information i gathered from last night’s meet the team event for the bridgeport islanders:

cole bardreau never realized that i didn’t have my own ticket and that i was just mooching off my dad. even though i never went to season ticket member events

all the newer players are very quite still

i am eetu liukas’ favorite! he gave me the signed shirt he had to give out to anyone

pierre engvall and sam bolduc are besties

matt maggio is still very sassy with me

matt and marc gatcomb were hilarious together, gave everyone bunny ears in photos

matt still likes to yell/sass at me

will dufour is aware that we like him mom more than we do him

i barely reach tikki’s shoulder and he grew an inch over the summer

cole bardreau thinks tyce thompson would be the first to die in a zombie apocalypse. tyce thinks it’s matt. grant hutton thinks it matt or tyce. and cam theising, marc, and matt all think it’s matt.

grant trusts matt and tyce the least to babysit his baby, but trust chris terry the most. chris trust matt and tyce the least too, and trust grant the most.

pierre engvall doesn’t know any abba songs despite being sweedish

henrik tikkanen lied to us about being a swiftie and said “who told you that?” (he did). aiden fulp as he was walk by said “he is one”. tikki then said he knows all the songs just not the names.

tiki’s go to chipotle order is: white rice, no beans, chicken, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and something else i couldn’t figure out bc of how loud it was and how far away he was bc of his height

ISLANDERS BEAT WOLF PACK 4-0 SUNDAY

(October 20, 2024) - Jakub Skarek made 24 saves for his fifth career American Hockey League shutout on Sunday, backstopping the Bridgeport Islanders (1-3-0-1), the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, to a 4-0 win over the Hartford Wolf Pack (2-1-0-1) at Total Mortgage Arena. It was the Islanders’ first shutout since March 30, 2023 against Charlotte. Brian Pinho (shorthanded), Alex Jefferies, Marc Gatcomb, and William Dufour scored goals for Bridgeport in the team’s first victory of the season. Bridgeport improved to 1-0-1-0 against Hartford this season. BOX SCORE Following a scoreless first period, the Islanders exploded for three goals in 5:45 during the second. The scoring started 6:53 into the frame when Pinho converted his second shorthanded goal in five games while Eetu Liukas was in the box for hooking. Pinho carried the puck into the offensive zone and fired a low wrister from the left circle past Louis Domingue to break the deadlock. Pinho shares the AHL lead in shorthanded goals early on (two). Less than four minutes later, Jefferies buried a heavy wrist shot from the right circle that deflected off Domingue’s glove and into the back of the net. Marshall Warren earned his first professional assist, and Skarek also recorded a helper at 10:16. It marked the third straight game where Jefferies scored a goal. Less than two minutes later in the frame, Wyatt Newpower sent a pass to Gatcomb in front of the net, where the latter backhanded the puck past Domingue’s glove for the Islanders' third goal. It’s the most goals the Islanders have scored in a single period this season. Bridgeport added insurance late when Dufour’s shot from the left circle deflected off Domingue's skate and into the back of the net for the game's fourth and final goal. It was Dufour’s first goal of the season, which came at 18:21 of the third. Chris Terry registered the goal's only assist. The Islanders' penalty kill had another strong performance, going 4-for-4, while their power play went 0-for-1.
