The current fairy king, also the sin of sloth, was always lazing around on his Chastiefol, which would take the form of a pillow whenever he was not in need of a battle or rush. Although looking like a hopeless guy that wasn't able to get anything done because he was always sleeping, he was also caring; that's what you liked best about him.
King had been on top of the Boar Hat's roof, Oslo originally beside him for a while before you had come outside. You found him sleeping with the pillow hugged to his chest, which was pretty normal.. yet you always found it a little cute...
He was quick to fidget out of his sleep, sitting up and finding you standing on the roof in front of him, looking down at him.
"AH- (Y/N)," You watched him jump a bit at the sight of you staring down at him, your face had a almost serious expression but was cut off by the small laugh that came out to finding him so startled.
"sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." You spoke while taking a seat beside your significant other, taking notice at how he smiled when he took his breath and finally realized it had just been you this whole time.. nothing to worry about.
"No no, don't worry about it! I was just caught off guard." King waved his hands up in protest for a second while he turned his body to you. He jumped a bit, looking around the Boar Hat outside while he spoke: "Hey, weren't you hanging out with the others?"
"Oh, they're just drinking inside. I'm surprised you didn't come inside to join us." You spoke while your face rested against your knuckles, your arm propped up on your knee. You gave him a small look of suspicion, your eyebrow raised.. a feeling came up that he had been trying to avoid you but it wasn't likely.
"..Oh, I was just tired. Besides we drink everyday anyways, so it wouldn't matter if I don't show up once." He spoke with a sigh following, not out of disappointment or disagreement to the idea but just being pretty used to the antics of his friends... "Was there.. any other reason you came out here?"
You gave a bit of a surprised look at the question, before looking forward, your chin in the palm of your hands as you thought of what to say. King just stared at you, your expression looked.. bored. "..no real reason to be honest."
He took another exhale of some sort of relief at your answer before tilting his head slightly at you, resting his hands onto the pillow he was hugging onto. His eyes stared at you; in the silence he spoke up again, not being hundred percent convinced your answer was true. "..I know you, the others are being loud and everything so why would you come out here to sit with me in silence..? You clearly want something or something's on your mind." King sighed, a small look of disappointment that you weren't being honest with him.
Slowly turning to look at him, the expression was unreadable as you stared. You pulled your head away from your hand, placing it on your lap. "..can I.. sleep beside you..?" You asked with your ears a bit tinted with red. You felt a bit awkward asking the question, even if you guys were already in a relationship you both never knew when to make a move it seemed like.
The way you ears were tinted red didn't go unnoticed by him, making him feel a small sense of fluster for a second.. But he was quick to try to keep up his more lazy vibe, a small smile being brought to his face once again before responding with a small laugh.
"You don't really have to ask me, y'know? You can use my pillow if you want, I'm not gonna tell you no."
...
'USE THE PILLOW? YOU'RE SUCH A MORON?! HOW STUPID MUST I BE!! THEY OBVIOUSLY WANTED TO SLEEP BESIDE YOU!! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY YES?!! IDIOT IDIOT!!'
...
As King gestured with a smile to you, handing his pillow over and watching as you'd hug it to your chest, he was beating himself up inside. Despite his internal yells, he didn't make a comment, he kept his smile and stayed silent, watching over you while you decided how to go about using it. He did however feel a little disappointment..
While taking the Chastiefol with a smile on your face, you hugged the pillow to your chest. It was definitely nice to hold, fluff and cushiony. Slowly, you laid your head on Kings shoulder.
King stayed still while you slowly pushed yourself against him, laying onto him. His eyes widened a slight bit at the suddenness of your action.. he was definitely flustered at the moment, but he didn't want to show it, to not ruin it.
"U-Uhm, comfy..?" He spoke as his eyes darted to the side away from you with a small stutter due to not really expecting the action.
"mhmm.." a hum left your lips while pressing your cheek onto his shoulder. Your eyes were shut, if you listened close enough you could definitely tell his heart was beating quickly. ".. you're such an idiot." You spoke with a small chuckle leaving your mouth.

