I was reading about Azir and MC who either given up or not playing his games. With Azir being controlling, I thought about something. What if there is something that Azir can't control, like death? Because what if he made one scenario with MC who has given up that causes them great harm or worse death. Either MC is still young and doing shit, or maybe they are old that inevitability of death is near.

Stress is sometimes good, but too much is bad and may cause some.... Unfortunate accident. :)

Oh Azir, how I missed playing with you just like how you miss playing with your darling-

I think he never really bothered with getting humans back from the dead, especially since they just tend to be born again. They always go back to Earth, of course, so he never bothered searching for specific people to put back in his little games.

But an essential character like you can't be easily replaced and you have too much potential to be forgotten by the universe like that- So, he would absolutely violate your natural born right to have a peaceful eternal rest.

What? It's not unheard of for entities to simply revive their favorites, although his brethren aren't really allowed to do that, he simply wishes to continue the plot you were previously following.

Which one? Well, all of them. All of them in their right times. Think of it as resetting a game and starting all over, but the mechanics slightly shift through every playthrough.

You're the same you as you always will be, maybe with a different appearance, a different mentality molded by the variety of environments and backgrounds he can put you on- Oh, but you're just his favorite actor in each of them! How is he NOT expected to bring your soul back regardless of the trials and errors?

The first time you died was the only time he slightly felt, well, worried? It wasn't exactly guilt nor grief, but it was something like a sense of emptiness especially if it was his fault… Making you overly stressed, be it at a young reckless age or at your last moments standing- He probably wouldn't feel your loss in the same way mortals do.

His favorite toy broke, his game feels incomplete without it, and although reanimating your body was quite easy… hm… pretending to be you was fun at first but it lacked the spark of something natural and random.

He liked to be in control of everything, yes, sometimes watching but most of the time finding ways to implement himself in the lives of others- He didn't want to pretend to be you forever though, nor did he like the idea of using your inactive body as a skin puppet, the flesh was a fun but not so intriguing part of the mortal experience.

He needed to find your soul, wherever it was. Searching the different realms for it was easy, and quite boring actually, but getting you to come back was something else.

He wasn't really allowed here. None of his kind was, they were powerful and followed no "rules" but had some limitations when it came to the simple task of bringing someone back from the dead. It's not like they couldn't do it, it's that they shouldn't.

Would he really taint the afterlife forever and snatch you away just to keep himself entertained for longer? Yeah, yeah he would.

In the mix of different voices, a colorful sea of different souls collectively sleeping and awaiting their return, one of them screamed while being forcefully dragged back to their already rotting corpse.

Ah dear… A rotting corpse isn't suited for souls to stay in, although you looked adorable as a living-dead variant of yourself, you didn't seem to be cooperating with the vision he originally had in mind.

His first experiment to bring you back was a failure, as your body was no longer suited for a soul- But with just a few adjustments he got to bring you back with your same appearance and memories intact! Your body was healthy again, aren't you glad to be back?

… Ugh… Why can't you stop complaining to him about your death? People die all the time, shouldn't you be glad he brought you back from that boring afterlife?

Sleeping peacefully for eternity sounds absolutely tedious, he can't imagine why anyone would consider it a good choice to spend their time.

Considering no normal person would feel good about being brought back to life by their killer (directly or not) especially knowing this person has the power to keep you bound to them forever, it is understandable that you would be quite pissed about it.

So maybe keeping your memories wasn't a good idea, but he knew a quick way to fix it.

As long as you belong to his simulations, living inside them you're not going to go anywhere else, dead or alive… He "could" try to take a piece of the afterlife and shove it in a snowglobe, but truly, that's something that he doesn't have any control over.

It was too tricky to try to trap it there, whenever he would come back the globe would be empty. It doesn't matter what arcane dark magic he uses, he can't ever keep that "terrain" fixated in one location.

But, he could maybe make his own..? Oh, wouldn't that be lovely? Instead of having to constantly take you back by force, he can just make a self-sufficient system of afterlife and reincarnation, he could make it so there was no other choice than to keep the cycle going as much as he could!

