Some ppl have shown interest in my lil self indulgent YOI AU (tl;dr if u haven't seen my previous posts: the only difference is that Viktor and Yurio are half siblings -on their mother's side, so that each keeps their respective last name- and the parents aren't around anymore by the time Yurio is 6 so he spends half his off time with Viktor and the other half with Nikolai), so I made more art of it bc it brings me joy 👉👈 And then I felt like writing a lil something to go with the piece bc why not, I very rarely write but when I do it's so much fun. Text under the cut.
-------------------------------------
“I did great, right, Vitya?” the little blonde boy asked excitedly as the silver haired teenager crouched down before him to pull up the zipper of his parka. A brown standard poodle pranced happily around them.
The older boy smiled fondly. “You were amazing, Yurochka.” He squeezed his cheeks and chuckled at the noise of indignation that came in response. “I’m sorry, mama and papa couldn’t come to see you skate today either. But grandpa took a lot of photos and videos to show them.” He adjusted the hat on the kid’s head before standing up. “Now come on, let’s not keep him waiting.”
Little Yuri’s eyes lit up at the sight of Nikolai near the exit and he dashed towards the man, Makkachin trotting after him and Viktor following close behind. The kid talked their ears off during the short walk to the car and during the whole ride, through mouthfuls of the pirozhki his grandfather had brought, proudly boasting about every new thing he could do on the ice now. Seated next to him on the backseat to keep an eye on his greedy dog, Viktor just listened and nodded along, trying and failing not to let his mind drift off.
At only 17, figure skating genius Viktor Nikiforov was under an enormous amount of pressure that had nothing to do with any competition. Even for someone who spent as much time away as he did, it was hard to miss that things had been going not so great at home. He had left in pursuit of his dreams long before Yuri was born, only to come back sporadically and spend short periods with his family before going away again, but he had to be blind not to notice just how starved for attention his younger brother was and just how absent his mother and her new husband were.
For a long time now, Nikolai had been putting in the work of being there emotionally for Yuri since his parents barely had time for him and his brother said hi to him only through video calls more often than not, so the least the latter could do to make up for it was to spend as much time with him as possible during the off season. At least Yuri didn’t seem to resent him, if anything he seemed to admire him more and more, and the teenager had gotten used to having the kid following him around like a duckling when they were together. At only 17, figure skating genius Viktor Nikiforov felt like a surrogate parent.
Suddenly, a finger poked the whorl on Viktor’s hair. “You’re distracted!” Yuri protested.
Viktor hadn’t even noticed that Yuri had taken his seatbelt off and stood up on the seat. “Sorry, sorry. Now please sit back down, that’s dangerous.”
Yuri obeyed but narrowed his eyes as Viktor re-adjusted the seatbelt. “You get distracted a lot. And you often forget things. Are you getting old?”
Viktor gave him a half offended, half amused look. Nikolai snorted a laugh from the driver’s seat. “If Viktor is old where does that leave me? Ha! But do listen to your brother, having to keep my eyes on the road is enough responsibility.”
“Sorry~!” Yuri sang almost innocently. He dug into the paper bag he was holding and took out another bun before resuming his incessant chatter. He talked so fast that Viktor wondered whether he actually needed to breathe. “If you’re getting old does that mean you’ll retire soon? Can you coach me? Will I be just as good as you? Will I be better than you? Will I win a gold medal? Don’t answer, I bet I’ll win a gold medal soon! Just wait and see, I’ll win my own gold medal one day!”
Yuri’s enthusiasm was almost contagious. Viktor ruffled his hair, earning himself another noise of indignation. “Of course you will.”
