Palestinian freedom fighters breaking out of Gaza and reclaiming their occupied territories. They’ve taken over israeli tanks and have chased out the settlers that were on that land. They’ve launched rockets everywhere and the iron dome has failed to intercept. This is about to mark a momentous event in history.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.

With the completion of the encirclement of Khan Yunis, a story from the 4th division:
Deep in Khan Yunis, the brigade entered one of the buildings with bullets in the barrels. The whole building was empty but to their astonishment they found an elderly couple in one of the apartments.
A POW interrogator was called to dub them in Arabic and ask what the heck they are still doing there. They told him that everyone ran away to find a protected place however their family and neighbors abandoned them to die helpless and alone.
After a long time, the IDF in an operation involving not less than 30 soldiers managed to feed them (in the photo) and hand them over to the Red Cross so that they could move them to a protected area.
So much for a little story about the morality of the residents of Gaza towards their people.

If it uses the exact same typing style as a bot. . . and other types of bot messages ground to a halt when it so conveniently popped up. . . . . . and it gets spammed to blogs en masse no matter what kind of content they post or how many followers they have. . . . . . . . .
Then it might just be a bot.

Whats so gross about white liberals and zionists justifying the genocide of Palestinians with "Well theyd kill queer people in Palestine!" Which isn't true anyway, but they say it with such glee and smugness at the idea of lgbtq people dying and being murdered in x West Asian country that they'd support a genocide against it. Why does that make you happy? Why is that hilarious to you that you'd use it as a snide "comeback" against other lgbt ppl who support Palestine?
How does Isntreal bombing Palestine help the Queer people there exactly? How is Isr*el murdering lgbtq Palestinians more justifiable and "progressive" than if Palestine was apparently doing it?

DGA Statement on the Terrorist Attacks on Israel
October 11, 2023
Los Angeles – The Directors Guild of America released the following statement regarding the terrorist attacks on Israel.
“The DGA unequivocally condemns terrorism and joins the many voices in our community decrying the recent Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel and violence against innocent civilians. We stand against the growing spread of antisemitism here in the US and abroad, and remain committed in our actions, words and deeds to supporting the Jewish people.”
This is a clear, helpful, relevant statement of care.
Love and light to the DGA and to all who co-sign these sentiments.

prev reblog about the hypocrisy in the difference in coverage between Ukraine and the most recent atrocities in Palestine is so fucking true. it boils my blood how most people in my classes were in support or could easily be pushed to be in support of Ukraine and how [relatively] easy it was to tear down russian talking points- yet i hear zionist talking points so often.
i had a guy sit down next to me last week and talk about how hes upset at the decrease in support for Ukraine- i haven't heard him say anything about Palestine since a month or two ago i screamed in his face for repeating Zionist talking points about 'self defense' and refusing to listen to me and have empathy for the Palestinian people.
repeating some quotes the same Guardian article used to make its point that are very true of the mindset i see people holding:
“It’s very emotional for me because I see European people with blue eyes and blond hair … being killed every day.”
“Now the unthinkable has happened to them. And this is not a developing, third world nation. This is Europe!”
“They seem so like us. That is what makes it so shocking. Ukraine is a European country. Its people watch Netflix and have Instagram accounts, vote in free elections and read uncensored newspapers. War is no longer something visited upon impoverished and remote populations.”
these people only cared about Ukraine because it hit to close to home, ruined the idea that they were safe from war. these people are not speaking up about Palestine. these people make me sick.

Are you in Israel side?
I'm on the side of the innocent civilians that are caught in the fire caused by both of their fucked up governments, Hamas and Israel's governments
One is a terrorist group and the others have done a pretty shitty job.