Helbram would walk around, the arm of his human form would move heavily against the ground as he slowly carried his feet. He felt tired and restless, blood on his hands carried more then he'd ever want to admit hundred years ago.
Slowly, he pulled his helmet off, revealing his dead yet tired expression as he transformed back into his fairy state. He sighed, his back ached.
Helbram was slow to fly up and lay on his chest on a sturdy tree, his wings in the air as they spread apart and felt the air move against them. He was slow to shut his eyes before his ears twitched at the sound of movement near him.
Quickly, he flinched up to look at his surroundings only to notice a certain pair of wings he knew very well, his eyes were quick to focus on their face. "(Y/N)"
How long has it been when they met? He couldn't remember.. They always had this.. ability to just ease his tension, even if it meant being miles apart, whenever they popped up his head he felt easier.
"What are you doing here?" He spoke, quick to levitate down from the tree to where you stood, face-to-face with you as he crossed his arms over his chest, his expression was tired.. you could see the eye bags underneath his eyes.
"..I would ask the same thing to you too.. but," you paused, not wanting to think of what he was doing out here... After all, there was definitely a village cleaned out nearby. ".. nevermind."
He didn't say anything, turning his head away. Helbram wasn't one to push people away easily, in the past at least, but he couldn't bring himself to be near you.. especially with what he's become into. "You should go home."
"but I just got here." You spoke with a small smile, your arms waved in the air as you tried to express your sympathy with a bit of liveliness.
".. exactly." He sighed with a head shake and small chuckle, his voice tired as well.
You didn't turn away from him, just staring up before you sat down on the grass, your back against the sturdy tree while leaves fell down upon the both of you. "..tired?"
"..yeah."
You chuckled while holding a hand out to him, which made him flinch a bit. "C'mon, just lay down.."
Helbram stared down at you from where he stood in the air, his eyebrow raised as he smiled at the gesture.. feeling a bit taken back yet amused. "Seriously?"
"at least for five minutes. That wouldn't kill you." You spoke with an eyeroll, playful yet serious now as you looked up at him, upset.
...
Helbram sighed out, ".. you're an idiot.." he spoke while sitting down the grass in front of you, slowly laying down again you. His arms were wrapped around your body slowly with his chin on your chest. He looked up at you only to feeling his face burn slightly and hide his face against your skin.
"I know." You spoke with a empathetic smile, looking down at the poor fairy while one arm would brush up against his back, rubbing him slowly to ease the tension and the other brushed through his hair. "..please rest, you need it.."
...
"..thanks." he spoke tiredly, his breath was slow and warm against your skin but a small smile tugged against his lips. You knew he was likely to tease you about this later when he's more energetic... As long as he slept. Poor fairy.

The Guardian of the Fountain of Youth sat at the highest point of the great tree. She was often bored and always awake, never allowing herself to rest properly because of her role. She needed to protect this forest, even if it meant losing her own time.
Because of this, you had often come up to join her and fill that void of boredom. You brought many little trinkets and gifts, anything you could find in the forest which would spark some joy from her.
She sat at the top of the tree, waiting for you, like usual, the time ticking slowly.
"Elaine," She was quick to turn and see you; a smile spreading on her lips to see the fairy she knew so little about but always loved to know more about. ".. I'm sorry I took longer than I expected, I wanted to find something special for you."
"no, don't worry.. I don't mind." Her voice was soft as you looked at her face, the eye bags she had didn't go unnoticed by you which did upset you somewhat, especially when hearing the yawn that would leave her lips.
"What is it that you have?" Elaine asked curiously while noticing the small sheet in your hand, you held in carefully, something to not be hurt.
"Oh, this?"
You opened the sheet in your hands slowly, holding it out to her. "..it's an Elaine flower." You spoke with a small laugh under your breath, feeling a bit proud of yourself. "I found it and thought of you."
Although you felt a bit old and cheesy for your actions and what you said, the smile on her face did not disappoint.
It's petals were pure white, a multitude of them as they branched from different sections all similar to one another. The flower, itself, was closed off together rather than open.
