Dorian had quickly become a reliable ally despite some disapprovals. Though the others didn't remember what happened in that alternate timeline he and Dorian fought to save them. The man was a talented mage that was striving to do good but was seen as lesser then others because of his tevinter origin. Much like the controversies that the Inquisitor himself had faced and was still facing due to being half vampire. So when Mother Giselle informed him about a letter from Dorian's father Alucard didn't hesitate to bring it to the mage who was not happy in the slightest. Though Dorian didn't elaborate the inquisitor encouraged him that they should atleast show, that he would be there to have his back and wouldn't have to face this alone.

They headed to Redcliff village for this meeting but instead of a retainer being there on the Pavus family behalf, it was Halward himself. The meeting went all down hill from there. Alucard watched on and could literally see the distress in Dorian's aura as the conversation went on, he offered his companion to leave but Halward kept pushing. Then the bombshell was dropped. First it was shock, Alucard who had come from a loving family couldn't fathom a parent torturing their child. But then that shock turned to cold blooded rage when he saw Dorin on the brink of tears and voice cracking.

Alucard instantly put himself between Dorian and Halward and in a flash slammed his fist into the magister's jaw. The man was knocked back and crashed into the wooden table behind him, atleast one tooth knocked out. Before the senior Pavus could even attempt to rise the inquisitor's enchanted sword was levitating just above the magister with the tip of the blade at the man's throat.

"How dare you." The dhampir said darkly. "How dare you do such an unspeakable thing to your child! That is your flesh and blood, the life you created. As a father you are supposed to guide your son and help him excel, to love him for who he is. Not try and change him!" Alucard snarled, towering over the magister and casted a draining spell just to hit home just how helpless he was and was going to listen to what the inquisitor had to say. "Dorian is the best man I've ever met, one of the most talented mages with a good heart. Any man would be blessed to have his love. And you're concerned about having an heir? He's not a damned dog to be bred against his will!"

His sword was quivering in the air as it was taking all Alucard's will power not to kill this bastard. He snatched his blade and placed it in it's sheath on his belt, gold eyes still glaring daggers at the man. "You are leaving here with your life only because I want you to suffer knowing that you will NEVER see your son again. If you ever attempt to contact Dorian again I will summon a Blite like history has never known upon your home and I will personally feed your blackened heart to the Archdemon." Alucard threatened with a seriousness as sharp as his blade before he turned on his heel and put his arm around his friend.

"Coming here was a mistake, I'm so sorry I brought you here." His tone instantly more caring and comforting when speaking to Dorian. He didn't know just how bad it was between Dorian and Halward and his heart wept for the mage he had come to care so much for in a short amount of time. He would do everything in his power to never let anything like that happen to Dorian again.

"I will not argue to being praised and spoiled." He said with a smile and glanced to the sky that had fallen quiet, seemed they missed most of the fireworks display. But that was okay with him, Alucard had what he wanted right in his arms. He glanced back to Dorian and nodded back towards their room. "Nothing is stopping you from doing these things you wish to do to me~"

The more Dorian spoke the more flustered he became. He lined down to hide his face against the mage’s neck, wanting to just bury himself in the blanket they were wrapped up in. “You are too much!” The inquisitor said with a soft whine. Though he complained he really did enjoy it as he would never tell Dorian to stop.

He lifted his head back up and stole a kiss from his lover and smiled fondly. “It’s nice to have someone recognize all the good qualities I have…” Alucard said softly and breathed out in content. Having someone see him for his good deeds and talents was like finding a diamond in the rough after having so many first see him as a monster or a danger. “You are the best gift I’ve ever recieved.”

Dorian couldn’t help but chuckle a little as Alucard hid his bashful face against his neck, moving his hands to rub his lover’s back. For such a tall, powerful man, he could be so adorable! “Oh? I think it’s just what you deserve, amatus. Someone to praise and spoil you every moment of the day. That’s what someone so handsome and kind needs.”