Or he could make something special for you for once, how would you like a smaller snow globe just for you? Every fantasy your heart desired could be real if you just behave a little more.

Ah but there was also one small thing he didn't really consider… So, remember how he isn't welcome in the afterlife? Yeah, he is also not "allowed" to take a soul and force it back to the realm of the living, especially not a soul that is screaming and begging to be left alone already.

Someone is responsible to keep these souls intact, perhaps there are multiples like this entity- But only he came to fix the job.

Think of it this way, you have a being that is almost like a guardian angel, with a grim reaper mentality that keeps chasing your soul to bring you back to the afterlife (the correct version of it). And on the other hand you have Azir, a being that keeps bringing you back and who although "lacks authority" over your little "angel", won't ever back down about doing what he wants whenever he wants.

And then there's you, being brought back for a certain period of time, perhaps decades in your lifetime before having to die again and again by a safekeeper of souls. One wants to play with you like a toy and the other sees you as some sort of sheep that got lost from the herd.

If there's Hell, I would bet you it's more pleasant than this existence. Hah, wouldn't it be hilarious if you got them both to fall for you? Hah, as if that would happen.

I like to imagine your little "guardian angel" and Azir have to be passive aggressive when interacting- As any small fight could lead to a war between realms and let's be honest, the ones getting the short end of the stick here would be you and all of the mortals of every other planet and realm.

Everyone is fucked except the ones that can withstand the existence after existence itself has imploded, and no one really wants to see the age of nothingness and darkness return, life as fragile as it is, brings light to those that don't understand it's real value- But miss it dearly when it's gone.

What I mean is that congratulations, I'm giving you another mythical boyfriend who will try to restore order to your peaceful afterlife while the other one keeps bringing you back out of spite at this point.

It's not just about you, it's also because he is well aware that shiny looking asshole is probably spending time with you in that calm, "wonderful" place that only hosts exclusively mortal souls.

Well… But now that I think about it, technically this whole process of reincarnation is technically working inside the laws of the universe. You are born, you live, you die, you get sent to the other side and then get reborn again. It is also sort of very beneficial for both parties despite their mutual hatred towards one another.

You really need to find a cosmic lawyer or something like that though, this work practice is really unethical since you're very much aware of why and who keeps you inside this vicious cycle, it's hard to live a life you're constantly getting reminded of your previous one.

shaking your hand in 'the dream visitor is a haunting', so how WOULD majexatli feel waking up to see dream visitor althyran for the first time?

I think there’s so much racing through their head. Like, on the one hand they’re terrified, suddenly once again facing the man who took so much from them and who they ran away from decades ago. As much as they believe everything that happens is their fault and don't reflect on the way Althyran was manipulating them and had so much power over them, they also can’t deny that it was Althyran that very publicly blamed them for what happened to them which led to their loss of status in the circle. And losing the circle meant losing literally the only home they ever had and the only family they ever had.

So there’s that but also, seeing him after all this time suddenly throws into perspective the way their relationship wasn’t health or balanced. Because Majexatli has spent at least 2 decades now away from him and becoming their own independent person, and when they see him and instantly fall back into the way they were when they were a teen they can see how different it is. When they first was involved with Althyran, they had never had so much as a friend, let alone a partner, they had no frame of reference for what was healthy or normal back then, they had no idea that things could be different, they had no idea that things could be better, but now they do and can see just the world of difference between how they are now and who they were with Althyran.

On the other hand, though, the dream visitor first appears when Majexatli’s about to transform, when they’re feverish and nauseated and weak and he shows up to help them and. Isn’t that what Majexatli wanted? Those decades ago, when they were weak and barely hanging on after their attack? Majexatli had tried to reach out for Althyran’s hand, both when they were in the cave before the attack and when they were on a cot in the infirmary after it. But Althyran wasn’t there, he pulled away, abandoned them, ridiculed them. All Majexatli wanted was to be comforted by him, to be loved by him.