"..Oh, thank you." She while taking the flower from you, admiring the gift in her hands. It wasn't often that she could come down from her area to see what was going on in the fairy forest. "Its lovely."
...
A small yawn fell from her lips again, making you frown from annoyance. "Elaine." You spoke up to her, catching her attention quickly. "How much sleep are you getting?"
She seemed sad, noticing your worry for her. "Not much.." she'd admit while looking down at the flower in her hands, she didn't like how it was going for her... Being a guardian of such a powerful item to their forest wasn't easy, especially with her brother gone.
You were quiet, looking at her before you levitated you on a sturdy branch. It had a nice view of the fountain of youth but also of the forest.
"..Why don't you get some sleep, dear? I'll watch over the forest for you.." you spoke out to her with a smile, watching as her eyes shot up to you, a bit surprised but definitely grateful.
It didn't take long for Elaine to take a seat beside you; the gift of the flower in her hands, the wind blew through her hair slightly. "..you don't have too.." she spoke, feeling a bit guilty.
"no no, I want you to get some rest.. You need it." You spoke, wrapping your arm over and pressing her head to your shoulder as some hair fell down her face. She felt glad to have someone like you looking out for her.

It's been a good long minute, the once fairy king and commandment of repose had sat at the top of the tallest tree. Gloxinia's been trying to get used to adjusting to the new generation and world, feeling a bit down. He stared at the horizon, the sun setting slowly over the trees and watching many of the little fairies falling into a deep rest.
It's about time he got some sleep as well.
His leg was propped up on the tree, his elbow against his knee as his face rested in the palm of his hand.
His attention was caught by a certain fairy he's been seeing a lot more lately.. it was a odd feeling in his chest, but he couldn't help but not want to look away.
His head dropped as a sigh left his lips, his hair fell down his shoulders as he slowly sat up. He wanted to speak to them, everyday, but with his past failures as a.. friend, he couldn't even look at them properly. It was difficult enough knowing they survived, but did they really want to see him?
Or was it out of pity?
Slowly he looked up at the stars for a minute of reassurance but gave up on the idea, sending one more look to where they were but they had disappeared.
Oh well.
Gloxinia laid onto his chest against the branch, one arm drapped off to the side, swaying off the tree and in the air, while his other propped under his cheek like a pillow. His majestic wings spread apart in the cold air as he tried to shut his eyes.
Suddenly he felt a weight against his back, in between his wings. He was quick to get up slightly and look behind him.
"What the.." he stopped at sight of the same fairy he would think of laying on his back. A peaceful smile on their lips. "(Y/N)." Gloxinia spoke under his breath, same hint of surprise in his voice.
Their eyes slowly fluttered open up at him, resting on their cheek before tilting their chin on their arms against his back, "sorry. I should've asked, but you seemed lonely. I can get off."
Gloxinia stared back at them for a moment, before laying back on his arm. "You could.." he spoke with a small sign of disappointment in his voice as he paused. "..but you don't have too. I don't mind if it's you."
"..wow, really?" You asked with a bit of disbelief to the second comment, asking for confirmation.
"Why are you surprised?" He asked with a small laugh of amusement at your question, seeming a bit more surprised then you are when you asked. "Go ahead and sleep, I don't mind."
".. I see."
Gloxinia felt a bit lonely during the nights, but the familiar feeling you'd bring him and the warmth felt good, it was like the sun. Your body wrapped on top of him like a blanket he's needed for a long time.
".. I trust you. I always have." His words were a bit of stutter, unsure if he actually believed himself. He hasn't been one to trust so easily in so long but.. he knows you. And that's what he liked about you.
No lies, just needed rest.
𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞
"You!" The counselor to the fairy kings, Gerheade, called out to you from afar. The weight of her body carried her through the air as she followed to where you are.
"So this is where you've gone. I thought I told you to stay away from the humans.." Gerheade spoke with a small sigh of disappointment, although not surprised by your disappearance.
"whoops, busted." You spoke to lighten the mood with a little laugh to yourself noticing her shake her head at you.
