---------------She was a hurricane & a woman. She was the meaning of the word tempest. & she knew that what she touched broke & what she loved blew away in the fury of the wind and rain that she carried with her. A dark cloud, a spark in the dark. Lightening & thunder announced her coming. & only she alone stood in the eye of the storm, her storm, the crash & violence of herself. & there she was unreachable, untouchable, a hurricane && a woman. — N.H.

☔ because I think there could be multiple interpretations of this descriptor
Thanks! And you are correct! And since you didn't specify, I'm going to give multiple interpretations from the three girls currently eating my brain.
☔ - Someone who can "Turn lemonade into lemons":
Trick: "Most would probably assume I'd say my husband for this. And I guess in some ways I get it, Tav can come across like that, but no. That man has never once let me spiral. I think...actually, my answer would be Raz. She's a dear friend, but we have wildly different ideas on what is fun (primarily her believing it to be murder...and me believing it to be not murder), and she has a rather caustic wit that can bring a room down. And she's one of the few who can genuinely tear apart and challenge my plans and ideals completely, but I appreciate that aspect...it's the only way to really solidify ideals and make the best plans in a situation."
Raz: "...yeah fair assessment."
Nox: "Oh, I'm that person absolutely. I worry about everything and I know it...but preparing for the worst possible outcome is the only way I know how to survive. What I did...what I'm doing is dangerous, it'd be pure arrogance to assume everything goes as intended. No...no I need to be ready for the worst because I know the consequences are coming. They already came once...and it wasn't something I could ever have fathomed happening...so can you really blame me for being wary?"
Ember: "Ohhhhh...you've never met my brother, have you? You wouldn't be asking me this if you have...or you didn't figure out we're related. Yeah...it's him. Dude practically brings a thunderstorm wherever he goes. Classic picture of tall, dark, and broody, and the room drops about five degrees when he enters it. I still love him, but damn could he smile more."
From here
#don't mind me#sometimes things just appear on my dash#stabby cat#time gremlin#ember of the sea and sky#trick is always on my brain#nox is my current dnd pc#an elven clock mage who uh...definitely doesn't belong to the time the campaign is in and has definitely seen some shit#and is like...probably 2 sessions away from going full chaos academic on everything#and ember is my newest character#a tiefling I may one day use in a future campaign if I ever have one#but she and her brother are also going to be my characters for a group forum rp#and also swtor toons#oc: nox#oc: ember#oc: trick#oc: raz

Strange question, but I feel like you are the go-to person for this. Is there any official lore to how lolthsworn drow treat transness? I imagine it would be very terf-y, like amabs arent allowed to transition into a matriarchal caste, and afabs would be disgraced for transitioning to male.
Oh gosh I love drow stuff but I don't think I would even remotely consider myself an expert on their lore, I've only read wikis and scraped the surface of the books. I might page @rukafais though!!
I know there are some trans drow characters, though the only one I can think of right now is Fel'rekt, but as a Bregan D'aerthe member he's more sworn to that than Lolth.
It has always been my personal impression, and thus what I reflect in my RP (my bg3 tav is a trans woman "lolthsworn" who started the game looking masc and as the game progressed became more her desired self), that Lolthite society is very rigid with its gender rules and bioessentialism. Their entire social structure hinges on the matriarchs and priestesses maintaining power, and there's an entire book series about how Fucked Up And Weird they get if anything happens that threatens that order (and the irony of living by such strict order while worshipping "chaos" is lost on them). Much like gender expression being a threat to fascist ideals in real life, I think they would see any kind of gender fluidity as antithetical to their ideals. If men could just suddenly call themselves women, what's stopping all the mages from doing that? What kind of message does it send if one of the matriarchs decides to become a "patriarch"? Where would "agender" fall on the power structure? No. None of that. You are whatever we guess you are based on anatomy at birth.
Additionally, Lolth's hatred of Corellon, an elven god that straddles masculine and feminine, is burning. Elves blessed by Corellon are able to change their physical gender at will; it stands to reason that a goddess determined to be their opposite would revoke such freedoms in her society. She also loves suffering snd giving her own people more reasons to feel at odds with one another.
I think there's room for nuance in individual characters, but from a baseline worldbuilding standpoint I can't imagine lolthite societies being anything but horribly misandrist and by extension against anything that loosens the definition of "man" and "woman".