-------------------------------------
Some notes:
-I mentioned before that I couldn't find any official data on whether Nikolai is Yurio's maternal or paternal grandfather, but for this AU I'll assume the latter, so he and Viktor aren't related. -I almost deleted the whorl poking part, it's such a special thing between only Yuuri and Viktor that I felt like I was defiling something sacred lol. But then I thought that it'd be cute if Viktor's hair just had that effect on people. -At first I worried I had made Yurio too ooc but... he's 5 yrs old here, tbh most kids are the same at that age, just give him some time to develop his characteristic personality. Also I think it'd be both hilarious and tragic if he was a sweet adorable bby who loved his big bro before turning into an edgy teenager who hates everything ☠️

WIP INTRO - The Almighty's Angel
Hey, so I'm taking part in @the-wip-project's 40K in 42 days challenge, and I thought that I should introduce the WIP that I'll be writing during the challenge!
(ignore the fact that I said I'd be doing a different one in the post I reblogged earlier, that's staying a passion project on the side tthat I won't share to tumblr)
THE ALMIGHTY'S ANGEL
Working title, might change it if I can think of a better one
Set in the Five Man Band universe
Kai's POV
Focuses on his tragic backstory and what happens when the life that he left behind before he joined the A.R.A catches up to him
If you've ever read Helll Followed With Us by Andrew Joseph White (which you should !!), that was a big inspiration and this story has a similar vibe to this one
Tags - #the almightys angel, #five man band, #40k in 42 days (for challenge related posts)
Kai Allen has been free of the cult that he was raised in for 10 years, and short of the god he once worshipped occasionally showing up to taunt him, he's managed to put it all behind him. But just when he thinks he's finally escaped, a figure from his past suddenly reappears, searching for answers about what happened to the girl the cult revered as the chosen one, his childhood best friend, a girl apparenntly killed by the A.R.A. - a girl that Kai is far too familiar with. Kai must grapple with his former and current loyalties as he tries to keep his past from his teammates, all while a drama-mongering deity hangs over them all, pulling strings for his own entertainment. Will he overcome his inner conflict, or will it consume him?
Thanks for reading this, I'll be sharing progress updates and snippets as I work through this challenge, hope you enjoy!

I get the criticism of the Hunters of Artemis from a narrative perspective—it sucks that it essentially boots interesting female characters out of the story—but it always baffles me when people viciously hate Artemis for *checks notes* doing damage control.
Like. Thalia explicitly goes with Artemis to avoid the prophecy, and I definitely think that’s the reason Artemis tried so hard to get her to join—hell, you can view the hunters trying to recruit Annabeth as a way to get Thalia to join. And Bianca? You can’t convince me that Artemis didn’t guess there was something up there and react accordingly.
If Percy or Nico were even a little bit girl-adjacent you bet your ass she would be all over them to join. No one actually wants to risk the Great Prophecy happening, and Artemis is doing a hell of a lot more to stop it than anyone else.

@writersmonth Prompt: Day 31 - Fall
Fandom: Teen Wolf | Sterek WC: 1k
AO3
XXXI. Fall | Piles of Leaves
“Eli, please don’t…” Derek started, as soon as he saw the mischief in his son’s eyes when they passed a considerable pile of leaves on their walk through the preserve. He interrupted himself the moment he noticed his husband had already jumped on it, dry leaves flying all around Derek’s feet. He let out a sigh and counted to ten, giving himself a little space to calm himself before facing his husband again. Who was now making a leaf angel while Eli tried to do a belly flop on the leaves, landing half on Stiles instead. Derek was thankful for that, both because it broke his son’s fall before he landed on the ground, and because of the way it had left Stiles slightly gasping for breath. “Having fun, you too?” He asked, gently prying Eli off of Stiles so his husband could get some air, instead of Eli’s bony elbows to his stomach.
“Yeah, it’s Fall, Derek! The best time of the year. Get in here!” Stiles said excitedly, throwing a bunch of leaves at Derek’s face, and taking Eli from his arms to set him on the pile of leaves next to him. “Make an angel with me, munchkin!” Stiles said excitedly, showing Eli how to make an angel on the floor. Derek simply watched as both his husband and son covered themselves in mud and dirt, finally allowing himself to laugh. He could really do without the mess, but he knew what he was getting into the moment he met Stiles.