“Mm…” Dorian hummed into their kiss, only slightly surprised by the move. “Well, someone around here has to. Anyone who regards you in any other light is clearly blind, deaf, and dumb.” Dorian said with a huff. His expression changed at Alucard’s further words, blushing as his eyelids lowered half-way. “Amatus…the things you make me want to do to you…” Press him against the nearest surface and ravish him silly, for one.

Everyone meet Solomon Silverworth and his child friend travel buddy tau ‘associate’ Al’vah.

They’re a pretty simple duo and I only have so much lore on them settled rn but gehehehehe I lurv them

Their story is pretty early but basically what happened is Silverworth, a member of the Ordo Xenos the irony I know, is doing his work. Taking and cleansing a Xenos ship trespassing imperial airspace and not heeding his warnings. Upon their mission however he begins to realize this ship has various civilians in it, his own moral code and tragic past catch up with him and he is starting to have a breakdown when- gasp?! One of the few tau left get into a fist fight with one of his soldiers giving Silverworth a chance to rectify this even if only a little.

So he saves Al’vah from the soldier and in that moment decides “huh….new child” bc old man is a big old baby and misses his wife and kids very very very much pls pls pls god emperor he misses them— and needs something to keep his mind off that void.

So new child acquired :3 wdym he can’t love a xenos like his own child? You get a divine smite from the gauntlet and a firm talking to.

I love them so fucking much…

Finally finished my first playthrough in Veilguard and hoo boy, it feels satisfying and cathartic to see a hypocritical and deceptive POS being outplayed in his own game. Or maybe he isn't a player to begin with.

And no Solas, you never taught Rook. Stop making everything about you. Varric did. He's good at bullshit as you are but at least unlike you he doesn't attempt to destroy the world that gave him nothing but grief. He believed that Rook didn't do anything wrong when the organization they served shoved them aside for doing the morally right thing.

Many think that it is a normal ending, but this is a good ending for me.

I know its a common rpg thing to ask deeply personal questions mid convo w companions but there’s a way to do it well without feeling like ur MC is stupid or breaking rp- you know what games did that well for me, bg3 and DA2 I never felt punished for asking questions it felt so natural to ask Gale a bunch of magic/mystra related questions even as a wizard but in DAI why am i asking lelianna if she had gay sex with the pope?? I dont know her like that

Some enemies Alucard was too soft hearted to kill, he felt awful when having to kill certain creatures in order to defend his company. Sometimes they just happened to stumble upon dangerous animals who were only attacking out of self preservation. Dragons and Drakes being some of them, the inquisitor was always depressed after those battles.

But right now he was having a ball! He smiled brightly at Dorian's exclamation to their combo attack, doing it once again when the mage casted another time. Alucard then dashed to Bull's aid to cast a healing wave over him as the qunari was always recklessly charging in. In just a few short minutes the valley was clear of monsters and they could breathe in peace. "Well that definitely got our blood pumping." Alucard stated as he sheathed his sword and pulled his hood back up to protect himself from the sun. "I think now would be a good time to pause and rest before we continue on."

“With pleasure.” Alucard said as he drew his blade. There were some creatures the kind hearted Inquisitor didn’t like to kill, Quillbacks were not one of them. They were nasty creatures, like a vulture fused with a boar and even though these were scavengers they attacked anything that got near them.

He slashed at the monsters with Bull as Varric and Dorian attacked from a safe distance. At one point Alucard snatched a ball of fire the mage had cast out of the air and combined it with his own to make the spell more powerful before shooting it out at the enemies to burn them to a crisp.

Of the enemies they could face, Dorian was glad it was quillbacks. Creatures, but creatures that Alucard would kill without hesitation. When it was other animal-like foes, the man could be a bit…soft. He imagined the man was the type to capture and release any bugs/spiders that happened into his home. Such was the man who had captured his heart.

Dorian grinned as Alucard combined his magic with his own, eyes lighting with the brilliance they were known for when discovering knew methods of spellcasting and the like. “Ha! Take that!” He shouted, twirling his staff around before firing once more.