LFRP/FFXIV Friends
Hi! I'm Nihil, or Raven to some, and I'm looking for more people to RP or just chat with about FFXIV ocs, lore, and RP. I have a fair few ocs at this point, and most are listed below.
Feel free to message me! Important to note: I don't do ingame RP, as I prefer writing multi-paragraph (usually 2 to 3 paragraphs) messages and replies.
Idun - Budding Blood Mage
Sideblog: @idun-monnawesfv - NonWOL - He/They - Gay - Shipped (It's complicated)
A young Veena only in his 20s, they fled their master after enduring vicious attacks due to not perceiving themself as being male. Since, he has taken up work as a dancer, traveling around Eorzea before meeting a certain unscrupulous doctor in Ishgard. They are affectionately described as a "temperamental little spitfire".
Domitien Ormesang - Cursed Marksman
NonWOL - He/Him - Pan - Heartbroken and Recovering
He was not always a wanderer, in fact he was a weaver of some renown from Gridania before deciding to set out for Ishgard with his companion and lover. They suffered a terrible fate on that journey, however, leading to his lover's soul being consumed by the cursed weapon that he now carries. Now he searches for a way to break the curse and put his lover's soul to rest, by any means necessary.
White Masque - Cursecrafter
NonWOL - Any pronouns - Questioning - Single but Be Prepared
A being so old he has forgotten his birthname, and all that remains of who he was is the mask he takes his name from. His soul carries a stain, one which he routinely excises into cursed items. Feeling no attachment to these, they have been left behind wherever he has traveled, leading to some unfortunate souls stumbling upon one without realizing the price they demand.
Elenwe Celebrindal - Elven Knight
NonWOL - She/Her - Sapphic - Single
Hailing from a line of elves which were blessed long ago by the Pixies, she defends her home from Sin Eaters wherever they appear. She has lost many to the Light, yet she remains as brilliant as a star herself, determined to save any she can from being devoured or transformed. Many who have found themselves alone, without family nor friend after the Flood of Light or attacks by Sin Eaters, have found themselves welcomed by her.
Erravi goe Corvus - Raven Run Astray
NonWOL - He/Him - Gay - Single and Stressed
A former Imperial assassin, titled Censor, Avi was loyal to the empire until he became too much of a threat to leave alive. Every assassin of his order has been executed in secret after a certain number of years in service, and this was his fate too. Though he does not believe in gods, he thought it a miracle when he was taken in by a nobleman who happened upon him on death's door. As fate would have it, the man was a relative of the Lady of Haukke Manor, and Erravi escaped with quite a few new scars after his experience.
Micans Lilius - Naturalborn Lightwarden
WOL - He/Him - Gay - Shipped (Soulmates Beyond Time)
Micans was born in Garlean territory, the youngest of four children. His mother passed away shortly after his birth, something his father blamed him for until his dying day. Before that though, it was 12 years after Micans' birth that his father almost killed him, leaving him with a scar from the gunshot. His siblings bid him to run, and so he did, eventually making his way to Eorzea and starting his journey as the Warrior of Light. At times he believes Hydaelyn made the right choice, as the very Crystal of Light She bestowed upon him was furthering his light poisoning.

