It’s immensely gratifying to see Games Workshop embrace the internet as a means of piloting niche rules that maybe wouldn’t be able to sustain their own codices.

For instances, much as Chaos players may want to take Knights of their own, I don’t know that there’s a use case that justifies a whole book dedicated to it - I wasn’t a huge fan of putting out a whole book to support the one Imperial Knight kit back in 2014.

But an eight page .pdf which formalizes the process by which traitor engines may be taken as their own detachment for matched play is an easy lift and a great value add to the existing Imperial Knights range.

And, who knows? If it’s successful, we may see other alternate uses for existing Imperial range models.  Traitor Guard or Gue’vesa Auxiliaries spring to mind.
