do y'all see what i mean? the walks are all so awkward in a way that makes me suspect they were instructed to use the walk i've seen at other BTSSB shows (and just EGL shows in general) that is sort of an elegant promenade you might expect during a debutante coming out mixed with lots of coy smiles and glances, but they were all too genuinely nervous to do a performance of shyness.

the timing of everyone coming out is so awkward, the girls veer all over the runway to a level that i've never seen before. you'll have some issues with sharing space at pretty much any show, but it's like they all forgot another girl was coming out behind them? or expect her to be in a bigger hoop skirt? the two girls who try and kick up their ankles at the same time and absolutely beef it. compare this to the 2023 autumn collection or their show spring Premium Tea Party show. very polished, very intentional. what happened here.

the Baby The Stars Shine Bright runway show from nyfw this year is so awkward and painful to watch i'm obsessed with it. none of their other runway shows have ever had such terrible vibes from what i can tell. oh to have been a fly on the wall backstage that day.

I think it’s safe to say now that I am fully back into egl. I’m now working on my goal for 2025. Not going to say what it is yet, only that I’m already halfway there! 💖

Also I’m realizing now that red wig I wore for Halloween does not suit me at all! It looked more like a darker maroon on the website but it’s more clown like on me. 😭

I am cringe and I am free, and free I am to spend a silly amount of time fleshing out a Hiveswap insert.

This is my trollsona, in my ideal fantasy scenario I have tons of money to spend on my EGL fixation, and I could telepathically communicate my favorite vkei songs... like, forcefully... to others. I think that would be on brand for a Clown Churchgoer, because I'd occasionally play ICP too.

I'm really creative so their lusus would be a butterfly, who they call Papapillon. They communicate psychically, which, I think looks really funny.

Their typing quirk is just the capitalization of pronouns, because it looks a bit ominous, and that's what I'm going for.

Oof I agree about Lor being mediocre, even though I adore her. Her most recent video didn't actually go in depth about what makes EGL distinct from other styles, she just read stuff from LJ, which she's done before.

Her comments are full of people saying "I'm not in the community, but I feel that-" shhhh!!! This doesn't involve you!!!! non-EGLs think we're all mean and strict, so I think Lor tries to find balance and validation by being palatable to them.

Then there's the DI sponsorship mess, that further leads beginners to a bad start. I wanna give the benefit of the doubt, and say that she had a contract that didn't allow her to back out/denounce them. But the damage is done.

On a positive note, I love how experimental her coords are (esp clownlita), and her more advanced/insider content (making Hot Topic coords, wearing 1 dress 5 ways, reaction videos, etc.) can be thought provoking and makes her comments section less of a headache. She has experience in filmmaking, she could ABSOLUTELY start a series of EGL interviews. I honestly wanna see her do more skits

I think if Lor wants to go full clown like I know she wants to she should just do it, but she built her brand around lolita fashion so I think she consistently tries to combine the two.

With all that experience her editing style is stuck in the past, and I really think she’s gotta make some changes.

But idk, I’m just… sick of it all.