Hi ! I was wondering about minerva's thoughts when recruiting zevran ?
When I make pragmatic character i struggle to justify that cause at first it seems zevran has a big incentive to try again to kill you and pretend the first attempt never happened to his superiors.
for minerva specifically, a) she’s arrogant enough to believe that if she stopped someone once she can stop them again, b) she’s cynical enough about some of her companions’ more wish-washy heroic motivations that in some ways oddly she actually trusts more in zevran’s very clear and self-centred reasons for sticking with the party, and c) like (i would imagine) many elf wardens, even one as thoroughly disconnected from her culture as minerva who would not admit to this, she does have deep-seated curiosity about elven lives other than her own and an unwillingness to kill the first one she sees, given another option
you might also consider that zevran is just likeable, murdering him in cold blood after he told you everything you wanted would suck, and letting him loose with no other alternative for safety outside the crows might be even more dangerous than having him with you where you can keep an eye on him. also if your character isn’t an elf, i would expect a brosca or even a circle mage to deeply commiserate with his problem of not having had another chance in life but to do the will of others, and an aeducan and perhaps a cousland to truly understand the value of having an assassin on hand
just because your character accepts zev into the party doesn’t mean they have to immediately blindly trust him, after all! you can totally rp them as suspicious and watchful

Gilear (Faeth) Lavellan DA:I Playthrough
Was talking to pals in a server about Gilear RP playthroughs after we all freaked over the Veilguard reveals, because the Dragon Age-Dimension 20 fan venn diagram has a laaaarge overlap.
And playing as Gilear in any game is a fun challenge because the Fantasy High GM (Brennan Lee Mulligan) has been fighting the Intrepid Heroes' insistence that Gilear Faeth is the chosen one by killing him repeatedly, allowing him 0 weapons, and creating a character completely unfit for combat.
Gilear is cursed with bad luck, depression, and lemon yoghurt. He is my babygirl. And he WILL be the Inquisitor, savior of us all. Or die trying, repeatedly.
For this playthrough he is an elven mage because I want him to have the necromancer specialization (for the bit, of course) and because he would 100% bumble his way into being Keeper of Clan Lavellan. He was Vice Principal of Aguefort Adventuring Academy, after all. And, far more importantly, he was Lunch Lad.
The plan is to romance either Cassandra or Dorian. Cassandra because she's most like his ex-wife Sandra Lynn. Dorian because he's most like his new wife Hallariel. Leaning towards Dorian bc we wanna keep that divorced step-dad to the daughter he thought was biologically his background.
Technically, I could also go for The Iron Bull or Josephine. But The Iron Bull would eat Gilear alive and leave no crumbs. And I think Josephine would stress him out, reminding him too much of when he was a diplomat (in DA canon, a Lavellan clan ambassador ig)
For actual character creation (this totally didn't take me 2 hours. totally not) I tried to make him as wet, pathetic, and close to his FHJY design as possible.
Easter Eggs:
I picked the design for Gilear's vallaslin (Dalish facial tattoo w/ big significance) that would be closest to his daughter Fig's horns
The vallaslin design corresponds to Dirthamen, elven god of knowledge that taught the elves about loyalty and filial piety (afaik)
His inner iris is yellow, in reference to lemon yoghurt and the Armor of Pride
Okay I had to get this out because I put WAY TOO MUCH work into this guy! Will update more about the playthrough, probably under the "#gilear faeth lavellan IS the chosen one" tag.
Okay time to get to a point where I can fucking save.

Of course, my canon Rook will be a long-haired male elven mage with silver/white hair and either lavender, golden, silver or red eyes, high cheekbones, an aquiline nose, a sharp chin and if we can be blood mages he is definitely going to be one.
Hopefully the RP lets my Rook be a grim, sardonic, edgelord kind of a character so he can irritate his more chipper, bouyant companions and develop tension between him and Lucanis who is apparently a mage-killer.
He will still flirt with everyone else for the lolz before picking out Lucanis as his romance partner since it's a tradition for me to make my player character flirt with everyone before picking out my canon romance.
I will be transfering my world state where my Dorian romanced mage Lavellan Aedanthir is the Inquisitor, along with those where my chaotic, blood-mage Red Hawke Serenity who rival-romanced Anders was the Champion of Kirkwall, and the one where my megalomaniac, blood mage Warden Surana Mathalin who became the chancellor of Ferelden and romanced Morrigan was the Hero of Ferelden.
Later on I'd make other Rooks to romance everyone else. Although I am not a huge fan of Bioware as it is, I am still going to buy the game, because it's Dragon Age.

