I've had a number of people complain about my increasing number of political posts/reblogs in my messages and asks. They said stuff like "keep politics out of the fandom space" or "stick to only fanfiction"

There is absolutely, unequivocally, no way that I will ever stop using my voice. If you don't like it, (dis)respectfully fuck off.

I'll let you in on some knowledge. I'm named after a woman in my family who, against all odds, survived the Holocaust. One of the only members of my family to have done so. I carry that name with honour. She spent her later life advocating and defending Palestinians and their right to a single, united, and prosperous nation free from, in her words, the "taint of the Israeli state." I don't just carry her name, but I carry her mission with me as well.

My grandfather, who passed just two months ago, spoke on his deathbed words that I hold with me every day. He apologized that he "did not fight hard enough" against the Nazis when he served in WWII. Here he was, an old man who lived a good long life, only worried about the future for others and blaming himself when there was no blame to shoulder. His deathbed was tainted by these bastards.

So, i'm a Twitter refugee, and i'm here to give a status report. Just like his wife, Elon is rebranding Twitter to "X". Just, why? What the fuck is his purpose? The fuck is he even doing? Is he reverting back to his edgelord phase where the letter "X" sounded cool even though it absolutely didnt and was cringe as fuck? I'm glad i'm on Tumblr because I can say "Fuck you, Elon, I hope your entire family abandons you and your companies blow up and your shitty emerald mine closes down" without any consequences.