"how many times I have told you.." Gerheade muttered to herself while seeming upset.
Of course, Gerheade wasn't actually angry with you.. no, never. She was just protective over the fairies, and especially people she was most close with you. This included you. She didn't want to lose anyone important, not again.
"I can't help my curiosity, Gerheade, dear. I promise I'm being careful." You spoke with a small shrug, not seeming to mind your own sudden disappearances. You were never one to be able to sit still, wanting to see what was outside this forest and adventure.
She didn't say anything, it wasn't like she would change your mind so easily with another one of her own lectures.
"..it doesn't matter, as long as you're safe.. and you come back to me.." she'd speak, muttering the last part to mostly herself.
You couldn't help but smile at her; always finding the moments where she'd let her walls down so she could express herself emotionally and not think like a fairy in charge of others to protect...
"C'mon. I must've kept you waiting for a long time."
You'd speak to her while flying to a small safe haven for the two of you, she'd follow closely, wanting to keep an eye on you.
There were moments where it felt like she was taking care of you, but she didn't mind...
As you'd sit on the grass, your back against the giant roots that branched out of the ground, Gerheade would watch with a pretty smile. She did sometimes feel bad, like she was holding you back whenever you wanted to leave...
"so, what did you see out there?"
Gerheade would ask while sitting down beside you, watching you rest your head on her lap and listening to you tell your story...
It was all nice, listening and waiting before watching one another fall asleep with eachother.

I don’t think it was ever mentioned that Meliodas and Zeldris had a mom and weren’t just created directly by the Demon King, but I’m a firm believer they did have a mother—she just "disappeared" under some weird circumstances.
I mean, this is just my headcanon.
I mean, it’s pretty much certain they had a mother, and she spoiled them a lot when they were little kids—even when they were already strong, she kept doting on them. Back then, the Demon Realm had some level of peace because she managed to keep the Demon King in check. But everything fell apart when she suddenly disappeared. That’s when Meliodas became emotionally distant, Zeldris shut himself off, and the Demon King lost what little sanity he had left, turning completely cruel.
I also feel like things would’ve been different with Estarossa. I mean, when Gowther messed with everyone’s memories to make it all fit, he made Estarossa into an excessively spoiled brat. He probably did that because he knew Ygraine’s (Meliodas’ mother) personality and how she was with her kids. So, in this version, Estarossa really became a pampered kid, doted on by his mom because he didn’t have his own darkness. For years, he lived under her protection until his father, out of pity and after hearing her pleas, gave him a small amount of darkness to help him survive.
But when his mother disappeared, he completely fell apart. He couldn’t control his memories, and sometimes he’d feel like things were happening in his head that weren’t real. He would have panic attacks, desperately missing his mom, and his mind would create fake images where she rejected him, just like his father and Zeldris did.

Estarossa
Tumblr media
Ygraine loved children, and the fact that she was now the mother of three little boys filled her with pure joy. She adored dedicating all her time to them—watching them grow and change brought her an indescribable warmth that overflowed into absolute happiness
When her firstborn, Meliodas, came into the world, Ygraine was overcome with joy, though tinged with sadness. Having a child meant she had to give up her responsibilities as the Commandment of Love—a frustrating reality. Yet, the thought of caring for the child who had grown inside her for months made her feel radiant. Her joy only grew as the Demon King himself often visited to check on her and the baby. Sometimes, he’d even stay in her chambers, sitting silently as Ygraine cradled little Meliodas in her arms, singing lullabies she made just for him. The Demon King never held the baby, only watching from a distance, but for Ygraine, these moments were precious. The mere thought of the great monarch sharing these small, intimate moments with her and her son filled her with immense happiness.
These sweet moments lasted for years, through Meliodas’s infancy and early childhood, until Ygraine became pregnant with their second child, Estarossa. His birth, however, brought disappointment to the Demon King, who felt no demonic power emanating from the boy. The monarch’s disgust for his own son was no secret—whispers and laughter spread through the Demon Realm about the “useless” prince. Many believed the Demon King would discard Ygraine for birthing such a defective child. Yet, he didn’t. Out of love for Ygraine and her devotion to Estarossa, he silenced every rumor and allowed the boy to live.