taking a break from playing veilguard so i can eat something because i have been up since 5am staring at this screen lmao (it's 1:40pm now)
initial thoughts: i am really enjoying it so far, with only a few hiccups. i'm barely into the beginning of the game, tho.
the combat is really chaotic and i'm not that great at the block and parry timing so i keep nearly dying but just barely scraping through. i'm sure i will get better with practice! i'm playing on normal/adventurer difficulty, and as a spellblade mage.
having to hit tab to choose abilities, so it pauses the combat for the menu (like in mass effect), is both a good and bad thing. good because of the fast chaotic combat, it gives you time to breathe. bad because it's jarring and takes you out of the action. seems a hard thing to balance and i'm not sure they got it right. though it may just be because it's new in DA and unfamiliar to me right now. it has also been years since i played mass effect, so.
enemies seem to solely target rook, and not the companions at all, so there is NO breathing room outside of spamming to dash away.
neve's voice actor is... not great. lace and bellara are wonderful. not sure how i feel about rook's british fem voice. the accent seems to fluctuate between northern english, london rp, and some american inflection? it's strange.
writing seems good. i like everyone's characterisation so far. though i am an elven veil jumper and there was one point where my rook commented as if she didn't know about the elven gods, despite me in another scene earlier picking a dialogue option to claim the dalish gods as "my" gods and explain them to neve. so there's that.
also the usual dialogue wheel issue where you don't actually really know what you're going to say until you pick it because it only shows you a short summary.
the world is beautiful. the setpieces are beautiful.
the arlathan forest music sounds exactly like mass effect music, because of a specific 80's-style synth motif it uses (im no music expert so i hope those words mean what i think they mean). it's a little jarring in the fantasy game since it reminds me so hard of the futuristic scifi game.

Shen’dralar: Ilyssae’s mother was never on fantastic terms with the other Eldre’thalas Highborne, and Ilyssae and her brother kept largely to themselves during those last couple centuries before Dire Maul was abandoned. That being said, some older Shen’dralar may remember seeing Ilyssae in passing, or have even suffered her presence when she was a petulant, brooding youth!
Field Research and Academia: Ilyssae went through a variety of teachers and learning institutions before finally clicking with her mentor Eoselle. Her magic studies these days are mostly independent, but she’s spent enough time in Stormwind, the Azuremyst isle, and Dalaran that fellow wizards and scholars might have worked with her on one thing or another however briefly!
Extended family: Naga, blood elves, high elves, Nightborne, or even the spidery fal’dorei—elves are kind of known for having evolved any which way in the aftermath of the Sundering, and Ilyssae’s family tree is full of holes after millennia of neglect. It’s entirely possible that she has a long-lost relative walking around in a different shape.
Fence-hopper: Although she is technically still an Alliance citizen, Ilyssae distanced herself from the kaldorei after the frosty reception her kind received post-Cataclysm (a decision she’s finally starting to second-guess) and is now working for a trading caravan crewed by oddballs and outcasts from both the Alliance and Horde. Maybe you’re one of her mixed-faction work acquaintances—or maybe you see her as a faction traitor and have a serious bone to pick with her.
Druid…?: Ever since coming back from the Shadowlands with golden eyes (and that’s a whole other story in itself), Ilyssae seems to have a new affinity for natural magic. However, she’s still stuck in the rigid thinking of a mage, so she’s always looking for Druids who have the patience and inclination to help her figure out this new side of her magic.
~ Out Of Character ~
IN-GAME: Ilyssae (formerly active on Wyrmrest Accord, mostly active on a private RP server these days)

