idk if this will piss people off or not but in my honest opinion there is textual canon evidence for all three of the ships people are warring over:
Elucien - Obviously there's the mating bond and several moments where Sarah could easily be setting up a slow burn romance
Eleriel - Azriel is canonically DOWN BAD and they had a very mutual high-tension moment and all that, very much in the text whether you think it's a good pairing or not
Gwynriel - Also very much in the text! Him giving her the necklace and being all happy thinking about her smiling? His shadows dancing? Both of them liking music? Yes Gwyn hasn't had as much on-page time but there's canon text that is clearly hinting at romance.
That's THE POINT. Sarah is TRYING to make the future a little hazy, to keep us guessing and make Elain and Azriel's stories more interesting. That's her job as a writer!
I just keep seeing posts from all sides talking about how only THEIR ship has truly canon textual foreshadowing and I hate to break it to y'all but all of these ships have canon textual foreshadowing! Let everyone have their ships, they're ALL valid (even the non canon ones, that's just a separate point lol).

Lucien request please
Reader is mated to az but knows he likes Elaine so backs off (same for luc w elain) and they start to vent to each other but eventually becoming good friends and realise that it doesn’t matter what ‘fate’ says and they can choose to love each other
(This isn’t pro or anti eleriel or elucien (and I’d prefer if az/Elaine aren’t painted to be bad people) I just really like the idea of fate/free will…. and have a crush of Lucien)
Thanks 😊
MY LOVE THANK YOU FOR THIS IDEA I FINALLY WROTE IT ILL BE POSTING IT TONIGHTTTT <3333
ill link it here hehe <3

Well. Crap.
This is giving me ideas for the half-baked crack-infused Gabriel Thorne x Elena Bobrov ship that’s been kicking around my head for weeks.
While working something out for this fic I just found out Spartan Ops ends on Valentine's Day.
Happy Valentine's Day, Tom and Chyler?
Annnnnd now I have to make mention of this in the story.

Let’s Talk, Azriel is a Sub.
SJM has said Azriel is going to be kinky. I cannot believe that everyone assumes Azriel would be the dom.
People who are dominant in their regular lives don't wanna be dominant in the bedroom.
It is his job to torture, spy on, and control people.
I believe 100% that Azriel wants to be tied down, at least sometimes.
More, I believe doing so would make Gwyn more comfortable with sex and able to actually relax enough to get off.
Even if you ship Elerial, I still think he’d be sub at least sometimes.
It just makes sense to me.

Honestly I really do try to keep tumblr a positive space for all characters but when certain folks go above and beyond to be ignorant of what really happened in the book, well it annoys me.
The following Eleriel post was made by this user. At first my response was a simple reply, for some reason I never saw it again. I reblogged and responded but I don’t trust that the message wont go through. I accept and love all characters but when you blatantly disregard what happens for the sake of your ship and are hypocritical at the same time well then that wont fly either.
This is the post I’m talking about (written by the user @dearestelain followed by my response)

I forgot to add that Azriel running away from Gwyn in the training ring was absolutely hilarious to read when in reality this is what happened
She said she didn't mind sharing the ring but knew that he liked to be alone (knowing him already). Azriel noticed his shadows peering at her. She then asked Azriel if he was called a Shadowsinger because he sang, which he confirmed with a chuckle (how does this indicate him being uncomfortable lol) He then instructed her on how to handle the dagger until she corrected her form. She thanked Azriel smiling broadly and Azriel sketched a bow and felt something restless settling in him (she makes him feel settled but somehow you read that as uncomfortable). After he left he heard a faint beautiful singing following him and swore his shadows sang in answer.
So yeah, dont ignore canon when you claim to defend it love. It’s hypocritical in nature.

What’s the point of blocking a blog just because they don’t have content you like especially if you already don’t follow them? Just not following them would make sense right? What if they like your blog but suck at creating content 😅 Last question on this and thanks for answering! Tumblrs that don’t create much content aren’t always blocked by people on here I’ve been here for many years it must just be an ACOTAR fandom thing to block so casually
Yeah, I mean, I have no idea why someone would, but like I said, i was blocked by some big Gwynriel accounts before I made any posts and just liked some Eleriel content. Apparently it was enough for them.
But yeah, there are a ton of blogs with little or no content and most dont get blocked.
Some people in this fandom do block based on the name--like if you are GwynrielLover or Elriel4Lyfe you might get blocked. So if the name is like, FeylainStan, then those who hate Feyre and Elain might block you automatically.