The Dream Visitor coming to save them, to help them, that’s what they always wanted from Althyran. How can they resist that? Even though they have the knowledge now to realize how what was between them wasn’t healthy and in fact was incredibly abusive and exploitative, even though they can’t help being afraid, they’ve never been able to resist Althyran as much as they hate that, and they can’t deny how much they’ve wanted him to take care of them. One of their biggest things they grapple with, is they still cling to the dreams they once had of marrying Althyran and having a family, and the fact that they cling to the belief that if they had been better or if they hadn’t been so scarred by the attack that maybe Althyran would have actually loved them.

They know it isn’t a dream, because their dreams aren’t kind, the dreams with Althyran almost never are. But it doesn’t cross their mind that it might be an ilithid trick until the next day when they hear their companions mention the dream figure and what it said to them.

I do think the next morning, they stay on their bedroll and the others go off to work on the quests. And they just lay there, awake, just unable to grapple with it all and not wanting to let the others see them like that.

Been reworking some old side character OCs and focusing on their story.

Enda is the High Priestess and Holy Wife to the God of Night and Storms (specifically of safe passage), Ezoriti.

But before their temples rise in popularity, he was only worshipped by a small community/cult and Enda was a problem in said community and was swiftly offered as a human sacrifice in hopes they would have a bigger blessing (first time trying it, they were just hoping to get rid of her). At this time, Ezoriti's reputation and what kind of God people thought he was got madddd warped, which was a big reason he was falling into obscurity, and if God's aren't worshipped, they cannot be.

Well he wasn't exactly thrilled they had started resorting to human sacrifices. Like - he gets he can be scary but really???? Went against big boy's teachings and moral

Blah blah blah they talked and flirted and what not and Enda instead wed and bred him. Very fun morning after when the priests found her very much not dead and now outranking them. Either fired or got rid of most of the priests, tsking over as High Priestess

Anyways Ezoriti and her fall in love, boost his temple in popularity and live happily ever after (except for the brief moment in the main story where she shows up in and gets possessed for a hot minute by Eldritch gods but it's fine).

the forgotten gods au! an ultrakill au! basically: everything goes to shit™ this post will be an introduction to the characters, with sketches and plot coming soon ^^ this au contains alot of ocs! mine will be marked with blue!, and my friend's with green! canon characters will be marked as red!

V1. The beast. God of death. Aliased as the Angel of Death. Viewing what it shouldn't have viewed drove it insane. It tore itself apart and rebuilt itself from scratch. It is eldritch, and it is ancient. Ichor flows through it, ichor and rage fuel it. It is angry. Physical description: much larger, 4 arms and large wings with distorted legs. Optic cracked, sharp claws, metal stained with blood. Monsterous.

Gabriel. The prince of heaven. Took on God's role. After God's disappearance, and the council's corruption, he slayed the council long before damage could be done, and took on the role of God himself as his right hand. An eldritch transformation, and he's far different than he once was. He and the beast are at eternal conflict. Physical description: 4 arms, 6 wings. Much larger than he was long ago, heavy armor to combat the death angel.

V2. The supreme machine. Goddess of war and peace. Her death was tragic, but a force beyond anyone reached her. Rebuilt her. From her rebirth came a goddess, one to keep the balance. She lives in eternal debt of that outside force- that fellow goddess, much to insistence otherwise. Physical description: 6 arms and large wings. Now sports actual clothes, a long white dress with a crown of golden leaves. Two heads, one dark red and one light red. Both respond to V2.

Mirage. The false. Goddess of the afterlife and dreams. She was the one to bring the goddess of war and peace into existence. To be brought down at the hands of insanity was not her fate, so she brought the machine back. She nows harbors v2 in her domain. Safety. Physical description: 4 arms, 3 long tails. A long white dress with what could be described as a halo, formed from clouds.

V0. the angel killer the divine machine. With heavens slow death, it was driven to insanity, murdering angel after angel, using their flesh to fuel it. In the dawn of the final sun rise, it came to. Everything it had done was just a bad dream, it was divine. It is one of few "angels" that remain in hell. It avoids the angels in heavens, knowing they fear it. It's happy to act as hells gaurdian. Physical description: large, black metal and a bright yellow optic, cracked with the years. Large wings capable of flight, a mixture of an angel's and a machine's. A halo, blood red.

