"Yes, before you bite my tongue off for saying it, I'm very aware you can defend and look after yourself but that is not the point. I like.." he inhaled deeply only to exhale through his nostrils that flared with want of trying to find the words. "I like the peace of mind it gives me to know that you're in as little trouble as possible on my behalf.. rumours are malicious, they're one of the worst forms of poison and jealous people make foolish mistakes. I would worry somebody else's jealousy would cost me something that I..." the word Elias, think of the right word. "..cherish."

The high lord of the night, intimidating as rumour would have it. Powerful, domineering, intimidating, cruel... none of which described Elias. The man behind the title. That is why he knew the power behind a rumour, he upheld the rumour of his reputation, he played a part.. because that it what it meant to protect the people that lived under his jurisdiction. "You know that if I could figure something out, I would never be without you... but you also know, I'll never go too far from you so on this occasion, trust me?" he asked looking up at him with eyes that reflected every star in the sky, the darkest of skies, the one that apparently belonged to him.

BIOGRAPHY

They say when life gives you lemons, you're supposed to make lemonade. But what if those lemons are rotten? What if they are swimming with maggots? Then what? As a child, Elias couldn't sit still, which drove his parents insane. Fortunately, his older sister was infinitely patient with him and eventually persuaded Mr. and Mrs. Duval to send their kid to see a therapist. Elias was ultimately diagnosed after multiple tests and a long list of potential concerns. Borderline Personality Disorder, or BPD for short. It explained a lot of things, and his parents were relieved to hear there was something they could do to help their troubled son. No, they couldn't cure it, but they could manage it. Or at least try to. So, at the age of 13, Elias was already receiving antipsychotic and antianxiety medications.

He had difficulty establishing friends since he lacked patience with them, and others frequently considered him irritating. A minor issue could escalate into a major one, causing him to erupt and become aggressive. This degree of aggressiveness gained him a nasty reputation, which did him no favors when his sister was discovered dead in their home. Her throat was slit from ear to ear. Of course, 15-year-old Elias was the primary suspect and was detained for questioning. He claimed that he had been suffering from backouts for a long time and had no memory of what had occurred. Police found no evidence that could tie him to that crime and so he was released back to the custody of his parents. Elena's death was later ruled as a suicide since the only prints on the murder weapon were her own.

Case closed. People in town avoided him like the plague after that. They would stand in corners and whispered things like, "He definitely did it." It didn't stop him from graduating high school and attending university, where he majored in English and eventually earned a PhD in History. This qualified him to become a professor at Antioch University. He had an eventful past, but by the time he was 30, everyone in town had forgotten about what had transpired 15 years before. That is, until another death revived those recollections. Nicole Duval, Elias' beautiful wife, died in a horrible accident while hiking. Elias alleges that they were standing beside a cliff and that he looked away from her for a few minutes. That when he looked back she was gone. He failed to mention the fight they were having prior to that and that he has no memory of even making it to the damn cliff. Her broken body was discovered at the bottom of a giant rock. Elias was then arrested and became the primary suspect in a murder investigation for the second time. Once again, he was released due to lack of evidence and Nicole's death was ruled an accident.

The University gave him a warning, he was suspended, it was a mess. However, after Elias threatened to sue the University if they fired him they decided to keep him in their staff. After all, he had been cleared of all charges so there was no reason why he should be punished for what seemed like a horrible misunderstanding. Now there seems to be a serial killer at large and some believe that he might be involved. Elias was not surprised when police showed up at his house with a warrant and was taken into the station to be drilled for 5 hours. His alibi isn't that solid since Elias doesn't particularly keep a social life.

PERSONALITY

Elias is a petri dish of anxieties and mood swings. Because of his BPD, he doesn't have his emotions under control. He does take medication but he still finds it difficult to find a good balance between drowning in depression and burning with anger. Most of the time he turns his anger inward and ends up hurting himself. He also manages this with pills and lots of alcohol. Honestly, his status at the University is hanging by a thread these days. "Seamus." He snapped his name at him, it wasn't like he'd even realised that he said he loved him, all he heard was the fact he might be expected to gon without him. There was a fire, an attack on his home, they'd left and Elias had no idea where his family where. He didn't know if they were in that building, but they'd always said in an emergency, get out and worry after... he'd have been dead to, if not for Seamus. He'd have stayed, searched for them, burnt in that mansion just in hopes of dragging his family out safely. He was panting now, marks of soot that'd smudged his face. He stretched his hand back, outstretched and waiting for him to take it again. THey had to keep moving or whoever had attacked would catch up. "You can tell me again, ten times, ten thousand times, but I am not going anywhere without you."

