Some Elecmon lol

In Aurora's setting, they're a very common sight in the Digital World, though are known to prefer to live in warmer climates, subtropical or even tropical zones.

Relatively small, stocky mammals ( the size of a medium dog ) with broad heads, large mouths and eyes, their round bodies vaguely resemble those of wombats or Tasmanian devils. The fur is trick, short and soft, a bit iridescent and slightly longer on the top of the head and back. The most common colors are various shades of reds, oranges, blues and whites, but there are variations, depending on area of habitat. The blue markings have different patterns. The tail is their most prominent feature, similar to that of a porcupine, though made up out of not quills but very long, thick, coarse bristly hairs. Elecmon fan their tails out when threatened, frightened, angry, or sometimes excited. It is also their weapon, as they discharge electricity primarily from them.

Their front paws have four short digits and small (almost)opposable thumbs, allowing them to use tools with some limitations.

They're generally known to be curious, lively and welcoming to strangers ( as long as you're not there to cause them harm or take anything from them, they'll turn quite territorial and very fast then ), though won't say no to a prank or two now and then.

Elecmon have also been observed to use their electricity to fish and hunt.

Even weaker discharges are enough to kill an adult human instantly, but there have so far been no known cases of that happening. Elecmon mostly cause damage to human technology, mostly unintentionally, if they find themselves in the real world.

Another scene that I remember from Digimon World was me Fishing like a Maniac because I saw the big shadow in the Dragon Eye Lake. You can't imagine how much time I spent doing that! And when I finally got to see Seadramon! Man the memories!

This day 25 years ago, episode 12 of Digimon Adventure aired and Takeru discovered the Village of Beginnings/Primary Village. I honestly remember this episode being one of the first few episodes I caught on TV and while it was so goofy (Sumo-Tug-o-war Patamon and Elecmon), I was still curious what was going on in this show to come back week after week.

Also, I snuck in a small easter egg for Frontier fans. :)

I thoroughly enjoyed working on this piece, as Primary Village has such an adorable aesthetic. Hopefully I'll get some timelapses of the pieces, since I've been using this project as coloring practice. Below the cut is the non-scanline piece. I've been doing the scanline effect for a bit of nostalgia since the show predates LCD/Plasma screens so it should feel like getting up to watch Saturday Morning cartoons.

back in 2021, I wanted to do a series of digimon pride art (with the idea of making them stickers, though looking back I don’t quite think the resolution was high enough). all the digimon chosen were due to their color schemes, btw! tried to pick ones that fit the flag.

I never actually finished all the ones I wanted to do, hence I never posted them. i do think that’s a bit of a shame, so I’ll post the ones I did get done. I was super close to finishing, only having the other rainbow flag, 2 more mlm flags, and the 3 pan flags left.

perhaps I will revisit this eventually, but if I do I’ll probably have to start from scratch for art consistency, since my style has changed a bit since then!

if you’re wondering - gammamon was gonna be the third rainbow flag, and the other mlm flag digimon would have been morphomon and ghostmon

feel free to use these as icons or something with credit, though not sure how well they work as them!

Curiously, while Roachmon is listed as Bo-23 in every list and image I can find online, my Roachmon card is numbered CP-17. Similarly, Elecmon is supposed to be Bo-61 but mine is CP-33 I'm not sure why this is - I cannot find any information on it.