Family, Found
Characters: Elrond & Thranduil, Elrond & Gil-Galad  Rating: G Summary: “It is an honor, Prince Thranduil.”Thranduil’s eyes sparkle, eyes as blue as the morning sky during summer, a friendly smile makes its way to his handsome face. “The honor is mine, Elrond Peredhel. I will admit that I have been most eager to meet you.” Words: 1836 Notes: Written as an idea from @eccentricmya regarding Eluréd & Elurín being Oropher & Amdír. Oh boy. I have been absent from this series for a VERY long while, on my defense, I had some serious writers block. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish it now if I write it out of order. I thought of making it a second chapter, but I decided that I would write that second part as another standalone. I have a reason for that, I want to give this and the coming one their own spotlight. Also, I'm going with Gil-Galad, son of Fingon for this series. Names:  Eärmir - Sea Jewel / Elhîl - Star Heir / Eleriel - Star Daughter / Celebmeril - Silver Rose
Read @ AO3
Elrond stares at the tall blond. He has a portly look, he’s elegant and beautiful. Almost like any other elf. Except. Except that something inside of him calls him in, there is a certain aura about the Prince of the Greenwood that almost feels familiar. Which is strange. He bows, “It is an honor, Prince Thranduil.”
Thranduil’s eyes sparkle, eyes as blue as the morning sky during summer, a friendly smile makes its way to his handsome face. “The honor is mine, Elrond Peredhel. I will admit that I have been most eager to meet you.”
He blinks. That was not something he would have had expected. “I am honored, Prince Thranduil. I look forward getting to know you also.”
The smile that Thranduil send his is a dazzling one. “We should speak at some point, I am most eager to meet King Gil-Galad’s herald and minstrel.”
“It would be my honor.”
It is then, that an amused Ereinion intervenes as he begins leading them into the castle, and he is thankful, because after everything he has heard about King Oropher, his son seems to have swung in the opposite direction. And he is not sure if he should be worried about the fact that Prince Thranduil wants to know him, or intrigued. “I am sure Elrond would be delighted to host you, Prince Thranduil.”
He side eyes Ereinion, but he will not openly speak against the king he serves, and much less against his cousin. “The King speaks true,” is all he says.
Prince Thranduil bows, “Then, I am looking forward to that.” Then, he turns to Ereinion, “You have my thanks, Majesty for your hospitality.”
Ereinion smiles, “We are glad to have you here, Prince Thranduil.” They stop in the room that has been designated for the Prince. “We shall leave you to your rest. I shall sent some light food, and worry not about anything, I will be happy to provide should you need anything.”
“I thank you, Majesty. I think I would appreciate the meal, and perhaps a bath.” The Prince, turns to him again. “You also have my thanks, Lord Elrond.”
“I am happy to serve, Prince Thranduil.” He answers.
They part then, and he and Ereinion walk silently back to the King’s office. Once there, Ereinion asks, “And what do you make of the Prince?”
He frowns a bit, thinking fast. “He seems friendly,” he speaks at last. “And very much unlike to what I have heard of King Oropher, at least, of Oropher’s dislike for the Noldor.”
Ereinion hums in agreement. “Yes, I truly cannot sense any ill temper on the Prince, nor he seems to be hiding the disdain his father has for me, and the rest of our family save Galadriel. A curious thing, but a happy event, really.”
He knows that Ereinion is right. Maedhros had taught him that diplomacy worked best when your opponent did not hated your guts. Disagreement with you, that was one thing, but outright hate? That would make things near impossible. And so, he finds himself glad that Prince Thranduil does not seem to hate Ereinion and the noldorin blood that flows through his blood. “I agree, let us see how things go from today on.”
Ereinion nods, lays a gentle hand on his shoulder, “The Prince is curious about you, and he is bold enough to say so, and while I do not foresee trouble nor ill intent, promise me that you will talk to me should he hurt you in some way.”
He is touched, Ereinion had taken his role as elder cousin seriously. To the point of becoming an elder, well loved brother. “I shall, Ereinion.”
“That is all I ask.”
***
It takes Prince Thranduil three days to ask, “Lord Elrond, I was wondering if I we could speak. Privately and somewhere with no prying eyes or ears.”
That request makes the hairs on the back of his neck stand on edge. He seeks the Prince’s eyes, and he finds them calm, solemn and clear. There is no ill intent in them, he nods slowly, “There is a spot I quite like near a cliff, would that work?”
“It would indeed.”
“Very well, should we bring some food?”
The Prince hesitates, “Perhaps that would be best, a bottle of wine. I have the feeling we both will need them.”
“Come with me, then Prince Thranduil.”
He leads and they make their way to the kitchen, he requests a basket of finger foods and a bottle of wine from the head cook, once they have procured their meal, he leads the Prince to that spot he likes so much. They are alone, both of them staring into the sea and offers a goblet of wine and some cheese to the Prince, who accepts them with a smile. He looks at the Prince from the corner of his eyes, the Prince seems to be struggling with something. He is about to ask what is this about, when the Prince beats him.
