“Absolutely not,” Jas said, picking his TOPGUN diploma off the shelf. “That’s where all my nieces and nephews’ homemade Christmas decorations go.”

Jake glared at his girlfriend. They’d been at this all week, and somehow, he’d only unpacked one moving box, the rest still stacked in various rooms around Jas’ house.

“It’s not Christmas yet,” he pointed out.

She handed the framed diploma back to him. “But it will be,” she reminded him with a wicked smile on her face. “And then there’s no room for that on the shelf.”

Jake opened his mouth to argue back. To argue that he couldn’t keep his life in boxes forever and that they weren’t really living together if she didn’t let him put his stuff up around the house. However, all the arguments he’d lined up disappeared when she booped his nose.

He blinked rapidly, first staring down at his nose and then at Jas’ finger as her hand fell back at her side. “Did you...” he trailed off, shaking his head. “Did you just boop my nose?”

“Don’t be ridiculous,” Jas snorted, and brushed past him, rounding the kitchen island. “Coffee?”

He turned on his heel, watching Jas as she grabbed the mugs with hand-painted mushrooms on them that’d been an anniversary gift from her moms last year. “I can’t believe you booped my nose,” he muttered, walking to her and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her back against his chest.

He nuzzled into her neck, kissing her pulse point, and Jas shrieked at the contact, laughter breaking up the silence in her house. Their house. “Jake!” she exclaimed as he spun her around to face him.

“You gotta let me unpack, Doc,” he told her and booped her nose.

���Fine,” she relented, defeat in her bright blue eyes. “Just not on that shelf, okay?”

Leaning down, he kissed her like his life depended on it. He’s pretty sure it did. “Okay,” he muttered against her lips as her arms snuck around his neck, deepening the kiss.

okay so like i finally was working up the courage to start working on some fan fic for the society after a while, like i planned a bunch of things and i have gotten started to the point where i’m already over 6,000 words in on a chapter

but now i’m scared that with the cancellation if it truly stays cancelled (fingers crossed that with all this anger and attention that maybe just maybe someone else will pick it up 👀 hulu) that the fandom will die and no one will care

so idk just like let me know if y’all would still wanna read hallie AUs and anything else i came up with (all of it is AUs) even with all of this OR especially with all of this because i know what makes me smile is seeing all the fan content

Hopefully season 2 of The Society comes sooner rather than later. But here’s a couple headcannons for what I hope/think will happen

- it starts three months into the new government. To the public, Lexie and Harry (with Campbell) have a good and polished image and everything looks clean. But behind the scenes things are so bad. Harry is dangling and is so addicted to the drugs Campbell provides him. He hates how he’s even wrapped up in the politics and he wishes he could’ve just never taken any pills in the first place. It controls him so much. He’s angry when he doesn’t have any to take, but it all melts away when takes another pill. He thinks about Allie and what she would say or do if she knew how bad things are for him. She’s kept on house arrest with Will and Harry wants to be the one there with her instead of him, but he pushes those thoughts away and takes more pills.

- Lexie is so terrified. She doesn’t feel comfortable at all. She thought they were in an alliance but as soon as they were declared co mayors she’s felt like a puppet on a string. The guard scares her still and they don’t care enough about her so they turn the other way when Campbell hits her or grabs her. She’s never talked to him at school before and now she wishes she had stuck to that. It didn’t take her long to put the pieces together about why Elle was arrested. Lexie’s gotten to know Harry better, when he’s trying to stay off the pills he’ll come to her room and just babble about his life before and how much he misses Allie and he’ll usually fall asleep on the foot of her bed. One day Campbell hit her so hard she ended up with a black eye and Harry just froze. Harry helped her to her room and she cried until she fell asleep, hoping to wake up from the nightmare

- Campbell tries to find more ways to control them. He’s running out of pills to give Harry and Lexie’s fear won’t be enough. He takes more pills that look similar to the ones he gives Harry and scratches out the name and gives it to him. He scares Lexie into talking and campaigning, because she’s charming and smart and the people listen to her. Campbell’s pushing for Allies excecution, but It’s Luke who comes to him and tells him that he’ll tell Everyone he lies if Allie dies. So he keeps her under house arrest.

- Helena and Luke aren’t on the same page, there’s something wrong but she can’t place what it is. But she sees Campbell and Luke talk about how he lied about Allie and now she understands. She wants to believe that he’ll do the right thing and tell her so that they can come up with a way to free them. But a month later she asks him about it and he admits everything. Helena leaves her ring on the table and walks out.

- Allie can’t stand being alone. They’ve kept her and Will in different houses (theyre right next to each other though) so she’s mostly alone. She had one surprise visit from Harry. She could tell he was high because of how much he rambled. He talked a lot about Campbell and Lexie and the facade they keep and she feels bad for thinking it should have been Campbell instead of Casandra. And then Harry tells her he loves and her and she doesn’t know what to say. So she kisses him next to an open window and Will’s heart breaks for the girl he thought he loved as he sees her through his own window

- Harry, Lexie, and Elle kill Campbell one day. He just pushed too hard and Lexie stabs him in the chest. He’s still up and he tries to grab her, but Elle shoots Campbell in the head. The Guard walks into it and they know the pain Campbell caused them so they help burry the body and hide the evidence
