There's something that has been rattling around in my brain for a bit and I just got to get it out there.

So, in ACOSF at the end Nesta talks about how she "made some changes" in order to be able to carry and birth an Illyrian baby without having to go through what Feyre did.

BUT here's the thing that's got me, especially for all you Elain and Azriel shippers. What happens if Elzriel is actually end game? Elain was not changed. So, if her (Elain) and Azriel do end up together how do you think that will come back into play? Or is this another clue on where any future relationships sway?

all in all personally being quite neutral in who i ship regarding elain/azriel/lucien/gwyn etc. all this tea is quite entertaining yet somehow simultaneously angsty?? aha the theories keep building and sometimes i sway one way more than the other but then the other team say something where i’m like “oooo” valid point

I think on the inside, Azriel is very disturbed from the fact that he who longed for a mate the longest is still alone, and his brothers who didn't, are now mated and brothers-in-law to each other.

He loved, longed, and waited for Mor for +500 years... and got nothing.

Then all of a sudden within the span of 3 years, they meet the three Archeron sister, and his two brothers mate with the two sister.

So he thinks that that must be it. He was just waiting for the wrong girl. And the third sister Elain who is pretty, gifted, and seems to like him should be his. This must be his chance to Finally be happy!

Probably see her mating bond as issue that they will over come, like Rhys and Feyre come over Tamlin, or how Cas and Nes over came her depression.

I think Az is a very grey character, there is a reason why he is know as the sadist. The abuse as a child, his bad luck, him being a shadowsinger, everything in his life has made him and his thinking stand out from everyone.

Reminds me a little of Zsadist from Black Dagger Brotherhood?
