: Force and Jonathan Bailey (but with a different series this year!).

Alex and Spencer spent so much of the Paramount+ drama’s first season in extreme peril (the elephant, the capsized boat, etc.), we couldn’t blame them for wanting to take a pants-optional break by the seaside. And when we had a front-row seat to their, as she called it, “ravaging”? So much the better! (Season 1, Episode 4)

Gregory and Janine’s long-awaited first kiss in a beautifully botanical living class room was worth the wait. And judging by the delicious way Janine tugged on Gregory’s neck badge, pulling him back in for another steamy lip-lock, we weren’t the only ones who didn’t want the moment to end. (Season 2, Episode 16)

We already figured Spencer and Olivia would get back together by season’s end, but the white-hot chemistry on display during this fashion show dance routine mercifully accelerated their reconciliation. No kisses were shared during the performance, but the looks on Spencer and Olivia’s faces as they pressed their bodies together told us everything we needed to know about their lingering feelings — and Spencer’s poor girlfriend, Alicia, could see it from the audience, too. (Season 5, Episode 18)

It was a difficult season for Severide and Stella, what with him taking on an arson investigation training gig that took him away for months. And even before that, the couple experienced some tensions on the job that tested their marriage. Thankfully, they were able to work past their issues in sexy fashion, with Stella greeting her hubby dressed in the only thing she wants to bring home from work: his lucky coat. (Season 11, Episode 12)

We’re a sucker for an Out of Sight-esque sex scene/montage (see: our 2019 Sexiest Scenes pick Good Trouble), so the seductive slices of Charlie and Emma’s first night together — their passionate kiss, the casual conversation in the bath and in bed, the late-night pool swim — had us all riled up. It’s a shame that ABC snuffed the sexy chemistry between the con man and the CIA agent. (Season 1, Episode 1)

Sure, sparks flew between Billy and Daisy when they recorded their first duet, “Look at Us Now (Honeycomb).” But it was the silent glances (particularly Sam Claflin’s smoldering stare) and gentle knee touch as Daisy sang an acoustic version of “It Was Always You” to the man who was no doubt the inspiration behind the song that had us holding our breath with anticipation. (Season 1, Episode 9)

We’re gonna sound like poor, unstable Alex here, but what made her first tryst with married man Dan so damn titillating wasn’t the sex itself but the strong sense that there was more going on than two bodies mashing together. The two of them had connected, really connected, and couldn’t resist the temptation to see if their newfound understanding of one another translated to the bedroom. Spoiler alert: It did. (Season 1, Episode 2)

For a series with plenty of sex, the hottest moment in the Showtime drama wasn’t about action, but a line of dialogue, suggestively delivered by Jonathan Bailey’s Tim as he tried to convince his lover Hawk (Matt Bomer) to take him to a political soirée: “I’m your boy, right? And your boy wants to go to the party.” (Season 1, Episode 1)

After a full season of Lucas pining for Simone, she finally ditched the fiancé who was more like an anchor around her neck than a stethoscope — and at the altar, no less — to use an on-call room for its intended purpose: tenderly surrendering to passion with the fellow resident who, unlike Trey, could say with all sincerity, “I see you, and I love every single thing I see.” (Season 19, Episode 19)

“Go take a shower, Bill.” And with just five words — and one unexpectedly romantic first kiss — the sweet, sad, post-apocalyptic and deeply intimate ballad of Frank and Bill began. (Season 1, Episode 3)

Should it have been sexy when Capt. Benson and her former partner, Det. Stabler, came under fire in a suburban diner and he was rendered blind by their assailant’s teargas? Absolutely not. But was it sexy when, in the heat of the moment, an injured Liv grabbed El’s hand and guided it so he could shoot the bad guy, even though he couldn’t see him? Yep. Yep, it was. (Season 3, Episode 22)

The CBS castoff’s first season on NBC was touted as “sexier,” and that became quite apparent in the second episode, when a slow-motion sequence languorously surveyed the tanned and toned physiques of “Jane” and “Robbie,” Juliet and Thomas’ undercover lifeguard personae. File this under: “bae-watch.” (Season 5, Episode 2)

Alex’s flirty banter with her interview subject/future boss was so full of sparks, no one was shocked it turned into a beautifully shot, clothes-free party at his Hamptons estate. File this one under: So Wrong It’s… Still Pretty Horrible But Nonetheless Hot. (Season 3, Episode 6)

The sexual tension between Nancy Drew’s titular sleuth and the star-crossed love of her life has always been off the charts (literally barometer-breaking!), but it was never hotter than when she painted his body with the sigil they hoped would break the curse keeping them apart. From the moment Nancy looks Ace in the eyes and tells him to take off his shirt, the heat is on. She explores him with her eyes before exploring him with her brush, knowing that the pleasure of her touch is the only thing getting him through the pain. This moment isn’t just hot, it’s also a damn good argument to fund the arts. (Season 4, Episode 3)