“I’m okay over here.” Derek said, stepping back to allow Stiles’ long legs to move more freely.
“Oh, come on! You are wolf. Be one with nature and all that.”
“Papa a wolf?” Eli asked, trying his best to get back on his feet, but landing twice on his butt before Stiles could stop laughing enough to help him to his feet.
“Yes, Papa’s a wolf but it’s a secret, honey, remember?” Stiles said, placing a finger against Eli’s lips. Eli nodded hard enough that Derek kneeled next to him to hold his head.
“Secrets are for Pack only, aren’t they, son?” Derek coaxed, and Eli nodded again, but now that Derek’s hand was mostly holding him in place it was a lot less violent.
“Eli!” Stiles called, and the boy immediately turned to him. “On three?” And Derek felt he had missed a full conversation. Until Stiles suddenly yelled three, and both Stiles and Eli grabbed his arms and pulled him until he landed on the leaves with them.
“Don’t you love Fall?” Stiles asked, as Eli grabbed handfuls of leaves from around and used them to try and cover Stiles up, who simply allowed it to happen.
“It’s not specifically Fall I love.” Derek answered with a smile.
“Oh, look at you being all romantic. I’m glad. Eli’s going to need a shower and he’s still terrified of them since that time he saw Malia trying to take one when she fell on the mud puddle and he thought she was a monster. “
“Stiles, you told him she was.”
“She looked like one! I didn’t think he would believe me. Also, she was coming out of the shower, I don’t know why he thinks the monster lives inside the shower.”
“Stiles, again, our son is three years old. He believes everything you tell him.”
“I’ve to teach him critical thinking.” Stiles decided, intertwining his fingers on top of his chest and coming up with different ideas.
“Again, Stiles, he’s three.”
“And he’s ours. He’s smart. And much too trusting. He believes everything Jackson tells him. The other day, he was looking for the Tooth Fairy.” Derek barked a laugh at that.
“You know, I actually think I trust Jackson the most with telling Eli all kinds of things.”
“Yeah, Scott tried to convince him that pizza is made out of broccoli so he could eat the last slice.”
“You did not let our son be fooled out of pizza.” Derek said incredulously, turning to look at his husband, who was now mostly covered in twigs and dirt.
“Of course not.” Stiles snorted, upsetting a few of the leaves on his face, which Eli was quick to replace.
“No move, daddy! No move! I make pile! On daddy’s face!” Eli reproached, grabbing more twigs and placing them on top of his face. “Papa, daddy gone!” Eli laughed, turning around and pretending to look for Stiles.
“I can only hope, son.” Derek answered softly, low enough that only Stiles heard him.
Stiles was still unable to speak, because he was hidden, so he settled for slapping his husband on the face as hard as he could without moving too much. It wasn’t too hard, but it got message across. Derek laughed, catching Stiles’ hand in his and kissing it softly. “I will always find you, my love.”
“You better, you asshole.”
“I found him!” Derek called at Eli, raising Stiles’ hand in his to show his son.
Eli laughed excitedly and jumped on top of Derek.
“You found daddy!”
“He always does, champ. And he’ll always find you, too.” Stiles promised, doing his best to get out of his dead leaves tomb.
“That I will. Now, how about a shower ? Daddy smells like the forest.” Derek proposed, getting to his feet and placing Eli on top of his shoulders, before helping Stiles to his feet.
“And you love it, Sour Wolf. But I do need a shower. I think I have dirt inside my underwear.”
“What’s underbear?” Eli asked, and Stiles decided the best option to answer that question was to explain to Eli how underwear came to be. Eli watched attentively, holding on to Derek’s hair. And Derek just led them both back home, waiting patiently to when Stiles would be done with the story, and Eli would nod and ask an incredibly weird question, and then ask the original question once again, this time for Derek to answer in a way Eli would understand. And he wouldn’t have it any other way.

🛡 valnori!!!! go wild with it
🛡 Hurt protecting someone they love
"Absolutely ridiculous!"