Fyodor sounds super cool! Could you tell me more about them?
oh boy. You’ve opened pandora’s box
Fyodor started as a Warden Amell, they were my shithead playthrough where I picked all the funny fucked up dialogue and did the fucked up choices (not the mage genocide but like, fucking the desire demon instead of saving Connor, poisoned ashes, etc) except I started making funny hcs about them and then accidentally got really attached to them and started making actually serious hcs about them until they stopped being a sillyfunny character for my bastard playthru and started being an actual oc
In their current iteration that’s developed through rp, Fyodor is the younger sibling of the Amell origin. They’re a half elven bastard who’s also related to the Lavellan origin on their dad’s side, and so when their mother disappeared and the rest of their siblings were taken to Circles, their stepfather kind of didn’t wanna deal with them, so he shipped them off to a friend in Tevinter. Lucky for them, they wound up being a magic prodigy and fairly quickly managed admission into the Minrathous Circle, but being raised in that cutthroat ass environment immensely fucked them up and made them really, really crave the fantasy of control and power over it. Eventually they caught the eye of a Magister who had produced no suitable heir and he began grooming them to be the perfect mage, getting them involved in his schemes and pretty quickly crushing whatever altruism and optimism they had left. But he did his job too well, because he was just a stepping stone to them, and Fyodor began slowly poisoning him, which presented as him falling ill - expected in his old age. Naturally, he named his prodigal student to be his heir, and Fyodor earned a seat in the Magisterium upon his death.
Anyways, come DA2, they find themself in Kirkwall to deal with the Tome of Koslun plot, and they quickly find that hey, they still have family in the city! One thing leads to another, and they end up getting pretty much adopted in the Hawkes. See, while they’re a domineering cunt in Tevinter, they know that doesn’t serve them in Kirkwall, so they let the mask down and present more as a silly zany cousin to the Hawkes. It’s actually kind of really good for them, gives them a break from the false niceties and backstabbing of Tevinter politics and lets them act like an actual person and be a little goofy and earnest from time to time. That, and they developed a big emptiness in Tevinter what with the huge importance placed on bloodline and familial ties, what with them not knowing their biodad’s side of the family at all, Revka being who knows where, and their siblings all being in Circles to their knowledge. So the Hawkes being blood relatives kind of fulfills that need, but the whole Kirkwall gang becomes a weird found family to them. That is to say, while they’re in Tevinter doing Magister business in between Acts most of the time, they wind up in Kirkwall as a companion for the main story beats to hang out.
Obviously, not a good person at all, and their friendly down to earth Kirkwall persona is just another mask. There isn’t really a real Fyodor, they have NPD like hell and don’t feel like they exist outside the perceptions of others, so every interaction is them bending to what they think their company wants them to be. Enter Fenris rivalmance because he’s the only one that really sees right through them, which is another thing that happened through rp pretty organically and kinda unexpectedly. I can talk about them in another post but TLDR: enemies to hatefucking to ghosting to husbands. They’re emotionally messy as fuck until Act 3 but not in a totally unhealthy way, just that they’re both unwell mfs who don’t deal with their issues like they’ve had 280 hours of DBT. It helps that, unlike the canon rivalmance, Fyodor doesn’t invalidate how Fenris feels ever, they actually really agree with a lot of his views on Tevinter and will openly tell Anders to fuck off and stop bothering him, which throws Fenris a lot but Fyo is really only in it for their own power and doesn’t actually like Tevinter, it’s just the only country where being a blood magic prodigy is grounds for rulership. Fyodor is a smug annoying little bastard, but they’re pretty respectful to him, his beef with them is more a moral revulsion to them. It takes time for Fenris to actually grow to trust Fyodor actually cares about him, but luckily, DA2’s time frame leaves room for that to happen. The hatefucking is because it’s a more mutually beneficial way to settle arguments, without any feelings attached until act 2-3 intermission except there very much are and both of them are in denial about it. Eventually they wind up together by act 3 :]
In DAI, Fyodor hears about the Venatori because they’re targeted for recruitment - they’re one of the most knowledgeable demonologists in Tevinter, and the Venatori need that. Except they know it’s bullshit, they think it’s horrific, so they join mostly out of morbid curiosity and for political partnerships with other Magisters in it while tipping off the Archon to their identities so he can hunt them for sport a la Magekiller. So when the Inquisition is founded, Fyo and Fen run off to join, Fyo as a quote unquote Venatori spy (except they straight up go to the Inquisition and up front say the Venatori want them to spy and arrange to be a double agent for Leliana instead) Basically in DAI they’re a very shady morally grey antihero playing both sides of the war but ultimately they want the Venatori out of Tevinter and they want to make the country better. They’re like a more self serving cunty morally loose Dorian basically. (They also happen to be catty exes with Dorian, fun story) Post game they end up being a founding member of the Lucerni!
Besides all that, some other fun details: They’re profoundly Deaf & autistic !! They communicate through sign language and they have a peppy apprentice named Minerva who travels with them to interpret for them and get in on their crazy magic bullshit. They have a lifelong special interest in entomology and publish research on local insects as a side hobby, all their outfits have some element of insectoid motif and they have big big hyperempathy for bugs because they were neglected by their adoptive father in Tevinter and it led to them having a really big love for “pests” and bugs most people overlook. They have a big love for roaches and they have pet hissers among other bugs :) They care for their pets more than anything and are very defensive of bugs in general. On more than one occasion they have genuinely deadass used blood magic to control the rest of the DA2 party to stop them from killing a bug. By the end of act 1 it’s a known fact that if you try to smash or step on a bug in their presence you Will get blood magic’ed into leaving it be while they take it outside. Also, loosely alluded to it in my tags for that other post, but they have a complex array of runes and sigils carved into their skin providing the effects of antimagic enchantments, mostly preventing blood magic use against them. It has the side effect of thinning the veil around them and making them kinda unnerving to be around to anyone sensitive to shifts in the veil.
TLDR: Silly goofy bitch Da2 fan companion who blood magicked and girlbossed their way into the Magisterium and winds up worming their way into the Hawkes’ hearts

