Absolutely losing my mind over Scar’s stream today
He was already talking to Etho while catching ocelots
Joel logs in and Scar immediately asks if Etho wants to go visit him
We get so many Etho lore crumbs (although he doesn’t fully confirm anything except having stubble and trying to get rid of 2 extra house generators)
They hang out for like 2 hours doing nothing hut chatting
Eventually Scar leaves but forgot that he left his ocelots at Etho’s because he was so excited about boat boys that he never brought them home

BECAUSE YOU DEMANDED IT, I'm back with more Sad Boat Books for Sad Boat People! But first, some words.
I never dreamed that a silly little graphic I made for some friends would generate this much response on twitter and here, but I'm overjoyed that it resonated with so many of you! I read every single comment and tag, and by far my favorites are all of the people who say some variation of "I thought I was the only one who loved these books." We are NOT alone, there are literally thousands of people who reblogged or retweeted this list-- people of all ages and backgrounds and gender identities. Sad Boat isn't just for old white men! I was also delighted to hear from other librarians who are using this in displays and for reader's advisory. PLEASE go forth and do so with my blessing, nothing would make me happier! I was recently laid off from my librarian job as part of a restructuring under new management (don't worry about me, it sucks right now but I'm gonna be fine), so I would love to think that I'm still contributing to the library ecosystem while I'm out of commission. I would also love to keep making these lists (including one that deals with Sad Boat fiction and one with recommendations for other types of media), and I've never had more time to do it, so if you have suggestions, please drop them in my inbox!
Anyway, enough of that-- here are more books! I've either read all of these, or the recommendation came from someone I trust, so read with confidence!

thinking a lot about ekky organising a fishing trip (the sturgeon tagging trip if you will) for some of the boys back in like february-ish* and with the knowledge that ekky has taken forsy out deepsea fishing this season do you know what its like going oh so he took him lakefishing in BC...oh okay
Tumblr media
and also we got this shot of ekky manning a rod while forsy stands behind him like thats not- okay
#the sturgeon tagging trip haunts me in ways you dont understand#like oh so its ekky forsy and benny on one boat while mikksy monty and bobby are on the other?#like oh youve orchestrated this so youd be on boat stranded with the gems youre madly in love with#smooth ekky real smooth#taking your husband on a lake fishing trip to appease him and smooth over your deepsea superiority campaign...yeah#LIKE I THINK A LOT ABOUT BENNY EKKY AND FORSY ON THE SAME BOAT????#the m²bobby boat is just mikksy peacefully fishing while monty is fighting for his life trying to reel up a sturgeon#and bobby just stands there looking pretty#meanwhile ekky is trying his damndest to not act like a 12 year old boy while being stranded on a boat with 2 hot bitches he cannot handle#i also very much think about how the playersonly cast was teasing forsy if ekky asks him to reel up fish for him since hes so strong#and he was like no he doesnt he has an electric rigger :(#so you can imagine how happy forsy is at the prospect to being put to work during the sturgeon trip (reeling in big fish for ekky)#i could write so much prose of the homoeroticism of leaning over a mans shoulder#to pin him between your body and the rod. grunting in his ear all the while as you help him reel in a big one.#theres a lot here and im not nearly enough of a scholar to put it all to words#yeah i think forsblad flirt through fishing. dont you?#*also february-ish because the timeline here is murky because it the earliest this was posted about was feb 17#and on that day they were playing against the bolts on the road. and before that they were playing against the pens and sabres.#and theres like that stretch at home before that. and byeweek. and yeah. februaryish i suppose

So during Rebooted, we know that all of Ninjago's power came from the electrical farms.
But after the ninja took it down temporarily during Season 3, the inhabitants may have moved some of the power harnessing elsewhere to avoid a situation like that again (while also not relying on technology as much as during Season 3 to avoid another situation with the Overlord rising like that occurring again)
(And it is reasonable to assume that if they hadn't prior, after the Merge and the world got much bigger (and some places seemed to have gone missing), they did, as many buildings in the Crossroads have multiple windmills and barrels on them, probably to harness power and store water)

Spark the Electric Jester is the weirdest series for me to have developed a hyperfixation on but I guess it's because all the concepts it's putting forward nail my interests right on the nose even if its execution of said concepts is lacking. There are 3 female characters 1 is a one off miniboss 1 is dead and 1 is the main villian and all 3 are somehow less developed than their male counterparts.
BUT THE POTENTIAL....

PCU Iowa (SSN-797) entering the water for the first time, while in drydock at the General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut.
"Another milestone reached for PCU lowa!
Following her roll out from General Dynamics Electric Boat's assembly building in Groton, CT, on August 11, PCU lowa made her way to Graving Dock 3, which was filled with water to result in yet another major milestone-float off.
These recent milestones could only be achieved thanks to the enormous effort and teamwork demonstrated by Electric Boat shipbuilders. Thank you all for what you do to provide the U.S. Navy with these incredible machines in defense of our nation."