Val sat sprawled across an armchair in the living room while Coach Falkner paced the floor muttering.
"There's no way she won't win. It's rigged!"
On the couch next to the chair, Cara lay with her head in Eli's lap. Neither of them looked particularly worried, but Val knew they all felt it.
Tomorrow their dance crew were going to compete in the regional talent show, and they had a good chance of winning. At least, they had had a good chance of winning until it was announced that one of the other contestants was Norina, a young singer whose career was just taking off.
"She doesn't need this. She's already famous! And the prize money will mean nothing to her! Not like it would for us."
Val poked Cara with her foot. They were all exhausted after today's rehearsal, and Val wanted to go to bed. Coach could go on for hours if no one stopped him, but Val did not want to be the one to do it. Cara gave her a look, and the two had a short but fierce conversation solely through their eyebrows.
Defeated, Val sighed. "So, what are we going to do about it? We can't exactly stop her from competing, so what, do we drop out? Or do we go for second place?"
It would suck to only get second, but they had worked for this for so long, dropping out would be even worse.
Coach Falkner stopped talking and narrowed his eyes at her, and Val braced for getting chewed out.
"That," he said, "is exactly what we'll do."
Wait... what?
"We're... going for second?"
"We're going to stop her from competing," Coach Falkner said. "Since you volunteered, Val, you will find her tomorrow before the show and convince her."
"Wait, no-" Val protested, straightening up. There was no way that was going to work, she was a dancer, not a talker!
"Now that's settled, off to bed with you." Coach made a shooing motion towards them. "Cara, stay for a minute, I need a word."
*
Sneaking into Norina's dressing room was easier than Val had thought it would be. She had imagined sneaking past guards, or picking locks, but when she got there, she could just walk straight in.
The fact that Norina got a dressing room all to herself was ridiculous. The rest of them had to make do with sharing the general backstage area, working around each other while warming up, but apparently that wasn't good enough for the little celebrity. No, she had to have her own mirrors, and her own clothing rack, and her own snack table. Val snatched a bag of chips and sat down in the makeup chair to wait for Norina to come to the room.
She finished the chips before anyone came, and then walked a round of the room, stroking her fingers over the ridiculous costume Norina had brought. Norina was known for her opulent outfits, shiny long dresses that covered the stage and hair that was probably in fashion hundreds of years ago. The dress she had brought today was blue and green and had a kind of crunchy sheen to it.
Maybe Val had come too early. She had been early on purpose, since she hadn't wanted people to be here already, but this waiting was incredibly frustrating. She just needed a minute alone with Norina so she could tell her to drop out, and then she could go back to her crew.
She dragged the makeup chair over to the snack table and resigned herself to wait until someone came. Coach Falkner was going to be pissed if she didn't succeed in her mission, and while she had her doubts about how possible it was, she had to at least try.
The door opened half-way through her third tiny bag of chips.
Val had seen pictures and a few film clips of Norina on stage, done up in her costumes and makeup, but right now, she was wearing her hair in rollers and had barely any makeup on. She had a cup from Val's favorite milkshake place, which she dropped in the trash can the moment the door closed behind her.
"Hey!"
Norina startled as her eyes flew to Val.
"Who are you?"
"Did you just throw out a full milkshake? Those are expensive!"
"Did you touch anything?" Norina ran to the costume rack and ran her hands down the dress, probably looking for some kind of sabotage she wouldn't find, because Val was using more honest tactics than that. "No one should be in this room!"
Val rolled her eyes. "Calm down, princess, I didn't mess with your stuff. Seriously, though, why would you buy a milkshake just to throw it out? Was it for a picture? Did they sponsor you?" Val got up and picked the milkshake out of the trash to see if it could be salvaged. Cara would laugh at her for eating out of the trash, but come on. It was from Rainbow House!
"It was a gift," Norina said, grimacing as she watched Val. "It's very sweet of them, but I can't have dairy before a performance."
Val gave the milkshake a lick and frowned. It was almost bitter. "What flavor is this?"