His fingers flexed, tears fresh in his dark eyes, eyes that pleaded like his very soul ached. "Seamus please, it isn't that I can't, I simply won't go on without you.. so please, if I'm to lose everything else in the world so be it, but not you. Take my hand and come with me, so you can tell me those three words daily." Frustration is what flared his nostrils. "Goddamn it Seamus just take my hand!" The hooves beating the ground had his ears twitched, but he wasn't going to be a coward, he would never leave him face whatever attacked alone.

If you could marry any of the R6 operators, who would It be? (You can marry one or multiple) If you had to chose a squad to be in, which one and why? And finally, out of all of the operators which ten would you chose to be you friends and why?

Oooo this is an interesting one cause there's a lot of operators that I love for real but realistically would probably not be the best to marry.

The first that comes to mind is probably Alexsandr, but then again we haven't actually ever seen his face and then my age gap is really large so hmm. While I love Kali to bits I feel like getting in an argument with her would be the worst thing in the world. Lion's super catholic and I feel like long term I wouldn't be compatible.

I think I would probably want to marry Elias, he genuially seems like someone who would just be the most compatible as a person. Hes fun, chill but caring. While he's still like almost double my age, its far better than Alex. Probably after Elias would be Jordan, again he's a chill funny guy. Both perfect husband material. Maybe Gustave, he's very down to Earth and emphatic but also realistic.

Maybe Eliza? I prefer males more with my bisexuality but I do like Eliza a lot. While she's pretty shut in at time her determination and care for her teammates is really admirable and frankly shes certainly someone I would not exactly overlook her flaws but they're not deal breakers.

Those two are so damn funny and cultural wise I feel like I could vibe with them even realistically I'm not really an active person. I would say I'd love to get to know Yumiko, she seems pretty damn cool. Grace, as someone whos into gaming I'd like to chill with her. Ooo certainly Tina, that woman is the biggest nerd in R6S and damn I'd love to hear that woman rant. Miles is always described in lore at being super chill and just great to be around so enough said.

Sam is old as balls but I think he would be a cool dad friend, he seems to be able to see things seriously but also the humour in things. Certainly would give good advice. Jack is a lil nerd and I actually have a friend similar to him. I'm into music a lot while I'm not into a huge amount of like hardcore metal like he is, I listen to a lot of Jmetal (I like a huge amount of different genres) so I think I could bond well with him on music and stuff. Marius is a hard one, he's also a super big nerd (we already know he's into Star Trek) so I imagine I would like him a bunch as a friend or just wouldn't get along with him at all. No in-between.

Welcome to how I thing some of the brothers would embarrass our au girls.

The Hughes boys: honestly with Gracie all they gotta do is tease her about how in love with Elias she is and they’ve got her right where they want her. But with Aspen they baby her because she’s just their baby sister. With Maya though nothing is better than straight up telling John about the crushes she’s gone through. Darcy has no poker face so the boys tell EVERYONE how she was scared of the dark and used to end up in Quinn’s bed in tears when she was small.

Sidney Crosby: Charlotte is his little sister so he’s always going to baby her but the true way to embarrass her is by telling Jake all about how he’s never seen his sister so in love with a guy, well ignoring all the older hockey players she used to have crushes on as their posters would be in her room.

The Tkachuk brothers: with Camille they just bring up now there was times in her life where she thought Sidney had fallen out of love with her at the beginning and what if she realised she loved him too late. With Blair honestly they just make her mushy by telling her all about how much they love her, it gives Trevor a chance to see she really would love him if he was a worm.

The Duke brothers: Allie is their usual leader but it is easy for them to tell Luke that she’s so clearly always had a crush on him and her face instantly turns to a bright red tomato.

Cole Caufield: Kennedy actually used to have a crush on Trevor when she was a teenager, much to the dismay of Jack (especially when they weren’t talking) but now he too reminds her of it when Trevor pisses her off.

The Fantilli brothers: all they have to do is refer to Marisa as a cougar and she’s throwing pillows at them telling them to fuck off.

Seamus Casey: Victoria had a past of acne and braces all whilst she had a crush on the captain of their highschool basketball team. She once went to a game and ended up with a broken nose because he threw a ball that ended up hitting her, she never went back and Seamus never let her live that one down.

Nico Hischier: with Mila he just babies her, teasing her about certain things will always get a giggle out of Jack and a glare out of her.

