I can't get over this scene with Einrich, being able to have my Rogue Trader flirt with him so blatantly blindsided me lmao

When first meeting him, I immediately honed in on him because his demeanor interacting with the Rogue Trader was SO different from everyone else you're being introduced to- it's not that he doesn't show the RT respect, but he isn't obsequious, reverent, fearfully deferential. He's so casual in his speech, his mannerisms- like he has no fear of talking to the RT as he would someone on equal footing to himself (and, well, he's a man who recently shot straight up through the ranks and in hierarchical importance mostly due to the mass death of everyone ranked above him. But he doesn't seem at all anxious about developing and wearing the Proper Bearing for his new position and role- he's got this surety to how he holds himself and communicates, even if it runs counter to expectations set by literally everyone else)

Anyway I honed in on it because it sets up such a fun dynamic potentially- I am definitely playing my RT as someone who is feeling somewhat out-of-place in their new-found role of extreme importance both in their dynasty and in the Imperium, and this sudden shift to how people speak to them, look up to them, all of the expectations in decorum and religious fervency and authoritarian leadership. (Meanwhile I'm playing them very Iconoclast, rest in peace Abelard) . I feel like Einrich would be someone the RT would be drawn to in this context- someone whose words and behaviors and opinions are not crafted and drenched in worship. No pretenses, no placing them on a pedestal. Just an unexpectedly casual and breezy rapport despite the very, very clear hierarchy forming the foundation of their relationship.

Each of the fics is exactly 100 words long, a challenge I set for myself alongside using a set of prompts for a Christmas challenge because what AO3 writer makes things easy? The prompts are in bold italics in every fic so you can see which word sprouted each idea.

I am nearly through my third playthrough of this game and Heinrix has got me down bad, but I try to give love to all potential pairings in this collection. The fics range from general audiences to some spicy suggestiveness, but there's nothing explicit so I've kept it to a Teen rating for language.