For Ygraine, it was different. From the moment she first held little Estarossa—or “Rossa,” as she lovingly called him—she was utterly captivated. The boy was a perfect blend of her and the Demon King, a sight that made her fall in love with him instantly. His small, fragile form awakened a protective instinct in her. She vowed to shield him from anyone and anything—even his father and older brother if necessary.
Now, Ygraine found herself in a quiet, desolate corner of the human realm with her youngest, Estarossa, while Meliodas trained under Chandler. Taking advantage of their solitude, she stepped outside with her baby to enjoy a bit of fresh air
The wind brushed against her face as the sun’s gentle rays warmed her skin. It was calming, a brief escape from her worries. She felt the soft, insistent tug of Estarossa feeding, occasionally biting down lightly, sending small jolts of pain through her. She chose to ignore the discomfort, focusing instead on her baby’s sweet face.
“You know, Rossa,” she began, her voice gentle, “I talked to your father, and he’s agreed to give you a little bit of demonic magic to make you stronger. Isn’t that amazing?”
The baby paused his feeding to stare at her with wide, curious eyes. He didn’t understand her words, but seeing her happy made him giggle, trying to mimic her smile.
“Yes, my love, it’s wonderful,” Ygraine laughed softly. “You should smile about it too. It took a bit of convincing—your father’s so grumpy, you know—but I’m sure, deep down, he loves us.”
She chuckled at her own words, her voice light and warm.
“I think you get me, don’t you? I’m sure you do. So maybe I should stop calling your father grumpy—he’s just… tough, that’s all. But don’t worry, sweet boy. Mama’s here, for you and Meliodas. To protect you, to spoil you both so much that you’ll forget how grumpy he can be.”
Tumblr media
A now older Estarossa rested on his mother’s lap as Ygraine shifted to make herself more comfortable, her growing belly making it difficult. She lovingly stroked his hair, listening attentively as her son excitedly recounted what Meliodas had taught him. He spoke with wide-eyed admiration, his voice filled with awe.
"Then my big brother took his sword and sliced that nasty goddess clean in half, just like that, without even trying! And after that, all the others around her ran off scared!" Estarossa exclaimed, his small hands gesturing dramatically as he described the scene.
He hesitated for a moment before adding, "Oh, and he told me not to tell you about it… that he took me to see him kill that goddess, 'cause you might get mad."
As the boy kept talking, realization dawned on him. His words had spilled out too fast, and he’d let something slip that he shouldn’t have. Panic flickered in his eyes, and tears began to form. The thought of disappointing his older brother filled him with dread, and he looked up at his mother, his expression wavering between guilt and fear.
Ygraine fought the urge to laugh. The situation was amusing—her sweet little Rossa, so used to sharing everything with her, had accidentally revealed too much and was now on the verge of a meltdown. Though she was genuinely annoyed that Meliodas had exposed her younger son to such violence despite her warnings, there was something endearing about Estarossa’s childlike honesty and the way he was now drowning in nerves over betraying his brother's trust.
She softened her expression, placing a gentle hand on his cheek to calm him. "It’s okay, my little Rossa. Your brother won’t be mad because I won’t tell him you told me, alright? So don’t worry—this will be our little secret. Do we have a deal?"
She pulled the young boy into her lap fully, resting his head against her chest as she ran her fingers through his soft silver hair.
"Are you sure, Mommy? Please, don’t tell him! If he gets mad, he won’t take me with him anymore," Estarossa whimpered, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"I promise, my love," she said warmly, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead. "It’ll be our secret. You know your mother keeps all your secrets, no matter how strange or unexpected they are."
Without another word, Estarossa threw his arms around her, clutching her tightly in an embrace full of love and gratitude. Ygraine smiled softly, holding her son close, her hand gently stroking his back to soothe him.
"Don’t you worry, my little Rossa," she whispered. "You’ll always have me to protect you."