Lucifer. Princess of hell. Ruler of the underworld. After her banishment long ago, she became much stronger when she fell, fighting her way to the top of its hierarchy. Her falling was not without consequence. She is aware of what happened to her brother. She knows of the machine. She knows of the war. She would rather not be involved. Physical description: pitch black skin, large rams horns. Red and grey wings, no longer capable of flight. Heavy armor protecting furr, hooves where hands and feet would be.

Esther, the angel of peace. She allowed the death of the council, and now works on keeping heaven safe from the beast. She is apart of the new council, a group of archangels under Gabriel's command, to not repeat the mistakes of old. Physical description: black skin and hair, adorned with gold markings. Large golden wings, a halo that covers her face. Minos, the moon, lust's king. Sisyphus, the sun, self proclaimed ruler of husks. both survived much longer, but were stuck down by the beast. doesnt change much from canon. Prophet, the fortune seer and the queen of lust. the remaining member of lust's royalty, and minos's wife. took on a prime form in order to keep the remainder of lust's residence safe, she resembles the very earth itself. she is still mostly blind. physical description: greens and blues, marbled, with lights reflecting the earth's, clouds to guide her way. V3, the painter. a later model of the V line, made to control crowds, but took on painting. he was struck down quickly, and brutally. V4, the victim. a cowardly machine, the last V model. much like the model before them, the beast struck them down. V0-M, the terminal. the storage keeper of all of the V models' memories. keeps a close eye on them. in a state of disrepear due to the beast, but alive. physical description: a large, deep red color, lacks familiar wings in favor of extra arms. Hades, Ex king of Hell, God of Death. a cocky man, overthrown by lucifer long ago, but not at all salty about it. hes since taken on a prime form in the case of the beast making its way into layer 9. lives with his "wife". (lavender marriage!) physical description: pitch black skin that asorbs all light, akin to a black hole. markings to represent the event horizon, 3 eyes. Persephone, Ex queen of Hell, goddess of life. a quiet woman who'd rather spend time in solitude if she can. akin to her husband, she took on a prime form incase the beast reaches hell. good friends with hades all things considerd. Physical description: a blindingly pale form akin to heaven itself, representive of a white hole. erm those are the main ones for rn... hehee

I also think because Chiori and Chevreuse are so successful as the “breadwinners” of your house, you can be a housewife just fine. Someone needs to do the cooking and cleaning, and since Chiori and Chevreuse are exhausted by the end of each day from work, it’s up to you to make sure the house is ready.

Chevreuse probably comes home first and greets you with a kiss, then an hour later Chiori comes home so the three of you can have dinner. They’re greeted to a clean home, hot food, a beautiful wife, and even a massage for both of them if you’re feeling generous 🤭

Omg,,, thank u for the ask, I’ll take this as an opportunity to introduce all of my fellas since i have multiple saves/ocs for fallout 4. Right now they’re all in separate aus but I wanna connect them, I just haven’t decided who I want to be the sosu yet, if i even want one at all.

Starting with Ranger, my newest character. He’s the charismatic leader of the Minutemen. He likes making light of every situation, but he knows when to take things seriously. He just puts on a laidback attitude so he appears less intimidating. He’s trying very hard to make the commonwealth safer, but he has some doubts and insecurities about his position, which he bottles up and keeps to himself. He wants to be the person that everyone can rely on and look up to, even if that means putting his own problems aside to appear put-together and strong. He’s the one I draw Edward Deegan with, and I wanna do more with the two of them since I love me some eldritch horror vibes. I imagine Ranger and Edward go on relic hunts for Jack Cabot after their questline, getting into hijinks and fun spooky, horrifyingly traumatic adventures. Maybe kissing along the way. Who knows.

