i want to see Fox have the most chaotic ass relationship with some feral investigative journalists. and it somehow turns into a fix it fic. like this somehow leads to Palpatine getting taken down. how funny would that be.

like. journalists are fucking insane man (i mean this as a compliment), and insane in a way I think fanon Fox would 100% get along with. Like, what Palpatine didn't realize when creating a clone army to kill the jedi, is those clones might be very enthusiastic whistleblowers.

Fox stresses out the journalists by how much he's willing to divulge despite the potential consequences (or, yk, actual consequences cause it's palps), and the journalists stress out Fox bc they're catching up to Padme in number of assassination attempts. meanwhile--

Thorn: how many hours of sleep did you get last night

Journalist: i got like 30 minutes at my desk

Fox: omg twinsies

Thorn: nO

Theory/possible AU on Kai in the neverspace

What if either Nya, Wyldfyre (those two were visibly the most/only ones affected by Kais dissapearing) and the others, or even Kai and Bonzle themselve somehow do manage to open a new gate. So Kai and Bonzle manage to get back to the back merged worlds.

But just like back in s11 with the never realm it turns out that time passes faster there, compared to the merged worlds. So for everyone else a few weeks or months passed when they finally manage to open a portal, but for Kai it's been YEARS. (Preferably at least 10 in my opinion.) The emotional drama would be perfect. Especially cause y'know, Kai isn't a nindroid like Zane and doesn't have any memory loss. The effects of that on him would be really interesting to see.

Though you know. I don't really think they're gonna pull that of. The reason that Zane usually gets hit with the heaviest violence, has so many deaths and so on is cause he's a nindroid and it's a kids show at the end of the day. They can "fix" a nindroid/robot more easily. If Zane loses an arm, he can just put it back on or get a new one without a problem, if a human/biological humanoid loses an arm in the show it's gone. They can get a prosthetic maybe, but their arm is gone, they have trauma and physical pain from it.

So yeah, my theory isn't that likely cause Kai might be the emotinal but not physical punching bag of the writers. It's very unlikely that they would significantly age up just one of the og characters and not the others. I can still dream and we have the world of fanfiction on our side. (Ideas for an AU name please for the case I get more ideas)

Just stewing in my Mirror World headcanons, don’t mind me. I imagine DMK’s not the best when it comes to displaying kindness or affection, but he tries his best, dangit, and Shadow Kirby can have at least one edgelord dad. As a treat.

Also soft shading this time because I’m eternally indecisive when it comes to rendering, yay.

Why?” Rhysand’s voice was hoarse. “Because you were breaking. And I couldn’t find another way to save you.” ~ “I saw the Night Court.” He glanced sidelong at me. “I didn’t send those images to you.”

When Rhysand sends music into her cell to stop her from breaking, not only does he save her, but it makes her see the place where she belongs. The place where her mate belongs. He didn't send her those images, but her soul did. The soul which is connected to him. So she subconsciously saw her found family and a life with her mate. In the same scene where they talk about music, we get more confirmation on them being mates.

acosf - ch. 58:

“What is it?” “Touch the top. Just a tap.” Throwing a puzzled glance at him, she did so. Music exploded into the room. Nesta leaped back, a hand at her chest as he laughed. But—music was playing from the silver orb. ~ Those golden threads between their very souls shone with the words, as if they formed a harp strummed by a heavenly hand. For it was music between their souls. Always had been. And his voice was her favorite melody.

Nessian bond is much more connected to music than Feysand. It's mostly because of Nesta's love for music and dancing. So in the same scene when Cassian gifts Nesta the orb, their mating bond also snaps for them. "For it was music between their souls." just like Feysand. Which was the reason Feyre saw those images from NC/Velaris.

acosf - Azriel's bonus chapter:

She angled her head, hair shining like molten metal. "Do you sing?” He blinked. It wasn't every day that people took him by surprise, but…"Why do you ask?" "They call you shadowsinger. Is it because you sing?" “I am a shadowsinger--it's not a title that someone just made.” She shrugged again, irreverently. Az narrowed his eyes, studying her. "Do you, though?" she pressed. "Sing?" Azriel couldn't help his soft chuckle. "Yes." ~ Azriel entered the warmth of the stairwell, and as he descended, he could have sworn a faint, beautiful singing followed him. Could have sworn his shadows sang in answer.

Gwynriel is going to have even more connection to music since both of them sing. Again Sarah used the same mating bond language she uses for her mated couples. Just like Feysand and Nessian, the exact scene when they talk about music or hear it, there's a mention of their connection between their soul aka mating bond...

feeling physically ill over batman reborn dick grayson and his obligation to damian. like their early relationship is built on circumstance and responsibility, not any inherent love or affection. they’re ultimately close bond is honestly more of a byproduct than a specific concerted effort.

(was looking through stuff from this era and what do u know he explicitly says it). the roles of Batman and Robin chafe against them both, the costumes literally and metaphorically do not fit. dick is trying his hardest to prevent gotham from ripping itself apart at the seams right now and the added pressure of custody over a murderous ten year old is not fucking helping. so the evolution of their relationship just gets me, going from this

to this

dick (and damian but in a different direction, bleeds the need to be accepted etc etc) are so desperately trying to maintain a fire through damp kindling. they have no idea what they’re doing as a duo and it shows. but I think that’s what makes the evolution of their relationship so interesting here. dick still extends a degree of patience towards damian despite everything, he affirms him when he can and damian begrudgingly develops a respect for him. damian’s robin was developed in loss and uncertainty, not only did he have to navigate unlearning the toxic values instilled in him from his childhood abuse, he also had to navigate losing a father he was just barely getting to know. even if he wasn’t perfect, dick earnestly tried with him, he didn’t just write him off as unredeemable demon spawn or a nuisance.

damian is initially just another obligation from bruce, a consequence of inheriting his legacy. but eventually he brute forces his way into his heart, just a little. the small glimpses of damian’s innate humanity and kindness that weren’t stamped out of him during his insane childhood become more apparent and the sheer amount of effort he exerts in being ‘normal’ and just himself beyond the bloodshed is painfully obvious. (he straight up comes out and says it).

damian is far from a diamond in the rough, more like bort, but dick is willing to work with that. even if it makes him want to tear his hair out initially, he can’t just throw the kid to the curb or ignore him. he doesn’t give up on him, not because he even necessarily believes in the kid but because he can’t give up. and eventually he warms up to him. he develops that sort of brotherly, almost paternal relationship with him. they never had to do more than tolerate each other really, and yet they did.