“I must beg your forgiveness, Lord Elrond,” Prince Thranduil says. “But the secret I must share with you, is one that you might find it unbelievable and may even think me mad, but I promise you, that every word that I will speak is true.”
That sends a chill down his spine, he takes a sip of wine. “I will hear you, Prince Thranduil.”
The Prince turns and looks at him in the eye and then says. “You and I are family.”
He blinks, that is something that he could not have expected. But…
The Prince takes a deep breath, a long sip of wine and continues. “My father’s name is not the one he was given at birth. His name, is Eluréd.”
The goblet slips out of his hand, and for a moment, his brain supplies a small thanks in the fact that is made of silver, and not glass. He stares at Prince Thranduil, he is sure his face must reveal both the surprise and disbelief he feels.
“I know that what I speak sounds like madness, but I promise you, there is an explanation.” The Prince looks away. “It is true that the servants of Celegorm left my father and uncle in the woods, but someone came. If he had been guided by the Valar, we shall never know, but my father and uncle were found before they could pass away.”
“Who…?” His voice trembles.
It is then that the Prince places his goblet down, reaches inside a pocket and pulls two small objects. Two rings, and offers them to him with a shaky hand. Then, he speaks so quietly, he nearly strains to hear it. “Maedhros.”
The rings in his hand are light. One is a small, a child’s ring, Elu Thingol’s winged moon emblem. The other, is far larger, and the emblem is one he knows very, very well. It is Maedhros’ personal emblem. His vision blurs and his voice trembles when he speaks, “How…? When…?”
“My father said that Maedhros found him and our uncle in the forest, brought them back to Doriath – where the surviving Noldor host were camping – and tended to them there with the help of Maglor. He knew he could not keep them, so he took them to a small tribe of green elves he knew. There, he entrusted their care to Nellas, once of Doriath. He made sure my father and uncle kept treasures of Doriath, gifted them some of his own, treasures we still have. He visited as often as he could, until the tribe moved and they lost contact.”
There are tears streaming down his cheeks. Family. His mother had wondered what had happened to her brothers, and now, he knew. And while he was still dealing with the loss of Elros, here he was, finding that he had more family that what he knew. “What of Elurín? Where is he?”
“In Lorien and you have heard of him. He is Amdír.”
He closes both his eyes and the hand that holds the rings, not so long after, Thranduil’s hand covers his, “You are not alone, cousin. You have uncles, and three cousins. No matter what happens, you are not alone.”
“Tell me, please, tell me about your family?”
“Well, as you might have guessed, my father is not very fond of the Noldor, save the Lady Galadriel. There is a grudging respect there that he will deny, but it is there.” Thranduil, his cousin, laughs. “My mother is a nice to Círdan, Eärmir, she is quite lovely and I’m sure she’ll love you. Thranduil is the name she gave me, the name my father gave me is Elhîl, one that only family uses. One that you are welcome to use in private should you wish to. My sister, Celebmeril – that was my mother’s name. Eleriel is our father’s. But of course, we all call each other el in private.”
There is a knot in his throat, Oropher – Eluréd seems to have kept the star theme names in his family. But before he can speak, Thranduil continues.
“In my father’s eyes, the only acceptable Nolodorin was Maedhros. That is not counting King Finrod, of course.” Thranduil snorts, “I don’t know what that says about my father. Anyway. My father is quite stern, but truly means well with our people. He cares about them, about their well-being and takes his duties as King very, very seriously. He cares about you, and no, he does not think less of you for choosing to serve Gil-Galad. My sister wanted to come, she is a singer, and much like our mother, a fantastic cook. She wanted to meet you, to sing a song or two with you.
“Uncle Elurín has a fantastic sense of humor and he is more open to the Noldorin than my own father is. Of course, he’s the one to admitted the secret to Celeborn. Apparently, Celeborn recognized some of grandmother’s face in our uncle. Galadriel has been sword to secret, even though she could not believe that Maedhros got one up on her when it came to our family, Brí knows, and has been sworn to secrecy, she and my sister write each other often. So, when you have the time, take sometime to visit our uncle, he’ll love that.”
He somehow manages to regain his composure, “Thank you for telling, cousin,” he says and the word sounds so… right. He has family, a family from his mother. One that he no longer has to wonder what happened to. No matter what comes next, he will not be alone. And he knows that thanks to the soft look his cousin is giving him. “I would love to see the Greenwood.”
If possible, his cousin’s face softens even more. “We would love to have you there, if only for a visit.”
He takes his cousin’s hand in his, and there is a deep part of him that feels soothed and safe.