Meliodas
Tumblr media
His father had truly beaten him this time. The great monarch had apparently decided that Meliodas was now strong enough to train directly with him and put him to the test. Summoning his eldest son, the Demon King launched relentless attacks—using different forms of magic and striking from all angles. At first, Meliodas managed to block a few blows, but the sheer intensity quickly drained him. Even as his energy faded, the attacks didn’t stop, leaving him battered and bleeding with deep wounds scattered across his small frame.
"I thought you were strong enough to defend yourself. Chandler praises you too much. Go heal yourself," the Demon King’s booming, weighty voice echoed across the training grounds.
Meliodas, still barely more than an infant, had only begun the second stage of his life a few months ago. Though he was strong enough to venture into the outside world, the harshness of his father’s words shook him. His small hands trembled as he forced himself to stand, his body aching.
"Yes, Father. I’m sorry I’m not strong enough," he replied, his voice wavering as he held back tears. He knew crying would only make things worse.
From the sidelines, Ygraine had watched the entire ordeal. Her heart ached with every blow her husband had delivered to her sweet boy. Ignoring the Demon King’s attempts to speak to her, she fixed him with a glare and rushed to Meliodas. Without hesitation, she scooped him into her arms, cradling his small, injured body close to her chest. Her steps were quick as she made her way back to their chambers, her mind racing with worry.
"YOU WENT TOO FAR THIS TIME!" she shouted, her voice laced with both anger and fear. "You need to let Meliodas rest! I’ll train him myself."
The Demon King, unbothered, frowned as he replied, "You spoil him too much, Ygraine. He’s my heir—he must be strong, no matter the cost."
"Please," Ygraine pleaded, desperation in her voice. "Just let me train him until he’s healed. That’s all I ask."
Her words hung heavy in the air. For a moment, the Demon King seemed to weigh her plea before sighing, his tone sharp with irritation. "Lately, all you do is beg me for things—ever since Estarossa’s birth, it’s been one ridiculous request after another. But fine. This will be the last time I give in to you. Train him yourself until he recovers."
Without waiting for a response, he turned and left. Ygraine wasted no time, hurrying back to her chambers with her son limp in her arms.
Later, she lay on her bed, Meliodas’s small frame resting on her chest as she gently ran her fingers through his blonde hair. Her magic flowed softly into his body, easing his pain and helping heal the wounds left by his father’s brutality. Beside them, little Estarossa slept peacefully, curled up with his head resting against her side.
"My sweet boy," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "Mama’s going to protect you from your father, even if it costs me my life. I’ll do everything I can to keep you safe."
Half-conscious, Meliodas stirred, his small hands gripping her tightly as he mumbled in a fragile voice, "D-Don’t say that, Mommy… I’ll get really strong, and I’ll protect you. And I’ll protect Estarossa too."
Ygraine’s heart swelled at his words, though tears pricked the corners of her eyes. She kissed his head softly and replied, "Of course you will, my brave boy. But for now, let your mama protect both of you."
With that, she held both her sons close, their warmth bringing her a fleeting sense of peace. Deciding to spend the coming weeks doting on her boys, she closed her eyes, vowing to help Meliodas heal—not just physically, but from the weight of his father’s cruelty.

ZELDRIS
Tumblr media
The little Zeldris had only been born a few days ago, but in that short time, he had become utterly attached to his mother, refusing to be separated from her for even a minute. Every time someone tried to take him away from Queen Ygraine so she could rest, the tiny, dark-haired prince would burst into an unbearable cry that would shatter the eardrums of anyone nearby.
Yet, despite the exhaustion and weakness she had felt from the beginning to the end of her pregnancy, the queen didn't seem bothered by it. Even when she felt like she might collapse, the sound of her youngest prince's cries brought her a strange sense of joy. So, she would muster all her strength, trying every method she could to soothe him, succeeding for brief moments before his emerald eyes—the same as her firstborn's—would fill with fear again, only to be calmed by the sound of her voice.
"What is it, Zeldris? Why are you crying like this? Are you afraid of something, my prince?" she asked softly, her gaze warm and gentle. The baby looked at her attentively, as though he were trying to memorize every detail of her face.