Most of these moments involve the removal of clothes (and we’re not complaining), but Devi and Ben’s sexiest moment — by far — took place the morning after they made love, when he eagerly pulled up a YouTube tutorial to help her figure out how to get back into her sari. (Season 4, Episode 10)

Forget, for a moment, that the whole thrust (sorry) of this scene stems from Roger’s jealousy that Brianna is getting platonically friendly with a male co-worker. And pay no mind to the fact that Mr. and Mrs. MacKenzie go at it on an aggressively floral, focus-pulling upholstered fold-out couch. Despite both of those considerations, this interlude — set to Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” — is still the most charged intimate moment in the Starz drama’s recent history. (Season 7, Episode 7)

Mireya invited Tommy to share a private dance with her with the sole intent of getting to their first kiss, a romantic moment that wound up getting interrupted when he was called away. But the way Tommy could barely peel himself away from her! That kiss after he grabbed his coat! Hot stuff, all of it. (Season 2, Episode 4)

We’re surprised the room didn’t immediately engulf in flames given George and Charlotte’s heated gazes just before… you know. And as hot and heavy as their first official night together was, George’s guttural, “I’m very good with buttons,” already had our pulses racing. (Season 1, Episode 2)

Archie and Betty were stuck in the very chaste 1950s in the final season, but their teenage hormones were still raging, so the next-door neighbors decided to learn more about their bodies by taking off their clothes for each other in their bedroom windows. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife as Betty revealed a lacy black corset under her shirt and Archie eagerly stripped down to his underwear. They never even touched each other in the scene — and their parents rudely interrupted them just when it was getting good — but we could still feel the sizzling chemistry between them even seven decades later. (Season 7, Episode 6)

A shopping spree ironically got besties Cruz and Aaliyah thinking about UNdressing one another, when, alone in a fitting room, Aaliyah told Cruz that the spontaneous kiss they’d shared the day before was “all I think about.” Then, with a shy, quiet, “Come here…,” Aaliyah invited Cruz over for a hint of what was to come, during their torrid first romp. (Season 1, Episode 7)

We’d almost begun to think we’d been imagining the simmering attraction between would-be mayor Travis and campaign manager Eli when, finally, after a particularly rousing day on the trail, they hurled themselves at one another, tore off their clothes and, um, secured the swing vote. Better luck next time, Andy. (Season 6, Episode 14)

The Summer I Turned Pretty

Look away, Conrad/Belly ‘shippers! For our money, it was Belly and Jeremiah who brought the best heat in Season 2, by way of their carside makeout session after confirming they still had real feelings for each other. The kissing, of course, was intense, but it was the breathless way Jeremiah said, “Yes, I still…” that made this scene endlessly rewatchable. (Season 2, Episode 7)

John Henry and Lana’s heated, shirt-ripping romp definitely steamed up Smallville. Even better was the expert flirting that took place beforehand, especially Lana telling John Henry that she would just have to make him wish he wasn’t moving to Metropolis. After that, he’d have to be a fool to let her go! (Season 3, Episode 13)

It wasn’t just a canal into which Rebecca fell in the polarizing “Sunflower,” it was love. After some enchanted evening spent on a handsome Dutchman’s houseboat, she was assured by her rescuer that they hadn’t. The implication was that no, they hadn’t had sex. But had they done something far more magical? “Oh yes, we did,” he said to himself. In her heart of hearts, she knew it, too. (Season 3, Episode 6)

Imagine for a moment that an Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue comes to life, and all of the models start asking knowing questions about about one another’s sexual preferences while exchanging heated, jealous glances. Now imagine that one of them might be a werewolf! Does the entire scene feel a bit like the lead-in to a cheap porno? Of course it does. But let’s not pretend like that’s a bad thing.

43 days since Damon and Emma got together. Unfortunantly it still feels like it happened yesterday. Like everything he says is just a lie, whether about her or not. After everything that has happened I can't stop but think that I just am not ment to be happy in this world, that I just attract bad people or push away the good ones.

Slowly I feel like the universe is telling me Damon and I should break up. Much more abruptly I think he also thinks that. I've been trying to finish Riverdale and his comments just keep getting mean. In an episode the group threw a "key party" basically they threw their keys in a bowl and whoevers keys they picked they had a night out (basically to sleep with whoevers keys you picked) when watching the scene of them explaining, Damon looked at me and just said no as if I was thinking about playing??? Are you fucking serious?? He cheated on me but the watching of a scene of a sex party was all of a sudden me thinking of cheating?? Bullshit.

Then today I'm once again watching riverdale and the episode where Archie and Veronica moved in with each other right after getting back together after not dating for 7 years and they just weren't working. I said that they shouldn't of moved in with each other so soon and all the sudden he pipes up that we shouldn't of moved in together so soon either???

He cheats. He flirts with other girls online then actually sleeps with someone and all of a sudden I watch a stupid show and all this shit is said? No wonder I can't stop thinking there's someone else.

