I haven't played a Pokemon rom hack in a few years bc I got pretty burnt out on them, but I just beat Emerald Seaglass and absolutely loved it.

Finally finished Umineko and I'm struggling to place my thoughts on it. Overall, I enjoyed my time with this series, but the main theme didn't necessarily hit on all fronts for me
At first, I really hated Erika, but now after everything is over, I relate to her the most out of the cast. While I understand the idea that there doesn't have to be one dogmatic truth, it's hard for me to look at the series and fully accept the love angle. Yes, there is more to the Ushiromiyas than at first glance, but even after looking at their actions with empathy in mind, I still find characters like Kinzou and Rosa to be utterly irredeemable. There's simply no situation nuanced enough where these abusers deserve leeway just because they also had hard lives and were actually nice sometimes.
Maybe one day I'll re-read this series and come to a different conclusion, but for now I suppose I'm just a loveless detective that failed to see the magic

Silent Hill Homecoming is pretty mid as far as Silent Hill games goes, but the soundtrack is so damn good. One of Yamaoka's best works imo

Kinda funny how Umineko episode 5 was supposed to be the episode that answered a bunch of questions and after finishing it, I'm left with even more questions than I previously had. Not to mention the questions that did get answered, were answered by an unreliable narrator and are potentially not even real answers
I'm sure this episode is important in the grand scheme of things, but without the context of the later episodes, I don't really feel like I've gained much from this part. Cool ending though

Just finished reading Umineko episode 4 (manga) and I am so fucking confused. I feel like I need to take a break and try to process, but I also just want some clear answers. What even is Beatrice's goal? She acts malicious and cruel, but there's clearly something else going on behind the scenes.
Also what is Bernkastel's deal? I was under the impression she hated Lambadelta, but this might just be a fucked up toxic yuri situation

idk if this is a particularly hot take, but I've been reading through Initial D and I've been really disappointed by it. The characters are for the most part incredibly flat and the women in particular are so shallow it hurts. I don't believe that the bechdel test is a perfect way to judge the quality of female characters, but holy shit EVERY single one of the women in Initial D fail it.
(this panel made me roll my eyes so hard)

I had no idea this manga even existed till NitroRad's most recent video. It seems like both him and the majority of people that read this didn't particularly care for it, I actually quite liked it. I believe the reason most people didn't enjoy it was the adaptation of the story, which I agree was a somewhat strange take. I think it would have greatly benefited this manga if there was no dialogue.
Regardless of the story though, the art is what makes this worth reading. It's drawn by Hitoshi Tomizawa, the mangaka primarily known for his series Alien Nine. His art is just such a great blend of cute and creepy, honestly a perfect fit for this series. It's also only 10 short chapters so I think it's 100% worth reading if you're a fan of Yume Nikki

Felt like making a tier list for which characters from previous games I'd like to see come back for SF6 dlc.
Admittedly though, I doubt any of my top picks will make it into the game, especially if they keep adding guest characters

I will literally never understand the "Investigations 1 is the worst game in the franchise" people. Dual Destinies is right there!
I don't wanna be too much of a hater of DD, but come the fuck on there is no comparison. AAI 1 clears both DD and SoJ. I'll admit the extra territorial shit drags on too long, but that's just one small part of an overall great game.

Wish I had more friends to play fighting games with. I only find them fun when playing with friends, but all of my friends are either so good that I'm practically not even playing or so much worse that I feel like I'm just bullying them.

I read all of what's currently available of The Days of Diamond yesterday and it blew my expectations away. Ayasegawa is perhaps the most unique protagonist of any sports manga I've ever read.