"Chocolate, I assumed."
"That's boring. You should try their butter-rum milkshake, it's way better than this."
"I ... okay? Who are you, again?"
"I'm Val." Val stood and did a turn, letting Norina see the back of her sweatshirt. "I'm on The Kestrel Crew. We were gonna win this show, until you showed up."
"Okay ..." Norina said, looking unsure. "What are you doing here? No one were supposed to be in here."
"They should lock the doors if they didn't want people to come in," Val shrugged, and put her hands in her pockets, pretending not to be as awkward as she felt. "Anyway, I'm here to tell you to drop out of the show. It's not fair that you show up with your fame and your money and steal the show."
"That's not fair," Norina said. "I have just as much right to be here as anyone else."
"Do you, though? You don't even live here. You have a record deal and modeling jobs. I saw you in a hair dye ad on TV. People know who you are, and when you win, it won't be because you're good, it'll be because you're famous."
Val had expected Norina to be angry, or at least arrogant enough to not care, but instead, she looked almost hurt.
"I think you should leave," she said. "I need to do my makeup. Good luck on your performance."
"Yeah, whatever. We both know who will win," Val muttered and left.
*
The talent show had started, and Val was backstage, stretching as she waited for it to be their turn. On the other side of the room, Norina looked like a peacock in her shiny green and blue costume.
Coach Falkner had been surprisingly unbothered when Val told him she failed to get Norina to drop out, and Val wasn't sure if that was because he realized she had no chance to begin with, or because he was saving his fury for later. Probably the latter.
Cara dropped down next to Val and started working on her side splits, as if they weren't already perfect.
"Show-off," Val whispered.
Cara laughed and bent her foot up behind her head.
"I can't believe she's still here," Cara whispered, glancing over at Norina. "She must be feeling terrible about now."
Val looked over to where Norina looked just fine. Nervous, maybe? Or guilty, as she should. But Val hadn't been that mean. "Why would she?"
"I gave her a milkshake on the way in," Cara explained. "Pretended to be a fan fawning over her. It was full of laxatives, and they should be kicking in at any moment now."
So that was why the milkshake had tasted funny. Val was feeling pretty miffed about not being let in on the plan. "I thought I was supposed to make her drop out."
Cara rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right, because we all thought that was gonna work. You were the distraction. We had to do something that would actually work."
"Well, she didn't drink it, so I guess we both failed."
"What do you mean she didn't drink it?" Cara actually looked kind of shocked.
"She doesn't drink dairy before she's gonna sing. Maybe she's lactose intolerant."
"Shit."
Cara got up to talk to Coach, and okay, yeah, that was the fury Val had expected. He wasn't shouting, not with so many people around, but Val could feel it radiating off him all the way to where she was sitting.
"What did he say?" Val asked when Cara returned, looking much less confident than she had been just a minute before.
Cara shrugged. "Something about a plan B?"
"What's plan B?"
"I don't know. I thought this was plan B."
When it was Norina's turn to perform, Val went to watch from the side of the stage. A hush went over the room as the lights adjusted, making Norina's dress sparkle like the ocean at night, and she began so sing.
"Tanto tempo fa, un uccello fatale di nome Chromaggia."
She was just standing there at the front of the stage, and yet everyone in the audience was paying attention. Even backstage, a lot of the performers had come to listen. It wasn't the style of music Val would choose to listen to, but even she could admit, Norina's voice was impressive.
"Incrociò in volo la freccia di un arciere lungo le coste di lava."
"Crap." Cara came up beside Val. "She's good."
"Yeah."
"I was hoping she wouldn't sound like that live. There's no way she won't win."
"Yeah."
"Coach will be pissed."
"Yeah." Val turned to see what Coach Falkner thought of Norina's performance, but couldn't find him right away. Looking around, she found him by the rigging system, doing something Val couldn't see. She frowned, and gasped when she realized. Coach Falkner was loosening one of the ropes. Val followed the rope with her eyes. It led to the lighting rig right above Norina's head.
