Matching tone is so important. If I start my email with "Dear Mr or Ms Surname" to an unknown someone and they reply with "Dear FirstName" they better buckle the fuck up coz its gonna be a bumpy ride.

not to sound like a boomer, but I need some people to learn how to write emails in a semi-professional (at the very least) format so you're not cold emailing a business/potential employer/any other stranger about formal matters in the exact same way you'd DM a close friend on instagram

the formality/language can loosen up in the email chain once you've established a rapport and you match the other person if they're being less formal, but please don't have the very first email you send a stranger be written in all lowercase ultra-casual sms slang with no greeting or signature and a billion emojis

My first project completed during The 100 Days Project! I saw this comment in a "vaguely threatening corporate speak" video and couldn't get ot out of my mind. I had to chart it out immediately.

I've decided that (other than this 😅🤞) I'm going to work on WIP from my 100 Days. Hopefully I can work through what I have laying around to make room for other new projects!

Anon has noticed, as they've had to fill out more "professional" documents and government paperwork, that continuing to use the email they made when they were 13 feels a little strange, and might look weird to the person who processes the paperwork. Are they overthinking it?