If you follow me and in any way, shape, or form think the Israeli civilians killed and kidnapped on 07Oct (including children! including old people! including goddamn peace activists working for Palestinian liberation longer than some of us have been alive!) *deserved* what happened by virtue of being Israeli? Do me a favor and unfollow me. This is me showing you the door, please see yourself out, I do not want to have a conversation with you about this. (See tags for caveat.) Because killing of non-combatants is never okay.
It literally does not matter which "side" you are on here. To be clear, I do not agree with being on any "side", this isn't a fucking sports match. These are real people being straight up murdered. Palestinian and Israeli. Both for having the misfortune to be born the wrong country or the wrong religion. That will always be wrong. Hamas is wrong. The Israeli government is wrong. Because killing civilians is always wrong. That's it. That's the takeaway. You don't get to say "Palestinians have a right to self-defense" as a justification for 07Oct. Self-defense does not extend to civilian targets. To non-combatants. To CHILDREN.
And to be quite clear, I will not accept "Israel has a right to self-defense" as a justification for the killing of Palestinian civilians but I'm largely not seeing that from Jewish leftists, including Israelis and including Zionists. I'm largely seeing them call for a ceasefire and for peace and condemn the Israeli government and its actions.
But I *am* seeing fellow western leftists, particularly non-Jews, defend Hamas and the 07Oct attacks in their desire to stand with Palestine. You have to stop doing that. Hamas are not the good guys, you can read their damn charter documents online. You can read analyses of them by experts - Hamas is a religious extremist group intent on imposing jihadist control over the entire region and eliminating all Jews. It's not something they've been secretive about. They routinely kidnap, torture, and kill PALESTINIAN peace activists who they learn have met with Israeli peace activists or in any way worked towards a 2 state solution. They use global aid donated to Gaza for themselves while letting their citizens suffer. Their most prominent leaders don't even live within Gaza, aren't even at severe risk. These are all things you can verify easily and readily just by doing some basic research anywhere that isn't Twitter, tumblr, or Al Jazerra.
So if you want to justify killing civilians? If you want to support a terrorist organization? If you are going to unilaterally condemn all Israelis for the crime of being citizens of a country whose government you disagree with? Please see yourself out. And when you do, please keep in mind that I am a nonzionist telling you to kindly consider availing yourself of the sea. I do not support Israel and I work with actual Palestinian liberation organizations when I can. I've been doing so for the better part of the past 5 years. I attend a synagogue that is actively involved in Palestinian liberation as well as the first nonzionist havurah in the US. I'm not exactly new to this.
But I am also a Jew. I do not support Israel, the government of the nation state, largely because I do not support the concept of nation states as a whole. I find the system inherently violent. But I *do* support, Israel, the people. I am a Jew by Choice. I have chosen to throw my lot in with Israel and her people. They are MY people. If you gleefully call for my people to be slaughtered, I want nothing to do with you.

Due to me being a depressed bean, I did not do enough physio therapy, because I can't leave the house well. So, I'm kind of still limping around, having back pain etc.
But that's not what I wanted to say, just a little bg info. Last weekend I saw a couple of my friends in a different city and the lack of opportunities to sit down was shocking (I thought it was bad where I live but wow). I might only be temporarily disabled, but there are people who won't "get better" like I will and it's their normal or old people who can't walk this much in one go anymore.
I remember a time where there were benches every 20m or so or at corners after a long stretch of a path, everywhere in parks... now you're lucky if you find one near a green area or at all (heck not even bus stops anymore!!)
I'm aware that the cities do this to go against homeless people (which is already disgusting) but they are essentially preventing other people from being able to go outside and get a little exercise or a mental health walk in. They are against disabled, old or overweight people. Which isn't news, but hell, it's so blatantly obvious now, they don't even try to hide their hate anymore.
Any of y'all remember a time when you were little and able to balance on someones short brick wall of their front yard? Those aren't a thing anymore either. People deliberately put some ugly ass fences up or really fragile thin stones where no one can sit down on. Sure, not everyone wants a stranger sitting near their front yard, but I can't remember ever being annoyed by it when I was a kid or teen to the point of actively deciding to put something that'll prevent strangers from taking a breather.
If you ever ask yourself where it started to go downward with society, it's them getting rid of FREE seating areas. (cause you have to fucking buy something to sit in the chair of a cafe or restaurant)

Dec. 29, 2023: Despite the well-documented war crimes against Palestinians and the humanitarian catastrophe inflicted by Israel ... *the US sends more weapons*

This is not defense, this is not justice, this is an affront to international law. Palestinians are being decimated at this very moment. ISRAEL MUST STOP THE CARNAGE. THE U.S. MUST STOP THE COMPLICITY. I haven't seen Palestinians or Gaza trending on Tumblr for the past several days — we can't lose momentum. DON'T LOOK AWAY. KEEP UP PUBLIC PRESSURE. PUSH FOR PEACE.