The lights moved, and Val had no time to think. She ran out on stage and pushed Norina to the ground, landing on top of her. A second later, she heard the rig fall to the ground.
There were screams, gasps, people rushing to the stage. Val paid them no mind. She grabbed Norina's thighs through her dress and followed her legs down to her feet.
"Oh, good," she said, feeling weirdly light-headed. "You're okay."
"Val, you--" Norina's voice was shaky, her eyes wide with shock. "Your legs--"
Val frowned in confusion, and turned to see what Norina was staring at.
"Oh, shit." Both her feet were trapped under the rig, and there was blood. She hadn't felt it right away, too worried about Norina, but now, the pain crashed over her in one big wave. Like seasickness. She turned back and planted her face against Norina's stomach. "I don't feel good," she said, and passed out.
*
When Val was eight, she started taking dance lessons at Coach Falkner's studio, along with a few other kids at the orphanage she lived at. It was clear from the start that she had talent, but her attendance was spotty, since the orphanage workers didn't see it as a high priority to get her there on time. When she was ten, Coach took things into his own hands, and became her foster parent, and later, her adoptive dad.
He was her coach first, and her dad last, but still, he had been the only adult in her life that had really cared about her in some way. So when the cops showed up at the hospital to ask about what had happened, she hadn't known what to say. She lied and said she couldn't remember.
What would happen now? No one had visited Val in the hospital--at least not while she was awake--so she didn't know what was going on with the crew. Was Coach mad at her? How mad would he be? Would he let her come home when she was discharged from the hospital?
She had one broken ankle that had needed surgery, and a hairline fracture in the other. She wouldn't be able to walk for weeks, let alone dance. Even if Coach wasn't pissed about Val ruining his murder attempt, she would still be useless as a dancer. And honestly, even if she had been perfectly fine, would she want to go back, knowing what Coach was capable of? Did this change things? It wasn't like she had believed he was a good man, but ... murder was at another level.
She watched bad daytime TV while her mind ran in circles without getting anywhere. It didn't take long before she started to feel like she was going a little insane. Bad enough that no one was visiting her, but couldn't they at least have dropped off her phone?
A couple days in, she was finally, finally distracted from her thoughts by a knock on the door.
"Yes?" she said when the person waited for a reply. Maybe it was Cara? Probably not Coach, Coach wouldn't knock.
With a huge bouquet of flowers in her hands, Norina came into the room. No fancy costume this time, just her hair in braids and the kind of makeup that didn't look like makeup but probably was makeup.
"Hi," Norina said. She glanced around the empty room. With no flowers or cards or anything, it was clear she was the first to visit. "I wanted to thank you. You saved my life."
"Oh, um. I wasn't really thinking," Val said, feeling awkward. After all, she was on Coach's crew. Even if she hadn't known what he was going to do, she still felt weird being thanked. "I mean--not that I regret it. I just ... I didn't know he was going to do that."
Norina put the flowers on the bedside table and sat in the chair next to the bed. "It still doesn't feel real," she said. "I just ... I don't understand. Why would he do something like that?"
Val sighed. "I knew he was going to be mad when I couldn't make you drop out. But not like this."
"This was all to win the competition?" Norina's voice was small.
"Not even that." Val frowned. "Wait, we didn't win, right? What happened after I passed out?"
"No one won," Norina said. "They cancelled the rest of the show and called the police."
"Yeah. So if he did it to win, it was a shit plan."
"I suppose it was." Norina chewed on her lower lip. "I'm sorry you got hurt."
"Oh, this?" Val shrugged with a grin. "Barely a scratch."
"No, it isn't. You're a dancer. Getting hurt could mean the end of your career." Norina reached into the flower bouquet and took out a card that she handed to Val. "My parents want to thank you for what you did too. If you need anything, if there's anything we can do to help, give us a call."
Val opened the card to find a generic get well message and a phone number. "Anything?"
Norina gave her a suspicious look. "Within reason, but yes. Anything related to your recovery and to getting your career back on track."