"Why do you look at me so intently? I know your mother is beautiful, but you seem to be studying me quite seriously, little prince," she chuckled softly, her voice filled with affection.
"It seems I’m talking to myself, since you can’t fully understand me yet. But no matter. It looks like you still enjoy my voice, don’t you?" she smiled at him, rocking him gently in her arms, hoping to lull him into sleep, even if it was just for a few minutes, so that she too could get some rest.
"Now, let your mommy sleep for a little while. We’ll talk more later."
Tumblr media
At this point, Zeldris was around 10 years old, and despite being a small child, he possessed immense magical power that filled both his father and mother with pride. His mother, in particular, was especially proud of her three princes.
She spent every day by his side, as her weakened condition didn’t allow her to do much. On good days, she could barely get out of bed, and even something as simple as helping her little son change his clothes was a great effort. Despite her limitations, she tried to pamper Zeldris, making sure he didn’t feel like she loved him any less. Whenever the young prince came home from training, she would heal his wounds, lying next to him and singing lullabies to help him relax and fall asleep, just as she had done when he was an infant—still the same child who felt lost when away from her.
"Mom, are you really okay? You look so tired. I can heal my wounds myself, or I can ask Meliodas to do it," Zeldris said, his young face full of concern.
"I'm fine, my prince. You know your mom is a little weak right now, but don't worry. I'll take care of your wounds, and then we can go out of the castle to see the animals in the human world," she said, her words strained. Even speaking left her lungs feeling like they were on fire.
"There's no need. I can go by myself so you don’t get tired," Zeldris offered, still worried about his mother’s health.
"No, we’re going together. I’m fine," Ygraine insisted. Zeldris knew it wasn’t wise to contradict his mother, so he finally fell silent, choosing to accept her decision.
However, when his mother left her room to head to her own chambers to change into something more comfortable and fetch her medicine—prepared by the magicians of Belialuin, who claimed it would cure the queen—Zeldris never imagined it would be the last time he’d see her. Hours passed as he waited for her to return, but she never came back. Eventually, curiosity and unease got the better of him, and he stepped out of his room, only to find the entire kingdom in chaos.
Everyone seemed to be in a state of hysteria, even his father, who rarely displayed any emotion. Zeldris couldn’t understand what was happening until he overheard one of the guards whispering to another that Queen Ygraine had vanished without a trace. No one had seen her leave the kingdom, or even her chambers. There was no sign of her, and no one could explain how such a thing had happened.
Hearing this broke Zeldris’s young heart. A crushing wave of guilt overwhelmed him as he thought, If only I had gone with her… if only I hadn’t let her go alone, she might still be here.
From that day forward, the peace and warmth that once existed in the Demon Realm disappeared completely. Even for the king’s own children, life became harsher. The once-distant but tolerable father they knew seemed to transform into someone unrecognizably cruel. Under the guise of "making them stronger," he treated Meliodas, Zeldris, and even Estarossa with merciless coldness.
Now it seemed as though he hated them. Zeldris watched in shock as his father even went so far as to threaten to strip Estarossa of the magic power their mother had begged for months to have bestowed upon him. It was as if with Ygraine’s disappearance, whatever humanity and softness the Demon King had possessed had vanished as well, leaving only bitterness and cruelty behind.

Seven Deadly Headcanons
Or seven thoughts I have about the Seven Deadly Sins.
Ban has definitely gone Gordon Ramsey on Meliodas at some point for not only his terrible cooking but also because he can't organize a kitchen for shit.
Ban spent several nights reorganizing the Boar Hat's kitchen and has a system for keeping things tidy. Meliodas once messed with this organization system and Ban's response was putting up a sign that said Meliodas was banned from the kitchen. The ban was lifted only when Meliodas put things back in their place. He's banned from cooking but not from being in the kitchen.
Due to his rough circumstances growing up, Ban is very insistent on the Sins getting their three meals a day. He'll even make accommodations or adjustments to dishes to make sure that they can appeal to others. No one is going hungry when Ban's around. Even Gowther - who probably doesn't need to eat due to him being a doll - is not immune from this.