There are magic officials who do the exact same thing you're asking me to do! I'd ask if you even looked into this at all, but you already said you didn't do any studying!!
Hmm, I should sell potions, But I'll need materials, You'll be my first T st subject, Give me ingredients And I'll Make something for you for free
(Sorry if this sounds creepy or anything)
Wait, a t-test subject?! There better be some consent forms or something to fill out...and you'll need the proper licenses before you just start selling potions!!
*It seems she's understandably nervous about being used as a test subject. She'll want to see some paperwork or something so she knows exactly what she's getting into.*
(ooc: the vibes this ask is giving off is like in Zelda games where the potion sellers are like: "bring me a bottle or this mushroom and I'll make you a potion for free!")

Romance, shipping: chemistry is crucial, she isn’t the easy type. This blog is multiship, each ship will happen in their own AU’s. Hate ship, friendship, familial bonds are welcomed as well, we can discuss it in private.
I’ll usually write para, sometimes multi-para, depending on the nature of our thread, but please, dont feel pressured to reply the same! I use icons in almost every thread and will format the text with , but that’s all. I don’t require fancy formatting or icons from my writing partners, you can do whatever you like.
Speed in replying does not indicate my interest in a thread. Sometimes it takes me weeks to give you a proper answer, sometimes the muse is stronger for other things. I do have a busy life (we all do, in fact), I’m slow and my activity is spotty, thus I ask your patience.
Finally, don’t hesitate to throw your ideas at me via OOC chat or Discord. I’m also fine with simple chatting, I love talking, and I promise I’m a nice girl. Thank you for reading this!