Knight on the other hand, is an anxious, paranoid little glorbo; and I say this while he stands at like 6’4”, he’s BIG, the tallest of all of my guys. He’s got severe PTSD and he really doesn’t like living in the apocalypse. He had a wife! They were in a queer platonic relationship; they got married for the benefits but they’re both gay. He’s devastated after losing her, since she was his best friend. He has a very hard time adjusting to the new commonwealth, he barely scrapes by, has to force himself to function because everything reminds him of war and suffering. He eventually stumbles into Goodneighbor, gets hooked on chems to distract himself from bad memories, meets Hancock one bad night and ends up getting drunk/rambling to the poor ghoul. They end up hitting it off despite the ridiculous introduction. Hancock manages to ground Knight, gives him a purpose again; helping good people, and hurting bad people. Knight travels the commonwealth doing odd jobs, trying to do what he can, even joins up with the Railroad to help out the Synths. Just trying to make up for all the time he’d lost, doing what he thinks would’ve made his best friend proud.

Now for Paladin. Yes, he is named Paladin, and yes, he WAS Paladin Paladin before being promoted to Sentinel. It’s probably obvious by now that I have a Dnd/medieval theme for my character’s names. Anyway, Paladin here is— of course— a part of the Brotherhood of Steel. I made him to be a big dickhead because I don’t play mean characters in video games enough. Unlike my other sosus he’s actually thriving in the apocalypse. Before being frozen he was very dissatisfied/disconnected with the ordinary life he was trying to live, he felt like a husk of himself and he couldn’t understand why. After waking up and being met with a destroyed world, his soldier mentality immediately kicked in again. He adapted fast, and when he learns about the Brotherhood and its US military-esc operations he quickly latches onto it. It’s familiar to him, and he excels at his duties. He rises through the ranks quickly, earning his place as Sentinel and developing a massive ego along the way. The Brotherhood makes him feel powerful, and that sort of becomes an addiction of sorts. He just wants more and more power, he wants to be respected; and if not respected, feared.

This is Monty, aka Montague. He’s a prewar ghoul living in the Canadian territories, or Little America as it’s referred to in the Fallout universe. He was a proud mountie back before Canada was annexed, kept his uniform in a locked safe for years. When the bombs fell and he was ghoulified, he pulled it out and dedicated himself to helping those who get lost in the nuclear winter. I’m still learning things about Fallout lore so idk how Canada is depicted after the bombs in canon, but the idea I had is that Monty lives in a massive, snowy wasteland which he’s learned to navigate with a lot of hard work and dedication. He earns caps by guiding people through the tundra, since few know how to avoid all the dangers it poses.

Silly Game Time: Who are the protagonists of two stories you really enjoy? (could be from any media: movies, shows, novels, games, comics, etc.) (yes, OCs count) AND which of them would win in a game of ping-pong?

In part 1 : Been to France twice, talked to literal madmen and understood them, got into a fight with the Minotaur and didn’t run away, been to London, walked USA from coast to coast on foot and didn’t complain once, got into fights with buffed Lancelot, Gawain and Tristan, talked to a goddess, fought that goddess, and lived to tell the tale, earned the respect of Gilgamesh, fought against Tiamat and won, earned the respect of a guy named First Hassan (Grand Assassin) twice and punched a guy who burned all of 3000 of history in the face after said guy killed Ritsuka’s kouhai.

In part 1.5 : Trusted Moriarty with their life, trusted Christopher Columbus with their life, fought against seven immortals and lived (not the one who won) and kept their (alleged) sanity after fighting an Eldritch God.

In part 2 : Survived a place very cold where only demonic beasts could live, survived Ragnarok on steroids, gave up an antidote for the sake of their boss, fought a guy who fused with most of the Indian Pantheon and lived, fought the Greek Gods and gave up everything they had four times in total.

In Lostbelt 6 : Stood against Morgan La Fae, Cernunnos and Vortigern (he tried to destroy the world). Also, if you summon Morgan La Fae like I have, she becomes Ritsuka’s wife.

Lucifer’s staff at the palace is an old family line of Imps and Hellhounds and Incubui/ sucubi, it’s 5 family lines of each species that have been serving the Morningstars since they first established Hell.

They were first the family lines to bend the knee and pledge their undying loyalty and service to the king and queen , they live on sight on the palace grounds and rarely venture into hell accept for meetings /guarding the king/ supplies purchases .