Gowther has a soft spot for romance novels and he and Merlin have a lil' book club where they discuss their current reads. Escanor and Diane joined in eventually.
I feel that most of the Sins would be bilingual multilingual headcanons my beloved . Meliodas, Gowther, and Merlin would know the demon's language. Meliodas would try learning the goddesses' language because of Elizabeth and Merlin would already know it and she'd probably know Welsh. King would know the fairy's language and whatever Liones' vernacular is. And while Ban may not be as fluent in it, he's trying to learn the fairy's language from Elaine and King. And yes, Benwick would be a bilingual kingdom and you can pry that headcanon from my cold, dead hands. Also, Diane would know both Liones vernacular and the giants' language. Actually, King would also know the giants' language. Escanor would know multiple human languages.
Ban was lowkey having the mother of all panics when Elaine was pregnant because he didn't want to mess up as a parent and wanted Lancelot to have a good childhood. So when Lancelot and Jericho disappeared, that time was just really rough for him because emotions are a bitch and he was just constantly blaming himself. If he had done something, then his son wouldn't have disappeared.
During Lancelot's disappearance, Ban developed a tradition of pouring out a bottle of Aberdeen on the night of his son's disappearance. Also, he was kind of forced into more healthy ways of coping because without his immortality, he couldn't fall back into self-harm. And he couldn't drink himself senseless because he had a kingdom to lead as the king of Benwick.

also thinking about writing a logan x reader but the reader is cursed die at a certain age then get reincarnated each time. can u just imagine logan is literally cursed to live for yonks and he keeps seeing his lover dying in front of him then he has to search for YEARS to find her again.
1800s? BOOM! scarlet fever. wwI? BOOM! killed in action. wwII? BOOM! shot. tranquil, domestic life with a loving husband and finally safe from any wars? BOOM! victor.
all i want is tragedy. tragedy, death, longing, hurt, and comfort. and logan.

(more chapter illustrations use the #Eight Guards of the Abyss) The picture shows Lancelot and Galahad, I drew it last year or two year? who cares, it's still one of my most fave pictures Teaser to the chapter: Sir Pelliot has an encounter with Morgana. In the past: Now that the Liones Knights found the kids they have to now the truth what happened to them.
Pelliot's daughter Maribel, well she was drawn long before I decided who her parents are. now she looks like her mother, but also acts a lot like her father.

Okay but wait because now that it's come to mind now I'm hella confused
Okay so I think its agreed upon to say that logic in Seven Deadly Sins is hella confusing and rarely explained
A lot of these things I question are of the fairy race. So the story basically says that the seed of the fairy tree is like... A god almost? Like it's technically of same birth, or born from I can't remember, from the Demon King and Supreme Deity.
Does this make the fairy kings related to Meliodas and Elizabeth?
And are the fairy kings, and siblings, like demi gods? That'd explain their— uh, magic abilities and everything.
And how come Elaine and Gerheade don't get any of these abilities? Like, they are born from the same fairy tree?? Doesn't becoming fairy king just mean you're born from the tree, that'd just mean that Elaine and Gerheade would technically be fairy queens? Or princesses.
Also, if the fairy forest had that protective barrier around it, and only the fairy king could allow people in or out, how was Ban able to get inside? I mean, both before he met Elaine and while trying to revive her.
Also I don't understand the point of the ability to levitate. I mean, I guess it'd make sense before you get your wings but then its useless after they get it. Like wouldn't it be better if the fairies couldn't fly AT ALL until they got those wings.
And how does their ability of transformation work? I mean as in to change their appearance to look human?? Like King states he just likes to look like a fat human but why and how does it work? Could they technically look like anything? Change gender, height, size, whatever?
And how does the fountain of youth work? Has it just been.. flowing for 4000 years?? Or does it take other forms? And what if you were to drink from the actually lake, not the cup?
Guys I actually love sds and the fairy race, they legit have so many interesting ideas and questions.