But that's a whole other thing! And no, it's not hate. Just because someone prefers to write about certain characters, doesn't mean they hate the others. And there are A LOT of supporting characters who became more famous than the main characters. This doesn't mean it's racism.

Loki is preferred to Thor, is it racism?

Octavia and Raven from The 100 are preferred to Clarke, is it racism?

Regina of OUAT is preferred to Snow White or Emma herself, is it racism?

Damon from The Vampire Diaries is preferred to Stefan, is it racism?

Jughead from Riverdale is preferred to Archie, is it racism?

In Sex Education Otis is the least favorite, is it racism?

In Bones, Booth is one of the least favorites too, is it racism?

Angel from Hazbin Hotel is preferred to Charlie, is it racism?

In anime and manga there are plenty of secondary characters widely preferred to the protagonists to the point that the mangaka often go so far as to kill them to safeguard the main character.

Or real secondary couples who are much more famous than the main ones: Zutara and Malec to name two, is this also racism?

I don't doubt that some fans are racist, what happened to Arden Cho is a clear example of that, but please don't mix things up.

Have you thought that Scott might not be the focus of fanfiction because he isn't deemed equally interesting?

There are plenty of posts here and online explaining why Scott's character generates conflicting opinions. People often prefer Macchiavellian characters to spotless and fearless heroes, Loki for example. And it's not even the fact that some can make mistakes and others can't, but the fact that when someone makes mistakes, they pay the consequences, for better or for worse, and recognize themselves as imperfect and not totally good.

Stiles is significantly more popular than Scott. This is a fact. But the question to ask is not what ethnicity the characters are, but what mentality they have. I'm not saying it's like this for everyone, but for many, the good one is boring. The good one doesn't surprise you, because you already know that they will make the "right" decision. The ambiguous character, on the other hand, you never know how they might react.

You can't be sure Magneto will save an innocent, but you know Charles Xavier will. You don't know if Loki will help the Avengers, but you know Thor will. You don't know if Regina from OUAT will help the group, but you know Snow White will.

And often it's not even a question of whether they will do it or not, but how: Regina is willing to kill to save others, Snow White is not. Stiles and Scott are the same. You know that Scott would look for another solution, at the cost of being injured himself. He said it explicitly in season four.

There's a pattern here: like it or not, good and sweet characters will always be outnumbered by morally ambiguous and distrustful ones.

Tyler Posey had the "bad luck" of getting the role of a good character, the classic hero. It's not about his ethnicity, because as I have shown, we're talking about a pattern.

Personally, as I've said in several posts, I can't stand Allison. Because unlike others who committed bad deeds, she was not held accountable, and she never apologized. If it weren't for the fact that she is considered canonically good, I wouldn't have a problem with the character itself, because for example I like Peter, in her madness I consider Kate to be a well-written character (I don't like her as a person!) and even Theo succeeded to redeem himself in part. One thing that people don't like about Scott, for example, is that he has made some mistakes but still persists in believing he is the right one (or at least that's the message the show wants to give). But going back to Allison, as I was saying, I don't like her and I find her relationship with Scott extremely unbalanced. I loved Kira, I loved her relationship with Scott, I think they were perfect together, but I recognize that they haven't really unlocked their potential. Arden Cho leaving wasn't planned. Is the fact that I prefer Kira to Allison racist? No, because there are reasons why I prefer one rather than the other. Whether other people agree or not is their problem.

Then, beyond the individual characters, it is no mystery that homosexual couples are the most popular in fandom. If you ask someone who doesn't read fanfic and doesn't have tumblr what the most famous ships with Scott or Stiles are, you can be sure that they will answer Scallison and Scira on one side and Stydia and Stalia on the other. Many people limit themselves to canon. However, if you ask those who frequent AO3 and social networks like tumblr, they will tell you about Scisaac and Sterek. Is Scisaac racist towards Scallison? No!

People don't care whether it's canon or not. People ship characters that aren't even from the same universe!! Jack Frost and Elsa for example. Because it's not always about what was written and broadcast on TV, but about what could have been. Scisaac was never even thought of in the show, but people still like it because they saw potential. Is this also racist for your tastes? Or hateful?

The Malec is the most famous Shadowhunters ship ever, people got closer to the books THANKS to the Malec. Why? Were they two white people while the protagonists were not? No, since Magnus isn't white while Clary and Jace are. But because they are a queer couple.

You can't deal with a discussion like this without keeping in mind all the factors involved. The queer fandom part is extremely important and is present in practically all fandoms! If queer people decide to see each other in non-canon queer couples, it doesn't mean they hate the canon ones, they're just not their focus (and here the question of lack of representation would arise. There are no non-canonical ships in the fandom of Sense8 for example, or Motherland Fort Salem, or Siren, because the shows already provide them). If people prefer more complex characters, it doesn't mean they hate the heroes of the story, they just find them less interesting.