Gonna talk about my sad sad but also evil sun elf:
A preface of my dnd blorbos is that although they all have character sheets, they aren't intended to like. be playable in an actual campaign. this is from a text rp with my friends on discord that we sometimes do rolls for but the narrative > game mechanics, so...
So I have this homebrewed region called Napoli that is based off of. Uh. Irl Naples specifically the area around a volcano. So like. There was this thriving elf society called Fetesel - literally Forgotten Realms Elven for "fire mountain" because listen, thats how shit like this gets named irl.
So you have this sun elf, Zhoron. His House is the house in charge of the military. But then the volcano erupted and killed like almost his entire family except him, his mom, and his half moon elf cousin. AND THEN humans came and offered to help rebuild in exchange for fealty which as we all know is not actually helping at all.
Now what you gotta understand about Forgotten Realms is that sun elves are like REALLY REALLY RACIST. And Zhoron was super gung ho about rejecting human help to begin with, but the elf king was like "dude we have no army we can't win if they invade" and Zhoron was really sad about it. Also he was suddenly the head of his House due to all of his family dying so that was fun. But the new human leadership made him part of the human council while the elf council was left to just...sit there tbh. House Faeravel was split into two branches - Military and espionage and now this poor fucker was in charge of both since he only has like 3 family members including himself. So the human Count (human king gave him the county since he managed to convince the elves to give up without a fight) made him the Court Mage, history tutor and Spymaster.
Fantastic Racism aside, Zhoron kind of has valid reason to hate humans! Since they, you know, are occupying his country/kingdom/whatever. So he grew up being trained to be a combat mage - really really good at magic, really good at weaponry, although his official Class is Epic Level Wizard and Epic level Assassin - because he had to cram a bunch of espionage lessons into his brain. The assassin part is because, well...the humans didn't exactly treat the elves kindly. At one point, a group of humans were bullying his cousin for being born out of wedlock (because in this homebrew elves literally do not give a fuck about that but humans do) and it turned into a physical fight that ended up way more lethal than anybody intended, so...that's how he got enough evil alignment to become an assassin.
He was INTENDED as a villain, a well intentioned extremist slowly working to expel the entire human and now half elf population (because humans have now lived here for at least a century) but one of my friends got attached so we're shoving him through a redemption arc.
His familiar is a false black widow spider specifically to harass Drow in the event he ever had to deal with one (they live near an underdark entrance where giant spiders sometimes get loose. The human king thinks this is great because now the kingdom of napoli gets an easy supply of luxury spider silk plus all the good crops from volcanic soil), his weapon is a longsword, he has a dead twin sister and he has fucking ombre red to blonde hair. :)

I was thinking about some of my old RP characters that have been dormant for quite some time. One of these characters is a bit sour for me, but I want to talk a bit about her; She is a night elf mage named Anaria Moonseeker. I no longer have anything saved about her, so I will have to rely on my (terrible) memory.
From an early age she had been interested in magic, the arcane, and more specifically the Shen'dralar. When it was time for her to find her place in Azeroth, she didn’t hesitate to reach out to Mordent Evenshade who was newly accepted back into the night elven society to begin her training as an arcane mage. She devoted herself entirely to her studies, even tattooing arcane runes on her left arm. At the time her parents still lived in Teldrassil, and she had a brother who was traveling and eventually settled to work with the Guardians of Hyjal (it could have been another faction, but I don’t remember).
She also had a partner who was a blood elf paladin working for the Argent Crusade. Her job with the Crusade usually kept them apart, but they always tried to make time to see each other. This is where the story ends though as myself and the paladin’s mun ended up having a falling out and eventually stopped talking altogether. I hope she’s doing much better now than she was back then. I ended up putting Anaria aside and never looking at her again.
Anaria never came to be in the actual game. She only ever existed as WMV mockups and stories. Now a LOT has happened in Warcraft since then including the destruction of Teldrassil. I thought about having her perishing in the fires, but I have trouble killing off things I put time and energy into.
So what if she survived? The bottom image is what I would imagine she might look like - flame scarred and semi-blind in one eye but still there. I haven’t thought much about her family or any more than that. I even almost hit the character create button, but I don’t need another mage right now. Maybe later she will make another appearance when the time is right.
Image 1: WMV mockup by me. Image 2: Artwork by MischiArt that my RP partner commissioned. I cropped out her character for this post for privacy, but I still have the full image and am grateful she included Anaria in it despite everything. Image 3: WoW character creation screen.
