They want to develop the elephant rocks and put out more stupid parking and roads down. If you care about this stuff share your opinion.

Personally I'm all for upgrading the walk ways to be more accessible but I am not okay with destroying the environment around it to install large parking lots so large trucks?? can fit?? We don't need a EV charger there either?? Everyone who has went wants any improvements to be as minimally invasive as possible.

Improving the trails and making them more accessible for everyone? Great?

Everything else? Excuse to put in more asphalt and concrete in my opinion

Alps to Ocean Trail - Kurow to Tokarahi

My penultimate day cycling the A2O Trail was the first without any lakes, but there were plenty of unusual rock formations and history on the 44km ride to Tokarahi. Starting with Kurow Museum, documenting an impressively eventful small town with range of exhibits including a display on its most famous resident, All Black legend Richie McCaw. Jacqueline and Marc came to visit over the weekend and we had a great time snowshoeing and playing board games 🌟.

We went to Chester Lake and Elephant Rocks on Saturday and the trail is always a good one no matter the season. My watch registered 3:10 moving time, 9.28km, and 935m elevation gain. The trail was fairly packed most of the way, but there was some opportunity to re-break the trail near the top which was fun. Jacqueline and Marc were really kind and even brought up sparkling fruit juice to celebrate Rob's first snowshoe experience 😂.

Patrick and Pete throughout the years