And here we should talk about how Scott, of all people, was given the least background by the writers. The only dramatic event in his life that people might resonate with is the issue with his father, which however isn't explored in depth and doesn't particularly affect Scott (we only know what we know because the Nogitsune reveals it to Melissa). How can someone who apparently has no problems in life or particular traumas and has a loving mother and the love of his life who loves him back be more compelling to people than someone mistreated and locked in a freezer by his father, or someone who has had to kill his first love out of mercy, lost his entire family because of his second love and lost the last person he had left at the hands of his uncle, or someone who went mad after her mother's suicide becoming an almost serial killer, or even someone who lost his mother as a child and considers himself responsible for it, takes care of his father, often choosing the parental role for himself instead of that of son, and has been possessed by an evil spirit that he stained his hands with blood and made him believe he had the same terminal illness as his dead mother? It's not the fandom that took something away from Scott, it's the show itself that didn't make him a 360° character like the others.

Back to us, out of 141,616 fanfics, Stiles is present 107,034 times; Scott 54,665; Derek 85,264. Of the times Stiles is present, Scott is present 48,065 and Derek is present 79,336. This means that 27,698 fanfics aren't even sterek. And it always comes back to the fact that, like it or not, people like the gray character of Stiles more.

In addition to the fact that gray characters are preferred and in addition to the fact that gay couples in the world of fanfic are preferred, we must also add the dynamics of these couples.

Zuko and Katara will serve us as a first example. Is Katara preferred with the sweet, good, loyal Aang or with the villain with family trauma who later redeemed himself? Emma from OUAT is preferred in the heterosexual couple with Hook or in the sapphic couple with Regina, where Hook's "evilness" pales in comparison to Evil Queen's. Even in Supernatural the couple in question is between Castiel and Dean and not Castiel and Sam. In Gen V Marie is seen well with Jordan, and not with Andre or Luke.

All queer couples and with enemies to lovers relationships.

Scott and Kira have never been enemies to lovers. Scott and Allison were never enemies to lovers either, but rather a Romeo and Juliet retelling.

Look at the publishing market of YA fantasy: enemies to lovers is the favorite trope, followed by found family and sunshine x grumpy. Regarding romantic relationships, the found family is to be excluded, therefore Scott has none of the two remaining ones. Who is it, though, that in Teen Wolf has both Enemies to Lovers and Sunshine x Grumpy tropes? Sterek and Thiam. It is no coincidence that these two are the most popular couples.

But just because they are popular doesn't mean that people hate the friends to lovers that Scott or Boyd and Erica can have. It's just less intriguing to most people.

And to answer your question of why it's always Scott who is in opposition to Stiles and Derek the answer is simple: people like angst.

What do I do with the fact that the bully (Jackson) is against Stiles and Derek's relationship, why should he be an obstacle? Where is Stiles' emotional dilemma? The very fact that Scott is the most important person for Stiles (after his father) makes him the perfect candidate. Scott is someone Stiles doesn't want to lose. Scott is someone Stiles might think about before choosing Derek (Peter or whatever you prefer). And the show even provided some good source material to create such a scenario. I'm not saying that canonically this is the case, but that some canonical events are certainly usable. Scott was hostile to Derek for a long time before he learned to trust him. So not only is Scott perfect to create Stiles' dilemma but he also already has some canon motivations.

Fanfics are all about cutting and sewing, taking what you need from canon and adding the rest of fantasy. It doesn't help, then, that many fans didn't like the scene in season 4 where Scott doesn't believe Stiles about Donovan's death. Here a whole other question opens up about the fact that Scott had been manipulated by Theo, that Stiles hadn't really explained himself, but that at the same time that Scott should have at least asked Stiles' version before judging etc etc etc. All things that now is not the place or time to discuss, but which must nevertheless be kept in mind if we want to understand why Scott is "the chosen one" for fanfics of this type. As for the other options you provided like Isaac or others, they don't carry the same weight because there isn't a relationship on the show like the one that Stiles and Scott have.

Finally I can't understand if you don't like sterek shippers or that sterek is more famous than Scott and his relationships. What do you care if people keep sterek as otp for years? What does this fact change in your life or in your perception of the show? I don't want to put words in your mouth, but it sounds like you're very fond of Scott's character and don't like that he's not as famous as you'd like.

First of all, I would tell you to consider yourself lucky, because a character you love has still canonically obtained a relationship that you like. That's more than many fans of any show can say they've had.

Secondly, people simply bond with characters. Derek for example is my favorite. I would choose him above all. And my favorite ship after Sterek is the one between Boyd and Erica. And to disprove your logic once again, if it was racism I should have put any of the many white couples on the show. Until proven otherwise, however, Boyd is very non-white.

In the end, if your goal is to demonstrate how Scott is an amazing character and how Scira should be more widespread, going against the other ships accusing them of hatred and racism without real concrete evidence is not the right way.

Positivity brings positivity.

