Water is bad bc in timeline 1, the day they would've found out that Will was at the least gone would've been the day they found El, meaning it would've rained that night.
The jackets, HELLO????? I already can smell the parallel
@greenfiend already wrote a while ago how that scene from s1 may foreshadow Mike coming out to El and I think that’s maybe it! Or they’re having a heart-to-heart after just to clear things up/open up about Will
I mean, look at him!!! It’s the same Mike who feels understood and accepted for who he is
literally love triangle between twins with daddy issues and connection to the force and sassy hero boy who cant say i love you. i think ive seen this film before......
El dreamed of being like Nancy. That's why there are so many St@ncy parallels. She dreamed of being Nancy when she saw her in the photos. Siblings, parents, a girl best friend, a boyfriend. She's gotten all of those. But Nancy's boyfriend didn't work out, if you'll remember. There was trouble with the "I love you"s and they broke up, but it wasn't hostile. They're perfectly civil, even friendly this past season (undertones aside).
She IS a parallel of season 1 Nancy. Sometimes in more ways than we'd like. She's grieving her best friend, she's having relationship troubles.
But she wanted to be a normal teenage girl. Normal teenage girls break up with their boyfriends. That's why it parallels them specifically. Not just because "relationship that ended". Because El always wanted to be Nancy and she's succeeded. The breakup is honestly part of that.
Kon, lands behind Tim, eyes glowing red: *in a deep and gruff voice* Tim!
Tim: Kon? What up?
Kon: Ugh. Why didn't you tell me you got Robin jacked? I gotta hear it from that demon spawn... Well?
Tim: *sighs* I didn't get jacked. I got fired. But yeah. Alright, I should've told you. I was just... embarrassed. And it all happened so fast. I'm still trying to sort things out, see things rationally.
Kon: Huh. Well, you could've talked to me about it.
Tim: Heh, yeah. 'Cause you're so dang rational. Ha-ha. I'm sorry, that's mean.