Ok ok ok so. Indulge me. This is how we found the Godslayer in the first place (and almost immediately lost it)

Back when I started with this group, we were playing Pathfinder, which is 3.5e, with a few alterations. It's a lot more complex, with a lot of moving parts, but basically the same mechanics as DnD. The classes are a little different, but not that bad.

The players were Seamus, a vampire black blade magus (which is like a warlock, but he gets his powers from a sentient blade he named Toulouse. Toulouse is lawful evil and also hates Seamus, but he hates being stuck on the mantelpiece even more)

Elia (oreed ranger, chaotic silly)

Adam (the [sometimes unwilling and unhappy] paladin of the sun god, Tierken, and seraphim. He will be important later)

Roxanne (half elf monk)

And a couple other players who came and went as their schedules allowed.

This started out as a oneshot because we were all bored and our DM was like haha, here! Fun little one shot game with no lasting consequences :)

We all answer a call to find a legendary magical artifact, the golden fleece, which is rumored to be lost in a jungle temple (except Adam, who gets voluntold by his god to Do This, Or Else). The guy hiring us (I dont remember his name, so I'll call him big wizard) tells us that our payment will come after we recover the fleece, plus whatever we want to take from the temple vault. Cool, we get freebies.

We track through the jungle, locate the temple, and battle our way down into the depths as a Classique DnD Dungeon Crawl. There are hordes of undead (which seamus attempted to bond with by virtue of also being undead, which... didn't work), constructed temple guardians, traps, the works.

Eventually we make it to the vault and locate the fleece, which Adam takes. Everyone is going through the treasure vault oohing and aahing over the weapons and gold they're picking up, EXCEPT:

Seamus.

Seamus is pouting because he's not finding any cool swag like the rest of them. He's scrounging through the treasure, looking for shit to steal, when Toulouse is like.... hey... I sense a presence here. Go check it out.

Led by Toulouse, Seamus finds a concealed door to a secret compartment. Inside is a long, dark bridge across a chasm, and a sword in a stone. In the stone, and all across the bridge, are warnings in hundreds of thousands of languages, some modern, some ancient. All of them repeat the same thing: Danger. Turn back. Toulouse can sense a presence in the sword and posits that it's probably semi sentient, like Toulouse itself, and is advising Seamus that it may be dangerous, but potentially very, very powerful.

Seamus says HAHA COOL SWORD and goes for it.

Now, he doesn't really want to get in trouble for ignoring the warnings and taking the sword out of the stone, so he throws his cloak over it to see if he can try and smuggle it out. The INSTANT he removes it from the stone, he awakens more temple guardians. The temple starts collapsing in on itself, being sucked into a pocket dimension somewhere in the astral sea, so the party has to hightail it the fuck out of there.

Nobody questions where Seamus got the sword, so after they (barely) escape, they get through the jungle again and return to the big wizard who hired them.

He's very grateful for the fleece, which he will take to his Queen, and asks to see what else we picked up from the vault. We're all showing him our cool weapons and he's telling us what magical properties they have and how they're powerful and useful.

Until.

He gets to Seamus.

Seamus VERY PROUDLY displays the blade, which he still has wrapped up in the cloak, and Big Wizard immediately freezes.

At this point, Seamus draws the blade, touching it with his bare skin for the first time. I will never forget the look of pure shock and terror my DM gave me across the table. He was staring at me like I'd just put a real gun in front of him, at which point I begin to think ohhhh, I fucked up. He slowly raises his eyebrows and says "make a will save" and at this point I'm like. Oh fuck.

Luckily I roll really high on my will save (in 3.5, this is a separate stat from wisdom, but is basically just a wisdom saving throw) but. The thing is. With sentient blades of a particularly high level, they can... locomote.

The thing, failing to take over Seamus' mind, GROWS FUCKING LEGS and takes off, evading all attempts to capture it. It attempts to kill Seamus, and fails, then jumps out the window and into the streets. We can hear shouting, and when we get out there, several people are dead. Eyes smoking in their skulls, shrunken, shriveled. Dead dead. We lose it in the street and the oneshot ends with the DM saying "we may need to do a campaign to resolve this issue".

The campaign we played because of this one event was thereby called Seamus' Mistakes

Part of the plot in the campaign is that several people are trying to acquire a legendary weapon called the Godslayer (named such because it can slay gods, obviously) and my dm told me the stats last night and I'm genuinely a little bit scared now.

You only need to roll a 10 or higher to succeed a hit, and it doesn't even have to be a killing blow. You just have to touch them with the damn thing and they die. He was giving me the stats last night and I felt a ticking clock start over Sly's head like hmmm how long until one of the party uses it on him....