The more you speak well of Scott, the more people you might convince that you are actually right. The more fanfics you write about Scott and Kira, the more people you'll get to ship the two of them. Sterek fans have the only fault of being prolific and not letting the canon stop them. But we must have started somewhere, there will have been a first sterek fic. Then more and more followed until we got to people who started Teen Wolf because they first met Sterek and then decided to see what the show was all about. I am one of these people for example. And personally it happened to me with many other ships.

Lastly, I'm gonna repeat myself because it never hurts, just because Scott isn't the protagonist in most fanfics, it doesn't mean he isn't loved as a character. From my experience, the only times he misbehaved was when the "Bad Friend Scott McCall" tag was there, in all the other thousands of sterek fics I've read (both on ao3 and Italian fanfiction sites) Scott is always a loving sweetheart and if Derek is associated with eyebrows and Stiles is associated with amber eyes/moles, Scott is associated with puppy eyes and the loyalty he has for Stiles and his friends, which is a beautiful thing.

The world may have moved on and evolved, but when you’re stuck in Riverdale, it feels like you’re still in the same unknown decade, no matter how long you stay for. 

Four years after graduation, you’re still waiting tables at Pop’s, despite the rest of your friends moving on. The only people left behind is you, Toni, Sweet Pea and Fangs. But what was once known the four musketeers, now has a huge divide between them. 

You still talk to Toni, but she talks more with Fangs. You and Fangs don’t talk to each other anymore due to a very messy ending of an almost six year relationship. Sweet Pea and Fangs only really talk to each other when they have to. Sweet Pea’s pissed because of what Fangs did to you, despite you telling him that you don’t want to be the reason they fall out, but he still sticks by your side. And Fangs is pissed at him for taking your side. 

Toni and Sweet Pea are still close but not as much as they used to be. The only plus side is the fact that you and Sweet Pea are closer than before, but that comes at a cost, because he’s stuck in between the messiest breakup in Riverdale history, and there’s nothing he can really do except sit and listen to you complain. 

Not that he minds though, as long as you keep giving him secret staff discount on his food, he’s fine listening to you mope about Fangs. 

“I just-” You sigh, your head dropping to rest on the table. The clock ticks above you and you can feel some of the other waitresses glaring at you, as they will time to move quicker so they can have their own breaks. “Do you know when you’re on the outside of an inside joke? And everyone else knows it but you have no idea what they’re talking about and it makes you feel really lonely.” 

“Lime.” He chuckles and you stare at him confused. “Sorry, you weren’t there.” 

“That doesn’t help Sweet Pea.” You slump in the stool and stare out of the coffee machine.

In the reflection you see a group of teenagers sat at the far end of the diner and you’re taken back to when that used to be you. You and the rest of the serpents would sit for hours, just talking and eating. Now those days are far gone, the only time you would ever be in the same place as Fangs would be to fight him. 

“Hey. Sorry to interrupt.” An older woman invades your thoughts and casts a shadow over you. You pull your gaze away from the shiny metal and stare up at her. “I really wanted Coke but you guys only seem to have Pepsi.” 

“I’m on my break sorry.” You force a smile. The rehearsed customer service voice coming out naturally. “But I’m sure one of my colleagues would be more than happy to help.” You add and point to the various members of staff trying to look busy. You glare at the newest member, Emma, who has the coldest eyes and fakest smile you have ever seen. She’s been a pain in your ass since she got here, and she hasn’t stopped since. You’re just hoping the new girl starting today is going to be a lot nicer. 

“Ughhh.” You groan and lean your head on the counter again. “I just remembered I’m training a new girl today.” 

“I thought you’d just done that.” 

“I have.” You grumble and look up at him. “But because I’m the most experienced member of staff, apparently it’s also my job to make sure they don’t put tea in the coffee machine and to keep the condiments separate.” You add and fiddle with the salt packet lying in front of you. 

“Well, I’m gonna be here for a little bit longer. I don’t start till three, so I can keep you company.” 

“Thanks.” You smile. “Where are you going today?” 

“Just to Greendale and back.” 

“Come round when you finish...we can drink what will be left of the night away.” 

“Deal.” He smiles and grabs your hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. Sweet Pea’s phone lights up beside you and you peer over his arm to see who it is. 

“Don’t bother.” You say when he reaches for it. “It’s just your mom.” You add when he looks at you confused and his face soon falls. 

“Oh.” He grumbles. “I told her to leave me alone.” 

“I’m sure she’ll get the message soon.” You try your best to sound convincing. But you’ve been repeating that sentence for seven years and she still doesn’t seem to get it. No matter how many times Sweet Pea tells her that he’s better off without her. 

For a while you thought it had worked. Nobody had heard from her in almost 6 months, but then she popped back up and ruined the progress that Sweet Pea had been making of having a stable life. 

“And if not. I’ll make sure she does.” You add making him snort a laugh. A soft smile twitches at your own lips as you watch him laugh and then shove a few fries in his mouth. Your hand reaches out to steal some but he catches it and shoves you away making you pout. “Hey! Technically I paid for those. The least you can do is share.” 