They used to do Tax collection but that’s been all but digitized modernized now.

The families all have amazing health benefits and actually get stellar education opportunities and vacation time ( that’s rarely used mainly cause Lucifer is so self isolating he’s not doing much ) .

It balances out the fact that working with the Morningstars can be a bit hazardous without them meaning to, imps get thrown into eldritch shadows that is his wife when she was pissed ,

Hellhounds found themselves trapped under the claws of a pissed off dragon .

Sometimes spells didn’t go right — the castle would get moody and eat the staff .

SO! Awhile ago I sent an ask about how I shoved your OCs into a Café AU and with the latest few post you've been putting up, the AU has expanded.

Dragonfly is the tired barista inherited the Dragonfly Café and its trade secrets from her now retired abroad father, they talk through facetime. She also goes to college where she dorms with Michelle, Fabi and Taylor. She also over charges or short changes rude customers.

Clay is the café cleaner who fills in as a barista when Dragonfly has classes. Dragonfly let's him live in the flat above the café for free since she's already paid for her dorm room and never leaves the café premise other than to take the trash out.

Hayday is the annoying customer who always seems to order complex drinks at inconvenient times, tries making small talk with Dragonfly when she's clearly busy and never tips, the only reason why he's not banned is because Dragonfly can't really afford to ban anyone. He's several part time jobs and sometimes moonlights as a coffee boy for Ant Queen, the local sleazy motels owner, and eventualy Snake Eyes. He totally didn't develop a crush on Dragonfly after she gave him a free cup of coffee and slice of carrot cake after seeing him nearly collapse at the counter on a slow day. He dropped out of college to take care of his mum when she fell ill, is in both medical and educational debt.

Snake Eyes is a sleazy businessman whose been trying to buy the café out ever since Dragonflys father first built it and is now trying to either buy out the property from Dragonfly fairly or bankrupt it until she's forced to sell. He wants to demolish the building and the surrounding area to build something like a mall or apartment complex.

Nighthawk runs a crêpe stand outside of the café and tries to, unsuccessfully, poach customers. He swore revenge on the Dragonfly Café since he blame it for the cause of his parents diner going out of business.

Damselfly is the part time barista that Dragonfly hired to help Clay while she's in class after finding out that he was struggling. She hardly helps Clay in favour of being on her phone and is actually wealthy influencer online but doesn't tell anyone offline so they give her praise for being a 'struggling student working hard to pay off her loans'. She regularly post pictures of Dragonflys and Clays fancy coffee art designs and claims them as her own and keeps tips she receives instead of putting them in the shared tip jar.

Lovebug is the repeat customer who brings a new girl he catfished to the café atleast twice a month. He eventually develops a crush on Dragonfly because she comped his bill after a particular bad date which he believed meant she was into him, he also gets annoyed that she isn't dating him despite never asking her out and rarely talking to her outside of ordering drinks.

The Ice Cream Man is exactly the same as in canon, eldritch 'Wife' and all, no one knows what his deal is but he comes around on the 13th of every month no matter the weather, there could be a Magnitude 10 earthquake, a Category 9 tornado and a literal biblical downpour going on at the same time and he'll still be happily walking down the street with his 'Wife'. Everyone stays out of his way, once Nighthawk begrudgingly spent a day hiding in the Dragonfly Café just because he forgot what the date was when he set up his crêpe stand.

Drosera is the florist who owns the flower shop on the opposite side of the street to the café. She doesn't eat people since she isn't a plant but she'll do anything to ensure her shop stays afloat and is welling to go to some serious extremes in a calm methodical manner to do so.

Detective Victor is a small time detective whose spends his down time trying to slowly untangle the mystery of why businesses in the area around the Dragonfly Café keeps failing. He regularly comes to the café on his lunch breaks and is a good tipper.

Reporter Louise is a small time reporter for the local news agency who once had a bad experience in the café and took it personally. She takes every opportunity to rag on the small café and the only reason why she doesn't get reprimanded for it is because the her personal vendetta with the café is the most amusing thing her news agency has published in years.