That was incredibly generous. Val wasn't sure she trusted it. She pouted. "So no lifetime supply of milkshakes from Rainbow House?"
"Is that really what you want?"
"I told you, their butter-rum is really good."
Norina rolled her eyes and pulled the card from Val's hands, wrote something down, and gave it back. "Text me when you're out of the hospital, and I'll buy you a milkshake."
"Will you have one too?"
"We'll make it a day I'm not performing."

hey Eli, me again 😁♥️
i wanna know about #2 on your wip list pls? i'm gonna regret it probably but hit me BABY ONE MORE TIME with the angst anyway!
Hi Kit and thank u for dropping by! 💙 First time I read this ask I had completely forgotten abt the WIP game (and no I didn't catch the "on your wip list" part, I can't read) and for a second I thought u were asking abt number 2 on my list of five songs I like to listen to and I was so confused as to what was so angsty abt Arabic Dance Mix music cxfcgfghf 😭
ANYWAY, number 2 is a Viktuuri one-shot that fuck knows when I'll finish I've been thinking about for a while now. And, well, best to rip the bandaid off now: it's a post-canon fic set shortly after Makkachin has inevitably died of old age (I'M SORRY Y'ALL, it will probably be the only time ever I mention Makka dying bc I just can't bear to think abt it, I just really need to release this one idea into the world :')). The wound is still fresh and Yuuri helps Viktor put up a shrine in their apartment in Russia to honor the dog, like the one he has back in Japan for Vicchan. It's full of feels, sweet memories and bonding over mutual grief and sharing your culture with your partner. Tbh I haven't written a lot of it yet but here's the only two lines I like enough to keep:
Viktor choked back a sob. "I only hope he knew how loved he was."
Yuuri hugged him even tighter. "Oh, Vitya, I have no doubt that he did."
----------
Thank u for asking!

Last Lines Tag
Tagged (ages ago, sorry!) by @oh-no-another-idea, thank you!
Here are the last few lines I've written for The Almighty's Angel!
Flawed logic, but you can see how he got there. "What are you on about- who is she?" "The best person to ever walk this accursed planet, and you killed her!" He pushes his foot down on my wing and I wince in pain. "Oh, you know what, I do remember her... yes, Starchaser, that is familiar," I say, looking him dead in the eyes, "She was the one who looked at me with those pathetic eyes as she begged for her life before I threw her off a fucking cliff." I emphasise each of those final words, wanting to drill it into his thick, oh-so-loyal skull that the girl he knew is dead.

(for the hcs post) eli sunday 10 and 14 please and thank you🙏🙏🙏
10 | How they deal with pain.
Biblically, pain and suffering breed perseverance, character, and strength. So, whether than pain be physical or emotional, I can imagine Eli viewing it as a test and trying to meet it with that stiff upper lip. A lot of time, this results in him bottling everything up and then unloading it all at once in whatever direction he ends up in. Everyone believes that Father Eli Sunday is bringing forth the evil, demonic spirits and casting them away. But, in reality, with every devil that Eli casts away, he's only casting away his own rage, repression, and pain. With this kind of purge, he can choose to believe he is glorifying his God and proving his goodness and selflessness.
14 | How they did in school.
In modern terms, Eli gives me the vibe that he'd totally be a "devil's advocate" kind of kid. However, in the time period, if Eli did go to school I think that would manifest in him thinking he knows better than the teacher. After all, his daddy is a preacher and he's armed with the word of God. And none of that rotten book learning can outshine the good Lord's word. I see him being quiet and unassuming, but internally, he is buzzing with judgements. The teacher? Stupid. His peers? Fools. He'll regurgitate whatever answers he needs to in order to get good grades but internally, he scoffs at all of it.

Eli Sunday would wear this.
He absolutely fucking would omg imagine. Daniel doesn't rip it off of him because he likes the lingerie too much for that but he'll stain it with plenty of Eli's blood during sex which makes both of them like it more.