“What?” He asks through a mouthful of food and you pull a face. “I can’t hear you over the chewing.” He adds and shoves the rest of them in his mouth.

“You’re disgusting.” You shake you head making him laugh loudly. For a good minute, everything feels normal. It feels like you’re just sat with your friend and praying for time to slow down so you don’t have to go back to work. 

But eventually time does catch up with you, and as soon as the clock strikes quarter past you have to haul yourself back up, grab your rag and get on. The song on the jukebox flips and you’re suddenly hit with a wave of nostalgia. 

The opening notes float through the air, and all of sudden you can see you and Fangs dancing right in front of you. 

3am in December during a snowstorm. The worst Riverdale had seen for years and the two of you were hiding in the warmth of Pop’s until it went away. You were the only ones in and so Fangs decided to make the most out of the empty diner, and the two of you danced stupidity around the entire place, much to the amusement of the very bored and very tired workers. 

Tears spring to your eyes and you let out a shaky breath before fiddling with your fingers. 

“Y/n?” Sweet Pea asks. “You okay?” You nod and Sweet Pea stares back at you. Your shiny eyes and wobbly lip really doesn’t help your case of ‘i’m over it!’, but for now he decides to leave it. In the three months since you broke up, you’ve already cried more times than he can count, and that’s just at work. He doesn’t want to see you cry again. If he had his way, you’d never cry again. Not ever. 

“I’m fine. I know you think I’m stupid but it’s just how I feel.” You shrug and his expression softens. He grabs your hand, stopping you from walking away and you look at your intwined fingers. 

“I have never once thought you were stupid.” He says seriously and you swallow thickly. “Well, apart from the time I dared you to steal FP’s bike and you actually did it.” He adds, the atmosphere being too serious for the two of you. 

“I never got caught though.” You point your pen at him, a smile curling the corners of your lips and Sweet Pea smiles back at you. 

“It was still stupid.” He replies and you roll your eyes. 

“Hey, Pea?” You ask. “Do you know if Fangs is with anybody. I just, I can’t shake the feeling that somebody else is in my shoes right now. You know, doing all of the stuff we used to do.”  

“I don’t think so.” He shrugs and you nod slowly. 

“Good.” You nod and hold your head higher. “I’m the best he’s ever going to have anyway.” You add making him chuckle. 

“Very true.” He laughs. “Y/n? Do you think you might be-I dunno, maybe just a bit bi-” 

“I’m not bitter.” You defend and he sends you a look. 

“Sure you’re not.” He sips his coffee. “You are dressed in yellow though. And what fruit is yellow?” 

“A le-” 

“A lemon!” He interrupts, a stupid grin taking over his expression as waits for you to answer. 

“Okay.” You nod and grab your notepad from the table. “I’m walking away now. There you go Emma, you can sneak out the back to text a man that is definitely not your husband. 

“Oh, hi.” Someone taps your shoulder as you’re walking away making you quickly spin around. The girls almost walks into you and a string of apologies fall from her mouth as she quickly looks around to make sure no one saw. 

Her brown hair stops at her waist and curls a little bit near the end. Her bright blue eyes sparkle under the florescent lighting, and her pink lips curl into a nervous smile as she looks around. You glance at Sweet Pea and roll your eyes when you see him not so subtly checking her out. 

“Can I help?” You ask and she quickly looks back at you, a bright red blush creeping up her cheeks. 

“Yes. Hi, sorry. I’m Olivia. I start today.” She says and sticks her hand out in front of you. You shake it and send a glare to Sweet Pea who is still checking her out and he rolls his eyes at you before scrolling through his phone. 

“Lovely to meet you Olivia.” You smile. “Follow me and I’ll show you the ropes.” 

“I would so not mind seeing either of you with ropes.” Sweet Pea mumbles and you grit your teeth. 

“Would you excuse me for just a second?” She nods, eyes wide as she watches you slap Sweet Pea over the head with the rag. He jumps and yelps from the sudden attack before rubbing his head and scowling at you. “Okay, where were we?” You ask, a smile returning to her lips as she just stares at you in disbelief. “It’s fine. We’re friends.” You shrug and walk her to the counter. 

“It doesn’t make it okay!” Sweet Pea shouts. 

“Do you want your bill yet...your full one?” You add and he slumps back in his seat, his arms crossed in defeat. 

“Okay, so do you have any waitressing experience?” 

“Yes!” She smiles. “I used to work in a diner like this one back in New York.” She says and your eyes widen at the mention of New York.

“Oh, so you’re an out of towner?” You ask while showing her around. “This is the kitchen. Basically you get an order, you clip it on there and then the food will come through here. The only time we ever really need to go into the kitchen is if there is a mistake or it’s your turn to put the bins out. There’s a rota in the office but I’ll show you that later.” 

“Got it.” She nods. “Yeah. I moved here a few months ago. I’ve been trying to find a job since I moved but there’s only so much you can do in a small town.” She explains and you nod knowingly. 

“Why would you ever leave New York for Riverdale. Did you get lost or something?” You tease and she rolls her eyes playfully. 

“No.” She shakes her head. “I came here just as a little break to get away from the city, and then I met a guy and I haven’t been back.” She says and your eyes widen. 

“You stayed for a boy?” You ask in disbelief and she nods, with an embarrassed smile. “Wow.” You add. “This is the main eating area as you can see. We all have our sections, again, the rota, but you’ll be paired with me for today so you won’t need to know where you are until your next shift. And be warned, if you see him-” You point at Sweet Pea and he waves in return. “Ignore everything he says.” You finish and his face falls. 

“I’m gonna stop keeping you company if you’re not careful.” He huffs and you roll your eyes. 

“How else are you going to spend your free time if not here?” He shrugs and spins around the chair. When you had more friends, you used to need a booth to fit all of you in and even then you had to steal chairs from other tables. Now Sweet Pea just sits on the stools by the till so he can chat to you. 

Sometimes when it’s late and you’re nearing the end of a long shift, you’re sure you can see the ghosts of past versions of yourselves sat in the corner booth. Their laugher filling the air and reminding you of a happier time. 

“You guys are a cute couple.” Olivia coos and you and Sweet Pea stare at each other in disgust. 

“We are not a couple.” You say quickly and distance yourself away from him. 

“You would be lucky to be called my girlfriend.” He says and making you laugh. 

“Yeah, I’m really missing out.” You reply. “We’re not a couple.” You repeat, looking at Olivia this time and she nods while trying to suppress a smile. 

“Got it. Not a couple.” 

“Anyway, tell us about this man that seemingly turned your world upside down.”  

“He’s amazing!” She starts and you suddenly start to regret asking. This is definitely not going to help the ever growing feeling that you’re going to be alone forever. “He recently got a new job as a truck driver. At the minute he’s just doing to make some money, but it’s not what he wants to do. And he got a new little flat with his friend and it’s great. He’s an amazing cook...like the best. And he’s so handsome. Sometimes I look at him and I seriously wonder if he was crafted by God himself. He is that good, he has made me believe in God.”

“...wow.” You choke a little. 

“Yeah...wow.” Sweet Pea adds and the two of you share an impressed look. She chuckles shyly and tucks a piece of hair behind her ear. 

“He sounds sweet.” You smile and a blush creeps up her neck as she fiddles with her apron. “Who is he? Maybe I know him.” 

“Fangs. Fangs Fogarty.” She replies and your jaw drops. The cup in your hand wobbles and you scramble to catch it before it smashes on the floor. Olivia quickly moves forward to help you, but you stand up before she has the chance and she’s left awkwardly standing just a bit too close to you. 

Sweet Pea coughs and coffee dribbles down his chin, making both of you look at him and he forces a smile until Olivia is called away. You and Sweet Pea stare at each other for a few seconds, your eyes wide and jaws slack and then you both start an incoherent flow of words as you try and figure out what the hell is going on. 

“I thought you said Fangs wasn’t seeing anyone!” You start and slap him over the head with your rag again. He ducks and catches it, but his face crinkles when he comes in to contact with the soggy fabric and he quickly drops it. 

“He said he wasn’t!” He argues. “I asked him the other day if he was seeing anyone and he said no. It’s not my fault he lied.” He adds and you huff at him, crossing your arms while staring at the door. 

From your peripheral, you watch him roll his eyes and sigh before mumbling a quiet sorry. 

“It’s fine.” You sigh. “It’s not your fault.” The two of you watch her make her wander around the restaurant and talking to a few of the other servers, the smile never leaving her lips and a scowl slowly makes its way onto your own. “If I were her I would start packing my bags already because we all know Fangs does not do commitment. It doesn’t matter if its two months or six years, one day he will just up and leave, turning your whole life upside down because he’s a selfish di-” 

“Okayyyy.” He says and grabs your arm pulling you over the counter. “Y/n, listen to me.” He grabs your cheeks. “You have got to pull yourself together. One. you are much hotter than her. Seriously, I only checked her out once and that was when she first got here. But I check you out literally every time you walk into a room.” 

“Than-” 

“Two. Now that it’s official that Fangs has moved on, it means that you can too and you don’t look like the bad person because he did it first. So Friday night, you’re going to get dressed up and then we’re gonna go to Greendale and go to that club, Brightstars and then you’re gonna get bu-” 

“You don’t need to finish that sentence.” You reply and he nods proudly before letting go. You drop back onto the floor and smooth your uniform out. 

It’s fine, you got this. You can be the bigger person and you can put any petty differences aside for an easy working environment. Fangs has already ruined enough of your life, he doesn’t need to ruin this to. 

Apparently he does though, because not two seconds after you’ve had that life-altering thought, does he walk through the doors of Pop’s. The bell rings to announce his presence and everyone turns to look at him. 

Sweet Pea buries his head in a menu, despite having already eaten. You frantically look around the place to try and find somewhere to hide, but instead you just watch as Olivia’s face lights up as she greets her boyfriend. The two of them kiss, his hands grip her waist and there is far too much tongue involved to be doing it in public. 

Before you can stop yourself, a disgusted expression has already settled on your face and when Olivia turns around to introduce you to him, you try your best to smile through it. 

“Do you guys know each other?” She asks while leading him over to the counter. Sweet Pea shuffles further away and grabs another menu to cover his face. You mumble a few curse words at him and vow than the next break you’re not just going to hit him with the rag, you’re going to choke him with it before you muster the politest smile you possibly can. 

“Yeah. We went to school together!” You say before Fangs can say anything. He looks at you surprised and you narrow your eyes at him before looking back at Olivia. “We all did. Didn’t we Pea.” You add and snatch the menu’s from him. 

He sits up straighter, forcing an awkward smile before nodding slowly. 

“Yeah, we-er. We used to hang out.” He adds and Olivia looks at Fangs surprised. 

“You never mentioned a Y/n and a-” 

“Sweet Pea.” He says and you grab the empty plate and glass from in front of him. 

“Wait, is it because they’re friends with that crazy ex you told me about?” She wonders and you freeze. You raise an eyebrow at him and he gulps. “Fangs used to date this girl and they were together for a really long time, but then he broke up with her because well, I guess he just wanted other things. She was crying and begging him to stay and it was a whole mess. Funny story we met when he was throwing away all her old furniture. I asked him what the smoke was about and he told me he was just burning some bad memories.” She laughs and the glass breaks under your grip. The noise causes you all to jump and suddenly it’s all too much. 

Tears spring to your eyes and you quickly dump the apron on the counter. 

“I’m gonna go clean this, can you cover for me Pea?” You ask and he stands, his face full of concern as he watches you disappear out the back. 

Olivia grabs a dustpan and brush and starts cleaning up while Fangs just stares at the floor. Guilt burrows further into his chest as he stares at the broken glass and his new girlfriend cleaning it up. 

“I didn’t mean to upset her.” She says. “Where they friends or something?” She asks and Sweet Pea shrugs. 

“Yeah, something like that.” He sends Fangs a glare. 

“I’ll go see if she’s okay.” He says suddenly and Sweet Pea’s glare only worsens. 

“Do you really think that’s a good idea?” He asks. 

“Nope.” He takes a deep breath before following you through the kitchen and into the office. The door swings open and you sigh, too busy trying to pick glass from your hand to look up at it. 

“I’m fine Sweet Pea. Could you just pass me the first aid box?” 

“Here.” Fangs says and you quickly look up, your eyes widen at the dark haired boy standing in front of you. They soon darken once you snatch the box from him and place it on the desk. 

“What do you want Fangs?” 

“I’m sorry.” He kneels in front of you, forcing you to look at him. The already small office feels suddenly a lot smaller once you look into his eyes and suddenly you feel like you can’t breathe. 

“For what? For breaking my heart, betraying my trust or for telling your new girlfriend, which you found after just a month, that I’m somehow the bad guy in this story?”

“Ye-” 

“You know what Fangs.” You stand and slam the box on the table. “I don’t want to hear it. I don’t want to hear about you or your new life or how sorry you are. I don’t give a fuck.” You shout and back him into a corner. 

His eyes drop to your lips and your breath hitches under his stare. Was he really thinking about kissing you after everything? But even worse, were you really thinking about letting him? His hands grip your hips, pulling you even closer to him and your lips ghost over his own. 

“Do you think about me when you kiss her?” You whisper in his ear and he nods slowly. “Do you think she can taste me when you kiss her?” You add and his eyes flutter closed. The grip on your hips tighten and he leans in, but the door swings open and he quickly jumps away from you. 

“Sorry to interrupt.” Olivia apologises awkwardly. “Are you guys okay?” 

“Just arguing.” You reply and force a smile. “We’re good now though aren’t we Fangs?” 

“Yeah.” He nods. “Just fine.” 

“Come on Olivia. Tell your boyfriend to get out because we have work to do.” You say and smile at the two of them. They share a look and a short kiss before Fangs disappears back through the kitchen. 

You follow closely and watch from the kitchen door as he looks back one last time before leaving. Olivia forces a tight lipped smile at you before busying herself with cleaning some of the booths down. 

“Sweet Pea?” You ask and he hums in reply. “You’re right...I am bitter.”

Like this would make no sense at all?!

It's like saying Emma could be draken's sister or sanzu traveled back in time and fucked mucho's mom and he's mucho's father but that would not give the story anything to improve. It's just bullshit that you add when you don't have any more plot to exploit so you just make something up to keep your watchers like in the vampire diaries or riverdale

But otherwise, I would truly appreciate it when wakui would just let the show go badonkers and write complete nonesense
